Lowe's Home Improvement

In my opinion this is the best hardware store in Dothan. They always have great customer service, great lumber, and great displays to help come up with project ideas for inside your home or around the house.

The staff is always knowledgeable on their areas and very helpful when it comes time to do a project. It's one of the reasons that I prefer shopping at the Lowe's over going to Amazon. Sometimes good advice and recommendations are worth their weight in gold.

I especially like the garden department and how many different plants are available for purchase.

I had to do multiple things and no idea how to go about them. I did a return, which was quick and painless. Customer service was excellent. I needed paint and primer, etc. I had no idea where to begin... but everyone was helpful and understanding. I got everything I needed today reasonably fast. Overall, it was a great experience.

Not much to say. It’s a typical Lowe’s, but the customer service folks are much nicer than what I’ve experienced in bigger locales. Very helpful, willing to take extra time with you.

Edit: Very disappointed, I haven’t been able to update my Lowe’s account and lost over 20 in rewards. The manager Amelia was no help and Xyanna in customer service. I recommend trying other locations or Home Depot maybe there is better customer service support.

We like this Lowes location. The service is nice, they normally have what we need compared to others.

Third visit in the last year where I promised myself I wouldn’t return. This time I mean it. Two trips were to pick up online orders. First time the order was late but they did call me to tell me what I needed to do to correct their problem. I couldn’t so they proceeded to scold me for being unpleasant. When I did get order home I learned that if you place a large lumber order you get everyone else’s culls. Last trip they just got a special order wrong. Cost me time and money and reputation.

NEW ISSUE 01/11/2025. Purchased a tool bundle online that shows a 5AH batteries in the bundle. When I receive it there are 2 1.7AH batteries. I get on chat on the app, spend 53 min with them. Once they figure out I was correct they stopped all interactions with me. So they can false advertise and just sell you whatever. Time to go shop at HOMEDEPOT. This lowes is nothing but crooks stealing from the company and there suppliers. LOWES FOR PROS CARD HOLDERS BEWARE
I opened a Lowes for pros account up to save some money on delivery. I purchased 3000.00 of a lumber and it was delivered i purchased a tool box and it was delivered. all with in two weeks. So I go to the store and pay the balance off. the cashier did something wrong and said it would take 24 hrs. for it to post... And to come back tomorrow and see him and his manager who was helping him. Well i came back the next day to find they are both off that day I would have to call customer service. During the call to customer service they noticed 2 charges to my card in Atlanta Ga. I DIDNT EVEN HAVE A HARD CARD YET AND IT HAD BEEN HACKED. YOU HAVE BETTER BE CHECKING YOUR BILLS. 3 MONTHS AND STILL NO RESOLVE TO THE ISSUES EVERYTIME I CALL CUSTOMER SUPPORT THEY OPEN A DISPUTE. OR SO THEY SAY. AND EVERYTIME NOTHING GETS DONE. FOR A LARGE CORP THEY SURE ARE TERRIBLE WITH SUPPORT. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE THESE Two PEOPLE AT THE PRO DESK WILL ROB YOU BLIND IF YOUR NOT WATCHING YOUR ACCOUNT.

Lowe's saved me gas in the future by changing their policy to not price match Amazon. It was for the exact sku number in case you care, but we didn't get that far. They told me up front they would not price match Amazon. This is the Northside Dothan store!

Tristen at Lowes store on Montgomery Hwy Dothan AL, was a wonderful designer to work with! She was so patient and helpful with my design! I wasnt able to purchase due to price but she did all she could to help lower for me! I truly appreciate her time and its so refreshing to work with such a helpful and knowledgeable associate! There was only one register open. When I complained about it, saying the place was getting as bad as Wal-Mart, I was told I could have also checked out at customer service (which was at one end of the store and had a line) or at the contractor's checkout (which was at the other end of the store.) If you're going to make us check ourselves out, we should get an employee discount.

DO NOT USE THE DELEVRY!!! Bought a washer and dryer. Only the dryer showed up and it was hours late. No call on the washer and had to call corporate to track it down. Then had to talk to several managers before they finally figured out what had happened and they refused to refund the money. Never again lowes never again.

Bought a garage door opener paid for them to deliver and install it. Delivery was fine. Angi through Lowe's was the installer. They text an hour before installation and cancelled. Set up the next appointment 3 days out, they text and cancelled. Set up appointment again 2 days later, they text, day of, and cancelled. This time they didn't offer another appointment. They did offer a refund on installation since they already charged me the day of the first appointment. Last time using Angi!!

