I came on a Sunday hoping to study. The place seems really popular because there was a line for the whole hour that I spent here. I got a Blueberry slushy and I liked it. I just wish that there was more than one bathroom, but other than that it’s really cute and I see myself coming here during the week to study…definitely not on the weekend though lol

Ordered the Lychee Matcha Tea. Very refreshing and strikes a nice balance of sweet and matcha. There are tiny lychee jelly bits but not many within the drink so add toppings if you want more accessible toppings to drink with. Parking may be a struggle around downtown Alhambra. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Often, indoor seating is occupied by people studying so spaces fill up fast. The interior is nicely decorated and feels quite cozy with warm color tones and yellow light.

One time I asked I would like the food in a to-go box since I might have left over. He handed the food to me in a bag and said that is "to-go". Another time I was trying to be respectful and handed the payment card to him, he did make my stupidity (I know, at this day and age) well-understood by waving his head toward the card reader.

When I want a really good Matcha Latte I go here. The Matcha Latte is comparable to Caffè Al Teatro in Las Vegas at The Wynn. I have been searching for a place here in SoCal that compares and I’m happy to say that I have found it. Service is 4 stars because the customer behind me wanted some of the food options they offered but they were either sold out or don’t offer it at the time of day when O had visited. The atmosphere looks cool nice, I’ll have to dine in one of these days to really enjoy what this place offers.

The iced matcha was not good - soo much milk and very sweet. It was also super warm and took almost an hour to get cold from the ice which was not ideal for my long drive. I’m sure their other items are good since they have high ratings

This place is very cozy. The decor gives off welcoming vibes. Perfect place to study on your own or with a study group while you munch on fries or fried mushrooms. However, double check the chair you sit on. My chair was bit wobblely so I got a different one.

Solid spot for popcorn chicken. I used to love getting popcorn chicken at places like Quickly and Lollicup, but they just aren't the same anymore. You can even adjust the spicy level. The popcorn chicken even has basil!

The drinks here are pretty solid as well. The green milk tea is fragrant. I got half sugar the other day, and it still tasted pretty sweet to me.

The service is good. They offer you a paper menu to browse instead of staring up at the wall blankly. It is helpful that they have a list of top ten drinks because their menu is indeed extensive. It's hard to choose what to get.

Wifi is free. Plenty of tables inside for studying. Parking is free and plentiful in the parking lot across the street. They do have a few spots on the street adjacent to the building, but they're usually taken.

Food and desserts are good, but please explain to me why on a Monday with no other customers did it take 30 to make a teriyaki chicken rice bowl ? 😓 there were at least 4 ppl working there. Plus I asked for a coffee and red velvet macaroon, cashier proceeds to repeat my order back to me correctly, then grabs me a chocolate and red velvet macaroon lol

Not bad, love the drink, like the food.
But the seating area lacks some A/C.
On that topic, air circulation could be improved in that area. With no built in vents, I recommend portable units to assist air circulations.

Had Hokkaido Milk Tea and Green Tea Matcha Slush with Red Bean. Just the drinks alone, they were average. However, I would suggest trying the milk tea with half sugar. Comparing theirs to Suntory Milk Tea, it was tongue-numbingly heavy in sweetness for me.

Great spot for studying, Chicken pesto sandwich is tasty and worth the price, had the milk slush w/honey and Boba pudding interesting flavor but a delicious treat. Atmosphere is quaint and lovely- please purchase something to support the local businesses.

Sunday is for brunch and bubblescapades. Bon Appeatea Café is a small charming cafe that serves bubble and milk teas, sandwiches. salads and macarons. They’re located on Main street and Second ave in Alhambra. I arrived and was perfunctorily greeted by a female staff. I perused their menu and ordered a Tuna melt and Passion Fruit Tea. Indoor vibe was relaxing and it has a charming interior design. Moreover, they have a small street outdoor patio if you want fresh air. My Tuna Melt sandwich was warm and delicious; nothing out of the extraordinary in taste. Salad was fresh and tasty. Passion fruit tea was cold and refreshing; perfect for a hot Sunday. Prices were fair and they offer a free Wifi. Plenty of surrounding parking lots. Overall, it’s was a good brunch with good service. I recommend this charming cafe.

I had an open face egg salad sandwich with truffles. The bread was very good. The taste of the egg salad wasn't what I expected but..... I don't know truffles. The customers and atmosphere were safe and friendly feeling. The small dining area needs to be refreshed.

This is one of my fave tea/coffee spots in Alhambra and really of all time. I was back in town so of course I had to stop in and get my fave iced almond latte with soy milk. Soo good! I've also had their fruit teas, they are delicious. They put actual fruit peaces in them, the mango black tea is soo good! My friend loves their rose milk tea. It's a really cute atmosphere also, great for studying. They were open indoors when I went this last weekend 7/18/21. I also love their vanilla iced latres with soy, I've tried most flavors. Their fried tofu is also really good along with their fries, when they ask spicy or not, just know spicy is spicy. I always ask for just a little.

