Fairhope Golf Works

Highly recommend Avery for a club fitting. Super knowledgeable, makes it easy to understand your numbers and swing tendencies. Clubs came super fast and Avery double checks everything to be sure they’re correct. He’s patient too! Got the yips half way through my fitting and let me come back to reevaluate. Love the irons he put me on and can’t recommend these guys enough.

Golf Works is a game changer. I ve seen JT for lessons for the past two months and my iron play has improved significantly. Having the visuals (Trackman) really made a difference for me with the lessons. JT had several different tactics to give me the feel that made a huge improvement in my swing. We are about to start working on my driver and woods. Prior to doing work I signed up for a wood fitting with Avery. The only fitting I have ever done was at a big box store swinging different clubs in their bay. The experience with Avery was truly eye opening. It is amazing to see the change in flight, spin and feel as he changed/adjusted heads and shafts. We landed on a shorter and stiffer shaft, different loft, and other tweaks that straightened out my drives and added 30 yards. What shocked me thr most is the custom clubs ( driver and 3 wood) I ordered were no more expensive than the off the shelf clubs I ve been buying. I ll end with where I began, Golf Works is a game changer.

Avery (fitting specialist) and JT (instructor) are sharp. They use the latest technology to analyze and improve your golf game. Its not always pretty, but youre able to see your patterns, faults, strengths, and where best to focus for improvement. I wasnt sure which to do first, get fitted for clubs or get instruction. Avery says get a few lessons first, then get fitted for new clubs, then get back to the lessons. I decided to get fitted for a putter first since most strokes in a round are with a putter. I would have never known what putter is best for me without Averys computer analytics. The guys in my golf group that I bet against hate the new putter. I went back this week and got fitted for new irons. Next comes more lessons with JT and getting fitted for new woods with Avery.

Averys knowledge and expertise is unmatched in this area, as he is able to quickly analyze and determine equipment and adjustments to improve all facets of your game. Both Avery and JT provide professional and expert guidance on how best to improve your golf game.

Published 3 years ago

Great guys to work with. JT does a great job simplifying the golf swing. Rather than overload you with information and focusing on getting into proper positions, he focuses on building the swing through movement from the ground up. The focus on one movement to two movements per lesson helps solidify permanent change. As you progress he begins to refine the swing. The fact that you get the TrackMan data to back it up is a bonus. All of it makes for a great experience. Working with Avery for club fittings is awesome as well. Who would have thought Fairhope Alabama would have a club fitter with experience fitting clubs and shafts for multiple major champions. Avery does a great job creating a club that works for your swing. Driver literally added 40 yards carry (by stiffening shaft and reducing loft). Also, stays in play. I m much more confident across my clubs knowing they fit my swing speed and tendencies. My scores show the difference. We are blessed to have them local. Check them out.
