We are military and have to move every three years. We used this company three years ago and they were great. Not any more. PCS is going to get super complicated with this company. Just a heads up. They never tell you what the actual price is of the box they tell it will be broken into payments. You don't get your weight tickets until your box is delivered to the next house and they add extra charges with out letting you know. If you have a problem don't bother calling customer service, they are horrible.

Had a great experience with PODS all the way around. We moved all of our belongings in two large pods and had them stored for several months before delivery to our new home. From customer service to driver’s we had great people! Hats off to Melvin Davis with Phenix City PODS- he was awesome! Will definitely use PODS again!

Be mindful of the way you pack your items, remember to use sufficient packing materials, better safe than sorry. We packed well and didn't have any breakage. Delivery & redelivery were timely, with many choices. I would use pods again in the future for a long distance move such as this one.

Make sure you check the quote online. I was quoted one price and was charged a ridiculous amount. They don’t help out at all then charge you money to NOT use it but to come and get it. Never again.

It’s been over 3 weeks since our PODs were picked up and they’re not scheduled to be delivered for another 10 days. Communication from the company has been abysmal. If you try to reach customer service over the phone, be prepared to wait 90+ minutes. When we spoke with one of the outsourced customer service representatives (Juster), he was slow to assist and was extremely rude and demeaning.
With two young boys (3 and 1), moves are already hard. Waiting a month and a half to get our household goods after they were packed makes it that much more difficult. As a member of the military, we’re moving every 2-3 years. With so many competitors in this space that can actually deliver property in a reasonable amount of time for a much lower price, do yourself a favor and explore elsewhere. I know our family will be during our next move.

Extremely poor customer service. All the reps talk over you, refuse to assist with proper customer service issues. Every phone call I’ve had to make has ended with no or little to no resolution. I was overcharged but no one was able to explain why. When a refund was requested for the overages I was told it would be 3-5 business days, it’s now 17 days and still no refund. The quality of care the agents have is mediocre and absolutely embarrassing for this company to proudly advertise. I wish I would have never done business with PODS, it was a complete ripoff in addition to the amount of wasted time I’ve spent attempting to rectify issues that I have. I would never recommend ethos company to a single soul!! I wish I couldn’t leave a star I’m so upset with my treatment.

I cancelled the second pod I ordered and changed the pickup date of the first one a week before they were supposed to be picked up and delivered. They delivered the second pod and charged me for the delivery and came to pick up the first on the original day. They changed my contract and are charging me a higher amount. I've had to change my moving dates because of the dispute of charges. I've been getting the run around talking to multiple people trying to get this resolved. The only reason I went with PODS is because I'm disabled and the pod sits on the ground so easier for me to load. Cost and hassle not worth the convenience of being on the ground and having a few extra days to load and unload. Next time I will stick with ABF for over half the cost.

My POD was sabotaged by someone who didn't appreciate me leaving my home with my belongings, but for all activities given, the PODS driver did a very good job of handling the situation to the best of his ability at the time. The only downside was that I was hugely overcharged and I need to get that reconciled.

We have had a terrible experience with pods! The delivery was satisfactory, but the pick-up has been awful. First, the first opportunity to schedule a pick-up was nearly three weeks away. Then they only picked up one of the two pods we rented. I immediately called and was assured we would not be charged for another month when they could not pick up the pod within the 30-day rental window. Yet we were charged anyway, and our dispute to refund the charges was declined. I just called again and the automated system indicated that the call-back time is 2 hours. No doubt from other displeased customers.

Everything about PODS MOVING & STORAGE was excellent. The time the representative spent with me on the phone explaining all about ordering and the time frame I would have to wait on getting the POD. The driver that brought and picked up my POD was very professional. He greeted me with a good morning and as he lefted he told me he hope I have a great day. He asked me if I knew where I wanted him to place the POD, I told him wherever he could put it would be fine. My overall experience was great. If I had to do it again, I would definitely go with PODS because your container stays right at your residence, so you can go in and out at anytime.

Do not use this company. Especially if you are military. No one on the customer service line can help me. My husband is military and we used them for a PPM move and will likely not be reimbursed because our weight tickets have not been sent to us. Customer service says they’ve been emailed even though I’ve not received anything. It’s terrible to have billboards outside military installations marketing yourself to service members and have this be such an ongoing issue. This causes unnecessary financial hardship during an already stressful time for a service member. The real kicker is they charge you the $120 for the weight tickets and then you never receive them so you can be reimbursed the thousands of dollars it cost to move. Essentially you’re paying to be screwed over. DO NOT USE.

Wrong from the git go, overcharged, poor customer service that can't make order changes, horrible out of date website. Less than truthful, incorrect invoicing, a billing department that doesn't care. Do not use.

If you are in the military and require weight tickets for your move, do not use PODS. I am a servicemember using PODS for a PCS move and this company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I've now called five times over the course of a month asking for the empty and full weight tickets for my container--weight tickets that are in my contract and that PODS has already charged me for. I've been bounced from customer service rep to customer service rep each time. Not one of them has been able to "find my weight tickets" and they blame the storage facility for the delay.
At this point, I'm not sure whether I'll have any weight tickets to turn in to the military. I will not be using PODS for a PCS move--or for any personal move--again and I caution other service members against doing so.

Really simple process. I completed my order online with a rep. It was a cross country move from NY to NC. The rep explained the price, additional fees, and how POD would need to be handled in NY. Morning of tye move the driver called with an ETA. He was very nice and assisted when needed with helping up with items since we didn't have hired movers. Overall great experience.

