This place is on believable. Unacceptable. The management team lady name . Destiny is very rude. There was hair in the food and she was the one with the attitude saying this always happens to a whole bunch of people so they always have hair in their food and they have issues people call it wear a hairnet. That’s completely disgusting and gross and when I spoken to her and called her back because she hung up on my face telling her I want to speak to her head manager the way she treated me. She hung up on me and I told her I have my receipt and she said send it. I told her I want to speak to the person in charge. You are very disrespectful that’s not how you treat a customer the owner should. Fire her. She’s going to lose business and does not know how to treat customers she gave the wrong name by she was saying her name is Justin and then when I called back in the gentleman said her name was Destiny. Unbelievable the way they treat customers after they found a piece of hair in their food. Unacceptable.

So, I used to be a fan of Luna Grill
Not anymore
Today we went there and we ordered a Mediterranean Salad with chicken (which was supposed to be included in it, per their menu) but they charged me extra $12 for their “special chicken kabab” which I didn’t order and called it good.
Our order for 2 chicken salads cost $50 😅
Which made me wondering hmmm. Wow why Luna is so expensive all in a sudden!!! It wasn’t a fine dining 🤔
Unfortunately I was very hungry and after I ate my food I asked them why did you charge me extra for chicken? Isn’t it already included in it?
She said oops, you should’ve gotten two chicken or it was supposed to be replaced with chopped chicken (I have no Idea what the difference is), what we can do is put your name down for the next time you get a side or something 🙂🙂🙂🙂😂

You probably dont care but I told her I’m not coming back. A $12 refund was super easy but it wasn’t an option apparently, which is fine
But charging people like that, to me is a no no
Again you might not care, but you lost one customer for good.

And if you guys are going there to eat, make sure you read your receipt carefully before you touch your food, there might be something extra in it that you might not agree.

The Pita bread and hummus is so good! Luna Grill no matter the location is so consistent in their health food and clean welcoming restaurants. This Aliso Viejo parking lot gets a little hectic with so many good places and restaurants in the complex, but everything else was great- service, and food quality. 5 stars.

We sadly didn't get his name, but the cashier working tonight provided excellent service. He was so kind and attentive! The food is always great at Luna Grill too. This is a great location because how much effort the employees put in.

Angel showed incredible service when we went in for dinner tonight. I came in with my baby and went towards the high chairs and he noticed and beat me to it and set it up at a table for me. I had placed an online order but decided we wanted to eat at the restaurant and he adjusted our items to be easy to eat there and brought a bag to pack everything up in for when we needed to leave. On our way out he recommended using their app or website to place our order so that we could get points and free kids meals during the week. All of this was him going out of his way to anticipate our needs and make it a great experience.

Justin, the mgr, always provides service with a smile. The kitchen team is visibly working well together to prepare the freshest and tastiest food. We just ordered the family meal for 6 last night with delish garlic lemon chicken - super juicy and moist- and gyro meat. Their rice is soo yum (I make long grain basmati at home but I'm missing their secret flavor) as the other sides like salad and hummus. I love their rewards system and frequent special deals.
It's a comfortable setting to eat in, as I've done often, but also ideal for takeout.
Thank you, everyone at AV Luna Grill. I'm a lifer.

Our go-to option in Aliso for family take-out. The food is healthy and delicious. They’ve never gotten an order wrong.

Solid prices for what you get, and if you sign up for their rewards app (which is a really well built app), you get end up getting around 10% off over time on every order.

Doordash drivers open the bags and the food does not arrive, you can control this by verifying the driver's name since they are men calling themselves women and women calling themselves men. I ordered and it arrived incomplete. don't deliver the food if the doordash driver has a Fake account.

What a hidden gem. The kebabs were really good, the shrimp was damn good. The hummus and salad were great. It's a counter service type place, but the food was sit down service quality.

My husband had the Harvest bowl and loved it, the chicken was nice and juicy, he had extra chickpeas, since the tabuleh comes mixed with tomato and cucumber-neither of which he can eat.
I had the luna vida bowl with salmon.This is my favorite and I have had it before.This time it came squashed into a small black plastic bowl, making it hard to eat or mix. Looked unappetizing, all squashed together. Salmon was a teeny , tiny piece, which was disappointing.I know it is hard to find people to wash dishes, but all those plastic bowls are not good for our planet.At least put the food on a big plate- the compostable ones you have for all the other food. After all the eyes eat first and this great food squashed into the bowl is gross. We also had the fire feta - which was excellent and the falafel. Falafel needed a little more seasoning.

They canceled the best dish that they had, these small Cornish chicken.
Tried other dishes. Falafel is so heavy, not crispy and light as it should be. Their rice is also very dry.

