I grew up in panaderias. I come from 4 generations of panaderos. The bread at this bakery is one of the best tasting I have found in oc. I try not to each alot of pan, but when I decide to splurge I always come here. Oh yea they have incredible savory empanadas, my family can't get enough of them. Highly recommend this bakery.

If your the owner please bring back one of the original bakers or ask the family of the previous owners to teach your new baker how to make the bolios, everytime I come in the bolios are over done and they don't taste the same. The beans are good right now but the bolios were were so good. I can't count how many people I brought to the bakery from sharing with them. I use to buy like 3 or 4 rows of the square bolios and share them at work. Everytime someone tasted them they immediately asked me where I bought them and I would tell them. My family from LA would even drive over to get them. Please bring them back, I promise you won't regret it and that the people will appreciate and your business would sell more.

Very good traditional Mexican panaderia.. like with most bakeries the earlier you go the fresher the bread will be! I stopped by this Sunday morning and had their delicious tamales with they make fresh on the weekends line was long but that should tell you they are good if you have people willing to wait in line.

Good tasting pan.
The chicken tamal: The filing is absolutely delicious! The masa needed a little more time steaming; it was a bit mushy.

Delicious bread and the facilities are immaculate! every piece of bread is behind glass :) so happy I found you today. The person working there gave me the low down on when to get certain foods! I will be there weekly

Not what it used to be... I'm guessing they changed owners. Bread is okay at best and I was charged $15 on my card for only 3 prices of bread. I suggest you ask for a copy of your receipt if you use card...

Good place for sweet bread and other goodies. They also offer tamales and tortas. The quality of the items sold are pretty good since they bake fresh daily.

My boyfriend and I had been looking for a good panderia for a few months when we moved nearby. He went there this morning around 5:30am and got the perfect concha, as he says. SOOOO therefore, I wrote a short story about the way he explained it to me:
- I went to the panderia this morning before work. I think I’m going to start going there every morning. It was sooooo good. It was just sitting there and you could tell it just came out of the oven like 8 minutes ago. When I bit into it, it was still warm and the chocolate on top was not too hard yet. It was perfect.
Needless to say, we will be regulars now.

this place fell off with change of ownership. they cant seem to find/keep decent bakers. The new owners seem to focus on their original store in SA cause this one is lacking.

What is not to love about this panaderia!! The tamales are always a gamble but so worth it 🤗🤗🤗 Pan dulce is yummy, reminds me of one that we used to go to as kids in Tecate 🖤 Totally recommend that you pre order your tamales at any time of the year!!!!! The chxn in chile verde are my favorite & my sibling favors the pork in red chile. Our go to spot for a bit of home taste 🖤🖤🖤

I give a three stars because of cleanliness and freshness but they don't make the bolios or beans the same anymore. I asked the new owner if he was aware that people come for the bread and beans and he said that they would still be making the same as the previous owners, needless to say it was like that for a quick minute then it changed. Such a shame I turned so many people on to this place. The bread was perfection, shame not to carry that on. Please reach out to original owners of bakery and ask for bread recipe please.

Update: returned a second time. I had contact with the owner this time. She was very rude. While helping me she was complaining to a worker that they made too much bread (well maybe its just no one is buying it?) and said she will take it out of their pay! Kept bad mouthing them and had the nerve to try and pressure me to buy more bread. I never went back.
Saw the reviews so I tried it out today. Got some conchas. They were soft. Sweet but these werent too sweet they were perfect! Some other bread that was great too very fresh. But their cheese and jalapeño stuffed bread is the shiznit! I would do my bread shopping at northgate but never more! The lady working inside was friendly. Read reviews on the owner. Owner i believe was outside, dont want to be rude and judge but I will say she wanted nothing to do with me lol. Well thank you to the lady inside, I will be back and to try those tamales ASAP!

I like this place they have amazing bread but the owner and her daughter are the rudest people ever! I used to go here everyday but I have witnessed them talking down on their employees to the point of making them cry in front of customers. Everyone else greets you as you walk in expect the owners. That's how you know who the owners are
