This is a small restaurant, but the setting is very cozy, very neat and clean, and comfortable. The main dishes range about $40-$50. I ordered a lamb chops and a devil eggs. The dishes are well presented and delicious. Will go back there again and try put the rest...

I love coming here with the hubby for a nice meal in a quiet atmosphere with really the best food around. If you're looking for something different in the San Gabriel Valley, come here and try out the fare.

Some of it is Asian fusion but my go-to is the garlic shrimp mashed potatoes. Over rice is also really good. The beurre blanc is perfect, headier than usual here, with tart capers and thyme. The mashed potatoes are perfect! The chef is from Idaho (or Iowa? I will have to ask next time) so you can expect the best mashed potatoes. Husband got the braised beef rib and it was perfect, falling off the bone, and served with a savory au jus-based mushroom gravy. Mushrooms, red bell peppers, and asparagus on the side as the veggie, served on top of a bed of white rice.

I've also had the pesto pasta with shrimp (delicious), husband has had the jambalaya (zesty and peppery). Smoked salmon bruschetta is what we usually get for an appetizer, served with pesto spread on top of a small piece of toasted bread with the smoked salmon, a dab of cream cheese, and some dried cranberries, mmhmm, topped with smoked paprika (husband could eat a whole plate by himself).

Service is friendly and efficient.

This place is truly a diamond in the rough. Food is so good.

Tips: you can find parking in front on the street or in the back. Across from Lunasia and close to Alondra's, a hot wings place.

Lovely little eatery tucked away in the heart of the SGV, with a menu that looks like a Sino-European smorgasbord!

Recommended: Chicken jambalaya, braised rib soup

Definitely will be coming back again!

This place is an absolute gem! Got takeout here and the food was still tasty and a feast for the eyes!

The Cajun Seafood Pasta was delicious and had the right amount of kick. Butternut squash was creamy and filling. For dessert, got tiramisu which was the perfect way to end the night.

A little pricey, but well worth it for the quality 😋 Portions were pretty generous too.

I love hole-in-the-wall places like this, so I'll be coming back again!

Very warm and welcoming staff. Delicious food and exotic teas. I devoured my Chilean sea bass with butternut squash puree while my cousin consumed her spinach pasta and her beau enjoyed in his seared salmon salad with mango salsa. I was negligent in taking photos (as is my usual custom) because we were all so hungry. The presentation of the meals were so visually tantalizing that we just dove in and staring eating. I don't even think we said grace (oops).

We tried pesto pasta and shrimp&mash potato. Both of themselves are a little different taste than ordinary. A pesto pasta was not good balance and oily. A shrimp&mash potato was yum after bringing it back to home and arranged bake style with pizza sauce and cheese.

I love this place! Great service, great as take out, and the food is soo good. It is to LA pricing and I can see if other people are turned off to it, but it is priced fairly for the quality and service. This is a my Italian go-to spot!

Sage Bistro offers great food and service. Staff are attentive and competent. It's probably one of the few good bistros in Alhambra.
Sage Bistro is very spacious, neat and well organized. I had the deviled eggs and stuffed chicken breast with veggie mash potatoes. Prices are relatively fair $$ that match the excellent food and service. Street parking is available. I highly recommend Sage Bistro for Lunch or Dinner.

The owners of this place are lovely and super friendly! This restaurant is a hole in the wall but the food they serve are so savory and delicious that you’d have pat yourself on the back for making a stop here to sample their cuisine. The entree costs are justified by the quality and taste - and the portions are very fair. We have been eating here periodically for the past 3-4 years and we are always left happy by the experience. 😋

First and last time I order from this place and supposedly her name is Wanda. She is the person. Picking up the phones right now. Such a good restaurant and such useless and rude people. In the heart of downtown Alhambra, this intimate boutique restaurant serves up yummy dishes without too much flare or overly dramatic interior design.

The parking:
Its downtown Alhambra, you got street parking, structures close by and some spots in the back of the restaurant

The restaurant:
Clean, simple decor and quiet, perfect for a casual dinner

The food:
Its yummy, I had some of my friends dishes and everything i sampled including my own dish was good.

We got cheesecake for dessert and it was also good.

Unfortunately nothing crazy, over the top amazing or bad about the menu items. Just good and sometimes good is exactly what you are looking for.

The only comment I will say is the menu is small, this could be a major plus if you feel whelmed by larger menus

The food here is pretty average. If I want to be brutally honest, this place deserves .5 stars for the food. The lady's customer service was the best thing about the place, but I can't eat customer service. I should've seen the red flags where we were the only people there, the misplaced bathroom sign that leads people to believe that the world is your dumping ground. The rice was overcooked, the dessert was watery. It was for my best friend's birthday. Although she chose the place, she regretted eating here then and later that day (we only ate here once).

Fantastic place. The quality of the food far surpasses the ambience in this restaurant. If they lowered the lighting a bit and put candles on the tables you'd find yourself at a restaurant deserving of making advance reservations. One of the few restaurants I've been to where even the sauteed vegetables are delicious. Oh, and the owner is a delight as well! She always remembers where my partner and I sat the previous time and how many people came with us. That's what I call attention to your customers. Thank you!

First of all the steak is excellent grade and quality. The way they cooked it absolutely delicious. It appears the chef knows what he is doing which is very refreshing. Wanda greeted us with a smile, great conversationalist and provided great service. While I was there many people started to come in apparently regulars whom know what they were going to order. It's a great find. I intend to come back and order every dish.

Been going there once in a while now.
My favorite is the Roasted Duck Breast, keep coming for more. Perfect balance of saltiness on the duck, that blends with the reduction sauce, vegetables and mash potatoes.
Also tried the following:
Pork Chop Casserole: so tender that you don't need a knife.
Linguine with Meatballs: be ready to ask for togo box
Cajun Seafood Pasta: can't go wrong with that
Duck Leg Confit: very tender and for those that like sweet finish
Stuffed Chicken Breast: juicy, tasty & tender

Only been open for less than 4 months and already hitting the off the chart grade point average stars, I just had to give this a place a look-see!

Parking may be difficult as it is a very popular restaurant central spot, but be patient you won't regret your decision.

The restaurant use to be an old coffee shop, so you'll notice a bit of a narrow layout with a bit of coffee shop vibe. Don't take that as small, because it can fit big parties easily. My feeling immediately was how home-y i felt, comfortable and ready to eat!

I came with my parents and they are strict vegetarian with not even garlic and onions in their diet. Usually this can be such a headache explaining the stress of how allergic they can be when touched. With such ease and comfort our servers knew immediately and even custom made some off the menu vegetarian dishes just for us.

Not only were the presentation amazing, but on first bite into our veggie steak (made from scratch- panko, mushroom and potato) with mash potato on the side clearly gave you the feeling of eating a real steak, but with a plus no poor cows were harmed ! Right off the bat you can tell the freshness of each bite, the consistency was perfect and it almost really gave you a slight feeling of ...ummm are you sure this aint meat dude? I love how they knew we probably don't go to much steak houses, so they brought it to us! Side mushroom dishes and fresh asparagus really set the mood!

I also got a generous portion of Pasta with sun dried tomato and seriously, the portion is so big I just had to pack it to go. Plus i still had to make space for some of their infamous Tiramisu!!!

Tiramisu were yum..nough said' !

Over all 5 stars and above for amazing service, great service and did I mention delicious food?!?!?!?!
