We tried a bunch of plates out between all the family, some plates we tried out were the am chowder, calamari rings, fish and chips, pulled pork sliders, sweet potato fries, asada fries and more I cannot remember the names of, but I did take pictures for your convenience. I also have all beers from the tap in pictures and videos.
Overall, we were satisfied with service and portions that are OK for the prices.
The staff was super friendly and quick, so I'd recommend you guys try them out.

Good place for drinks and food. A good place for groups or a casual date. The food is a nice variety. Elevated bar food in my opinion. There's plenty of seating inside with some TVs so it's a good spot to watch a game. For happy hour they have $2 off select beers/drinks. There's a free parking structure down the street.

Friendly staff from the moment my wife and I walked into the restaurant. The greeters did a great job of making us feel welcome. That continued with our waitress (Leeeee) who answered our questions and told us what she thought was good. The food was well prepared and tasted very good. I got the brisket sandwich and my wife the backyard burger. Both were very good. Loved the music! The owner behind the bar was playing some eighties toons that I had not heard for a long time. Also, I observed multiple customers tell him (the owner) hello when they arrived and goodbye when they left. I feel like this is a place that has many repeat customers. Very good vibe! There are ample TV's to watch the games as well. If you are looking for a sports bar with good eats, a well trained staff, and plenty of TV's, this is the place to go. We loved this place and highly recommend it!

Came here for drinks with a friend while waiting for some more friends to arrive for burgers at Grill Em All. I had the pineapple whiskey sour. She had the guava whiskey sour. Both were good, but the pineapple, in particular, really stood out.

Went back after Grill Em All, with our friends for round 2. The staff are quick and friendly, and the drinks went down well. We split some fries with drinks, for round 2, and they were good and arrived fast, with our drinks.

I'll definitely come back for more of that cocktail when I visit the area for more \m/ burgers.

This was a nice experience for my group of four. We went in and were immediately greeted by a friendly server who was eager to seat us. The buffalo and honey chipotle wings were great! The sliders were a little lackluster, but that didn't take anything away from the experience. The beer selection was great and they know how tk make a cocktail if that's your jam. Also, garlic paste was great! :) We'll be back.

2. Regarding the tasting, there are 4 small cups, and the price is higher than the other store. The other store is about 7 to 8 dollars for 4 cups, but this one is basically 12 dollars for four cups, but be sure to check the price clearly. , some are cheap and some are expensive, but after all I have said, they are all the same price. I will take a look at each cup. Is it the most important thing to drink comfortably?

3. As for eating once before, I was full of three mobao. This time I wanted to taste it again, so I asked for help. But when I got to the dining table, I was very disappointed because the portion was too small.
I won’t suggest calling it this. The average price is five yuan each. You can take a look.

This is my favorite go to spot for a delicious meal. With the wide variety of beer on tap , I always see my self coming back here for a great time . We have had excellent service here everytime we have gone. This last visit was especially appreciated due to Stephany's over the top service. She accommodated my family's seating outside with our two dogs. It had been an exhausting, stressful day but she literally turned it around for us with excellent food and drink suggestions, impeccable service and kindness.

New to the establishment, so I've only gotten a first impression. Staff is aware and attentive- service is prompt, accurate and friendly.
Next visit will include a food review.
Also, for places to enjoy a meal, hang out with friends, plan s date, watch sporting events, or have a tete-a-tete, 38 is a good place.

38 degree ale house is one of the more popular American Bar food style and one of the place that is more visited and popular for its atmosphere, food, and drinks.
its one of the more go to spots compare to the local bar around, and the price is average for a bar.

there is local parking and street parking to the area. their food its memorable, as its just kind of like all other American bar food, fast food kind of situation.

the service is great, but slightly slow, place is slightly noisy, do have a bar area if you are feeling like going to just the bar vs sit down. since this is one of the more popular spots in SGV for American bar type, if my friends are ever feeling this type of hangout, this is the place i would bring them, they also have sports game on as well for people to watch

13 dollars for a basic whiskey Coke. At a plain bar that has a few TVs. What are we in, Hollywood? Nah, Alhambra. Literally twice as much for a drink as the dance club in Long Beach.

