Angelo's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Very good food. I had the eggplant Parmesan, and it did not disappoint. It was very good and I would order it again. The side salad was excellent; very tasty and flavorful. The garlic cheese bread was excellent, fresh and warm. My buddy had the meatball spaghetti and he said it was very good. I ordered medium cheese pizza to take home; fresh and delicious. Also, the size was more like an extra large and a medium. And dessert was very good, I got the ice cream. The average plate is about $20 but it’s worth it. I would definitely go back for another meal.

The pizza might be really good, the pasta dishes are awful. They're equivalent to a frozen Marie Calendars meal. Big portions and staff was friendly. Just don't get the pasta.

My group of 7 ordered 2 small pizzas and chicken pasta, everything tasted wonderful! I was surprised that the small size pizza is actually more of a medium/large, they were very filling and enough for all of us. We even had take home!

Man this place use to be great and I have been coming here for years, but the serious raise in prices had me stop coming for a bit but the food was always good till the last few visits. Raised the price of the wings just for smaller pieces and to have them constantly burnt and dry with little sauce. I bring it up and they don't seem to care much. I really hope this place changes for the better one day.

We ordered to go one Sunday afternoon and were surprised at how quickly our order was ready. 20 minutes after ordering we arrived at the to go entrance in back of the restaurant and were immediately greeted by the wafting smell of baked bread. We were greeted by a server and paid and then out came our order… a few large pizzas, plates of spaghetti and meatballs, chicken fettuccini, and to round things out, and 3 salads. The pizza were piping hot and the toppings were piled high. Every bite was filled with deliciously fresh toppings and the cheese was generously streaming down the cut edges. The meatballs were the size of softballs and provided an excellent vessel for the heaping amount of sauce that smothered the perfectly al dente pasta. The fettuccini went the quickest, each seemingly endless strand of pasta. The salads were refreshing and a wonderful way to incorporate fresh textures into the meal. It had been so long since we visited and were thankful to have enjoyed such a wonderful meal on a Sunday afternoon. We look forward to returning soon!

Pizza: small 1 topping cheese and sausage

Pizza was good, nothing out of this world. Definitely big portions because I got the small for about $13 and it filled me up. The dough was flavorful, but the cheese tasted a little old and the sausage tasted frozen.

For the price, it is average. I think it would be better if the crust was thinner while the pizza was bigger.

We love Angelo's Italian Restaurant! The mozzarella sticks are fabulous... warm and gooey and sitting in their marinara sauce. The eggplant parmigiana with a side of spaghetti is my favorite, served with a salad or soup.

It’s already been 2 times that we call to place an order for one of their jumbo pizzas. We get there & no pizza, bad attention to service and you ask what they’re going to do about it & they say put a rush order but it’s going to take a while. So unreliable to order on the phone with these people & if you do make sure you keep checking in on your order so they don’t give it away. Now, I have guest in my house that would have to eat dominoes instead.

This place has really lost its soul, it is a shell of what I used to enjoy 20 years ago. I know the pandemic did not help many small businesses and this one is around due to nostalgia and not quality. I am sorry to give a not so stellar review.

My wife and I have been coming to Angelo's Italian restaurant for couple of years enjoy their pizza,pasta and salad. When we come we like to order the Margherita pizza with diced tomatoes,fresh basil and dice garlic for more intense flavors but we like our crust thin because it make the crust crispy and crunchy when you take a bite it's so good. The antipasto is really good using fresh ingredients like romaine lettuces,fresh tomatoes and ham and other ingredients. Their garlic or cheese bread is good have a good crunch. The main course the pizza nice warm and the aroma is very intense and also cheesy. The staff are very friendly alway check on you if you need anything.

Probably the best Italian food I’ve ever tried. I’m not a soup person but when I say that their soup is the best, it’s the best. The waiter was so nice and he took care of me and my parents amazingly.

Great place for Mozzarella Sticks and Veggie Lasagna. around $7-8 for 3 well made Mozzarella Sticks and Veggie lasagna was quite tasty and came with a choice of soup or salad. It was a bit pricey (around $21-22) but it is worth it in my opinion given the quantity of food and the quality.

