IHOP

Came on a Wednesday at about 11 am. Big parking lot and huge seating availability to include outdoor seating.
Waitress was friendly. She was a bit busy but not overwhelmed. The restaurant was at about 60% capacity. The food was good. Coffee pots are ridiculously small. Our ketchup bottle was empty, but nothing serious. Recommend the French Toast.
The biggest turn-off bathroom was tiny compared to the giant dining area.

Have to say it was one of the most pleasant custoner experiences I've had I'm a long time. My waitress FATIMA greated us with a smile that will brighten up your day, went out of her way to make suggestion to help ensure we receive the most bang for our buck and made sure to check on us periodically. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this experience.

My wife and I have been coming to this IHOP location on Alhambra for many years and enjoying the food and the many changes through the years. We always come here for breakfast my wife enjoy breakfast in the morning including myself,I enjoy the pancakes they many varieties of pancakes enjoy have a good breakfast.

First time there. Compared to the one on Atlantic in Monterey Park, this is IHOP is way better. Juan Carlos was excellent. Today 09/10/2024 I when for breakfast. I was really impressed with the service that I actually gave the 20%tip. Even though he was busy, he never stopped making sure everything was to my satisfaction. Juan Carlos, thank you for your excellent service

Delicious food and excellent service. You must try pan cakes with strawberry soup. Best pan cakes I ever tasted. Scrambled egg is my second favorite dish.

This is not the IHOP I remember from my youth. My white pesto omelette with veggies, generous portion of avocado, and a side of fruit (ok mostly honeydew, but still) was delicious. The servers are totally on top of things, and when I went to pay, they seemed genuinely concerned that I had waited more than 30 seconds. I have come to expect zoned-out, bordering-on-resentful service in diners, understandably considering the low profit margins (I presume). But this team was energetic and worked together.

Prices are sky high, but I’m guessing that’s set by the franchise. If it had been sub-par food, it would have grated, but I happily paid the check.

One review said the coffee pot was too small. Uh… a solid three+ mugs-worth – if you need more than that, you might want to start getting more sleep.

The breakfast dish had loads of oil in it. The eggs were glossy because of...oil. the has down were limp because...oil. The plate was nice and shiny because...you guessed it, oil.

Service was great and everyone was nice. Food was the opposite.

Been a while since I've been here. I like the new updated menu items. Honestly, food options look way better. Glad they brought back chicken stuffed creeps. Service is awesome. Friendly staff. Lots of tables even outside.

Appreciate these guys at this location so much, if I'm ever Ubering in Alhambra area and I need to use the restroom at wi hours of morning they let me use their restroom. They are a God send comes to that. Peopple dont drive 12 hour shift dont understand! Since this place usually open 24 hours, very helpful after 10pm places bathrooms close. I like getting Crepes breakfast here, delicious. More than enough parking.

Girlfriends breakfast with great food and service!! Get together with our out of town girlfriend so we treated ourselves so no one had to cook and the food did not disappoint. We'll do this again.

Had a ham and cheese omelet and pancakes. Worst egg dish I have ever had. Cardboard probably tastes better. Did not finish it. Probably will not go back.

Food was average and the wait was around 15 minutes. Overall pretty okay, what you expect from an Ihop. Pancakes and breakfast were nothing special though.

I'm from Texas so I was suprised at the friendliness of our server, Sandra(?) She helped usplenty! Walls definitely need to be wiped down as you could see syrup handprints.. other than that was pretty clean. We'll be back before going home!

This is the second time at this location, and it’s a great experience! Karina was awesome and the first time she split every persons check! It was great! She checked in with our table a lot and we felt taken care of. Definitely coming back!

Had the T-bone steak and green beans and Mac and cheese, it was delicious!

Just left the restaurant… this time we decided to go to I hop we usually go to the competition, to my surprise it was horrible starting with the service took for every to bring every thing we asked for, water, coffee…. Server got our order wrong she charged the table behind us our bill we had to wait for that to get fix… horrible never coming back!!! Don’t know what happen to this place!!!!

Karina was my server and she made sure me and my son had a good experience on our night out together. I usually goto Denny's because their portions are so huge I can get away sharing a plate, but today we tried this particular IHOP because it did not look too busy and the building looked so charming. She suggested a secret menu when I ordered some extra sides to bulk up the Sampler plate. It turns out a meal here can cost about the same as fast food restaurants. The food was good. We came in hangry and overall stressed out because the diner we intended to goto was closed and had a disaster at McDonald's. They do not even allow you to order at the counter now. Coming to this location with real service and good food was really refreshing. I have gone accustomed to the poor and slow service at diners in general. Thank you Karina for changing my overall negative bias about IHOP's when it comes to service.

