I absolutely love Hollywood Feed. They are always so helpful and have everything I need for my babies. They stayed open a couple minutes longer so that I could rush in a get some hot spot cream for my baby girl. I had never used that product before and the ladies there took the time to assure me it would work and advised me on the best way to treat my poor girls boo boo. Got my doodle boy groomed with them and he looked fantastic. They were patient with him and wonderfully priced. I simply cannot say enough good things about Hollywood Feed

They typically have a sale once a year, right before Christmas.

The manager and staff members are incredibly nice and always willing to help with anything in the store. I've needed assistance with selecting food, finding collar sizes, choosing treats, picking out dog beds, and managing seat belt security, and they've always provided support with a smile and a helpful hand. I also appreciate their healthy selection of both wet and dry dog foods. Hollywood Feed even offers same-day delivery, depending on the specified information available online. Everyone was friendly, greeted upon entrance. First time in and was able to get the buy one get one half off on the beef bully sticks. Also grabbed the 10 pig ears on sale. Benefit being a member to get the deals.

Hollywood Feed is the best brick-and-mortar pet supply store hands down.

I've visited both locations here in Birmingham and have had fantastic service. They carry some great, quality, and higher-end dog/cat food and treats, such as Orijen, Taste of the Wild, Canidae, and Fromm. The staff here at the Cahaba Village store is super friendly and knowledgeable with any questions you may have. This store also offers dog bathing stations where you're given everything you need to give your dog a quality bath - with different shampoos and conditioners for your disposal (even Zymox!), as well as a drying station. We've only used the same day delivery once, but everything went great - it's nice to save a trip if you only need to restock on some food. Our German Shepherd loves all his toys, treats, and food we've gotten from here!

Avoid their grooming services!
I made an appointment weeks ago. Showed up on time and they told me it would be 2-3 hours. Showed up 3 hours later to check on the dog and the groomer actually started yelling at me. They put walk-ins in front of my dog. When I asked where she was in the process, she said she needed 30 mins but that she had started. When I asked to see the dog, she told me I couldn’t see my dog or the progress. She was bald faced lying to me and she hadn’t even stated on the dog. Then she started yelling at me in the store in front of the other employees and said that I should just take my dog. The guys at the desk kept apologizing but she totally flipped out. And dear management, before you question my account, I encourage you to watch the video. . . unbelievable! And, I was a regular customer, we have your beds, your food, your chews, your toys
. . . well that ended today. Back to online shopping.

Their honesty and knowledge is what puts this store above going anywhere else.

I have a just now 2 month old pomeranian puppy.
I got the food, harness, leash, and treats from here.

😁 They truly know their stuff and was able to help me start puppy life sweet and easily. My main concern was food. With the Fromm brand, some pumpkin, and a hint of Fresh Pet he won't even look at Royal Canin 😅 (the breeder had him on it). We changed his food the same day with no following problems at all. They really took the time to show me all of the way around on two separate occasions and get me fully suited up.

They were able to describe everything and know the effects of everything as well.

Their prices on everything in the store is surprisingly better than going most anywhere else. Even Amazon in some cases.

1. I will go back for more products as my little guy grows. I do recommend the store even after initially going in with a "I'm not falling for your high priced tricks" mindset.

2. They do have grooming and other services.

3. I did get the playpen, diapers, male wraps, Lillian Ruff Calming Oatmeal shampoo, and some other stuff from Amazon. I already liked what I had picked out.

4. If anything, at least get some great knowledge for your furry family member from here. They have not steered me wrong at all! Specifically the worker with the sweet older black dog (Jack/Jake) that follows him around while demonstrating the goods and products for you.

I love this store and this location! The plaza has a cold stone creamery and it's super close to home.

I love coming in to this store (with or without my fur-kids). They are always so incredibly helpful and willing to help you out, even if it's carrying a crate from in the store out to your car. Not to mention, they have a great selection of treats, snacks, food, toys, and leashes, among other things!

What a great store! My first time at this location and the folks there are so helpful! This location is about twice the size of the Lee Branch location (also a lovely store with lovely, helpful people) - so you're likely to find exactly what you're looking for.

I cannot rave about Hollywood feed enough! They are the only ones who carry the wet food and litter that my cats eat. They do have some treats for cats but their gourmet treats are clearly meant for dogs. If they eventually carry more for cats that will make Hollywood feeds the most amazing place ever but for now my girls and I will continue to come to this HF as the staff is always sweet and the scent is distinctive and pleasant even to my cats on our walks.