Came here for a quick snack and it was worth it. I ordered the popcorn chicken and fries they both tasted fresh. The brown sugar slush is what i think its called and that blew my mind it was a perfect pair with the fries and popcorn chicken.

The wait time is usually 10-20 minutes depending on what you order. The chicken pesto basil sandwich is really good. The milk tea bobas are delicious. You can get 25%, 50%, and 75% sweetness. The macaroons are delicious. The popcorn chicken is delicious and you can get it spiced up to your liking.

This has always been my go-to spot for the past few years when I’m in the area or attending Gallery Nucleus events. Staff is always polite & attentive, the sea salt foam drinks are amazing, and the sandwhiches always hit the spot. I definitely recommend checking them out

My friend and I stopped and had some popcorn chicken. It was DELICIOUS!!! We got med spicy and regular. They both were great. Next time I would like to try the extra spicy. I would definitely love to go back.

Cashier is so rushed. Already took money & order when I was getting change to get whole dollars back, and ended up with so many pennies and nickels. Seriously? She was too busy counting the change to hear or see me for the change. Then, when she was done counting, she closed the register, and handed the money over. I put my wallet away. I don't get what's the rush. Honestly, the cashiers at McDonald's and Starbucks gives you more time to order than this one.

Then after waiting like 8 minutes, already, let us know that they ran out of boba. It would take 30 mins. Couldn't you check before hand?
Legit, with all her running around and speed, it looks like she was on top of things but she wasn't. Don't think I'm coming here again.

My fiance and I had seen this place a few times while walking around downtown Alhambra, but we finally decided to give it a try today on our way home from grocery shopping. It did not disappoint! The earl grey sea cream tea had a perfect creamy texture and flavor, and the sweetness level was just right for me. We also got the fried tofu and it was amazing! They made it to order and it was piping hot when it got to us. With the crispy outer layer dipped in the tangy sauce they gave us, it was a pleasure to the mouth. It was so tempting to gobble it up quickly, but be careful of burning your tongue!

The wait was a bit on the longer side, but there was a large group before us and, like I mentioned, they cooked the tofu to order. The drink came out pretty quickly.

They have you order at a table inside and wait for your food outside on the sidewalk. Everyone was wearing masks and they provided hand sanitizer. Only extra step I wish they had taken was not requiring a signature using the same pen everyone else touched.

I will definitely be headed here again next time I need a tea fix!

We just ordered a waffle and drinks and everything was delicious. There drink sizes are really big so keep that in mind. Great chill place and very friendly staff. We also ordered some garlic fries and they serve it in a cone with long toothpicks so you don't get your fingers messy. Will definitely be back.

Come here couples time for snacks after work. It is cozy place for people studying but sometimes gets crowded because it is nearby high school. It has very good and fresh popcorn chicken in my opinion. Also, it has good milk tea selection but tea selection can be improved because it is a little bit light. It doesn't have parking itself so need to parking on the street.
Overall, it is a good place to get some snacks and milk tea here for to go or study inside of the store.

I came in here today to order some food, which ended up just being their Sundried Tomato & Pesto Chicken Panini. It was mediocre- more chicken salad sandwich than sundried tomatoes and pesto. They skimped on the tomatoes and the flavor of the pesto was barely there.

Anyway, the reason for the one-star is simple: I was surcharged $0.50 to pay with my card. The last time I checked, it's actually illegal to surcharge debit cards, regardless of whether they're processed as credit or debit. Both Visa and MasterCard outlaws the use of surcharges when merchants use their service.

Businesses do not get to pass on the fees of electronic transactions to their customers- it's not only unfair but just gross practice. The fact that consumers use their cards to pay YOU is a favor they're doing FOR YOU as it allows you to get money from them. The use of surcharges is unattractive and a deterrent. I will not give my money to companies who think they should pass on the cost of doing business onto their customers.

I'm contacting my card issuer and reporting Bon Appetea for this practice.

Tea and boba were good. If you like chrysanthemum tea, give their chrysanthemum milk tea a shot!! I haven't found it offered elsewhere but it's quite good. I didn't really like their food lol but I don't really expect a place to have good boba, tea AND food in general?

Bon Appetea is a cozy spot just off Main Street. I heard about it through the Taste of Alhambra event and met with friends to eat different small plates and chat for a good long while. The small plates were good. A lot of the seating was taken up by individuals who sat at tables that couldn't accommodated more people.

Both of our teas were over brewed, but what was the disappointment was the service. The guy at the counter tried to tell me that matcha is traditionally sweet and that there's a debate over what is really matcha, the sweet kind or the bitter. Uhm... speechless. Place is cute and after school there's a student discount.