When you need a nut or a bolt and all you do is open. Empty drawers, and then you try to get someone to help you, no one is available.. They send someone from garden center that don't even know what a bolt is..

Something is wrong with their return system. They constantly tell me they can't find my purchase on their computer. I spend $50-100k in this store the last 2 years on different building projects and I have returns after each project and now they hassle me. It just depends on who's running the register because some are clueless.

My wife and I stopped in on 7-8-24 around 7:30pm to look at the zero turn mowers at the store on Montgomery Highway. I went to customer service to ask for assistance with the mowers. A gentleman came out, which I think his name is JB, assistant, store manager, he was extremely rude. I think we woke him up from a nap, but he was very short and blunt. We live near this store, but most of time we go to the Ross Clark Store the service there is a lot better.

Lowes makes you go thru self checkout if you want to purchase anything from their dothan locations except for the one on Ross Clark circle you can be checked out by an actual human. But I'm not nor have I ever been trained to operate anything with their system so like my visit today I ring up a sales item but only receipt I wad charged twice so i had to go back to that store to get refunded what I wad over charged but yet they would not reimburse me anything g for my fuel or myto drive

Michael Chambers was extremely helpful. I am a pro and my order was changed last minute to be delivered by another store creating conflict with the scheduled work order. Michael Chamber went out of his way to contact the delivery to calm my anxiety of my order being delivered late. He communicated and promised to resolve my issues late. As a business owner I would like to first hand Thank him for his efforts. I am a few weeks late with my review but great job. Owner of DuPont Roofing Systems.

I usually always go to Lowes because it seems to be easier to find what I need , they usually have a good selection of items and they stock some appliances if you need one in a hurry .

They usually have the products I need. The downside is they are becoming like Walmart. There's no Cashiers and are pretty much forced to use self checkout. I'm about ready to boycott these self checkout stores. If the self checkouts would work without giving me an error or barcode problem, maybe it would be different. Go back to using Cashiers, which leave you with more employees, and gives customers a chance to talk to someone if they need help.

Kerry assisted me in the lighting department, which is where I believe he was assigned, I asked him about carriage bolts, he walked over there with me, helped me find the correct bolts, asked me if there was anything else he could assist me with.. I get my tools from here. The store is spacious and wide. It is somewhat hard to get employees to help women in the store. Some are a little biased when we shop for tools. I just love their gift card center because they have so many. The checkout employees are always nice and welcoming though. Will shop here again.

Ordered 60 pavers online so I didn’t have to triple work picking paying loading unloading and placing.

Went to the store 1 hour later and it hadn’t been serviced yet.

Aways courteous . The refund desk employees work hard to make customers happy. Overall in a store this size it's difficult to find help. I'd like to see availability of deep discounts for plants being thrown out. A lot of folks enjoy bringing back to life a threatened plant. Thanks for watering more than once a week.

I visited the store on Friday. I was so surprised as I walked from one side of the store to another. Four different times I was asked if I needed help. Each time was with a smile and a pleasant spirit. It was so nice to be treated like my business mattered.

We wanted a post hole digger and only one on the shelf left. There were no stickers of any kind on this pole digger, some one had returned it and a worker had put it back on the shelf. You can only guess how hard it was to check out with this item. Very frustrating!

Never liked Lowe’s. I remember why now after going to this location a few times I prefer Menards but there is none here. Most of the employees here are so rude and lazy. Not all, but most. Southern hospitality is definitely missing. Moved from Indiana and shopped the Lowe’s there once but this location by far sucks. Asked for help and when no one showed, I went to Home Depot. At least was able to get help there. First time we shopped here, the old lady at the check out huffed and puffed when we came to her register. She was reading something. After standing there waiting a few she finally started checking us out. No thanks kiss my butt, nothing. So my go to from now on is Home Depot. Learn some good customer service people, it does make a difference!

I was shocked by one of the assistant managers and his lack of customer service.
The lack of cashier's at the registers both in garden center and inside the store is uncalled for.
This store has the customers, sales, volume. Why are you willing to risk losing it.?

My husband and I both love this Lowe’s. They always have what we need, and their plant selection is superior to some of the nurseries in this area. Early this year they had a variety of large fruit trees on sale for $15-$30, and with their one year warranty, it was an offer we couldn’t pass up!

I wish I could give zero stars. We picked up mixed paint during our home renovation. The paint lid was not put back on correctly and ruined my Lincoln Navigator. They said they would pay to have it repaired and 6 months later they will not even respond. The next step is a lawsuit. I will never purchase from Lowes ever again!!!
