Afters Ice Cream

Came here on a late Sunday (around 10pm). Of course all the other dessert places are closed, so this place was a little packed. The young Hispanic gentlemen was helping us but he just looked a little annoyed. First time there, so I asked for 1 sample, and my daughter and her friend also asked for 1 sample each.. again annoyed look. But the 2 ladies before us asked got about 3-4 samples each?!..
The flavors were unique.. I got the ube brownie. Not too sweet and creamy. Our bill was a little over $25 including tip. Wish you could us a little more welcoming....

This was my favorite dessert place that we had while in LA. Unique flavors, great ice cream. What else do you need?

We got a Milky Bun with Frosted Strawberry Poptart Ice Cream and Mochi. If it's not enough that their ice cream is incredible delicious and stands on its own, you can stuff it in a donut. And it's a damn good donut too.

We sampled several flavors and really liked them all. I'll be back next time I'm in LA.

Small shop, really just in and out. No tables inside, maybe 2 tables outside. They have great and more unique flavor selections. Canned and bottled drinks available if you’re in need of them.
Beware of other customers who take forever to sample every flavor lol. They have store merchandise available, but no customer bathroom.

A friend of mine recommended this place, soI figured, why not?

I had no idea they closed as late as they do. They have interesting ice cream flavors that I would like to sample, but didn't get to because there was a line.

There were only 2 at the front and both handled orders and payment.

It is very colorful as well and the vibe tends to attract people. It is easy to find and they are close to several establishments such as restaurants and bars.

Staff was really friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back with other friends and give it a better try! I didn't quite enjoy the milky bun as I thought I would, but again I am going back to see if it can be changed.

I tried out their Ube brownie in the sundae form and it was super delicious! Ube is already a pretty good flavor and the brownie bits really made it elevated a bit more. This After's store doesn't have too many seats, but its easy enough to just stand around and finish your ice cream without too much issue.

Baskin Robbins has nothing on this place. This place has a lot of unique ice creams to choose from. Their staff was really friendly and helpful too. The interior of the place is fun, corky, and colorful. I would definitely come back to try out the other flavors. I highly recommend this place to ice cream lovers and to the curious folks.

I tried the UBE brownie = OMG YES! That COOKIE MONSTER is delicious! But, for me, if an ice cream place gets a sorbet right… so I went with the mango and whoa! They offered chamoy and tajin for toppings = SOLD! Wow…. Amazing! Great vibes inside, helpful servers! And they’re so fast, even if there’s a line!

They have have many unique options, BUT for the price of the size? We bought 2 1scoop and 1 2scoop and the bill was alittle over $20+. I realized that they have the pre-packed 1 scoops, and its about $1 cheaper! Didnt see that til I paid and was walking out. They have 2 tables inside and 2 tables outside and thats about it. The hispanic young guy that was serving us didnt seem too happy to be there or to be helping us out, until he cashed us out and saw the tip. The group of 3 people in front of us asked for about 6 samples... I asked for 1, and he seemed annoyed.

Was served by some blonde girl with terrible attitude. She shouted at me because she couldn t hear my order over the crowd that was building up in there. She proceeded to mix my ice cream with ice cream she served for another guest. Just quit if you hate your job

whatever blond girl that was working there around 10 pm on 1/29/24 has a horrific attitude. looked like she was mad at me cuz i asked her to repeat what she said because she was talking into the glass covering and it was pretty loud in there with other customers talking. then when we get to the register, she throws the milky bun on the counter and it almost slides off. i mean girl, if you dont want to work there, you can quit. i get its late but damn ive worked in food service at places that didnt close until after midnight and no attitude could compare to the one that she had when she served me and my friends.

Interesting flavors that are very good. The one scoop in a cup is plenty of ice cream, and its great that theyre open late. Few other ice cream shops are open until midnight, so its great to be able to frequent this one.

Tried the ube brownie and trippy tea party. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the ube brownie. Pretty good ube flavor with chucks of brownie in it. The trippy tea party is jasmine ice cream with boba in it. It was also pretty good with fragrant jasmine flavor.

Such a nice variety of flavors. If you don t know which flavor to get, ask for a sample! The staff is super friendly and told us a few jokes while getting the ice cream. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend their jasmine tea flavor.

The one dessert place I know that i can count on to be open later at night. You can pretty much mix and match anything and then turn it into a smoothie. I like how convenient that its a very little walk from the big restaurant chains nearby. I like their variety and Im glad that they kept my favorite flavors which is the Cookie Monster and the Dark Matter. Their Rick and Morty flavors are very yummy, too but I forgot what theyre called. They have very little seating, but you can really sit anywhere along the ledges of the big planters. My grandfather is super picky when it comes to flavor, but he likes this place. So, Ill be taking him here all the time now.

Took my son here for Ice cream and I was really good! Service was good too. He had mango sorbet, ver6 refreshing on a summer day. Its pricey for the amount you get. You pay about what youd spend on a pint at the grocery store for a scoop. It was 5 or 6 bucks but a nice treat. Fun people watching if youre lucky enough to be able to grab a seat outside at one of their two tables.

