I came on Christmas Eve, the sign said closed at 4:30 pm. It was 3:30 and the employee was unapologetic in saying you're closed. I've had too many bad experiences at your restaurant unfortunately.

Also, one of the women (glasses) at the pick up counter is always rude. I'm the type of person to always say please and thank you. She has outright ignored me and made me feel non-existent/unappreciated on more than one occasion.

Just not the best option for Mexican food. Sorry tried this place twice with several months in between. Lacking real authentic Mexican flavor. Salsa was good and it's really what saved the meal.

Breakfast burrito was disappointing. Ordered extra meat with avocado. Had high expectations but was a basic burrito. Extra meat and was regular size in comparison to other burritos I’ve had. Salsa is good but still didn’t make my opinion change on the burrito. Some small amount of meat was chewy and beans were a lil dry. Overall C rating for this burrito.

First time to this place. Read about 7 reviews and I always give it a chance. It’s always a different day and something is always happening with us humans. Don’t recommend chilaquiles they are just like nachos. I’ll try their tacos next time.

I’ve been a regular at Spanglish Kitchen and their food has always been decent. However, their customer service leaves much to be desired, and this last experience sealed my decision not to return.
This afternoon, I ordered a Spanglish burger and a beef enchilada. I parked right in front of the store and waited. After 45 minutes, I still hadn’t received my order, though I could see the staff busy preparing large catering trays for a truck pickup. After finally asking about my food, I was informed—only then—that they had run out of burger buns and hadn’t even started my enchilada order. Meanwhile, a woman who came after me, along with others, got their orders before mine.
After waiting in vain for any updates, the gentleman who seemed to be the owner or manager offered to replace my burger with something else and asked the staff to prepare it. Yet, even after he left, I waited another 10–15 minutes with no progress. Frustrated and disappointed by the complete lack of communication and courtesy, I ultimately asked for a refund and left.
I had once been a loyal customer, but the poor handling of this situation and their disregard for customer service has changed that. Spanglish Kitchen has lost a regular due to their lack of respect for their patrons.

Review №18

Absolutely No Respect for Customers!

I waited 45 minutes for a simple burger and fries at Spanglish Kitchen, only to be completely ignored and disrespected. I parked right at the entrance, visible to the staff, and it was clear they knew I’d ordered. Meanwhile, I watched them prioritize a large catering order and serve other customers promptly within 5-10 minutes.

For 45 minutes, no one even bothered to check on me, offer an apology, or update me about my order. Finally, after all that time, they casually told me they couldn’t make my order because they ran out of burger buns. No heads-up, no apology, just pure disregard.

This kind of disrespect is unacceptable, and it’s clear that Spanglish Kitchen doesn’t value the time or experience of individual customers. Very disappointed.

Great Mexican food corner spot in Alhambra. Menu is not huge, which is ideal for a great lunch spot (no need for big menu). I've tried their burritos, tacos, tortas, huaraches, sopes, and enchiladas .. And all are delicious. (they also have breakfast items before 11:30am). The spot is popular during lunch, so expect a 10 min wait for your tasty meal.

My friend recommended this spot and it definitely hit the spot for lunch.

I ordered their rib eye taco and their Spanglish buger in a lettuce wrap. The taco was phenomenal and had the right amount of seasoning, cooked perfectly and a good amount of meat pieces. The burger was excellent also and it was very flavorful and the chips were phenomenal.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

Ordered my "go to" for breakfast which is Chilaquiles, I asked for scrambled eggs be included no meat addition. What I got was some chips with some diced tomato, a miniscule of queso fresco crumble, and a tiny drizzle of sour cream...as for the eggs I only identified 2 bits of egg, not enough to be a whole egg, I kid you not! Worst Chilaquiles plate bar none, the saving grace here was the habanero salsa on the side was pretty good & the sope was okay but not so.much I would come back...very disappointed 😔

Asada tacos were okay, I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. I also had the asada burrito. About halfway through the burrito I noticed a strange taste. Egg. I thought it was just a piece of egg that got mixed in accidentally. Nope… it was at least 1 whole scrambled egg lining the inside of the burrito, haven’t seen that before. Once I scooped it out It made up about a third of the protein and I noticed very little rice and beans… I don’t know if it’s supposed to be like that,… but it’s not described on the menu like that,… and that’s what I don’t appreciate… I don’t think I’ll be going back.

They got a pass the first time they did this, but the second time almost felt intentional. there were about 6 pieces of hominy when I brought it home (worse than the first time!) . it was very convenient for me to go here as I live fairly close but I will no longer be giving this place any business.