We moved our daughter from AL to SD with PODS. Flawless move from start to finish, including having the POD stored for a few weeks between pickup and delivery. Drivers communicated before all moves. I could not be more pleased and would definitely use them again.

Drop off driver hit my car during drop off. I was told due to the fact that it was the Podzilla that hit my vehicle that i would not be able to go through their insurance agency (Liberty Mutual) it took 3 weeks to get this information. They closed my claim and it took me 2 weeks in order to reopen my claim. For some reason I must go through the "Internal claims department" I have a police report and photos of damages. I just want my car fixed. At this rate I am not sure if they will every fix my car.

I DO NOT advice using PODS as a military family. We are out approximately 4000 dollars because they haven’t given us the correct weight tickets. I have called every week for seven weeks and get the same answer from customer service. They will submit a ticket to the service center and it will be emailed within 3 business days. I call after 4 business days and they say it could take 7 days. Then I call again and they submit another ticket. We moved in May and still haven’t received them. Stay AWAY from pods if you are a military family! You may not get reimbursed by the military.

Worst customer service ever! I paid upfront for everything, had to schedule the deliver 3 times since they do not bother to tell you a customer number and login for a delivery agreement. They will tell you the total for everything....and then bill you additional fees they never disclosed. Never again.

Everything from the quote to the delivery, to the pick up was exceptional. I highly recommend PODS for your storage needs. It is not cheaper than a self storage unit, but boy is it more convenient, which to us, makes up for the difference in cost. It was so nice to have it right outside to move things into while we restored our outlying buildings. We didn't have to load up a truck, go to a storage place, unload, and repeat. We just moved things from one spot to another in the yard. We loved it! So easy. And we kept it a month longer than we had planned, so they didn't hassle us, they just charged another month to the card we had on file. I love PODS and will use them for all our storage needs as well as moving.

Double billed credit card, then could never find “proof” of double billing. I had to report as fraudulent charges to my credit card to have the double charges reversed.

Not very happy at all. Most of my belongings have mold on them and they are not returning my phone calls to resolve any of the problems that was caused by a leak in their pod and warehouse.

The driver ran the POD into a tree and knocked a hole in it while it was raining. Then he left the POD in middle of driveway. I called immediately. They scheduled to have POD repaired and moved 2 days later. When i unpacked my POD serveal pieces of furniture and clothing was covered in mold. I habe reached oit for help and no one has contacted me.

Moved out of our house, and had to wait 2.5 months until our new house was ready. A full service company would have cost twice as much. The PODS were delivered and picked up on schedule. Can't beat it.

the only problem was when I needed access i drove 3.5 ours to the location and some how after a year of renting I did not know you had to make an appointment for regular access. I had to drive back without accessing the unit. Bummer!

Ooof I usually don’t write reviews but this has been by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I ordered the pods in April- had everything set up, hired movers to help and everything. First, I had the lady tell me I wouldn’t need more than 2 pods and wouldn’t let me put a 3rd one on there. I had to call back and add the third. Then on the day they were supposed to arrive- their window was 7:30-10:30, had the movers show up at 9. The pod didn’t show up until 5:30. Got the PODS loaded up and the rest of that side went fine.
In the midst of this we ended up purchasing a different home. I called PODS- and updated the address. I called to confirm MULTIPLE times. 2 of the pods showed up just fine. The 3rd he delivered to the previous address. No call to let me know he was on the way- nothing. I called to see where the POD was. Wait times were over an hour and then when I did get a hold of someone- I was hung up on 3 times. Had to call back and wait in line for the 4th time. Finally got someone who was willing to help- but couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Said they would have to email the warehouse manager and he’ll get to it when they get to it. I finally hear from the warehouse manager who says he will call the driver. I called 4 different times each an hour apart to get an update. By the 4th time the warehouse manager (Jason) was laughing because he forgot to call me back. I told him that this isn’t funny. This is a very frustrating and stressful situation. He refused to give me a solution until I pretty much demanded one or that he went out there himself. Their CUSTOMER service is freaking awful. I wouldn’t use these guys again if someone paid me. The pod is still currently sitting at the wrong address with NO solution. It’s been almost 12 hours. I have DONT USE PODS go somewhere else.

Loved the idea of not dealing with movers and waiting to see what gets broken, but Pod's customer service and communication was terrible.
The drivers were very nice and patient with you.but the phone representatives just didnt know what they were doing. FYI if someone ask for a manager, they want to talk to them at that moment, not waiting up to 48 hours to talk to them. Oh and the dispute section, dont even try and get ahold of them, straight to voice-mail.

They wouldnt deliver my pods 30 miles from pick up because it was in the wrong zip code. I didnt know ahead of time because I hadnt secured a place of residence yet. So I had to rent a truck, travel 300 miles round trip to load my stuff from the facility. I was told at one point they wont deliver because they can make more money on other jobs.

One hell of a expensive, terrible, stressful moving experiences I've had. I honestly didn't think the cost was terribly expensive but their customer service makes it worthless IMO. Every person I talked with had zero authority to make any decisions and until this day im still being transferred to someone who can help me. My advice is not use PODS moving and storage while the convenience having the container at the house the stress of dealing with this company is not worth the over $500 they charge. STAY FAR FAR AWAY

I had a very pleasant experience with PODS of Columbus. My unit was placed exactly where I asked them to place it. During the pandemic, it was completely no contact, and my payment was drafted from my account. It is currently scheduled for pickup 08/04/2020.
