Michoacana

This is my 3rd time coming here and I love everything about it. Parking is easy to find and the service is always good. My favorite would be the cappuccino popsicle but the other menu options don't disappoint. I also reccomend the Ferrero and Pistachio popsicle. Definitely a must try!

I stopped by, and the parking situation is awful,not enough parking spots for the number of businesses in this lot. Walked in, and it's pretty dark ,not enough light inside. They have many options of ice cream and Popsicles, not a wide variety of chips, but that's ok. After all, it's an ice cream shop. I would've thought the raspados would be made of natural fruits, well it's not its just flavored syrup like the one we can buy at smart&final.The trays for toppings, like candies and gummies aren't clean, and the candy looked old and hard. But wait, they also share a space inside where they sell food, tacos, burritos, etc. The place should be cleaner, especially because people eat in. The tables were dirty with trash left on it,trash on the floor, the counters were dusty. After seeing all of this ,i couldn't order anything off the menu.

We can to this Michoacana to get some Mangonada one of our favorite treat. Each Michoacana have a different appearance from the inside this one is different,you know why it have small Mexican restaurant in the Michoacana called Papa's Tacos. Very smart you lunch or dinner and you can buy dessert couple feet away. The two in one concept is good idea .

I have been here a few times and I love their pistachio popsicle. It's so good and nutty. I also love their strawberry (water and cream popsciles) flavor.
My boyfriend and I tried their buche, beef tongue, lamb, and chicharron tacos. They were all delicious. We think chicharron is the red one (in the pic) and it was pretty spicy. We also got chocolate covered strawberries with almond toppings (a few other toppings available) and they were also good. 😊😋

Location is at the corner store of the plaza.
Which is right near the entrance / exit of the 10fwy.
It can be easily missed.

I ordered an off the menu item which ended up to be over priced I think.
I wanted a fruit smoothie/shake made with raspado ice instead of the ice cream and they added the pina water. It didn't taste that good.

Overall I probably will not return. Reviewing the menu, its seems over priced.

Carnival Dessert wonderland!! Off the fwy, open late, credit card taken. They have dairy free and vegan options! $2.89 for my kiwi strawberry popsicle. Soooo much stuff. All ice cream and popsicles are made from scratch.

From scoops, popsicles, chuy mango, churros, funnel cake, juices, elote/corn, etc.

We went yesterday 1/11/25 we got funnel cake. Chamango everything was good. But when you ate the funnel cake. The after was weird i honestly think the oil was old. Do better. Its already expensive, For it to not be enjoyable.

Terrible servicio no son amables y teniendo los productos enfrente de los clientes dicen de que no hay desde el personal más antiguo el señor guillermo entrenando al personal nuevo diciéndole a los cliente que no hay solo para poder ahorrarse unos minutos más de trabajo estando a 1 hora y media de cerrar

Al igual dejando al personal nuevo con una extensa fila de clientes y el junto con otra señora platicando desde una esquina del establecimiento pasando así más de 10 minutos

The worst Michoacana I have been to. Horrible service! Lady with a an attitude face started cleaning and spraying the counters instead of helping the long line! Took almost one hour to get attended. Lastly, the music was so loud you couldn’t hear anything.

If you got a sweet tooth then you gotta handle it here. Even if you’re into savory they have real good birria. The staff are all friendly and super helpful. Claudia is always a pleasure and she knows her way around the aguas frescas so go get you one!!

Stopped in for a treat today and so glad I did! I had their fresh and delicious ice cream that’s made in house daily. I sampled several flavors which were all incredible. The staff was so nice even recommending their favorites. I can’t wait to go back and try the food!

Poor employees have to work in an 80+ degree environment. I was only in line for 10 minutes and was already getting heated. The staff was very nice and helpful though. I had the cucumber sorbet and melon sorbet. The cucumber was very flavorful and refreshing. The melon was very light in flavor in comparison but still refreshing. They have a wide variety of flavors.

Our first time visit, not a good experience, we ordered a funnel cake and a aqua she gave us the aqua, asked if we wanted everything on the funnel cake looked around and walked away , we sat there waiting for the order, way over 25 mins, till we got up to ask and to find out she never put the order in, then was told someone else who ordered way after us , that their ordered was being made , so we paid for the Aqua , wasn’t even offered an apology, just was told we should of ordered in Spanish that she didn’t speak English, needless to say we will not be back

I have been going to this Michoacana since it first opened but i hadn’t been in about 3 months.
Yesterday i decided to stop by and was so shocked by the changes/charges ? I always order the crepe and it’s always come with strawberries… however yesterday i noticed my crepe looked so empty so i asked for strawberries and banana… to my surprise they charged for the strawberry, they charged for the banana (which they normally do) and they charged for a lechera drizzle 🤣
CRAZY !
Also ordered some cheetoslocos and barely got any cueritos but SOO much sauce 😭 also the music was soooo loud you could barely hear the worker and vice versa.