Went here on a Saturday morning around 10am with a group of 7. It was busy as to be expected but we didn't wait too long because they opened up the patio for dining. It worked out well for us. It got really full by the time we were finished. The only bad part was there was only one server for the patio. She was good but I hope another server worked the patio.

Went in around 11am to have breakfast for my sister birthday. Our first waitress was very kinda but the second waitress had loads of attitude. The food took a while to get to our table and once it arrived it wasn’t all appetizing, the only thing that was good were the pancakes. None of the waiters came and asked us how we were or if we needed anything else, and when we would ask for something they’d just give us a horrendous look. Near the end we asked for a juice and she forgot about it and so we asked again and once the waitress gave it to us, she looked very moody. I’d suggest to let your waitresses know that they should be presentable and very welcoming because if this behavior keeps up you will lose costumers.

Took my sister for her birthday to this location and the food quality was really bad. Usually she visits ihop in Monterey park and she was very disappointed on the food quality and serving sizes are ridiculous.

Kinda hit a miss with the service here. Sometimes the staff is very on top of things but I feel like the last couple times I’ve gone we had to keep reminding them about things we ordered and food came out at different times. But the staff is always kind and always make the trip fun. Food is always cooked perfectly and the place is always clean.

I am sure the service and food are great. But the smell was horrible. I am not sure if it is the rain, but there was a terrible odor once you enter the restaurant. Sadly, we left due to odor.

This restaurant was understaffed on Thurs Sept 1st. One host, one server, and it was getting busy. Our drinks and food took a long time to arrive. Paying the check took some time also. I'm not putting the blame on the server. She tried her best juggling her tables. You can see how tired and frustrated she was trying to keep her composure..... But honestly this place is better than Des pair Books in Echo Park. ...2 extra stars better.

Service very slow. I ordered biscuts and gravy, it was a complete disappointment and nothing similar to what was pictured on the menu. Biscut were huge and gravy was a tablespoon in a small plastic container... typically used for garnishes. I won't go there again!

Shared two omelettes - one spinach and mushroom, and one chicken fajitas. Both were good.

The waitress Wendy is very unprofessional. She takes several orders from many tables at once without writing any orders down on a paper✍🏼 how is she going to remember every ones orders. It ridiculous she should be required to write the orders down & stop asking customers to repeat their orders just because shes too lazy to write them down & Of course she gets orders wrong because of this.😤just waste our time & patience waiting for the correct food. Also it feels like she rushes you when ordering. Ihop needs more professionalism working at this location.

Food was okay, quality you expect from an ihop. Server came by maybe twice, but thats probably because the place was busy and staff appeared short handed. It wasnt the cleanest of eating areas, but i also chalk that up to understaffed.

Had soup? Served with a teaspoon. Would of enjoyed it better if l had a soup spoon. Also when the waitress came to bring me my plate she handed it to me. Weird l thought she would place it in front of me.. Plus l didnt like how she ignored us when we needed her. Once she looked direcectly at us when we called her and she looked straight at us before turning around and ignoring us. All never go there for dinner again.

Going to be honest here. This used to be a favorite spot to many, and now to some, not anymore. There seems to be one waiter in particular that has been put off to the side and outside for a whole host of reasons and issues he has.

I see his history on here as well, and I need to let you all know. It's him, not you. No matter what issues or history someone may have at this restaurant, it is not ok to use this eatery as your own personal pit of misery. Used to spread your malice, hate, and ill will towards any and all unsuspecting diners who enter this once cherished establishment.

I see others have been made miserable by this guy as well, so I had to step up and say something. It really is unfair of this person to take his issues out on decent people and their families who we know are just looking to have good food and a nice time out together. It will never stop. Not cool, Buzz Killington.🤡

I had IHOP catered a brunch today! Everyone enjoyed the food so much: fluffy pancakes, made to order scrambled eggs, toasty potatoes and bacon with extra sides of ham and sausages. My order was completed exactly as I wanted. It was fantastic. If you want a catered brunch, please consider IHOP in Alhambra. They are fantastic and service was excellent.

This used to be our favorite ihop as service was always quick and correct. Our last 3 trips here have been disappointing. From waiting for our food over 45 minutes, tables seated after us getting their food first, to items missing/incorrect, to their system being down and the manager trying to hold everyone from leaving. The service here has really gone down. We will no longer come to this location.

This Ihop is good for going to only after you've tried going to two other restaurants. Our server had a monotonous bored voice, and the food was mediocre at best. The chicken tenders that came in the sandwhich were deep brown, most likely the result of being double fried. The server also never came up to check on us. We decided to go to the front desk after waiting 20 mins for our check. Save your time unless you're into an understaffed restaurant.
