Snug, cash-only Vietnamese counter serve specializing in BBQ meat sandwiches & traditional sides.
Banh Mi My Tho is a real treat! The banh mi has the perfect crunch, and the pickled veggies give it a nice, tangy kick. Planning to eat later? Just let the staff know, and they’ll keep the pickles and veggies separate so everything stays fresh for you.
Their Broken Rice (Com Tam) is also a must-try—great portions at a good price. Since it gets busy, I’d recommend calling in your order to save time. And trust me, you don’t want to miss the Vietnamese Condensed Milk Coffee (Ca phe sua da). It’s the perfect match for the banh mi!
Though it’s mainly a takeout place, you’ve got options: enjoy your food at the little tables out front or head to a nearby park for a mini picnic.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. It is one of my favorite banh mi places!!
Plenty of parking but the line is always SUPER long!!! I recommend ordering ahead (you still have to stand in the same line which is stupid but at least you don’t have to wait for your food to be made).
Prices are reasonable and the sandwiches and spring rolls are soooo good!
I usually get #8 the grilled pork sandwich. And the pork spring rolls (SO good, especially with the sauce)!!
There is no dine in, the place is super tiny and cramped. It’s all to go!

I give it four stars for atmosphere because I like the store front, cash-only, take it to go feel of this place. My favorite bahn mi place. Other stuff is good here too, like the cam tho to go and the meat balls on skewers and the the great condiments for sale. I go here usually when I go to my mechanics, Tommy's Shell, and list time I was there I ran into him here. I usually get the steamed meatball or the thit nuong but really I don't think you can go wrong.

Hands down the best Vietnamese sandwich in Southern California. Before I came to this sandwich shop, I thought I had my best banh mi at Banh Mi Cali in Rosemead. I have to tell you, this place has the best and most authentic Banh Mi sandwiches in the San Gabriel valley. As some of the yelp reviewers indicated that the Banh mi here reminded them of Vietnam. I have to agree. The taste of sandwiches are fantastic. I feel they are in par with the ones made in Saigon during my last year’s trip there. That’s why I was not surprised with the guy standing next to me in line telling me that he had come from Santa Monica to wait in line for the sandwich.
For those of you wanting to have a true experience of Vietnam Banh Mi, I highly recommend to get #8. The meat is tender and tasty. The sauce and pickle vegetables enhance the Banh mi flavor.
Craving for egg rolls? They have one of the best in town. The price is cheap. Get a dozen for lunch for your kids or yourself. This is a great side appetizer to go with the sandwich. Don’t forget to ask for a small cup of fish sauce to dip the egg rolls in.
The owner was nice and kind. She was very efficient getting our order done. She has an amazing memory. She knows exactly what we ordered.

First time visiting this place, we were so amazed by the Banh Mis!!!
We have the house special and the beef one... Both are super delicious! They are just different than any other Banh Mis we have tried!
The cold cut itself, sauce, the pork and beef are very well flavoured!
The only thing that caught us 4 were the hot peppers... We suffered a bit from that... Would definitely ask for less or not to have any at all...!
The Banh Mis were so good that we finished 2 in 5 minutes... And craved to buy more immediately!
I wouldn't mind to have this every breakfast, that would be such a pleasant way to start a day!

Amazing banh mi! Nowhere to sit down inside, and there’s hardly any space to wait either. They do have an automated call system so you don’t have to worry about not hearing their voice calling out your number. Banh mis are now 7 dollars plus tax. Still very good and worth it. Most important: cash only.

Recently came home from a trip to Vietnam, we were comparing every banh mi we had to My Tho and she always came out on top. Super fresh bread, herbs, and a generous amount of protein. Also probably the cheapest banh mi you can get outside of VN. Do keep in mind that it is cash only and closes daily at 4pm.

I felt their Sandwiches were a bit over rated, and over priced, 7$ for a relatively crusty baguette roll (expected fresher) also felt the actual baguette roll was TOO BIG for the sandwich, causing the ratio of bread to sandwich components to be off, I like the other nearby locations better, better value and better flavor imho. the Ham also seemed to me to be too fatty.

I’ve never cared much for their super flaky breads n cardboard dry toppings (need sauce n tomatoes). But their prices were p low n toppings were full I visited occasionally when I was nearby to support hardworking people. However after the new year I noticed their prices increase 25-30% n toppings become less too.
Also the old woman cashier always had no problem cutting me off (after I called to order 30 mins ago n waited in line for 10 mins to pickup) to call others 1st who ordered after me n didn’t wait in line. Talking about low EQ n disrespectful. This is not the 1st time she done this to me. And she knows exactly what she’s doing. Other customers had no idea how they were being saved 3 mins coz the woman didn’t like me. But it was a very unpleasant experience. Maybe I go back someday when she’s gone. For now there are tons of better places like Hue Thai, Mr Baguette (and I know my food) etc within 3 mile radius. Bye My tho with the mean spirited cashier!

My husband and I try all of the different bánh mì places in San Gabriel Valley. The sandwiches here are a great although I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily the absolute best, they’re definitely top-tier what I really liked with some of the other stuff they offered like the pork meatballs, and some of the other skewer items. It reminds me of the food I ate growing up in Thailand, and I really love the southeast Asian food it’s very authentic and taste great.