The perfect Mexican restaurant!!! Amazing home cooked food served at this location. The birria tastes like God himself made it. One birria taco dorado has almost enough calories to give you energy the entire day. Why would anyone spent all day making this complicated dish when they could come here and get this exceptionally delicious, homemade taco and some homemade ice cream for under $10 and less than 30 minutes? I love this place.

Only allows me to post on this page, but honestly avoid the taco place. It’s a rip off. They charge 25 bucks for burritos the size of Taco Bell burritos and even then they come with more. Taste wasn’t there either. Not worth it.

Wish I could give them a negative rating …. We ordered for pick up, said it would take about 20 mins. No problem. Get there 20 mins after ordering and then go inside to pick it up. What, 3 people in line and they’re are 3 employees.. get to the counter and an employee tells me that my order is no where near being ready and that she is overwhelmed with orders and customers 🤷🏽‍♂️. Again 3 customers including myself and 3
Employees. Yet she to busy to give me a time and to call the customer to tell them it’s going to
Be a while.. If that was the case, for the life of me why wouldn’t you stop any more orders from coming in to catch up? If need be? The deserts are excellent, the food is very much original. The service is Excellent.
The food is traditional. You try it you will be back for more. What I like about this little restaurant they give back to the community. You must try the PaPa Tacos.

Like some of the lower reviews that have been left here, I don’t particularly think this place is that good; honestly the redeeming factors are their popsicles.

Their food here are mediocre, meat is dry, and not much flavor, do not recommend. I got the pork plate, my friends got various different kind of tacos. And all of the meats we all tried each other’s were quite disappointing. The meat is very dry.

They also forgot to make my friends order completely until we waited for a long long time and my friend went up with her receipt and he then realize that the cashier girl forgot to hand him the order receipt and it was still stuck on the receipt printer not ripped… lol like what? (And they weren’t busy)

The popsicles are a bit overpriced in my opinion too, one for $3.25~ to $3.50 with tax.

Overall pricy experience.

Honestly their popsicles are the only thing they’re truly good at making. Everything else is very mediocre that’d be ok if it was a cheap snack. But they are so overpriced as well $10 for “large” esquita, $7 for stale nachos, $2.50 for ONE Oreo. And I don’t even wanna try their tacos or burritos lol so unless it’s for the ice cream I wouldn’t really recommend

Its 8pm on a warm summer night. I come in with my pregnant wife and daughter to order ice cream and other products. They order ice cream which is great! Arroz con leche flavor is amazing kudos to La Michoacana, but thats all ive ever been impressed by in my opinion. In the last few visits ive been disappointed by other food items at their respective price point but today I had to leave a review because these nachos should be a crime. Not only did they not have Jalapeños which are quintessential to nachos, but they saturated them over some really old stale nachos. AGAIN my wife is pregnant and I was trying to satisfy her craving and keeping it local and now I'm dealing with an upset wife and ultimately sleeping on the couch tonight. Lesson learned stick to the ice cream only I'll just have to drive to east LA for other little snacks.
Oh and I also tried a burrito. It was average for the price point but you can get away with it in Alhambra

The location needs improvement. There were a ton of insects on the floor that look like they had just flown in from outside. 🤷‍♂️ Dont know if it’s the building or what. The esquite was good but i’m requesting less butter and mayo next time. My wife got the Mazapan shake. Was good. Very sugary.

Will never return, they are dirty, I was there getting icecream I saw one of the employees touching her pants and then touching the raw fruit on someone's drink !!!!! Their bathroom is also filthy, no toilet ppr. No soap, the floor dirtier then a public park bathroom, also their tajin and chamoy taste really bad it's either old or cheap or both. Also the place stinks, you open the door to enter and as if you just entered a trash basement! Very dirty and alot of unprofessional employees,

This isn’t our usual spot but it was the closest to us at the moment. The Horchata was so thick it was like an Horchata milk shake. The esquite was ok, kind of tasted oily.. the music in there felt like a club lol we looked at each other and laughed when we first walked in lol we will stick to our usual spot in whittier.

I love this place! Very affordable and great tasting treats for the whole family! They have paletas, smoothies, funnel cakes, churros, fresh, fruit, bionicos, mangonadas, and more! Great place!
I visited the Fremont location near Alhambra the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, great costumer service⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is for the tacos part and not the dessert part. It was rather dry or seem to be missing something. I ordered asada, pastor, the basics and was filling because I didn’t want to waste what I ordered. I do want to try the menudo and pozole is I could bring myself to visit again.

We decided to give the restaurant a try and were not disappointed. I ordered a pork mole, chile cheese and green chile chicken tamales as well as a taco de chicharron, all were excellent. We were surprised the tamale masa, chile and meat was so flavorful, well seasoned just like my mother's tamales...authentic! The green chile with cheese was also delicious.
