Cute and comfortable café. Friendly staff. Recommend the hot vanilla latte. Large variety of beans. We went in the afternoon, so the pastries were not fresh as in the morning. Love supporting local, small, family business.

We have been coming here 4 months and it’s always a constant struggle to get more than 3 teaspoons of boba in a Large. $14 for this… we always tip and are willing to pay extra for extra boba… This was our last time, there’s other Boba places in Dothan although this one is 3 miles from home, we won’t be doing business here anymore. On average we spend $80 a month here, and that’s our slow month, let alone if we grab food. No more. Don’t waste your money.. Green Tea is $3 at a gas station. Boba is $9 on Amazon for a 1lb tub… but it’s $9 for 3 teaspoons here plus the $3 for green tea is I guess how they estimate $14? Again… Don’t waste your time

A wonderful little coffee shop!!! Loved the drive-up window! The homemade sweet rolls were "out of this world!!". Iced tea was a flavored tea that was a nice change and breakfast sandwich was very good! Dothan, thanks for your hospitality for those of us trying to get out of the way of the storm. I'm not an expert, but this is not a latte. Coffee is over roasted and bitter, and there is no foam. Should have said something at the window since it was obviously heavier than it should have been.

Could have been an off day. The customer service here is very good, and this is not typical of the product they produce.

Great coffee, better service. All the ladies are friendly and helpful, even to customers who don't deserve it. Didn't try the food yet but coffee is amazing quality and price. If you're in the area it's definitely the way to start your day

I visited this coffee shop while in Dothan and I wish I could have taken it with me. My white chocolate with raspberry latte was delicious. My kids had the rainbow frozen ice, which they loved. Everything was absolutely perfect, so perfect I felt a review was in order. I want to go back to Dothan to have more.

Love their Cherry Boba in Sprite! Everyone is always super nice and helpful when I visit Dakota Coffee. Lots of great choices for coffee, smoothies, and other specialty drinks and snacks. I frequent the Flowers hospital location often and always have a great experience every time I go.

I love this place. Period. They are always so nice when I walk in. I always always stand for a second, pretending to look at the menu even though I always get the same thing. 😆 they remember me and know my order, but they don't pressure me to hurry up and order.

Thank you for shipping! I fell in love with your coffee when I would visit my sister-in-law in Dothan. She would actually ship me your coffee on my birthday. She has since moved, so I was delighted when I was googled "decaf bourbon pecan coffee" and Dakota Coffee came up and it said you now ship!!! I felt like it was God smiling on me! Thank you!!!

Obviously, Dakota Coffee Works has not heard of its competitors who advertise Low-Acid coffee for pleasure (low acid keeps stomach tissue healthy), and pain ( low caffeine (painkiller)), 🤢 only sip 1 🍵 cup). No, a recommendation is not in order for Dakota Coffee Works, even if Dakota offers low acid coffee. Not that I visit Dakota's frequently, but after only 1 visit my mind is made up because of Dakota's lack of interest for us coffee drinkers who don't need Irish Cream added. Dakota's is just another corresponding "cafe" that could have a franchise owned by any football player that uses young people for profit, if not, then I stand corrected honestly with all critically acclaimed feedback. Trying to keep high acid content coffee from exiting up and down when working (farming), especially when it's high in acid like Starbucks, usually causes embarrassing accidents. I have never heard of an owner criticizing feedback from an honest customer. Well, Google approved the feedback as decent material.

If you like a sweet coffee the frozen caramel mocha is a must try! Great coffee, fast service. I’ve tried a few spots in the area now and this is going to be the go to for sure.

Pulled up to the drive through, heard a very loud groan from the girl inside. She obviously didn’t want to have customers.
Ordered 3 drinks, 3 toasted bagels, two with cream cheese, one with butter. She immediately said the bagels are going to take a while. Totally fine we said, we can wait! When we got the boba tea it didn’t have any milk in it, even though it’s advertised as such. Took it back in and she said she couldn’t put milk in it. Weird, but whatever. Got the bagels, two had a cream cheese packet, one had nothing. One Only one was toasted. Took the other two back inside because they were hardly even warm and not toasted at all. She looked at me and said they would burn if she toasted them again. I explained to her if she just toasted them, they wouldn’t burn, because they weren’t toasted to begin with. I watched her turn her toaster up TWICE, seemingly to burn them on purpose. Jokes on her, well they were over done, but not burnt even though she was aiming to burn them. She also said all the butter they had was expired, but she could give it to me if I wanted. Ummmm you sell bagels and you don’t have butter? And why tell me you keep expired things in your restaurant? I was as polite and pleasant as can be, but that girl was rude and not good at her job. We will not be coming back.

When I lived in Dothan I knew Dakota Coffee Works as the best coffee in the wiregrass. Since then I have moved to Ohio and between here and there it is still the BEST coffee. Glad to be able to buy online! Miss you guys!

Used drive through. I was a visitor to Dothan, knew the place from years past. The menu of coffee was easy to read - no "fancy" words.... small, medium, large were a welcomed change.
I visited three days in a row. Staff was always delightful, coffee/cappuccino flavorful in sturdy attractive cups - no logo - simple. Overall a pleasant experience.

