Nice shop for brewing equipment in downtown Opelika. They have all that you may need to brew and bottle and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a great selection of their own and local brews. You can get samples if you need help figuring out what you'd like. The atmosphere is great and the place has a cozy small town family feel. They don't serve food, but there are plenty of nearby places to get a pick up or delivery order. They show football games during the weekend and the crowd is always friendly. A perfect place for family, including pets. They also have games if you or your children don't care about the sports. Definitely a great place to visit.

We had our bridal shower at Whistle Stop and are so impressed with the kindness, service and selection of drinks. Julie was kind and helped with set up, kept our party separate and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was perfect for our needs and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend the Whistle Stop Bottle and Brew for your party venue!

Great place to socialize, sip on a yummy/unique drink, or browse equipment and ingredients to make your own beers & wines. Staff was friendly and location was great. Dog friendly too! Would recommend

Great little place to stop by and have a drink. Their selection is constantly changing.. so you can try something new pretty much every time you go in. Very cozy inside... Lots of seating spaces to hang out. We love this place

Great selection of beer on tap and in bottles/cans. Wine by the bottle or glass, hard ciders, kumbacha, and sometimes mead are available. Aside from the occasional popup, food is not served, but customers are welcome to bring in food from other places or even order delivery.

Great little shop to grab all your home brewing supplies from, and while you're shopping grab a craft draft beer to enjoy. If you prefer your beer already canned, they got you covered with that as well.

Stopped by for our first visit and was very impressed with Whistle Stop! Fantastic atmosphere, awesome beer selection, and Scott (the owner) was very knowledgeable about all the selections and was super friendly. A great place to go if you're anywhere near Opelika and enjoy great craft beers. Highly recommend.

Everything you need to brew beer or make wine. From the beginner to experienced they have what you need. Now they serve 19 craft beers on tap. There is also wine by the bottle, glass or flight. Also, mead and cider on tap. It is the Cheers of Opelika. They have great event nights as well!

Whistle Stop is a great place to go, live music, good people, and very credible Guinness! (The Guinness is reportedly only for Saint Paddys.)

Terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY PACKS OF BEER HERE. If you buy a pack - keep your receipt. Check the dates they were canned or best-by dates before you purchase. They keep bad beer on their shelves and in their cooler. They will sell it to you. They will not provide full refund or full exchange if you complain. I bought a four pack - went in for an exchange after popping two of them (both completely flat), took the remaining two in with me, and offered my credit card statement as proof of purchase date. They allowed me to walk out of the store with 2 singles as an exchange for the four pack I purchased. Two trips all the way out to Opelika later and I have 2 beers to show for it. Waste of time and money.

A really cute spot in downtown Opelika. They have a huge variety of beer collection that keeps changing often. There were some really good Belgian beer and I was excited about it. The ambience was really good plenty of place to sit.

A great spot to grab a drink or to hang with friends! Tons of options on tap, and a nice variety of packaged options too. They have live music often, board games that patrons can grab and play, plenty of seating and a wonderful variety of beer options. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommend stopping in and giving Whistle Stop a visit if youre in downtown Opelika!

This place is a local gem. We stopped in to buy some champagne yeast and wound up staying for the evening. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about brewing and they have have some delicious and really interesting beers on tap. There was also some local artisan bread for sale, yum! Its very family friendly and dog friendly. There are plenty of comfy places to sit and relax with friends or meet new ones. We thought it was so cool that the couple that ownes this place was hanging out there chatting with everyone. If you like local business and brewing ...or just drinking beer (or other fermented delights) youve got to check this place out!

Great place to hangout and grab drinks. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy the atmosphere and have been to this location multiple times. I like the variety of tap, outdoor games and outdoor seating! This place is a golden token if you come on a night where local food trucks are available.

Taproom has the most interesting draft selection in Opelika-Auburn. Had Bells Hopslam last weekend. A delectable limited release. 5/10/22 Now serving half pints. A very nice upgrade for those that want to keep testing the wide variation of supply.

It was my first time going during food truck Friday because we were waiting in line for a food truck. I love beer so I always try something new when I go there. They allowed me and my friends to sample the options so that was helpful when trying to make a decision. I ll definitely be back whenever I m downtown off the clock.

Great beer variety on tap and in cans, and the people who work here are both friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere-wise, the train theme is really neat and the background music is always good. Employees are hysterical. See photo.

What a pleasant surprise! I had no clue what to expect other than, beer. I was treated to a wall full of local-ish draft, craft beers, plenty of seating, a nice selection of brewing equipment and some incredible wines by the bottle from across the US and Europe. We will be back!

This is such a cool shop with a wonderful, helpful staff that clearly cares about their customers! I had the pleasure of stopping by, trying to find some darker beers and Katie helped answer all of my questions, let me sample a couple before deciding and was clearly very knowledgeable! The owner was in as well and it is evident that this is a really down-to-earth, well loved and thoughtfully operated store. What a gem in Opelika! Looking forward to being back with an empty growler (or two!) and continuing to try the local and unique offerings here!

Whistle Stop is a fantastic addition to downtown Opelika. Its got a great selection of regional beers on tap as well as a full retail selection of home-brew equipment and supplies. If you are looking for a casual spot to watch a game or visit with friends, this is it.

Whistlestop has a rotating selection of beer. They always have something of each style on tap from a number of microbrews local to the state and those nationally that are well known in the craft community. They also have home brewing equipment, beer to go, and pick sixes. It has a bit of a coffee shop vibe to it, that I love. Tend to have live music on a weekend night, a sort of biweekly bingo night, and a thirsty thursday. They have a very active Instagram for those sort of updates.

Its a cool little place in the older part of town. The people were nice they have good options for different types of grains. The prices arent bad either. I was hoping theyd have some distilling stuff but they dont. If youre a home brewer or winemaker its right where you need to go