If they meant for me to never come back, they got it. Clearly said to the cashier, it was my first time there, told it would be about 15 min. I'm patient, they're busy, a lot of online or phone orders, finally i go to the cashier and ask If I was supposed to come up and get my food, he says "what's your name" I tell him and he hands it to me. I ask again was i supposed to come up and get it since they can clearly see I'm there, including the lady who appears to be running things. Thinking they would either call my name or bring it to me, cashier says I'm sorry she should have called your name. My order was taken at 5:41 pm I walked out with my food about about 6:20. How foolish of me to wait so long, i knew it was longer than 15 minutes but assumed they must really be putting care into it.

As I waited for my take out order, I noticed how the 2 guys working the counter were cleaning and frequently washing their hands. They were very conscientious about including utensils, napkins, & sauces for the take out orders. Polite, friendly. No apparent manager, yet doing the best job possible. Staff, being paid a good wage, help make a business successful.

Love the food and the service! My coworkers and I have been here a few times more recently and Alex is always very attentive and remembers our faces. It makes us feel welcome and almost like usuals. The chicken and gyro meat are always cooked perfectly and the atmosphere is just very wonderful. Definitely a great place to have lunch!

Service at this location is excellent! Justin and Alex make a great team. Alex was very attentive, took our order and gave some recommendations. The tables were well maintained and the place is always clean. Food service was quick and always flavourful. Definitely recommend this location in particular, look forward to eating here again!

I came in to pick up my online order. Another man came in at the same time I did. A worker was sweeping the floor and greeted me enthusiastically.

I could see my order was done so I stood near the cash register. Still the worker continued to sweep the floor. His supervisor had to verbally instruct him to stop sweeping and attend to me and the other customer.

Weirdly, although I was standing near the register, he decided to take the other customer's order. So I walked over, peeked in the bag, verified it was my order and got ready to take it away. The worker, Angel, snottily snapped, "Next time you have to wait!" Well, I did wait while you swept the floor and the other customer looked at the menu.

Maybe I was wrong to try to take my order, but some fast casual places let you grab your order and go.

EDIT TO ADD: I've bumped up my stars a couple notches since yesterday.

The manager called me today and explained they don't allow customers to collect their own online orders because they've had a serious problem with theft. So I was definitely wrong to try to collect my own order; however, it doesn't explain why Angel ignored two customers to keep sweeping. It also doesn't explain why Angel snarled at me instead of calmly saying "Please wait ma'am." Maybe he was having a bad day.

The manager apologized and sincerely wanted to make it right. So I will happily come to Luna Grill again soon. If the service is better, I'll revise my stars again.

Manager and staff need a serious attitude adjustment! How rude can you be and on Mother’s Day - thank you for upsetting my daughter. A mistake was made because of a dietary restriction and not only was the manager rude, when a second call was made to ensure the salad was made properly - he hung up on her. Shame on you! There are plenty of other restaurants in Aliso Viejo - this is unnecessary.

I ended up at Luna grill for dinner after a horrible experience at another place where the serving was too small and they were charging me extra for a shrimp dish on top of the price.
As soon as I walked in to Luna I was greeted, Angel was my the one who took my order, and was an absolute delight. His customer service was 100%, he went above and beyond than I expected the food was delicious, after that horrible experience I had at the previous place he definitely made my night.
I will be a returning customer just for that.

I recently moved into the area and every time I've returned I have at great experience! I would like to thank Alex for always making sure every guest is taken care of and always being so kind to my family and I when we go in. I am not the kind of person to review restaurants but I found this restaurant very exceptional. The food was great. The portions were enough to get you full. The service was outstanding. There was one person in particular who was very helpful and also stayed and made sure I was doing great. His name was Alex, and he helped me throughout my time in the restaurant he respected everyone there and was very helpful towards everyone. I also found the atmosphere to be great. It wasn't dirty much, and everyone wasn't on other people's business or bothering them.

My first time going to this location AND trying mediterranean food in general was overall an AMAZING experience. The manager Alex was very helpful and recommended such great items and made sure to ask questions rather than just “assume” what I’d like. The workers also there were very kind and seemed to love being there and helping out. After eating, Alex made sure to double check on myself and multiple customers, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and their food. I will definitely come back again :)

I went to luna grill for chicken Mediterranean wrap ,i couldn't eat this whatever is called , so cold , the bread was thick and right out of freezer and cold chicken was so cold like frozen, paid almost 12 dollars , took the wrap to the luna grill left it on the counter, the guy at register had hard time to explain, if I knew is cold brick , I wouldn't order grill means hot not cold , luna owe me

Luna Grill Aliso Viejo keeps me coming back for more. I literally eat there everyday because the food is so good, the service is so prompt, the restaurant is clean, and the employees are helpful. I would especially like to praise the manager. I believe his name is Justin. He does a great job running the place. He knows my order by heart ( Bistro Beef Kabob Plate with utensils and 2 extra tazikis). It is always ready for me when I get there and packed appropriately. I can't recommend this location of Luna Grill enough.