We were a group of 8, we had the best service. Our drinks and appetizers came immediately at almost the same time and the food was great everything well cooked didn't taste like canned food, they have a great variety of beers and mixed drinks plus the music that they play makes it all so good together.I am coming back to taste something else. I recommend this place. A big 10 for this restaurant.

guys.. this place was so unbelievably fire. mac and cheese is something every restaurant should be able to make but this place goes above and beyond, i'm telling you. ordered the 38 degree burger medium rare, perfectly cooked and sooooo delicious. we also tried the banh mi taco and the pulled pork taco- unreal. even got the brussel sprout taco just for fun? probably the best thing we ordered, not gonna lie. went to sleep that night dreaming of the alcoholic sparkling lavender lemonade.

This a must go to once per month. Great atmosphere and service. I recommend all the appetizers. The salmon or meatloaf are my top 2 entrees. Fudge brownie is a must. Skip the bread puddings. Great place to take a group of friends.

Number one Lee was our server. She is awesome. Number 2 the hot pastrami sandwich was probably the best pastrami sandwich I will ever have in my life. It was absolutely delicious, taste excellent tender awesome.. last time we came in we had the beef brisket and pastrami plate which was tender smoky and awesome. I can’t recommend this place enough !!!

Tried to catch the afternoon games and 38 degrees fits the bill. Reasonably priced, on top of your sports games, great service makes 38 degrees an excellent choice. Although I dont drink beer, it looked like they had plenty oh choices.

I do however consistently make poor dietary choices and 38 eagerly obliged. I had the mushroom flat bread with arugula. Great choice and great location

We were so surprised to find there was no wait for a table at 38 Degrees on a Friday night, but we were really glad for it.

We were greeted warmly, the noise level was just right in the restaurant, and the menu has lots of variety without being overwhelming.

The staff was super friendly and offered great recommendations that were spot on. Our server said "you need the Philly Argentine sandwich in your life," and he was so right! It had just the right level of seasoning and was STUFFED with beef. Juicy, tender beef in a lightly toasted bun with a touch of chimichurri aioli...I'll be coming back for that again, though the rest of the menu is really tempting, too.

My husband loved his ratatouille sandwich. More than a basic garden sandwich, this was oozing with pesto, cheese, and garlic aioli melding with veggies hot off the grill - everything we love about a chicken pesto sandwich, except I think chicken would've gotten in the way of the flavors, tbh. I'm not a vegetarian, but I'd order this sandwich in a heartbeat. I had a bite and almost kept the rest for myself.

The beer was cold, the cider was bubbly, and the Oaxaca Old Fashioned was smoky, deep, and richly flavored.

The beer cheese nachos were also pretty great, because how can you go wrong with beer cheese and pickled jalapenos? :)

Huge portions, fantastic service, really yummy comfort food. The only thing that could've made this better would be to have retro movies playing on some of the TVs.

The beef brisket is sooooo good that I don't want to order anything else. But friends always rave about what they order too, so I assume everything is pretty good. But the brisket has always been perfect for me. It may not be the best in the world, but it's good enough to be considered "good grub" for sure.

38 Degrees has the greatest beer selection, and also the best clam chowder around!!! Chowder only on Fridays through Sundays. Amazing drink mixologists, and delicious food to match! The service from Charlie, Lee, Stephanie and Angel is excellent. I love this place!

Somewhere between under and adequately rated, this establishment is a staple with a huge selection of great options to eat and drink. In a cliche, there's something for everyone. I think that's OK and you should too if you like a no frills top notch friendly service experience with great value for the quality. Get the meat loaf.

I cannot rave enough about 38 degrees Ale House. This has become a new favorite dinner location for us when we visit Los Angeles for a monthly visit to USC Keck.
The host is so welcoming and friendly,only a few visits and he remembers us. He gives fabulous recommendations for meals and beers. The beer menu is absolutely incredible! He knows the menu quite well and is committed to creating a pleasant experience. There is a great deal of knowledge of the notes of each beer as well. So you'll have no problem picking some favorites.
We love dark beer and have tried some phenomenal brews during our visits!
The menu is ample with many options, the burger is absolutely incredible! Blue cheese and aioli is a delicious combination.
We've been there when it's quiet and quiet busy,but service is consistently remarkable.
There is bar seating,group seating and couples.
The play list is always great and it's an enjoyable atmosphere.
Hands down one of our new favorite places to visit while on LA area.
Thank you for creating such an incredible menu and environment.

