I'd been going to the Mexican joint across the street for years and only saw this place last week, it's hard to see and the parking lot is difficult. But inside, it's a family-run place with the kitchen open to the dining area and twice the size. I'd gone in last last week for a nighttime taco snack and saw that they had legit Guadalajara-style food, including the Torta Ahogada. So I came back for lunch and ordered it. The young man asked if I wanted it spicy. Knowing that my ability to handle that has shrunk since I've become a viejo but wanted the true taste, I dithered and he said he'd put a little bit on. It was too much for this gabacho. I drank two hecho en México cokes AND four glasses of water before i asked for the cane sugar. It was traumatic! So yeah, It's a great place and even better if you can handle the heat

My husband and I tried this place for the first time today. I was VERY disappointed with my torta. Honestly the worst I've ever had. It reminded me of eating a sloppy joe. The burritos were okay. Horchata was good and people were nice but I definitely wouldn't come back.

My husband and his parents have been coming here for years. It's a family owned restaurant and they have been so kind to us all. Everything is always so delicious. The staff and everyone are always so kind. They speak English and Spanish. You always feel welcome there. I'm glad that I can go in knowing my order is always taken care of and so is my husband and the family. Everyone should come here. You won't regret it! The BEST Carne asada burrito ever! The BEST sopes ever! The BEST little carne tacos ever! They have so much more that is so good too!

Stopped by to check out this little hole in the wall, which solidifies my theory that the best restaurants are these Mom & Pop little holes in the wall. This place did not disappoint! Had the carnitas torta ahogada & fell immediately in love with this place, the flavorful torta had just enough refried beans spread on the bolillo with perfect amount of carnitas...the sauce it was set in made the total perfection, just enough spice, I would have welcomed spicier but this definitely appeased my palette for spice. Small space but clean and apparently quite popular as people came both to pick up & dine in...Gotta try their Pozole next!!

Menudo was excellent, clean and fresh, but if you like it with hominy you need to ask for it! Got it to go! Jesus the attendant was very hospitable! Will continue to go on Saturday's for menudo! Plus there menu has a variety of combo’s!

Ordered Burrito Ahogado de lengua and the meat was so soft and tender and the beans and rice in the burrito were DELICIOUS! My BF got burrito de asada and he said "When I imagine what a burrito should taste like, this is it!" High praise from a picky eater! We sat dine-in, it's a small space with about 5 tables maybe 8-10 people Max fit comfortably but it was empty when we got there. We got free chips and salsa and the salsas were sooo great! The bright red one was the best! I would definitely come eat again, food was top notch and had a good selection.

First time there, the guys there were super friendly, welcoming, and very generous. Ordered a wet burrito de adobada (marinated pork) and my girl had the torta ahogada de asada (carne asada wet burrito). It's hard to find unique places, but this here, is a hidden gem. The food was great! I Recommend ordering before hand ( but the wait isn't that bad either) Also, if you're not into spicy sauce, you can ask them to place the wet sauce on the side as we did (only for the torta as that extra sauce was spicy).

Las tortas ahogadas estás ricas pero le fallan con el bigote y la carne.. La salsa si está rica...ah y los lonches de pierna también están ricos

I’ve been here a few times and I’m always satisfied. I had tacos dorados this time and they’re like homemade. Truly delicious 😋! My son had chicken taquitos and he said, “quality food!” Fair prices, generous portions and delicious mains. The salsas are nice and they gave us four varieties...from mild to wild.

The only downside is that the rice is an afterthought. But, the mains more than make up for that.

Definitely returning and recommended.

This little gem has become our favorite go-to spot for tortas ahogadas, along with everything else on their menu. Everything tastes like home cooking! Comfort food for sure! Delicious just like my mother in law's cooking! We usually get it togo but they have a small seating area if you want to eat there. They take credit card with is a plus! Definitely check this place out if you're in the area or just craving home cooked Mexican food!

The food was good the prices are reasonable. Great customer service. Very small location wouldn't recommend to eat there if your a large group. I didn't see any restrooms. Would stop by again if I'm around the area. 😁
