Food: So So, could be more flavorful
Portions: Single Hotpot size (Size is good)
Price: Not bad for what it is.
Service: Not much, Scan QR code to order
Atmosphere: Nice, simple, clean and comfortable
My 1st time is this restaurant. Just walking around wondering what to eat and thought we give this a try. Once we walked in, the atmosphere is quite nice and comfortable. Not a whole lot of people during lunch time. The restaurant business is tough these days.
There really isn't any service. We sat ourselves down. The waitress only came by and told us to scan the QR code to order. Did not offer us water or any beverage.
So I ordered two pots what the QR code menu. Did not take too long to came out, which is good.
The size of the pot is pretty good size, I could not finish it.
The taste or flavor in the other hand is kind of blend. We both ordered the mild spicy. I thought it was my taste, my friend also said the same. The soup base is not very tasty. This is the worst soup base I had out of all the hot pot place I have been to. I'll stick with other places
Services: there are really no service at all. We did not get seated by any host or waitress, we see ourselves, you ordered through a QR code. And someone will bring you to food. The lunch came with a drink, but we also asked for a cup of cold water and a cup of hot water. It never came. Restaurants are hesitating to hire more hostess, due to inflation expense and high salary expense. They could be a bit more attended.

First time here and on a Friday around 7pm. Wasn't busy and we were seated right away. Got the beef hot pot, mild and with vermicelli noodles. The broth was flavorful, but a tad too spicy for mild. Still good overall. I've had other hot pot broth that were more appealing, BUT for the dinner price it seemed very reasonable and did give a good amount of meat and extras inside. I was pretty satisfied. Also, extra credit for having a very clean and fresh smelling bathroom. Servers did refill my drinks without me asking. I'd come back for sure.

We love this personal hot pot place!
- In downtown Alhambra (easy parking in the back, plenty of shops nearby, near library)
- No waiting (plenty of seating)
- Clean and atmospheric (wall arranged tables, seats, and utensils, nice music, and cool air-con)
- Good selections (several from regular to large with good flavors, served on stable hot pot stands)
- Free drinks (nice cool teas to go with the hot pot)
- Just about right amount (not over-stuffing and no waste)
- Friendly staff (just about right courteousness, and helpful)
- Frequent diner program (register right away, and easy to obtain rewards)
- Good value (compared to other ridiculously long-waiting-line personal hot pot places)
We shall come back a lot more!

Tasty Pot in Alhambra tastes just like Tasty Pot in SF! It’s a safe bet if you want something you can rely on. The menu looks like the same as it is in northern or Southern California. I ordered the exact same thing and it tasted exactly as I expected! If you know Tasty Pot, you can guarantee it will taste the same. I couldn’t remember all the pots we ordered but I recall the Seafood pot, Kim chi dumpling, beef and miso. We also ordered an extra side of meat which is a nice deal! 👍😬

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night around 8pm and the wait was like 5 minutes. We shared the beef hot soup (#1). The broth tasted like satay spices and it got a bit salty towards the end. Overall, it was pretty good. We got extra vermicelli & taro for toppings. With the protein and veggies the soup already came with, we were both pretty full and glad we just shared one. The bowl/pot wasn't deep enough so it didn't fit much broth. The staff came by and refilled the broth a few times so I appreciated that. I would like to come again and try their other broths. We also tried their popcorn chicken and it was pretty delicious. 😊😋

Got the kimchi dumpling hotpot with vermicelli noodles, and it was really good. It comes with kimchi, pork dumplings, beef brisket, rice cakes, imitation crab, shrimp, dish cake, and cabbage. I think a few more things, but you can refer to the menu for the for the full list. We ordered through the QR code menu, and it came relatively fast. It looked like you can also order from a server with an iPad as well, but you would have to wave them down since QR code is the default. Overall, it was a pretty good experience with lots of food. The lunch menu also comes with a choice of green tea or black tea! Would definitely recommend for hotpot.

My Boyfriend and I had dinner yesterday. He ordered the Kimchi Hot Soup and I ordered the Seafood (with Lobster). We are regular customers at Tasty Pot. Both Soups tasted different than before, they're were not tasty. As regular customers, we noticed right away. My lobster was old and looked brown and was very chewey. My Boyfriend told me not to eat the lobster. We were very disappointed with the food, cause we come here a lot. At least, my Boyfriend was given 50% off my soup after he complaint.

The soups didn’t quite hit the spot like they usually do when we used to frequent the San Jose location. I feel like they are going through some growing pains so I’ll have to come back to try it again. There were only 2 sauces on the table, a black bean sauce and I think I sweet soy one. I thought Tasty Pots had at least 1 more sauce, like a garlic one or something? Idk
Service was okay and quick.

總之別跟我ㄧ樣踩雷,我現在早上起床還覺的不是很開心。

Save your time and money and go to the other chain. Bland flavors and inattentive service. My pot never boiled, not until the flame died down. We let the waitress know and they didn't care and did nothing other than adjusting the valve a little which did nothing at all. And they took back the bill and came back with a 18% service charge added to the bill after we complained again about the equipment malfunction. I thought they were going to give a discount or something! Very sneaky!

We order pots with lobster and crab but we do not know where to put the left over shells. The only way I can think of is to put those on the napkins. I hope they could provide plates to hold the shells. One more suggestion: It would be nice to provide the customer with plastic gloves to peel off the shells instead of using bare hands.

Nice flavor! Authentic Taiwanese flavor. We ordered the Taiwanese spicy pot. They are plenty kinds of vegetables and meat. The pot stock is good. And the volumn is big. Also we ordered the fried popcorn chicken. It’s crispy and tender. Good dining experience.