Came for bar food and cocktails, and we were pleasantly surprised. The buffalo wings were good but the chipotle honey wings were amazing. The Philly Argentine was a very satisfying slightly upscale version of a Philly cheese steak. The cocktails were also good, and they were $2 off because we went during their surprisingly wide cocktail hours. Will definitely come back to try some more of the menu

The ribs were horrible as if they were just fried in the fryer ..super dry..the server was great and the drinks were delicious..if they offer a BBQ plate I believe they should focus on freshness and deliver a fresh plate of food ...that was not the case ..I suggest to avoid the food

Got the tacos (I think they were $2-$3 each. My friend paid) and the fish ones were sooo good!!! I tried the smoked chicken and it was ok. Fish is the way to go!!
Warning: there is spice on the tacos but it was kinda dry without it (we ordered a second round without the hot sauce cause we weak).

Their fries are delicioussss!! Especially the sweet potato and ESPECIALLY the garlic aioli sauce!!! 😋😋😋

The ribs were pretty good but a LITTLE dry.

I ordered the strawberry cocktail and it was not sweet enough (but not bad).

The service was pretty good and they were friendly. Only a few times we had to flag ‘em down. But it was busy, so understandable.

Def would come back for the happy hour tacos and fries 😃😃

When I read Jeff Cruz’s review deeming the food “elevated bar food”, I was a little skeptical as to the quality of what I would be ordering. But I was really pleasantly surprised by the unique flavors and wonderful presentation, even though the atmosphere is decidedly more casual with the general vibe of a sports bar and all the TVs around the restaurant. I for one enjoyed the fact that I could find great food, beer, and watch the game all at the same time. When I went on a Wednesday evening it wasn’t too busy and the servers frequently checked to make sure we were happy and to ask if we needed anything. Overall, great food, awesome service, and good atmosphere, even if it can be loud sometimes.

Recommended to me by my old Band director at the local highschool. Vouched for the garlic fries (they use FRESH garlic, get ready for that BITE!)

If the photos actually uploaded in order, they are the buttermilk fried chicken, 3 meat bbq tray(brisket, pastrami, pulled pork) w/ side of coleslaw & mashed potatoes, poutine fries, 2 meat bbq tray (brisket & pastrami) w/ side of mashed potatoes & mac, beer flight (bartenders choice), buck cherry, and lastly the bbq pork sliders. Also ordered pork ribs but forgot to take a photo.

Great friendly service! Chill atmosphere, great place for food and drinks.

Meat trays are definitely worth it. The pulled pork was a smidge dry though. The other selections were significantly more juicy. Should split this someone unless you plan on taking some home.
Coleslaw had some spice to it. Very complimentary. Mashed potatoes needed an extra "umph". Something like garlic or ever fresh pepper can bring it up a level.

I'm told the poutine fries were good from my friend that ordered them. Didn't get a chance to try any as they demolished the plate! Must've been good!

Mac was great, definitely a solid choice!

Their sauce definitely makes an improvement to everything.

Drinks were great.

Loved the pork ribs but everyone else thought they were dry. Maybe they got bad ribs because the ones I tried were pretty juicy(I ate them late too). It's also possible that they might have just been expecting a saucey rib rather than a dry rub rib.

The buttermilk chicken was decent, that garlic sauce definitely brought it up a level! Y'all need a Nashville style one too!

Overall a great experience and awesome food. Definitely a step up from the last time I came. Will be back for sure!

Very fun experience. The food was prepared quickly and fresh. The atmosphere is great. TVs on every wall and a very friendly staff. Would go here again.

This place has the best taco Tuesday anywhere in the LA . I couldn't believe I could get the quality of taco I got for 2 dollars. These are without question, the best 2 dollar tacos in Los Angeles. I'm almost afraid to reveal such a discovery, but the goodness in me mustv share.

Bar trifecta: beer menu listed on Untappd, allows for small (5oz) pours, and excellent selection. Very pleased in particular that they carried Pliny The Elder.

This is an awesome place for some craft beer and to grab a bites. They also have a lots of TVs, prefect for game day.

Jason our bartender was very professional and attentive. His drink recommendations were spot on and he regularly checked with us. Highly recommend this bar and the food was delicious and fresh which you rarely find at bars. Thanks Jason !!

I liked their beer selection! I had a Claremont craft sour beer and it was delicious! The beer cheese nachos, on the other hand, were a bit odd. The cheddar cheese didn't really mesh well with the beer cheese. It was half liquid cheese and half grated which wasn't my personal favorite combo. The chips were crispy and the beer cheese was tasty though!