DONT GO HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Not sure if its just the girl that I got to scoop mine and my boyfriends ice cream but she barely put any ice cream in our milky buns. Ive been to many different Afters locations and this one has to be the worst. We left so unsatisfied and didnt feel like we got our ice cream fix.

Came in 15 mins before closing which I get people want to clean up and get off but when we walked in the music was so loud we couldn t hear, the lady and man both rushed me and my bf and they turned the music up even louder and proceeded to dance and whisper to each other and looking at us before making our order. I ordered 2 scoops in a cone and the ice cream was melting halfway down the cone. I asked for a bowl and the girl rolled her eyes. I understand it was close to closing but that does not mean talk about the customers while we are standing right there. Will not be returning to this location.

The ice cream is good and all, but some of the workers need to pay more attention to sanitation, because you can see them use one hand that isnt gloved to hold the ice cream tub, with the fingers inside and the other gloved hand to scoop. Same goes for when you are buying a cup because some workers, not all, sometimes touch the hell out of the inside of the cup without gloves.

This is not a place that services sit down, at least not during covid since there is only 3 tables, but the unique flavor ice cream selections are very good. And their option of a milk bun (which tastes like a wonderful glazed donut) made it 100% better

Needed to get some dessert after dinner out & decided to UberEATS some Afters. Havent had in awhile so happy to see ice cream is still pretty solid here. ITEMS ORDERED: Jasmine Milk Tea Strawberry Cookie Crunch TASTE: Pretty rare thing for me to get a strawberry ice cream but I did actually enjoy this flavor. Its creamy enough & at sometimes tasted a little too tart in the strawberry component. I thought it was oreo cookies inside at first, but its actually chocolate chips cookies which provide that nice texture I always enjoy. The bottom of the pint was the best since most the cookies were there. Id get this again if for some reason I wasnt in the mood for something more chocolate or caramel. Jasmine Milk Tea definitely gets the milk part right. This one is very milky & creamy. Maybe even a little too much for me as I keep eating it. But that could be because the jasmine tea flavor is a little too weak. SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING: UberEATS order so no comments on service directy. I do like how they packaged the two pints in a sleek black mailing envelope. They are located on Main St, pretty much adjacent to Gen BBQ. If you cant find a very close street parking there is the (free) structure off 1st St which is not far off. Another solid Afters experience. & Id buy their cream again. Oh & for reference I think Ive only done the donut ice cream thing here once. Not thats its bad, just doesnt really add anything for me. Rather just have more ice cream.

Tasty ice cream with some choices of ice cream flavors that are less typical. They do have some candy and cookie toppings if you want, but thats completely unnecessary. The staff is excellent - very friendly and helpful and fun.

Every visit here is amazing! The staff is always super kind, great selections, and I feel welcome every time. Earlier, I especially appreciated my visit even more thanks to Amy who was working midday! She had high spirits and was super helpful, totally adorable! Thanks again, will be coming back soon!

If you are in the mood for ice cream you have to try Afters. They have a good selection of ice cream flavors. My favorite was milk and cereal with cinnamon toast crunch topping. They also have great customer service.

Dank. Much larger selection than the location in Pasadena and its also indoor which makes it easier to enjoy at night when its cold. Merchandise is also sold here and theres an opportunity to see the ice cream unlike the Pasadena location. Will be posting pictures when I go back soon so yall get a better idea of the establishment

Best ice cream other than fossilmans has a slightly higher price point but it s defintely worth if you want quality ice cream and unique flavors. They have amazing rick & north inspired flavors and ones like Thai tea and milk tea which are very good.

Family wanted a snack, so we decided to go to Afters Ice Cream. Walked in and there was 1 person in line. The gentleman took our order and since it was our first time my girls couldnt make up their mind but the employees were very patient. We placed our order, paid, our icecream were handed to us and we enjoyed them. I ordered the milky bun with strawberry shortcake icecream and chocolate chips on top. This is the best snack Ive had in a very long time. We will definitely be going back.

Of all the ice cream places in the area, I probably frequent Afters the most because the whole family enjoys it. I typically rotate between the milk and cereal, Vietnamese coffee, and jasmine milk tea. It seems like Afters collaborates with TV shows/cartoons on some of their flavors. Im not sure if these are official collaborations but the past few times I visited, the store had Rick and Morty murals on the wall. Cant go wrong with any of the flavors! My only reservation about Afters is the service. I never had a bad experience exactly... but it wouldnt hurt if the staff was a little more cheery. We should all smile for ice cream! But then again, Ive never had to stand all day in a black and white box behind a counter so who am I to judge. Maybe staring at a black wall all day sucks the energy out of you hah Overall, good ice cream in a no frills shop. You pretty much get in and get out because they dont have any chairs for customers. I usually just stand around in the front and enjoy my ice cream though!
