Encore Home

Encore is my favorite furniture store in Birmingham, and just one of my favorite stores in general. I’ve purchased several pieces of furniture from them over the last couple of years, and all have been great quality. The staff is so friendly and helpful the minute you enter the store, I always leave with complete confidence in my purchases. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase new furniture or home decor!

I experienced the best customer service I've seen in years at this location. Upon entering the store my husband and I were greeted by all staff members. We were made to feel at home from the onset. As we walked around the store, the sales representatives inquired if we where finding everything we needed. Although the sales representative may have been working with other customers they also checked in on us from time to time. This experience warmed my heart. This store is one of my favorite places to shop. Awesome services ladies.

I purchased 2 fern pictures and the 3rd picture from this group was out of stock. I was fine with only purchasing the 2 they had in stock but the sales person rang up 3 pictures. No problem, but at the time I didn’t understand they wouldn’t ship, which is ridiculous when I’m willing to pay shipping. I live way too far to come back to pick up. I did actually make a trip back to the store over a year later to pick up the 3rd picture they had charged to my card. I spoke with a manager who said had sold my picture (which I had already paid for) but would re-order and contact me to make yet another trip to pick up. I never heard a word back and haven’t been able to make the trip to confront them again. Why would I go back after the first trip when they told me they had sold my picture which I had already paid for? This business charged my card and refuses to produce what I paid for. Nothing less than theft. I would file a case in small claims court but after the fees, it would cost more than I paid. They charged my card and then re-sold my picture without refunding me. This is theft.

I absolutely LOVE this store. I have bought countless items from them and have never had any problems. The staff is friendly and very professional. You have to take time to browse because there are always new beautiful surprises around every corner. I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this store. Have purchased a sectional & others things. The staff are all super friendly. They are willing to help, but are not pushy sales people. That makes the shopping experience nice. Encore always has a good variety of things for many styles. I keep an eye on their social media, since they post their latest inventory there. The manager always goes above & beyond for you. The design consultants know what they are doing. If you have never shopped there, don’t wait to check it out!

I absolutely love.love.love all the items I purchased a couple of weeks ago! Every morning when I walk through my den I am so thankful that I stopped by Encore that day. Had no idea I would be buying several items, but thrilled with my purchases. The new Mango coffee table that I now have actual made it all come together! It is perfect. Thank you again for a great experience and I will be back soon! Oh, the delivery guys were wonderful! They are a great asset to your company and put the icing on the cake for a perfect experience with my second visit back to Encore.

Love this place... came in and was greeted by Tori , an employee, started talking to her about what I wanted or what I was thinking . She quickly took me around showing me what she liked and what she thought I would like by the end of our conversations, I let her have free reign and she basically furnished my entire new house. She was extremely pleasant to speak to, has excellent taste , and went above and beyond to help me. Since then I have bought several other items from her suggestions. I had a great experience. Tori was amazing.

They have no vintage and very little consignment. Every thing is EXTREMELY overpriced. Not going back, interior designer and my customers will not appreciate their steep prices.

I could spend hours in this place. I want all the things! The staff is super efficient and helpful every time I make a purchase. Highly recommend for anyone needing a high end look for all pice ranges.

Over the years, I’ve made several purchases at Encore. After today, I will never shop there again. This afternoon, I purchased a piece of furniture. At checkout, we told the salesperson we would return later in the afternoon or tomorrow to pick it up as we were in a small vehicle at the time instead of our truck, and he agreed. We paid in full and left with receipt in hand. A couple of hours later, we received a phone call from the salesman stating that he had failed to put a “Sold” sticker on the furniture, and as a result, someone else purchased it and left with it. He stated they would refund me. My husband called back and asked to speak to the manager, requesting that they call the other customer and have them return the furniture we’d already paid for. Instead, the manager refused, stating that the furniture had still been in the store’s possession and a “human error” had occurred. My husband kept requesting that the manager call the other customer and explain that we had already paid for it, and the manager kept refusing. The manager insisted on refunding us instead of doing what we asked. He said if we didn’t give him our card number that we’d paid with, he would just void the transaction. Encore didn’t have a problem calling us to tell us they’d sold our already-paid-for furniture, yet they refused to call the person they’d then sold it to in error. Apparently, they don’t keep a record of inventory in their system to know when they’ve sold an item. And instead of offering us customer satisfaction, the manager was belligerent about refunding us without any other attempt to make sure we were satisfied enough to shop there again.

I absolutely LOVE Encore! The staff is so friendly and I am always greeted with a smile! They have a great selection of classic styles, but also unique pieces. I almost never leave empty handed!

The delivery man obviously was unhappy about our narrow staircase. He told me he only did the lifting the mattress to upstairs to keep his job.

...Well, thank you for the response, although I do not understand how that would put someone in danger when my husband actually stayed at the balcony when the delivery man stayed underneath to lift the mattress, I apologize for that. But if it was dangerous I should be told at the time. I made the suggestion of moving the mattress through balcony because the delivery men said there was no way they can take the mattress upstairs. So should I return the mattress or just let it sit in my living room?!? I do not have experiences moving furniture but I thought they are professional and they should know? So I made the suggestion, if it does’t work then I should be told it doesn’t work, but not be treated with a very bad attitude which made me felt it was my fault to choose live in a house with a narrow staircase. The entire service was unprofessional after payment and most importantly they acted impatiently and irritated throughout the whole process.

My complaint was not well received as well. When I tried to explain the situation to the staff( later I know it was the OWNER himself), he kept interrupting me and blamed me for putting their delivery men in danger. Of course I am not a native English speaker, so it was harder for me to explain clearly when there was zero patience & no listening ear at all! Again, the ENTIRE experience was a TOTAL disappointment! I feel even more upset after I talked to the owner. I do not have any intention to put people in danger. What I need is only professional service of a furniture company.

I thought this was used furniture being sold on consignment , but that is not the case. It is new somewhat upscale furniture. It is a bit pricey but nice furniture.

Went for consignment. Prices were outrageous! 1500 for a used chest of no name brand. Consumer"s are smarter than this. Best I can say was consignment was in very back. Place was clean.

Loved it! My aunt suggested I go here since I was new in town and needed a few pieces for my house. Beautiful well made pieces and really good prices! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My new go to place!!
