Boba Milk Tea Shop, Coffee & Food
We came to Cha Express and tried the avocado smoothie, the Tokyo styled chicken wings, condensed milk toast and mango smoothie with cheese foam. I really appreciated that the avocado smoothie gave non dairy options and that many of the selections let you customize the level of sugar and ice. The other toppings and their prices are very clearly labeled. The chicken wings were delicious, topped with bonito, seaweed and Japanese mayonnaise. The drinks were tasty and reasonably priced for the size. We liked it so much that I think this will be our regular place to come for drinks and snacks.

By far, the best place to be at whether you want to get boba, great quality food, or get a few hours of studying in. The boba here? Absolutely phenomenal. Every drink feels like it’s crafted with love—perfectly balanced flavors, silky smooth teas, and the freshest tapioca pearls. Whether you’re into classic milk teas or adventurous fruity blends, their menu has something for everyone.
Perhaps the biggest thing about this place is their hospitality and costumer service. The gentleman working in the front named Steven, is the best host I have ever interacted with. I have been to 5 star restaurants and I have not received the level of care that I have received from Steven.
Absolutely loved this place and will encourage all my friends to give this place a try.

They have a summer menu of new and fun stuff.
I ordered the top one which is mango sago pomelo with Cristal boba. A must have! This is a falcon I have been missing from my life in China. Definitely bringing great memories. I asked for no sugar and the sweet level is just right for me.

Since a shop we often went to for popcorn chicken temporarily closed, my husband found another place offering it on a food delivery site, so we decided to give it a try. When we entered the shop, no one greeted us. Later, we found out that we needed to order by ourselves. It was our first time here, so we didn’t know how things worked. After we placed our order, we were told that the caramel thick toast we ordered was sold out. We didn’t want to order anything else, so I asked for a refund. The staff, or maybe the owner, said they didn’t know how to process refunds. Helpless, we ended up choosing fries, only to later realize there was a price difference, but no one mentioned refunding the difference. I thought maybe it’s fine as long as the food was good. But the signature milk tea we ordered wasn’t good, and the popcorn chicken was awful. I’ve never tasted anything this bad before—it only tasted like soy sauce. The fries were poorly fried too, not crispy at all. I just want to say, this is the first and last time I’m coming here. Maybe I shouldn’t have ordered popcorn chicken from them, but I really didn’t expect it to be this bad. It was truly a waste of money and food. We barely ate anything and almost threw it all away. Not recommended!

Their teas were good and their service was great. I initially did not like the egg waffle because it was sloppy and obviously not worth $6.50, the staff gave it to me then walked away. Before I could say anything else, another staff member ( I think it was the owner) came up and offered to make me another one crispy and nice. Thank you.

If youre a fan of Millet Crepe, this creme brulee custard crepe is a close second. Crepe itself is soft and custard is creamy. The HK egg waffle is crispy on the top and slightly soggy on the bottom, but is very airy and light inside. Would get both again.

Its the Mark Wahlberg of boba tea shops. Absolutely undrinkable Hong Kong tea with crystal pearls. It was our friends first time having boba and we were mortified that it was her first experience. tossed them out and got fries at the Hat to recover.

They had recently opened for the day, nevertheless they had all items available except for the boba was being made. We ordered creme brulee crepes, and tokyo style wings and they were delicious. Very nice and welcoming place.

The people that work here are strange. I dont mean to sound disrespectful or Karenisque but these young, college kids were soooo uneducated and rude. My friends & I walked in, we stood there for about 5 minutes while the employees didn t even acknowledge us ONCE. Not even a hello or a welcome. They saw us, but kept making whatever it was they were making & continuing their conversation avoiding any kind of contact. Some other kid walked in & they immediately started laughing and joking with this kid. The guy tried to step inside the work area & worker boy said Do you work here bit__? jokingly obviously, but out loud. Again, COMPLETELY disregarding us. Then, after the 6th minute of us standing there confused, the young dude wearing a blue shirt, grey short shorts and slides finally says oh you guys can order there pointing us to a POSi. We decided to leave because thats kinda crazyyyyyy. The couple minutes we were there were so awkward. I work in the industry yall, I get what it s like to hate being at work. Trust, I know. But fake it til you make it brother. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered Uber eat from this place and I am extremely disappointed. I bought several Yakult drinks and the yakult tasted fermented and bad. The egg tart tasted old and way too greasy. The popcorn is chicken was fried for so long, its not popcorn chicken anymore. Instead, they should call their popcorn chicken fried chicken Jerky. I placed my order oround 11:45 and my food did not get ready until 12:55. Very bad experience and a waste of money. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Late night spot. Few parking spots but can be full late night. You can park across the street. Place is clean and you order thru a kiosk. Drinks are very tasty.

Our first visit at Cha Express was a fantastic experience! Steven provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable, attentive and was even kind enough to provide us delicious egg tart desserts after we shared with him we were there celebrating a birthday. We will definitely be coming back!!! DNA

They are franchised from the Bay Area legend, Cha Express in San Mateo! Im glad to run into this store randomly while visiting my aunt here in LA. Their Yunnan tea has a unique smoky flavor, and their boba is very Q. I encourage people to try them out!

Ordered on 9/15/2023 around 9pm The store was empty and with only one other group of customers inside, yet my order of 1 smoothie took over 20mins to make. To top it all off the workers there that night (female then male) seemed to be not too friendly but i can understand as they were holding down the place as a one person team. But ultimate i would like some communication as a customer if my drink is going to take an ungodly amount of time to make. Also the guy worker was a-hole for not letting a CUSTOMER use a chair outside without making a fuse. Like bro go handle your store. Drink was $6 and change but was worth like $3-4 max. Small cup and average flavor. Went inside to check it out since i was there for salju but i dont think i would be returning ever, shouldve just got salju (which was packed and still had faster lines). All around bad experience.

There is only one other customer in the store yet I ve been waiting almost 20 minutes for my drink. In a place called EXPRESS. If it s the best tea I ve had in my life I ll add more stars. There is only one staff member so I understand the slowdown but this is ridiculous. He could have told me it would take a while.

Cha Express is another place that was recommended by my sister (thank you again Lupe!) and I am a fan. The selection of drinks that they offer is good; regardless of your preference, you will find something here and you wont be disappointed. My go-to drink at Cha Express is the milk tea with black rice. Before coming to Cha Express, I never thought of having rice as a topping in milk tea, but I loved it when I tried. The rice is not mushy and it complements the drink well. I saw that they also offer oats as a topping, which is something I will try next time I stop by. The staff at Cha Express are always very nice and helpful. They will give you recommendations based on what you like.

New boba shop in town. Clean store, friendly staffs. I ordered Yunnan Milk Tea with regular sweet, it doesn t taste as sweet like other stores, some people will like it since there s no need to adjust sugar level. My friend ordered fruit tea but it lacked of flavors, wouldn t recommend that yet until they improve. Overall, it worths a trip to try Yunnan tea