The food was good, I won’t deny that. But 3/4 members of my family got food poisoning. I’ve eaten at Tasty Pot in another state and haven’t had this problem. I don’t know if it was because we came in not too long after the restaurant opened? But even though it tasted good, the diarrhoea/food poisoning I’m still experiencing 2d later is not worth the price point and flavour. Sigh

I frequent this place once every two weeks and share a hotpot if I'm not really hungry or get one whole of my own if I am. The pot size is really big enough for two, but one can stuff themselves if they like. The food themselves, such as hotpot, is pretty straightforward. You get to choose from a variety of different flavors such as bone broth, thai style, etc. This is pretty typical of all hotpot places. I pretty much had tried them all here. I prefer the two mentioned earlier. BTW, you can ask for more broth added to your hotpot should you want more as the pot gets less. This is something I think people don't realize, and the restaurant doesn't mention.
Overall, this place is pretty good. I don't mind coming here even on a weekly basis.

When you are competing with boiling point, you should have one of these 3: better food, cheaper, better service.
Unfortunately, this place has neither.
The food is ok, comparable to boiling point, some slight variation, the portion is about the same. However, the service was bad. The food took about 30 minutes to come home. One table asked about their food and the lady replied:”you literally just ordered just sit down and wait”, like what 😭😭
Come here if you have the time to wait and is not super hungry.

Great place for hot pot, especially on a cold rainy day. There's a lot of seats available inside. We came in at 11am (opening) on a weekday, so there was plenty of seats and no wait. Once it reached around 1pm, there were many people, but there were still open tables.
The hot pot came out quickly and included a drink. The green tea is sweetened, so it is very sweet. The hot pot is nice and includes a heat source on the bottom. You can turn it off by sliding the cover on the side of the hot pot to cover the fire. I'd recommend doing this halfway through just in case it gets too cold. However, the heat was fine for me, and I kept it going throughout my meal.

One of the better hotpot restaurants. Big and clean restaurant on Main Street in Alhambra. Scan the QR code and order via mobile phone. Meal can be customized using mobile phone. Meal comes with a drink and a cup of rice or noodles. Many flavors to choose from. I think the most expensive hotpot is the one with a lobster for approximately $25. I've tried both the lobster hotpot and the beef hotpot $16.99. I would take the beef hotpot and save the $8. Service is pleasant and food didnt take long to come out. Perfect meal for a cold or rainy day. Plenty of parking in parking structure in rear.

First time trying Tasty Pot and I have to say I am so happy my friend took me! There are so many personal sized hot pot places in the SGV, but I have to say Tasty Pot has one of the best varieties of items within each pot! they definitely give more protein than BP . The soup base is also very flavorful without feeling like its too salty or greasy.
The restaurant itself is a lot bigger too compare to other places, so won't have to wait as long!

I saw a deal for 10% off Alhambra restaurant week and decided to give this place a try. Definitely trying to be a boiling point look a like but I'm sorry to say the soup base was very lacking. We ordered the lamb pot and the stinky tofu pot. For the lamb pot, the lamb tasted like it was boiled in hot water. No lamb flavor at all. For the Stinky Tofu pot the soup base just didn't taste good to me and near the end (like a lot of other yelpers mentioned) the soup got sandy. Making it very hard to eat. I ended up taking most of it togo. Rinsing the soup out of all the ingredients and redoing a new soup base. There were a good amount of ingredients though. Stinky tofu, pork, cabbage, sausage, tofu in both pots. We also ordered the Rose matcha latte with boba. That was actually really good. Just in enough flavor, boba was chewy and not too sweet. I will definitely be back for the drink...the hot pot not so much.
Service was good. They came by and asked us if we need to add soup. You park in the free parking structure in the back.

Tasty pot is a relatively new Taiwanese hot pot (individual sized hot pot) restaurant in downtown Alhambra. We came on an early Sunday, and it was pretty empty around 5pm. But by the time we left, it was packed! There are 9 different soup bases for you to choose from. And we opted for Taiwanese supreme spicy hot soup and Thai flavor hot soup. What impressed me the most was their large intestine, it was not gamy at all but delicious!
Pros:
1. New and clean.
2. The portions. Compared to other Taiwanese hot pot restaurants, they seem to offer more ingredients/food in the pot. And, the quality is slightly better.
Cons:
1. On the pricier side. (A few bucks more than BP)
2. Taiwanese supreme spicy hot soup wasn't spicy at all. Most importantly, it was not very authentic. Some flavors were def missing in the soup.
3. I probably like the dipping sauces from BP better. It doesn't mean their sauces are bad, just they can be better.
Service was good and bad. The female staff who had a pony tail was very friendly and attentive, but other staff were a bit absent-minded. Worth a try though!

I tried Tasty Pot in San Diego, not sure if this is the same owner. Big & clean space, not too long of wait. This place is comparable to Boiling Point hotpot, but they lack of dipping sauces. The soup is not very salty, which I like. The only downside is they use plastic soup spoon which isn’t very ideal for hotpot (in my opinion). The staffs are very friendly and attentive, always come to check if we need anything. I will come back to try the stinky tofu hotpot in the future.

Visited during their soft opening and although it took a long time to get the food, the owner/manager went above and beyond to take care of us. We didn't expect anything as it was their soft opening but the staff attentiveness went far.
Their hot pots are similar to boiling point but the portions felt bigger. I also loved that you can customize the spicy level of the taiwanese spicy unlike boiling point. If you are feeling like hot pot this place hits the spot.