DISCLAIMER: I love mom and pop shops.
This place is located inside a really small lot. FYI it is a bit hard to find from the street. But if you are around during the day, this place closes pretty early, then stop by. They got some good sammies. I had accidentally stumbled upon them when my regular viet hangout ran out of eggrolls.
Let's get down to business.
GRILLED PORK SPECIAL
Now this is a good sandwich. It has some sweet aftertaste but it is definitely delicious. KNOCK OUT! I will always order this sandwich when I have time on a lunch break. They do have jalapenos sometimes they just don't put them in unless you ask for it. I love that the have daikon in their house salad for the sandwiches. A lot of places now have taken them out to lower costs but having only shredded pickled carrots just isn't the same.
CHARBROILED BEEF
This is similar to the pork special sandwich however it isn't as tender of a meat. Maybe because it is beef I don't know. It was just a little tough to chow down on at times.
EGG ROLLS
One of my favorite things ever. I have an addiction. I will order twenty of these and just munch on them as if they were French fries throughout the day. They always have fresh piping hot ready to eat egg rolls. They do not come with fish sauce so order it if you like to dip like I do. Understand that you aren't getting served in restaurant with the sides of veggies to wrap. You are paying for each one. Go buy some vegetables if you want to wrap.
ICE COFFEE
The go to drink is the ice coffee. It is not overly sweet and it definitely has a nice kick to it. Nice pick me up.
THAI TEA
I am unfortunately not a fan of their thai tea. It isn't really sweet, they have to put some half and half in it or something. I wish it was better.
BAGUETTES
They don't have the two foot long crispy baguettes like Mr. Baguette but it isn't bad. Grab some if you want to make some sandwiches during the week.
ALL IN ALL
Come in and grab something for a quick fix to your Vietnamese food craving if you are around. Just be aware that this place is a really small shop. Sometimes the wait is long sometimes it is super quick but there just isn't a lot of waiting room. So you will have to just wait outside. They will holler for you when order is ready!

Like they say, early bird catches the worm! We were here quite early around 715am and yes even at that time there was a line. The lady in front of me ordered maybe 6-8 sandos, I only wanted two and because of her order I had to wait 15-20 mins, I heard the shop owner call out her number and I thought mine would’ve been ready since I was standing there patiently, I was surprised when I noticed she gave me the bag that was sitting here before the other person w a large order got hers? Why would she do that when my order was ready? How long was it there? Nonetheless, I was disappointed knowing I could’ve been on my way a while ago….
Try not to eat the sando in the car because damn crumbs were all over the place! But overall, the flavor and taste of the combo sando was delish, too bad they don’t add jalapenos in them. I prefer their other location but this wasn’t bad since I was already in the area!
Lets talk about the sando – Fresh, crunchy and flavorful. All the cold cuts were tasty especially with the house-made egg yolk mayo! Cilantro always brings out the herbaceous freshness, crunch from the cuke, pickled daikon and carrots and the pate pulls all the flavor together.

Found this place with high reviews on Google and wanted to try out. It may have been an unlucky day for me as I had to get a refund without receiving my order. I placed an order ahead of many others and they all received their orders. I gave it more time as they seemed busy, but as the 40 minute mark hit for my 2 banhmi I thought it was getting ridiculous. They looked at my order and said sorry we ran out of bread, but we can take out the big order and give you but it won't be your meat you ordered. Well of course not, I ordered my specific items because I don't eat beef. Thought that was very unprofessional and didn't make sense as they were serving up orders.

Easily one of the best bang mi sandwiches in the SGV. This trip I tried the combo #2 and #4 which is chicken. I also tried the fried butter chicken on this trip and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Flavors were there, but chicken was tough and a bit chewy. Also the wait was worse than usual, probably due to the chicken taking some time which is not the issue I get freshly made food takes time. It was the toughness of the meat. Never really experience that with chicken. Also not fried. Looked more baked than fried. Anyway, sandwiches were still bomb and prices very reasonable.
Pro tip: call ahead if you can. Especially if you order something from the menu other than a bang mi as it will take a little extra time.

I called to place my order 3 days in advanced, then called again on the day of to confirm my order. It's a big order of 25 sandwiches and 25 spring rolls. When I came to pick up on the time we agreed , nothing was made. Not a single one and the lady told me because they were too busy, if I still want to have the order, I will need to wait 30 mins, or I just can leave. What an excuse! This place is totally unorganized. If I have to wait half an hour in the store, why would I need to call them in advance. And their food is just so so, nothing special than other places. I just ordered from them because it's close to my event venue. But I will definitely not going back to this place.

I had the charbroiled pork sandwich, it was really delicious. The bread was crunchy and the pork flavor was well balanced. I would also recommend getting the meatballs (expect a little sweet but I liked it) and the egg rolls (pork), so tasty and goes well with white wines.
I just found out they also have a store in Rosemead, maybe I will give it a try next time as they have seatings.
I would suggest to shorten the wait time by either setting up an online order system instead of answering calls or hire a part time to take orders, mom seems to be overwhelmed with all the calls which created a much longer wait time for those customers waiting in line outside.
Shout out to mom and dad for the hard work and delicious food that they are bringing to the community.

Their mini flour cake is cute and taste good too. I saw a lot of people buy their coffee but I am not Vietnamese coffee lover. You can have a try.
Price: 5 stars. It is friendly. We bought 5 sandwich and 1 bag of mini flour cake like $32 for 6 people. Definitely very cheap Togo food for a lunch. It worth than you get a hamburger 😜
Service: 5 stars. We asked for veggies put separately because my husband is home late tonight. They package individual bag veggie for each sandwich while other Vietnamese sandwich shop just gave me a huge bag of it. So I gave it 5 stars service.
Overall, I like this sandwich place. Cheap price for good quality food. Definitely recommend you to give it a try.