I pretty much always get a caramel macchiato. It has been pretty good 90% of the time. I have gotten my caramel macchiato made so sweet a couple of times that I couldn’t even drink it, lol. Other than that it’s a great place to usually get good coffee.

It was me and my daughter's first time trying the Boba tea and we found this place. The staff was super helpful and even recommended what my 9 year old would probably enjoy better, and she absolutely did. Highly recommend this place!

Staff here are wonderful! Excellent alternative to the mainstream Dunkin and Starbucks coffee shops that goudge your pocket for mediocre their products at best. Ordered a cold and hot coffee with a cinnamon roll. Coffee was a perfect blend with smooth rich flavor! The Cinnamon roll exceeded expectations perfect texture and just the right amount of icing! Drop in, you WON'T be disappointed!

I always enjoy coming here. It's a very calm, inviting environment that I can sit in, enjoy my latte, and get some nice reading time in. I also buy Torino syrups from here, because (while they're more expensive this way) I can get exactly what I want and nothing more.

This was MY PLACE in high school. I loved Dakotas, but not having a menu for the drive thru is a no-no, especially if the employees aren’t good salespeople. Having very unenthusiastic customer service and having to verbally tell the menu to my friend who’s never been there just ruined me going back there. Sucks after 18 years of loyalty going there.

Greatly enjoyed my visit. Madison picked out my first coffee. Totally loved the coffee. She was extremely nice and helpful. The only issues I have is my wife kept Dakota Coffee a secret and there's not one close to home.

LOVE LOVE LOVE DAKOTA COFFEE i went to starbucks for a whole year ordering everything off the menu and racked up to $480 in one year for the smaller sizes trying to find a good coffee, because i absolutely love coffee. the first one i had at Dakota was some PB frappe and it was not to great, but everything else here is absolutely amazing!

I ordered a black iced hammer head which is black iced coffee with two shots of espresso. Why the heck this look like I got some iced tea. I love Dakota in the morning but that afternoon Dakota is a little questionable.

I got 3 drinks and they were all GROSS! The large chocolate shake literally was like Hershey syrup with a splash of milk. The large mocha Carmel frozen drink was had no Carmel and you could taste the instant coffee. The large frozen cappuccino was even worse! Instant coffee and no flavor! You could taste the grit! The drinks were the absolute worst and a complete waste of money.

Owner made our morning he and the regulars were the nicest people. I got a dirty Chai and my sister got a smoothie both were fantastic as were our muffin and apple fritter 10/10 would return just for the owner he was delightful 😊

10 out of 10 definitely recommend! I have never been let down by Dakota. Their frozen mocha caramel cappuccinos are to die for! Every time I stop in for one it is just as good as the first time which is important for me because so often I go back for seconds on something I loved the first time I went and the next time I go it is trash. Dakota is not like this though! If you loved it the first time you will forever love it! I'm fat I love food and food loves meyayyyy

I moved here form Birmingham recently and love coffee. My goal is to try all the local coffee shops. I really like this one. The atmosphere is nice when your walk in and the staff is friendly even very early in the morning. Most importantly my cappachino was delicious. I also got a scone and it was good. I will be returning.

Best coffee in town great environment and employees. I drive 4 miles a day just to get the coffee fix for my new addiction. Beth Anne was wonderful employee. She helped me make a great everyday choice of coffee . Now they have me on a yearly spending limit. Coffee and Jesus is the best .

Coffee is good, prices average... Everytime I've been, there is no music for background noise-makes for a really awkward dine in experience when you feel uncomfortable to hold a normal conversation. Looks like the place could use a good deep cleaning. Restroom was gross, ceiling fan, booths, window sills-doesnt set a good impression of how the coffee equipment may be cleaned.

The drink was fine, it was even good. But I went in during the height of the COVID pandemic (while Alabama was under a mask mandate), and not one employee was wearing a mask or taking any precautions. This gave me a really negative impression of this coffee shop, and I hate to say that I will not be back.

The wait time is more than acceptable, I would say. Around 5 min. Or less. If I could live in a coffee shop like persona 5. I'd like the cafe to be a Dakotas. Competitive prices to boot.

I just moved to the area and I’ve been here a few times already! Seems like nice staff and great atmosphere. I will say, I wish they used the pumps for the flavoring. Sometimes I don’t get enough flavoring, sometimes it’s wayyy too much. I’ve noticed the staff just pours in syrup flavoring to the cup. So depending on who makes my coffee, it’s always different! So hit or miss sometimes. Aside from that, I’ve had zero problems, and will be back!

The staff was extremely helpful and had such a great personality. The wait wasn't long and the coffee was pretty impressive. We hit the drive thru and didn't go in to order but if I lived in Dothan I would be here daily. The prices were amazing and the quality was in my opinion better than the corporate chains. I highly recommend getting coffee here.

Very unique inside and great coffee even a good selection. Staff is mostly nice sometime you get those ones who look like they would rather be home than see your mug lol. A great place to relax and get some work done or hang out with friends.
