Running Wild

My experience at running wild was second to none. Megan, was the one to help me out and she was amazing in every possible way. She brought out a multitude of shoes that would be a possible fit for me. She was relentless in finding the perfect shoe to make my daily runs not only fast, but comfortable. It is because of her I have learned to love running and am excited every day to go on a run. With her help I have become a faster, more fluid runner. I surely hope that next time I am due for a new pair of shoes, she is the one to fine again.

Highly recommend this store. Fantastic first experience at this store. I had been looking for a reseller of On-Cloud shoes. Having never tried them I needed to locate a store with a good selection.

This store has a fantastic selection and very helpful staff.

Upon walking in the door Ann greeted me with a smile and eager attitude to make sure I found what I wanted.

Ann Rush was super helpful through my entire process. I never felt rushed by her or that she was pushing me in a general direction.

She measured my feet and helped my find the right insoles to support my arch type and foot shape then we talked about what shoes that ON made for my foot type of 2E.

She pulled several pairs for me to try and with and without the additional insoles. Very satisfied. I left with 2 pairs of insoles some new socks and my first pair of On Cloud Cloudrunners.

I have never been in a shoe store that provided this level of customer attention. I will definitely be back for another pair soon. This first pair is getting road tested on my next work trip.

Cant say enough about the customer focused staff in the store and the level of knowledge Ann displayed about the products she was selling.

I was wanting to try some brands of shoes that big stores don't carry - like ON Clouds and HOKA. This store had outstanding service and customer attention. It was a good experience and after trying on 5-6 different models I found the pair I wanted. I will return for a second pair of running shoes there at some point for sure.

My husband and I came in just to try some OnClouds and walked out with the most comfy ToPo sneakers. We worked with Sarah who was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience of trying to find comfy shoes the best we’ve experienced. Work with Sarah! But also buy ToPo sneakers! My husband wears a size 13 and they had plenty in stock to try.

The individual service and knowledgeable staff make this place unbeatable! Coleman helped me find the right shoe for me. He took a lot of time to help me. I wore my new Altras for two days now and my terrible foot pain is gone! I highly recommend this shoe store!

I was recently in the market for some new running shirts. As a bigger guy I wanted something that was technical but not designed only for the smaller runner. Anne suggested the performance short sleeve and it is a winner. Loved it so much I had to order a few more. Anne made my purchase seamless from start to finish. And my items were shipped to me so fast. Not to mention how soft and comfortable to run in these shirts are. Now I have 5 and four different colors.

Best experience in a running store in a long time.

Haley was absolutely amazing!!!! I'm so glad I chose to go here instead of where I was going to go. She scanned my feet and gave me several options that would fit my feet correctly. This is the first time in my life that I've had shoes that actually fit my feet and don't hurt my feet. I will never buy running shoes anywhere else. I highly recommend this store and can't thank Haley enough. Can't wait to go back.

Good service Good selection very helpful stuff especially given it's only two days before Christmas! Prices are premium but they offer very high quality product for people interested in more than just aesthetics when it comes to their exercise and training equipment.

Recently visited this location as I do when in town visiting my daughter. I normally purchase shoes and other items here. I found a pair of tights on the sale rack and when I went to check out, she advised me that “they” had made an error. I asked her will they honor that price? The error was on them. She didn’t and didn’t even ask the manager, so I will no longer be spending my money at this store. I have never ran across a store that did not honor a mark down. SMH

I had originally wrote a negative review that I decided was distasteful and I deleted it. The problem that I had was honestly something out of the stores control but I wrote it in the heat of the moment when I thought my problem couldn’t be resolved. Then not even an hour later this store called me back and completely fixed the problem and went above and beyond what they had to do. I will definitely try them out again if we’re ever in fairhope. My husband loves running and loves stores that cater to runners like this one! Excellent management!

This place really helped my mother in law get the correct shoes . She had been buying sizes too big for years, causing her to trip on numerous things. The staff here was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, she absolutely loves her new shoes .

Went in hopes to find a New Pair of shoes, got there at 5:45 and the door was locked. If you close early then update your hours, wasted my time coming over here.

I always try to support local and the sales people are friendly and knowledgeable. A week ago, I went into the store looking for some inserts for my hiking boots. While a bit hesitant I bought some RunPro inserts for my boots given the sales person indicated he thought they were just fine for boots and besides he added you have 30 days to try them and if you don’t like them just bring them back. Easy enough went home and found HikePro inserts on-line so I returned the “still in the box” Run Pros looking to have them credit my MasterCard. The store clerk informed me they only provide store credit or exchanges on returns. I told her I was not made aware of this policy at the time of purchase to which she replied “sorry”. I decided not to push the matter but really let people know or better yet post a sign at the register letting people know that there are NO REFUNDS on purchased merchandise only store credit or exchanges. Disappointed.

