I use to love buddy's but since these new people have taken over the Alabama city store it seems no one knows anything. I have been waiting on a rocker bunk bed for my son for two months now. Buddy's in Gadsden is a very bad place to do business the furniture is always broke the manager of the store I think her name is Liz will treat you very bad she will curse you and call you names they sold me a broke chair and when I made them come and get it she told me that I weighed over 500 lb and I broke their chair what kind of manager treats the public like this she is a very vindictive spiteful person and their furniture is no good at all

I have had the greatest experience with Buddy’s Rents. Ms. Tabby and Ms. Kimberly are the sweetest sales women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They did my application by phone and got my desk and chair sent out to me the VERY NEXT DAY. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from them both and even the delivery man. If you are need of some furniture or etc, make sure you contact them. Great service and fast delivery options.

We called them to request pick up for some items we’d been paying on because we no longer needed them. They kept making up excuses as to why they couldn’t come pick up for days at a time but kept calling us harassing us for a payment. Ok so just to let everyone know that there policy on paying for something and paying the insurance fee also that when you have a problem and they have to replace something well its of lesser value and they rip you off do not buy anything from them, they are a total scam and they apparently do not replace your merchandise for the same thing instead they pic what they have and your insurance doesn't matter you just gotta take what they give you for replacement even though you have paid thousands for what you wanted and plus the insurance, it doesn't matter to them, there a joke and definitely not getting any more money from us,

My family and I was looking for a washer and dryer set and as we was looking at a washer roaches started crawling out of it. The dryer still had clothes in it with a used dryer sheet. If you don’t won’t roaches I suggest you don’t rent from this place. Apparently they don’t send them off to get cleaned or checked after they have been leased out.

Tried to order a chair at Christmas, it will be after the new year before we can order. Fine I can wait. Call mid January, it will be February cause orders are behind, fine I can wait. Call Febuary and now the owner doesn't want to order any new orders because he wants to buy more stores, hello!!! How do you think you make more money, you sell more stuff. I have been with buddy’s for a while now I absolutely love them! They have always been good to me we’ve had covid a few times this year and missed work and wasn’t able to pay and they were always willing to work with us but if you just expect they are going to let you not pay because you just don’t want to pay then better find else where to go they are very cool amazing people Trent and tabby will keep you laughing and do whatever they can to make the best of your buying amazing!

Have not had their furniture for not even a year and it is messed up. They were supposed to send an insurance adjuster out but never did... Yet they never fail to take out $235 out of my account even after I told them we would pay for it in cash this month. I would not recommend buying from them.

They used to have good people there at the store. I was a little behind so I called last week and put a payment on my account and the rude lady said I'm not accepting it. So she told me she would give me to Tuesday to make other arrangements. Today Monday April 25th buddy's shows up and takes everything. The guys called her back and asked of they can come back tomorrow and she said no ill call the police if you don't get it today. I will NEVER do business with buddy's again. I'm not the only one she has done this too. She told the guys I was 6 months behind but in reality I was only 2 payments behind. She is a lair and she doesn't care about the business. She is the PROBLEM at this buddy's location. Tried togive her money on my account and she refused. That's not how you do business.

My mother and I come in to get a washer. The manager and the employees wonderful, the greeted you and they joke and laugh with you through out your time in the building. They work with you. Overall I give them 5 stars. Awesome deals!!!!! Definitely would recommend them to family and friends looking for household items. Definitely within a great price range.

I just had the worst customer service experience ever! I have had late payments with buddy’s before and have never had a problem. I’ve always spoken with someone and gotten it squared away and paid the amount owed when I could. But this time was totally different. My wife had a communication error and told them the payment would be made Friday. We had called back that Friday and explained that it was meant to be the Friday after (which we had done before a couple of times without issue) the lady was extremely rude and refused to take the payment on that date and said she would come and take the computer. I had called back to try and fix the problem and had made an arrangement to pay the computer and enroll in auto pay (even though they had already tried to charge my account without authorization anyways) but the whole time I could hear that rude woman in the background making her comments. She is a disgrace and should not be in customer service whatsoever. Terrible, unprofessional business and it’s all her fault. I can’t wait to take this computer back and never have to deal with her again. The rest of the staff is great and caused me no problems, but regardless of a late payment, it is no reason to be rude, and to try and charge my card without authorization. If there is a problem, you don’t need to be rude. You have to right to come pick up your assets and be done with it! I do not recommend getting anything from buddy’s just based on my experience with this woman.

Very unsatisfied saying I owe 4000 more than I owe refusing to accept a full payment from me because I was 4.00 short a couple weeks ago now after looking at reviews, it’s happened to other people as well. Most people who work in there are nice but Tabby ruins customer service.

I had gotten a refrigerator from the Gadsden,Al location around October 2020. I had gone in at said location in February 2021 to make the last payment and they told me that they will send me a certificate of ownership but I have yet to receive it. They keep calling me about a payment is still owed there is no payment due because I finished paying it off. The representatives have said they will talk to the manager David because they put in my last payment incorrectly. It has been well past overdue that they get this issue fixed and seems like they can’t. Now I can understand them constantly calling me about a late payment if I still owed payments but I do not. It’s gotten to the point that they have started calling my daughter as well asking about my late payment. It’s unprofessional that they haven’t fixed a mistake that they made and that Mr. David hasn’t tried fixing the issue in a timely manner.