Hollywood Feed has amazing customer service! They tracked down (my pup’s fave) sold out, discontinued toy at another location and had it shipped to their store for me free of charge and even ordered an extra for when the new one wears out. I’ll definitely go back and see Josh and his team for all my pup’s needs rather than ordering online somewhere else. Such an easy shopping experience!

This is the pet store for people who believe their dogs/cats are true family members. The store manager and associates are very knowledgeable and always willing to help (including carrying your purchase to your car, which is very helpful for me since I’m buying for 6 dogs). I love their products and if anything is out of stock, they are always willing to order for me. The same day delivery is also super helpful when I’m not able to make it into the store, even though shopping in store is my preferred experience!

I wish it were closer to Jasper, because if it were, I'd be going there quite a bit. Although my husband probably thanks the bit of distance we have from it for that reason lol they had high-end dog and cat feed of all kinds including dry, dehydrated, and raw, with food toppers and such. I would recommend it to anyone, and I'd give it five stars if they had better prices. The staff were exceptional at customer service and even helped me find my family lol Five stars are rare for me to give, as they should be.

I wish I could give them 100 stars!!! This was my first time going in. Its great to just walk around and see everything. They treat you like family and are very helpful!! I have a diabetic cat that was rescued after a hurricane. she doesnt really know what toys are. The women their helped me pick the best toys. Thank You! They are wonderful! Had the very largest crate and large bag of dog food delivered to my door at no charge. So nice to have the items delivered to my home. Saved me an hour of driving to the store and back home. Wish they had a store in the Hoover around Hwy 31 and John Hawkins Pkwy (150). Definitely the best store with top quality items for my dogs! The team is always so very helpful and knowledgeable.

i love Hollywood Feed! I’ve never been committed to a pet supply/ company. I’ve always gone to the huge Petsmart-type stores. I can tell you It’s just like the difference between going to Home Depot or Ace Hardware, It’s smaller, friendlier, the staff is more knowledgeable and it’s so much more convenient, yet it’s about the same in price! it’s so easy to get help if you need it. It’s so easy to get in and out. The same day delivery service is amazing!!! I love not having to drag huge bags of food in and out of my car! I can’t think of any other pet supply that even comes close to Hollywood Feed.

There are so many better options for pet food here! Also I love that they deliver and have treats to try for the pups when you bring them in! Also if you buy something your pet doesn’t like, they allow you to return it… which is amazing!

First time back at this store in several months. Not sure if management has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic or what. But I definitely did not receive the warm welcome and excitement that me and my dog have come to expect from HF over the last 6 years. My dog absolutely loves visiting the store and greeting the employees. But today all 4 employees acted completely disinterested in me or my dog being in the store. My dog loves to try the free treats at the counter and we were not offered any despite my dog sitting at the counter and waiting. Will find another place to do business next time.

This store!! This location!! Everything about it is a positive experience! From the greeting when you walk in the door, being asked if you need help finding anything or "let me know if you have any questions" to the kind & fun conversation at checkout(helping me at self-checkout with scanning the cookies when it was right in front of me🤦‍♀️😂), it is always a fun & productive visit. This location is always helpful, clean and stocked! The other location is closer to my home but not the same experience and I usually end up having to drive to this location anyway so now I just head to this location.

I was in Hollywood feed yesterday and as I walk through the front door there were the nicest assistance helping. Particularly, Rick. No wonder this store is the number one store in the country. With associates like Rick, you will never digress. He was the most informative and helpful person in the store. I must say however, the women at the computers were just as nice. I went to the new Mountain Brook location, as I had seen it was much larger than the older one there and had a self grooming station, I was not impressed. For starters, I was not greeted upon entering the store. Which, honestly, I don't care about. It's just common practice at the Hoover location no matter how busy they are so I'm used to it. There were also pallets of food and boxes scattered all over the back isle so it wasn't very easy for my wife and I to walk back there. The self grooming stations where no where to be found. Maybe it was behind all the pallets or maybe we couldn't find it due to the lack of help from employees. Either way, I won't be coming back to this store as it was the worst experience I've ever had at Hollywood feed.

This service is always awesome. I recently called there and the call was missed, but they called back. Places just don’t do that usually. I hope everyone in that store is able to stay healthy and safe through these times.

I did have four stars, they say they price match, but that's a huge lie! I won't shop here again. Everything is overpriced as heck!
