Disappointing experience. I ordered the gnocchi bolognese, but it came with very little meat and an overwhelming amount of bland mushrooms—more mushrooms than gnocchi, which is unusual for a bolognese. It was also overly salty and topped with old, oxidized coriander (you can see it in the picture).

On the bright side, the price is not so expensive , and the service was excellent.

Finally it has a Good variety in the menu, so Maybe next time I will try something different to give this place a second chance .…

Seated in a timely manner, prices were reasonable. Chicken in the salad was a bit hard, otherwise everything was good. Clean restaurant, interesting interior and decor. A waiter came asking if we wanted a water refill, and just came over with another cup of water rather than filling the cup?? Not a complaint but just strange. Was a bit difficult to get the bill and pay at the end.

Outstanding Everything! We chose Maria’s to dine at due to an incident we observed with one of the nicest most professional managers we’ve ever worked with, as Dashers.

Happy that we did, as our server Eric was equally impressive with superior service and true knowledge of Maria’s menu and history. Then came the food! Wow! Five star, first class all the way! Most amazing Brussels, truffle fries, bruschetta and pastas! We more than highly recommend Maria’s! Bravo, Eric, Chef and Maria management ! We will be back soon!

What a gem of an Italian restaurant! We decided to go to Maria's for a Friday evening family dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We started with a basket of rosemary focaccia bread with a mixture of olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. This was really delicious. The bread was warm and the olive oil was very flavorful. The slight acidity of the balsamic vinegar balanced each bite well.

I split an Italian chopped salad entree with my wife and we ordered a 12" vegetarian pizza for the 3 of us. The salad contained many fresh vegetables and was dressed with Italian vinaigrette.

The pizza was delicious, and the crust was crispy on the edges and chewy, but it was a bit soggy in the center from the onions, tomatoes, etc. Since we're vegetarian, next time we'll go with a margarita pizza, which should not have as much moisture with fewer vegetables.

We finished our meal with a black coffee and a sharable tiramisu. Wow! This was so good! The coffee flavor in the dessert was not overpowering and the tiramisu was not overly sweet. They make their desserts at their main bakery and distribute them to their restaurants. I highly recommend it.

You won't regret having dinner at Maria's. I recommend it highly. Check out the photos.

I just had my son's rehearsal dinner at Maria's and I can't tell you how perfect it was. The patio was beautiful, the servers were on top of everything. The GM Rosanna was the most delightful person I've ever worked with. She made this whole event stress free and is my absolute hero. Thank you for all your hard work. Oh, and the food was delicious and we all left full and some of us may have trouble fitting into our clothes for the wedding.

The food is good if it was cheap
Service is nice

For the price :

Antipasti is just a salad with a lot of lettuce.
Not a real Italian dressing (olive oil, balsamique....). But taste is ok

Pizza are ok, but very greasy

Eggplant Parmigiana :no flavor, no taste, but the taste of the marinara. Texture of eggplant /eggs is weird.

FOOD POISONING! Terrible experience— I got days long food poisoning from eating their food and had to go on antibiotics because of it. Been going here for years and family will not be going back.

Always reliable! The gnocchi was light as well as the sauce! We order from them often and on holidays, all the sides! (And the seasonal Brocchiole for the day after!) Join thier club, earn points and you'll be hooked. Oh, they also make fabulous pizzas that we often order - usually lunch.

Hard to find a place for dinner with a good portion size and entrees for $19-22. Had the baked Rigatoni with meat sauce and layered ricotta. Food tasted great and portion size was perfect. 5 stars.

We didn't eat there. Ordered to go. Food was good, but the crispy chicken tasted like it was deep fried in oil that wasn't fresh. Otherwise, the rest of the food was yummy. Can't believe they've started charging for their pizza bread... that was one of the selling points of going to Maria's. Not quite as excited to go if I have to pay for their signature bread.

Maria's has the best Italian food! It takes 20 minutes for the baked lasagna and worth the wait. We had the house Chianti and was very good. My wife had the salmon and finished every bit of it. My daughters had the spaghetti with meat sauce and the sesame chicken. Soon good we ate before we could take pictures!

Great food and good service. lt was raining, so no outdoor sitting as it was getting quite wet out there. It was voting day, so there were quite a few ppl inside and some had to wait for tables to be available, we didn't mind!.. Food was good and fresh. We went for lunch and so l ordered a meal with a small cesar salad (which was extra) all from the lunch menu. l though the lunch meal portion was quite generous due its cost, until l realized when l got the bill, that l have been given a dinner size portion and it had been charged accordingly. l did not complain, thou it was their mistake, bc it was as if two plates and delicious! so l took half home for another meal. However, it was a bit uncomfortable when ordering other stuff, as were bread, oil, balsamic and chopped garlic, the waiter kept announcing after each item that it was a dollar extra and l kept responding, sold!, until my lunch partner just cracked up laughing!. All that sounded as if he was an auctioneer. l wished they just put it on the menu as extras and if you order, well you read and know that you got to pay!. The food and service, made it all worth it.

I don't recommend this restaurant. We had bruschetta, garlic bread, chicken Parmigian, and mushroom risotto. Spent over $80 but nothing was really good for that price except the bruschetta. It was ok.
I feel bad being misled by the name of the restaurant saying Italian.