I had not had Angelo's pizza in decades, so I thought I would see if it was still as good as I remembered. I ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeño pizza to go. It was ready when they said it would be, and a little on the high side as far as price is concerned. But it was worth it, it was a totally delicious pie. Everything was on point, the crust, sauce, and toppings. My only gripe is that they open the box to show you if it was what you ordered. Yeah, let all the heat out so it can be cold when I get home. I cannot stand when shops do that. If you've been in business for over 50 years, you should have a better method of getting an order right. Overall, outstanding pizza 🍕.

I here some people have trouble with the service. I personally have never had a problem with service and I’ve been coming here for years. And if I did who cares I’m coming here for the food not to make friends. Just because you ordered ahead and your pizza wasn’t done doesn’t mean you give them one star. Anyway the Pasta dishes are good but the PIZZA is EXCELLENT and that’s why I travel a ways and I drive past a many a pizzeria to get to Angelos, great tasting great crust great and generous fresh ingredients etc.etc. Top of the line pizza. Give it a try your palate will appreciate it.

The pizza crust was crisp and thin. Not extremely thin but it's very good. The cheese and toppings on the pizza are very delicious. The pizza came out to the table piping hot.

The waitress was quite attentive. We never had to ask her to fill a drink. I'm the 45 minutes that we were there she came over about 10 times in all. Wonderful!!

Best pizza in Los Angeles and they're in Alhambra. The restaurant is too small for my family so we order the Jumbo pizza to go. It feeds all 10 of us with a few pieces left over. We usually split up the toppings into quarters so everyone gets what they want.
It was hot and ready in 30 minutes. The left overs are even better the next day. Yum!

Original and authentic foods. Extreme flavor on pizza topping and excellent fountain root beer in a glass, rooty and smooth, foamy with no ice, excellent Salad and dressing. End of the pizza crust is tasty and can be used as bread to dip into sauce or olive oil n vinegar!

My brother treated me and my kids to a delicious pizza from Angelo’s on Friday. It was our very first time trying it. It was absolutely one of the best pizzas that I have ever eaten. With that being said, we did ask for half of the pizza to have no onions, no olives and a couple other items to be removed for the kids half and when we got home, the entire pizza was loaded with everything. The kids were not happy and would not eat it. I tried to remove all the onions, olives etc, but it proved too be very difficult as they were mixed everywhere.
Other then that… it was an amazing pizza and we will be back.

The pizza is extremely delicious. Be aware that they give you big portions even the small pizza is big enough for 4 people. Our server was nice, professional, and attentive. I recommend you at least try this place at least once and decide for yourself if it’s worth it.

Pretty good pizza. Food has a Mexican touch, the minestrone felt like a caldo. Boiled chicken in the Alfredo felt off as opposed to grilled. Everything was piping hot.

Great place. Very unassuming from the outside, but very homey once inside. Big portions for the pizza, the bambino could’ve easily fed two people. Garlic cheese bread also had good portion sizes and were very cheesy.

Very small place, seating is not very comfortable for large groups. Waitresses are hot and miss the owner is rough around the edges. Best to Oder to go. Pizza are great, the rest Is not something I would recommend.

Always the best pizza ever. We always eat the crust too! The Bambino is also a very good size for 2 people to share. Worth the price since it's not too pricey. A small pizza has 8 good slices, so enough for 3 people.

I have lived my whole life in the area (decades) and Angelo's used to be so good....what happened?!
Haven't been here in about 2 or 3 years. Ordered Chicken Alfredo thinking surely it has improved. Sadly, no. It LOOKS good, but you take a bite and there is just zero flavor. That's what I remember from before. I brought home the leftovers anyway. Warmed it up, added salt, pepper, and a little butter and it helped some.
I just know you should always taste your product before you choose to serve it to customers. Since I'm not the only one complaining about the sauce I hope Angelo's takes it to heart and tries to improve. Have a talk with the cooks, re-imagine the recipes and TASTE IT! Make sure you'd want to eat it.

Ambiance was out dated which is ok the food was awesome. The service lacked we waited to be seated at an empty table because all servers were busy. But highly recommend the food it was great. The pizza pile high and fresh, cheese bread was fabulous the mozzarella sticks were huge. A great meal solid 5 on the food overall a 4 worth going for sure