Went in for a new pair of running shoes & wasn't set on a specific brand. Abigail was my sales associate & did an outstanding job... i tried on at least 5 different pairs & she was very helpful & patient. I ended up getting the Brooks Glycerin very cushiony with a full toe box. Also stocked up on some nuun hydration tablets & a groovy pair of sunglasses. Running Wild is a great store & i like supporting local small businesses.

I’ve recently retired to Orange Beach after a career in law-enforcement in Birmingham. During my last few years on the job I sadly let my physical fitness go. So I decided with my new life on the coast, I really needed to get back into shape. So I came to Running Wild to get some quality running shoes.

I was greeted by Jeannie when I walked in the door. She asked if she could help me and I asked her if she felt up to the challenge, she said “Sure.” I explained my situation and goals, and she had me sit down and take off my shoes and socks so she could get my true size and evaluate my feet (for over/under pronation, etc).

She brought me 3 different pairs to try on, and I decided on the New Balance 860v11 which felt fantastic! She also recommended a pair of socks which would suite me better than ordinary cotton socks which I also bought.

This was a much better experience than I’d ever had in any of the running shoe stores in Birmingham. I can’t wait to get started training in these shoes. And when I wear these out, I’ll definitely be coming back to see Jeannie at Running Wild!

Justin was so patient with me and very knowledgeable about what I needed for my feet to feel true comfort. I later told him I had to go home and see if work would allow me to wear color shoes and he said no problem, no pressure. Well I did go back and I was happy that he was there to complete my sale. I would definitely go back, great customer service!!!

Be very careful when you buy from this store. My husband bought a pair of shoes that were a bit too small for me. We let them know and they placed the order for the correct size and told us it would be the 27th of December. It is now January 6th and still no shoes. Amazon has them available for next day shipping but they won't let us return them for anything but store credit. Not too satisfied with how my first experience with this store went. I felt they should have made an exception since they were off by two weeks (and counting) on the new pair.

Prices are high, but it is a boutique for runners. The staff were so helpful getting me fitted in the correct shoe and sock for a new runner.

I have never stepped foot into running wild, but I did call to get information on a pair of shoes. I have two different sized feet, I was born this way. So I simply called to ask if they had Brooks in two different sizes because the company offers this service for people like me. I told the man what I needed, a 6.5 for my right foot and a 7.5 or an 8 for the left if he didn’t mind checking for me. He asked if these were all for the same person, I responded yes, he sort of snickered when asking this, he then put me on what I guess he thought was hold but I could hear another female worker in the back say “you are so funny.” He proceeds to respond with an amused tone as to me having this difference. He picked up the phone and told me what he had, and asked a sort of belittling question... have you always had two different sized feet? “No, one shrunk over night,” is what I was thinking. I told him yes, I was born with a disability, called club foot, I didn’t try to explain I was embarrassed enough as it was and let him go. The insensitivity of these people was extremely hurtful, I didn’t ask for this but I am coping with this from birth. I have never been into running wild but I can tell you that I never will bring my business to people like this.

My wife and I have bought several shoes from Running Wild. I haven't been dissatisfied. The shoes they carry are better quality than the ones sold to box stores (Academy, Dicks, etc.). If you're going to buy good running shoes, you need to go here and talk to them. they will help you get the right fit. they can also watch the way you run/walk and help make sure that you get the right shoe for your stride. They have a very knowledgeable staff. They also have a pretty great rewards program when you spend money there. They usually have a pretty good selection of clearance shoes and clothing if you're looking for something a little cheaper. They carry some great brands. All-in-all, we have been very satisfied.

Skip the big box stores, and come straight to this place if you need new athletic shoes! We had a wonderfully tailored experience, and it was nice to have someone narrow down options for your own feet without trying on every shoe in the store.

As a brand new runner I was told I needed a new pair of "good" shoes by experienced friends. I came across this store while doing some research, and was immediately intimidated considering it's location in downtown Fairhope. I was afraid I would not be taken seriously as a brand new over weight runner.

I was completely wrong. Ann was absolutely INCREDIBLE! She was professional, knowledgable, and very encouraging! She was willing to show me things and provide information without be pushy at all.

She also fitted my husband with a new pair of everyday walking shoes, and we will certainly return to this location for any future athletic needs!

My podiatrist recommended this store since I needed assistance finding suitable walking shoes. The sales person ( Owner?) at Running Wild measured my feet, observed my gait, and found the right shoes within a few minutes. And the price was in line with the stores that offer no assistance, nor the knowledge to help.
We will buy our walking shoes at Running Wild from now on. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

Customer service was great! The employees at Running Wild in Fairhope, AL went above and beyond the call of duty to fit me in the best running shoe possible. Thank you so much for the individual attention and helping me get fitted into a great new running shoe! Highly recommend, and I'll have to check out their store in Pensacola, FL the next time I'm that way.

If you are having anytype of foot issues this is the place to go. Missy was very knowledgeable about my condition and what shoes and inserts to purchase. The oofos recovery sandals are a must buy no matter what. Glad my co worker referred me to Running Wild.