Came in today with my friends and first decided we were going to dine in. We ordered waters all around and then realized we wouldn’t have brought time to dine in. We told the waiter, and after placing orders, he very rudely said “for reference to go orders are in the front desk next time.” The fact that we were the only customers there at the time, and are somehow bothered by the fact that we sat at a table and drank water is outrageous. The entire staff stared at us until the to go food came. Buddy at least I’m not 29 working as a server at a mediocre family owned business. Get a life.

I ordered takeout from here yesterday with my friend and had their “famous” meatballs with pasta. And now I have food poisoning, right after. Their meatballs must have been old since I threw them up. Im still up at 4 am dying from pain. The garlic knots and cookies were good but I think they should be more careful with their meat expiration.

We haven't been able to dine out so today we treated ourselves to a great meal. I ordered a caesar salad with an added large serving of salmon. Also, clams and linguine. Everything delicious and fresh! The restaurant always clean, great friendly service.

DON'T TRUST THE PRICES ON THE MENU. We ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs on-line where the menu price was listed at $75. When I sent to pick up the order, they charged me $85. When I asked the restaurant manager to honor the menu price listed on-line, she told me she couldn't and I would have to take up any billing dispute with "Corporate". Basically, she brushed me off. I have never been to any restaurant where any billing differences couldn't be resolved on-site. I did send an email to the address listed on the website, explaining the issue. Still no resolution. Very poor customer service.

Food as always is fantastic. Fresh and so much flavor. Only reason for the 4 stars is that few times going the service hasn't been great. Tonight we got our drinks quickly but it was 12 minutes before they came to check on us and they started to walk away before I said we were ready to order.

I use to go to Maria's in Oxnard California and they closed it. I went to Maria's in Agoura California because it is the closest one. I have to tell you it is worth the drive. The lasagna is amazing, bread, and pizza is amazing. Talk to Jacob the Manager. He is terrific. I don't have pictures because we had take out and I was hungry.

Ok it’s closer to 3.5 however the food was extremely salty for two the four main dishes and since we didn’t want to wait to remake two we ate them.one was barely edible and this was Sunday two weeks ago. I heard the eggplant parmigiana was very good as were the meat ravioli. The beef tortellini was just a salt lick sadly. Ate outside and it was a beautiful night, service was slow however not their fault they were short staffed and there was a rush. Like this place and have had better food here before,maybe just a rough night

Excellent dishes all the way around. We had a large group celebrating a Pepperdine graduation. We ordered a variety. My favorite was the Hoboken ravioli and the Chicken Parmesan. I will definitely return the next time I am in town. Also excellent service by the waiter from Kentucky! I admired his impeccable service and accent.

$18 for spaghetti with a beef and pork meat sauce? Forget it, I'll drive the extra distance for Maggiano's. At least they don't then shame you with a "A 3% service fee will be added to all checks allowing Maria’s to continue providing competitive wages and maintain high-quality ingredients. If you would like this charge removed, please notify us."
I'll never do business here. Just like Pizza Hut, if you can't afford to do business in California while providing your employees with the benefits they deserve then you should contact your representatives or get out of California.

Last night was poor. An obvious shortage of help in the kitchen and table service Waited an hour for food. Wanted to order another glass of wine; but no waiter to be found.

Sat outside on a warm summer night with shorts/flip-flops, both my girlfriend and I separately felt fleas jumping on our feet and lower legs. We shared an antipasto salad and meat lasagna ... Food tasted like standard mass produced Italian, nothing special.

I have never been a fan of Italian food, primarily the boring and bland tomato-based sauces most restaurants serve, so I always tended to stay clear of any Italian restaurants. My family, however, loves it. We are now going to Maria's on a regular basis and I have come to love many dishes here. Their lasagna is fantastic, as is their chicken picatta (my personal favorite). Our long-time favorite person, Rosanna, is now with them. As the former owner of Darband Persian Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, we loved Rosanna and her staff, as well as her former restaurant's food quality. With my newfound interest in Maria's and with one of the friendliest people in the world (Rosanna) now working their, we plan to visit Maria's in Agoura OFTEN.

Just past the lunch crowd. Had the heated patio to myself. Pepperoni and mushroom flatbread and glass of white wine was perfect for this weary traveler. More than enough to take back to my hotel for midnight snacking. Will definitely be back when in town.

My best friend is Italian and makes the best shrimp scampi. It’s so good, I rarely order it out because I don’t want to be disappointed.

Definitely a nice restaurant. When I entered the restaurant their first response looked cold, but after I settled down their service was fantastic. Simple interior decor that makes you feel easy. The menu had a long list of items. The prices are slightly on the higher side. I wasn't really sure about the freshness of the food even though it tasted very good. J liked their fresh bread with olive oil as side.

Food is always great. That's the only reason i take my family to eat there. The service is always poor, ALWAYS. It feels like there is one waiter to all guests or the waiters hide in the back. Water or drinks stay empty, good luck trying to get a new utensil or napkin. I would go more often if the service was better. The food and plate sizes are the tops. Please please get better and more servers.

A bunch of people recommended giving this place a try. So I did and ordered their boulevard pizza. Personally I wasn't impressed with their pizza at all. It was doughey and bland. I'm not even sure if they added tomato sauce to it; if they did then they skimped on it. Even with the added toppings, it just had no taste. The only thing I can say for certain is their pizza has less grease compared most places which is a plus. I found their complimentary bread had more flavor than their pizza. The only other takeaway from my visit there was the staff was very friendly.
