All of the staff members I encountered were so helpful. I particularly commend the in store Cafe staff. The store was extremely busy & particularly the cafe, but no one appeared frazzled & handled each customer patiently & efficiently.

This store can’t get any any good baristas beside the sweet 2 older ladies in there, the rest can’t make a good drink to save their lives. I know so many people that refuse to go there now because it’s gross. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend 🤷🏻‍♀️

Found the book I was looking for and browsed the place for other interests. It'd be nice if the book finder kiosk was available to look up books. Although Barnes and Nobles sell Starbucks products, they don't accept Starbucks gift cards.

The blond manager at Starbucks is extremely rude. The cashier was excellent, but the management really needs to watch her tone when speaking to people. I’ll return to the store for books, but not coffee again.

The food was amazing! Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Dothan 😊. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the owners as well! Not only do they cook from scratch themselves but they also stop by your table to ensure you are having the best experience! Would recommend to everyone to stop on in, you’ll leave full and happy! 😁

I bought a new Nook. Mine was so old and worn out it was falling apart. The young lady at customer care transferred information from my old nook to my new nook. What a relief! She was friendly and didn't mind helping me a bit! Now that's customer service!

Normally I love going and buying books but today makes me wanna switch to Amazon completely. I looked up a book on THEIR website and it said prices was $19. I got into the store and it was $29, I asked for a price match because it was the same book. They told me they couldn’t because the isbn number wasn’t the same. Yet it was the same book I looked up online that I had in my hand. Wound up buying it anyway because it was a gift but unsure why on your website it has one isbn number and In store it was totally different. I felt like they should have honored it but it’s over and done now.

I absolutely love coming here during my off-times but I left extremely disappointed today and a little sad. Today in the Cafe I asked for a straw after I received my iced Strawberry acai. The people who got their drinks before me asked for one and I joined them in asking for one. The barista (who has been very nice to me up until this point) looked at me and said "Why do you need a straw for? Shame on you." I don't know what I did wrong but this interaction made me a little upset and taken aback because it was a comment made out of nowhere and it also confused me. I know that alot of people are staying away from plastic use where they can to do better for our planet. So maybe that's why she said that, or maybe there's another reason I don't understand why she made that comment towards me for. If I did something wrong I didn't do it on purpose and I don't think that comment was very nice and it left me confused and thinking about the interaction all day which I hate. I enjoy going to this barns and noble often and buy at least two books a month there If not more. I'm upset that I had this interaction there at one of my favorite places in town.

I go to this B&N a lot with my fianceé. We really enjoy browsing and picking up new books to add to the ever growing TBR. the sales associates/ managers are always super friendly and recommend great books as well don't mind conversation about books I would also recommend back to them.
All in all we will likely always come back.
I do wish they could have a table that highlighted LGBTQIA+ Authors or books, that was slightly bigger.
Andrew White would be a great one to start with imo.
I think they could also do that for BIPOC authors/ books.
Idk maybe just a blurb about them and have some of their books out would help diversify some.of the selections.
Hopefully B&N will take note of that.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. I had a list of books on my phone and had no clue where to begin. Cody, Eloise, and Marissa helped me find all 8 books I wanted and they were all super kind. It made my day for sure! Thank you!

Been enjoying B&N for years. Usually hang out for hours. Friendly and helpful, too! Will order if not in stock-no payment until p/u in store.
Just don't plan on running in to pickup new tunes the first day it comes out....usually still in "the back".

It's smaller than others I've seen, but I think that Starbucks makes up for that. It has a great variety of books and some toys. The staff is very friendly and, it is kept tidy and clean. My favorite part was the little studio gibili display.

me and my boyfriend were there on a sunday, the store didn’t announce that they were closing soon so we had assumed that they would be open till 8 like usual. Some lady was yelling and asking what method we were using to pay and telling us “you don’t even have 2 minutes to look, go to customer service”. we didn’t know if she was talking to us and another sweet girl told her we didn’t hear her. she loudly said “oh they heard me.” and started talking about us as we weren’t there. at this point i just left my books where they were and we were walking out, and they had locked us in. usually my experience here is nice and i haven’t seen this lady before, but she didn’t hesitate before berating us for something we didn’t even know. we don’t live in dothan so we’re not familiar with when everything closes.

I got lost. It was on the other side of the street from where I thought it was. That being said, the store in Dothan, AL was huge, clean and well stocked with what O was looking for. And there's a Starbucks inside! Loved the visit and I'll be back!

My friend went here for a book and a Gift card for her mother then decided to also get a Java chip. The older lady at the front noticed she had a Starbucks gift card in her hands and rudely stated that they don’t accept them, which is fine. My coworker was happy to use her debit card. The reason to why it became a problem is because when my friend got to the register and was searching for her DEBIT CARD that she had just used to purchase a book with, the older worker then said rudely,” What are you looking for”. As if that was her business. My friend answer her by saying she was looking for her debit card. The other worker apologized for the lady’s behavior and said ,” she’s had a bad day”. Bad days are normal . We get it. But honestly she was a little to old to be acting like she doesn’t have manners.

B&N is quite possibly my favorite store to visit when I’m in Dothan! The employees are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind! The store is always clean and organized. Their cafe is my husband’s favorite place to purchase a black coffee; he claims it is the strongest out of all the Starbucks in town (I’m aware it’s not a true Starbucks). Keep up the great work!

Well this is the first time going into this store and I have to say they have alot of interesting stuff it's not only books they even have a kids sections as a section of toys I highly recommend this store for all books plus more it's very organized and customer service from,1-10 I give it a ten plus they have a awesome coffee shop

I had a very fun time at Barnes and noble with friends. although while in the store I was with one of my friends and I think it was the General Manager keep following us around the whole time. He asked us if we needed help we told him No but he keep following us around mind you we are black. I had a pleasant experience with everyone except him i didn't feel welcome and will not be coming back. at least they get under new management.

LARGE selection of books. My 15 yr old daughter was in heaven. I stayed in one section of the store in Dothan Al. If you visit BARNES & NOBLE you are sure to find something you like. Enjoy STARBUCKS while you shop.
