Hmm this place was… fine. We were hoping to get some Jeni’s but we could not find the place, might have closed recently. So we went here instead. Don’t take my 3 stars as a bad sign, I just didn’t love the place but it also wasn’t negative in any way. The staff were nice and the ice cream was fine, just not my favorite. Not the most creative flavors - I counted at least 6 different chocolate combinations (can we do something else please?) and not many exciting or unusual options. I usually prefer places where the ice cream is a bit less creamy and more flavorful instead of sweet, but I know lots of people prefer the latter. If that’s you, you’ll like them, otherwise it’ll be fine and that’s about it. I don’t feel the need to come back, but that’s just my personal preference.

Great ice cream spot! They have lots of delicious flavor options. Inside is nice with a 70’s ice cream parlor feel. Plenty of options - shakes, Sundays, cones and cakes! Highly recommended!

Very generous with the samples. Large serving sizes. Wide variety of flavors. Handicap friendly with easy access. The restrooms are clean and accessible. Cosmopolitan atmosphere, welcoming to all people. Cold ice cream in a warm atmosphere.

Pretty standard ice cream shop. Cute place with room to sit down and eat. $8.50 for a double scoop. I got praline and strawberry cheesecake. Not really outstanding, but it was good. There might be better flavors that we didn’t try. Service was speedy.

My husband and I went on 04/13 for a birthday treat and the ice cream was really good. We have had better but it was good for what it was and the pricing was great. I ordered one scoop of the Birthday Cake and my husband got one scoop of the Double Chocolate. After a few hours from eating the ice cream, we both fell very ill and we are still not feeling well. We know we got food poisoning from this ice cream as it was the only thing we ate the entire day. Not sure if the ice cream melted and they refroze it but we will not be back.

This is my favorite ice cream place in Birmingham! They have many flavors to choose from, including at least 10 chocolate variations. I absolutely love the chocolate fudge brownie one, and the peanut butter chocolate is my second favorite. My husband tries a different flavor every time, and his favorites are the coffee, the banana pudding, dreamsicle, and the apple strudel one. Their ice creams are always creamy and fresh tasting!

Came a few times to this store , I ordered two cones of ice cream and I asking the employee to give me a taste of the toppings he gave for taste my friend who came with me wanted to taste it so he instead put a little bit on the cone we thought it was for taste because it was very little he put on the cone so I assumed he wouldn t add it towards the bill but he did and when I saw the bill while eating I asked him to add actual amount of toppings because he only put some for taste and re refused to add . DISAPPOINTED!!!for the behaviour.

I can t tell you what they do to that ice cream. IDK how they make it taste that good, but I can tell you this: I ve tried all of the gourmet ice creams there are to have, and they don t hold a candle to Mountain Brook. It is the richest, creamiest, MOST FLAVORFUL ice cream I ve ever tasted. My in-law and I were dumbstruck! XD It goes without saying that we ll be back (this time, with a cooler for a few pints to take home).

1! They actually answered the phone when I called with a question and was courteous, helpful and kind. 2! Actually had the flavor I had searched all over town for. 3! Offered to pre pack a quart for me = REAL customer service. I was only going to buy a waffle cone but was excited about the offer and happy to have an upsell of my favorite 4! The ice cream itself is very good!!! And theres a solid variety of flavors and toppings, and while theyre typical ice cream flavors, theyre delicious. My personal recommendation is Special Praline. The employees are very, very nice as well. Its quite small, so theres not much seating space, unfortunately. The parking is also a nightmare, with the street being so narrow but so heavily trafficked. But overall, great place!

Ive only been here twice but both times it was delicious! The waffle cone is incredible as well! There are so many flavors to pick from too! I wish I could come more often than I do.

The ice cream here was absolutely delicious and very creamy! Im always on the hunt for the best ice cream, and this is definitely up near the top of my list. They win as far as flavor variety goes the chocolate lovers of the world will certainly be happy here. There were so many chocolate variants it was nearly impossible to choose. (There were plenty of other non-chocolatey flavors as well!) My husband got the German chocolate and the butter scotch bomb, and I went for the double chocolate chip and the midnight chocolate. We sampled a few other flavors, all were delicious. Although we each only got two scoops, the scoop sizes were very generous, so it was easily worth the price. The homemade waffle cones were fresh and tasty, one of the best weve had. They were decently thick and didnt fall apart easily, yet not so thick or too hard that they were difficult to eat; they were just right. Service was quick even when it was busy, and the employees were friendly and helpful with recommendations/samples. We are just passing through on a road trip, but if/when we visit this area again, well definitely be stopping here!

Staff take great care of their customers. On a hot spring day, customers were out the door, and the workers took time to make sure each customer got exactly what they wanted. Add the toppings to your selection, it greatly improves it. Can sodas are also available here if desired. I would highly recommend this place.

Consistently the very best ice cream in this city. And that Midnight Chocolate shake is basically medicinal-- there is no terrible shift, ex-husband flashback, or flat tire than cannot be erased by that milkshake. In addition, the staff is always sweet as possible. Highly recommend!!!

Highly recommend! We had a terrible experience with Marble Slab yesterday where they apparently didn t receive our online(paid) order, and there was no compassion or empathy for the situation. The customer service from Sherry was terrible and I would not recommend! Anywho, we went to Mountain Brook Creamery with an hour to spare until dinner for my daughters birthday in hopes of scoring the ice cream cake she wanted! The gentle that helped us was so kind and helpful, got us what we needed and had us in and out in 5 minutes. He also gave my girls 5 tokens for a free scoop of ice cream!!! Great customer service!

This may be one of the cutest shops Ive ever been to, and definitely the sweetest employees! I stumbled upon this little shop while trying to find somewhere to do a little bit of computer work while my husband and friends golfed. I was greeted immediately and offered many samples. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was fantastic! 10/10 will be stopping here every time I come through town!

Ordered a large chocolate soft serve - she gave me a large strawberry and explained after that there is no chocolate soft serve - Ok, ordered a large chocolate ice cream. Gave me a small, I gave up because she asked 10 times what we ordered. My girlfriend ordered a brownie sundae and got a 1/2 filled cup with something that was not a brownie sundae. The actual ice cream was great, but lord almighty all 3 of the workers there on 8/21 were incapable.

I only went for vegan ice cream. It wasnt that great. It tasted as though they used a sugar substitute and a thin dairy free milk like almond milk. Coconut milk makes a creamier, thicker ice cream. There was also a poor aftertaste. If you are going for regular ice cream, absolutely recommend! There are a ton of awesome sounding flavors!