I bought a LR set in April Was told my 1st payment would be due in June. I have been called twice and told my payment is due. Also had a torn area on one piece and when I called the lady said she would get with the manager and call me about it Said “we will make it right”. So still haven’t heard a word from anyone. I did pay my payment even though I was told it would be June but these people callin for my payment a month early. Won’t ever recommend buying here and I will never again myself

If I could give less than 1 star I would the people are very rude. We rented a chest freezer from them and had to call them to come out and get it because it is infested with roaches. All they could say was we will come get it but it's not our problem it was infested with roaches. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO RENT FROM THEM EVER

We rented a television, 2 recliners, a fridge, and washer from them. The fridge, washer, and recliners we returned because it was much more cheaper at Aarons. I then didnt need the television anymore because Im a single mom and was trying to cut corners with bills. My Mother took the tv back because I was working. They were rude to her, accused her of stealing a remote and cord. This one girl "Megan" was always calling me reminding me I had a payment as if I didnt know it. I will not be going back to them again.

I seriously DO NOT recommend this place! We were renting a mattress from them. I had to call them back and request a new box spring because the delivery guys messed it up. No big deal until the employees on the phone got really rude! They eventually brought it at 7 at night. They put it up and I am laying on it. In less than 24 hours I had welps on my arms back and other body parts. We called and had them check it out and sure enough I had to get another mattress. I had to wait two days for the new mattress. New mattress comes it is NOTHING like the one I am supposed to be paying for! They were absolutely rude. They don't clean their mattresses either. If you're thinking of using this place, DON'T. Just go to Aaron's

I'm being very kind and generous by giving buddies a 1-star. not only did they deliver a mattress that had bugs in it that bit both my kids but they came out replace the mattress with a much cheaper mattress and I was not satisfied when I'm paying for a pillow top. Now I'm having them come pick up their bug infested mattress and we have already overpaid and they refused to give us our money back so I guess they are going to pocket our money. I would NOT suggest buying anything from buddies, they are extremely crooked and they have bugs imbedded in their mattress.... THANKS KYLE FOR SCREWING OVER YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!

They drafted a payment from my bank account I did not authorized and when I called about it, they said I signed papers stating I could. I DID NOT! When I missed a payment and called them, they cussed me. Very unprofessional and rude. If I didn't need my appliance at this moment I would definitely have them come pick it up. From the very beginning Justin the "manager" has lied to me about several different things, amount of monthly payment, the actual product, and having it in stock (just off truck, still in plastic).Will be going somewhere else as soon as i find the product i originally wanted. How is it ok for the employees to give a review of this business? How is it ok for the "managet" to lie to your face multiple time, accuse you of being a bully, and call you when store isnt open? Trhey keep messing with my BANK account without me authorizing it. I even signed a piece of paper saying that they will not with draw anything from it, but literally they keep continuing doing it. Even gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought it was just with the old manager, but nope. It continues with the new manager.
I've called FIVE times to get my due date changed to Monday's and they always, "okay ma'am it's changed."
But they never change it.

I will never buy anything from them again.

Wanted twin beds did it online instead of them calling and saying why I couldn’t get them they just ignore my order she told me what I needed I call back told her I got it then she says in rude way well we don’t have twin beds and we done already shipped orders so basically u ignored my order from last week to give to some one else but can’t make another order ???

At first buddys was great. I was on auto pay so no problems. That included insurance on my couch. It got ripped so i made a claim, waited n waited, finally let management know not to debit me til my couch was fixed. Seemed not to be a problem. 2 months later the couch gets fixed, so lets pay again. ( agreement between myself & management) now comes pay off time. Call one employee my pay off is beginning price,then w another it was 800, then finally upper management says 213.00 sounds better ive AUTOMATIC paid for a year now. Go in pay off in full n 2 weeks later get a certified letter from their affiliated law firm that i have to return MY property. Needless to say i dont have to bc its paid but these last fee months n last few payments have been really difficult with them. N management has changed at least 3 times since my initial purchase to where no1 knows who's who or whats going on. I would really need something to purchase through them again ,unfortunately. Oh n while we are at it , jus another example of no1 knowing whats going on. I walk in to pay off knowing the amount, i ask the associate whats my pay off price, he comes at me with 1059.00 , where do they get these numbers for real. Not ONE employee knew my actual pay off, but i had the letter so i did. Jus another example of them jus throwing something out. If need be to deal w them id deal w n ask to speak to management ONLY. Having so many different prices thrown at me every time i asked was making me nervous on are they pocketing my money? Or trying to.

This store has became a nightmare! In the process of getting a new home, we wanted new furniture as well. Well after shopping around we decided to go eith Buddys in Gadsden. We received a sectional mattress set and tv. We loved the furniture until literally waking up realizing we have BED BUGS! Never had the issue in our life. I immediately had my house serviced to get control pf the issue and contacted the store. Only to recieve horrible customer service. The store refused to do anything about the issue, quit returning my calls, stuck me with the bill of the furniture, and the exterminator expense. Not to mention having to replace the furniture. I must say im very unhappy as a Buddys Customer!
