Shoe Station

I walked in and was immediately greeted. Friendly people up front. The shoes I wanted were surprisingly on sale that day, and with a coupon I got in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised with the price. The gentleman stocking the shoes on the aisle I was on was a little abrasive, but did come over and ask if I needed help a few times while I was there. It was an overall good shoe shopping experience at Shoe Station.

There was a price sign discrepancy, but management gave the shoes at the sale price anyway. Excellent customer service! Don't forget to sign up for the e-mail so you can regularly save 10$ right from your phone!

As usual, awesome! We have new store in Fairhope, had to have new, white Burkies! Puppy tore 25+ year old perfect pair up!!! They were in good shape too!

Fairhope location did not have the size I needed in a specific shoe, so they told me they could call the Spanish Fort store and ask if they had it. Spanish Fort said they did have it and they would pull and hold it for me. Drove to Spanish Fort, they did not have it. Called the Fairhope location to figure out the miscommunication and was told "I'm not sure why they told you that, the 6.5 you need is sitting right here on our counter." Called Spanish Fort back to make sure they 100% did not have them, they did not. Called Fairhope back to ask them to hold the shoes for me so I could pick them up tomorrow and was told "These are 7s, not 6.5s." She was on speaker both times I called and my passenger clearly heard her state the shoes on the counter were 6.5s the first call, then the employee argued with me about what size she had told me they had pulled and left on the counter. Communication is clearly a problem with both of these locations.

I believe that they are having the same problem as most businesses and need employees. That being said... The store is a wreck. The few employees would rather play on their phones and "hang out" than work. Good luck if you need help. I walked out and drove 45 min to get shoes.

They have simply gone downhill since new owners. Too bad. It was not the same selection or service I was used to.

We love the Fairhope, AL store. It’s always clean. They are so friendly there! Especially Melissa (one of the managers. I hope I remembered her name) as well as Isabelle who checked us out. VERY NICE!!! VERY HELPFUL!

The store is very nice with a great selection. So glad to have this store in Fairhope! Based on the selection, I would give it 5 stars. However the staff is "checked out". After I paid I noticed the sign near the register that you can register for their loyalty program. I asked if I could sign up and now that I paid, could I add this purchase to my account. The employee said "oh sure". And I had a feeling that he either didn't know or didn't care. So I tried to add the purchase to my account when I got home and of course you can't do that. Not sure the loyalty program is that valuable in any case, so not a big deal. I would shop here again, due to the great selection, but if you need help from the staff, you may be disappointed. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, it is not easy to find great employees.

Most stuff is very expensive. Even the clearance rack doesn't go below 16 for the really cheap shoes. They have a lot more than shoes, but even that's expensive.