Today was my first time eating at Luna Grill! Needless to say I left impressed by the service I received tonight. You walk up to the counter to order and the employees take care of the rest. Amir not only brought my food out to me but later also checked up on me to ensure I was enjoying the the koobideh kabob plate he recommended. I received my food in a timely manner and it was extremely fresh, it also had very good flavor. Can’t wait to try something new on my next visit!

The food was great and the woman at the register was lovely and provided excellent service. However, there was a relatively unpleasant man working with her. Although he greeted me, he did not smile, was generally unpleasant and appeared unhappy and annoyed during the entire time I was in the restaurant. I have had nothing but kind, friendly, efficient service prior to this visit and the food is always great. Just wanted to let the owner know that this guy’s attitude really changed the atmosphere for me.

I have to admit that I was really disappointed with this trip to Luna. Normally their food is awesome and tastes super fresh but last night was not that same experience. I don’t know what’s going on but the chicken was subpar (tasted old and was over cooked), the rice was definitely not fresh (tasted like it had been microwaved) and the portions were definitely smaller than in the past. I ordered spicy hummus instead of the salad and they used to put it in the medium portion of the to-go container, but instead put it in the small portion. So I definitely paid more for a lot less all the way around. Really disappointing, especially since every other visit had been great. My wife ordered the Santorini bowl which used to be filled almost to the top, but this was barely filled halfway and all the extras (olives, onions, etc.) looked like they had been counted and rationed (like at subway and you have to ask for more than the allotted 5 pickles). Might just stick with Cava after this visit.

Legitimately loved our meal. We got the trio hummus appetizer, pita wrap, kubbideh pita & fries. In all honesty some of the tastiest falafel we have had anywhere, the kubbideh was seasoned very well & super moist, and the fries were crispy & delicious. All three hummus varieties in the appetizer were good & a great addition to our late afternoon picnic. Highly recommended.

Food is ok, but most pathetic staff and manager. Their app doesn't work and even if you order from door dash ,it never reaches them.

Wasted an hour to get food twice.

Also when i received the package, the oil from harissa sauce was leaking and it cover half of the paper package, went back and informed the staff that there is something wrong, and he need to look at it. the person who picked up the package took it and spoken to other staff and in loud noise mentioned that this guy is just not going away, there is nothing wrong in the package it is just a leakage and then just simply transferred that content to another paper bag which leaked again by the time i kept it in my car.

this shows how bad the staff is here and they don't really care about customer. the moment , you expect them to perform. they will go in to abusive behavior. company behind the staffing doesn't work on getting the background check of the people or train then to behave in well mannered way.

Apart from that the food was not the same as i asked for , they gave tzazitki instead of spicy tzazitki on the side. over costly falafel. size was possibly the tiniest you would ever have got in any restaurant.

the quantity of food have been reduced by 1/3rd in the past one month.

in short , this location is all messed up and the brand name for this messy place is "LUNA GRILL"

They brought our food to the wrong table and it was coughed on by another customer. Both she and I agreed a new plate should come out. The dude took it away for a minute and I watched him bring same food back out. It then took 20 minutes to get a refund.

Order food..its?? They didn't have beer on tab, they only in can, but not cold. So asked for wine, its served in small glass. I asked if I can have a wine glass instead, they said nope. I asked for TV turn on, they said nope.. So, not sure why do they have a TV. Alot of Nooo

Food is always great and this place offers a military discount. I really enjoy the customer service and the place is nice and clean. Would strongly recommend for faster Mediterranean food.

Have been here 3 or more times. Friendly staff greet you at the front. Their menu has great selections. I'm a fan of the flat cut chicken (essentially a chicken breast Kabob plate). Their food is tasty and comes out hot. Their gyro is also a good choice. Or get a Mediterranean salad.

I like that they have beer and wine here as well, which you won't find at some other local Mediterranean spots.

They typically check each table and ask how the meal was. We will be back!

No multi grain pita bread on my plate. (2 pieces of pita)My girlfriend asked for extra pita bread for hers and may have received 3 pieces. Food was cold and the cook gave us extra grief for asking for extra sauce. This place is going down hill after this, probably won’t come back.

Update*** I have been in touch with their customer service department. They have done everything in their power to help me out. I added a star just for this reason. I will try them again in the future and will continue this update on how the food/customer service is at that time.

Update *** this restaurant made it right again and reached out to us. Excellent customer service. 2nd time going was great.

I used to love this place so much.. I would always get the Adult Grass fed burger and Sweet Potato fries. And they completely removed not one, but BOTH of those.

This place have an amazing mediterranean food and outstanding service. I came here for the first time and ordered the chicken plate with regular hummus on the side. I needed extra rice so I ask how much and they just gave it to me for free. At the end of my meal I went to thank her for the food and service and she gave me two free hummus!

I got the falafel wrap which is always a favorite Mediterranean meal for me. Clean restaurant and friendly employees. It dropped a star for me because the falafels were overcooked and too crunchy. But I wouldn't mind going again.
