The food and service in this restaurant stand up to the name: Original=Best
This one is in our top three breakfast restaurants/diners. Everything that was served up was outstanding in flavor, texture, and preparation. Our server Martha was excellent, focused on customer satisfaction, enthusiastic, and kept our coffees topped off and our table clean.
We visited on a Sunday right after the morning rush. There was a 10-minute wait, but it's not bad at all when you're about to have one of the best classic American breakfast experiences in your life.

Had the country fried steak and eggs came with 3 pancakes, with a side of hash browns. It was all so good. Service was splendid. Table next to us got the apple pancake, it looked huge and smelled so good. Next time I'll go for apple pancake.

Went back for the apple pancake, it was bomb! It did take a while to cook, so keep that in mind when ordering. But the wait was worth it! The bacon is really good aswell!!

Nice place for breakfast!! Had a short wait of 5 minutes for a table. They really exceed Our expectations!! The pancakes are fluffy, rich and filling with many kinds to choose from. Our dishes were plentiful, hot and really good!!

The omelettes were a little bland, but good. The pancakes were yummy (of course) and the coffee was actually decent. Our waitress was excellent. However, seating wasn't as kind for the disabled. We had to wait much longer than they told us until I pointed out how we were being passed by. They seated us within 10 mins after mentioning this. Thank you.

Food was great but if just stars service should be 7 stars Matthew was great not just with us but I could see hin giving great service to others. As someone who has been on the road home and abroad one of the best servers Ive seen. Our first time here but our new go to place in SoCal.

Here we go.. from beginning to end, our experience was great. Our wait was less than what we were told, which is always a plus. Not just our waiter, but all the waiters passing by were very attentive and nice. I wanted to change my order after I saw other people's food passing by, and they did it without hesitation. Finally, our meals arrive, from presentation to aroma to the taste and texture. Everything was how it should be. The German pancake was delicious, the "Hasbrown"! Was flavorful and crispy, officially my favorite hashbrown ever.
Even my wife's original pancakes stand out from all other pancake places. It just has great flavor. My chorizo omelet is also perfect. It's just a great breakfast spot. I will definitely be back. And telling all my friends and family about it.

Went to my first Black Friday sale at 6 am at Guitar Center. We found what we needed! Then, I found a scrumptious piece of Americana here at the Original Pancake House. Looking for a great place to get some delicious coffee and breakfast? This place is a must stop. Get there early cause it’s always busy. The wait is worth it. Pancakes are buttery and fluffy. Eggs cooked to perfection. The waffle is light and crispy. Service is super fast. It’s a must try if you’re in town.

I have the privilege of being spoiled by having the Original, Original Pancake House in Portland, OR. in my back yard. My review is based on the OG experience which if you like breakfast it would be worth visiting the area just to eat there, it’s that good and has set the bar that very few other locations are able to match 100%. They either get the food closer but the experience off or some other variation but none have yet to duplicate!
Our server was awesome she kept my hot chocolates coming and even catered to keeping them topped with whipped cream! Thanks for whip!

I definitely recommend putting your self on the waitlist prior to arriving, since it’s a well known restaurant it gets pretty full.
The service was great as well as the atmosphere.

All of the food we ordered was delicious, the pancakes are very flavorful, even the gluten free pancakes are delicious ( sometimes gluten free pancakes have a grainy sour aftertaste, these don’t ) the bacon is thick and cooked to perfection.
One thing I enjoy from restaurants is the coffee, and this coffee was definitely one of my favorites.

Really enjoyed our visit. Our waitress had me in stitches with her awesome personality and wit. Food was delicious. Atmosphere reminded me.of grandma's house..loved it. Homey spot to.have some great food and discussion.

My family were originally told it would be a 45-minute wait, but we were seated within 5-minutes. Our whole experience at The Original Panckae House was exceptional.

I cannot remember our waitress' name but she is a real credit to the restaurant. (I will update with name if I ever remember).

If you are considering pancakes... You need to visit here!

I’ve tried many locations but met my brother at this Anaheim one for him to try the Swedish Pancakes, Dutch Baby, and whip cream. I told him how wonderful it all was and the extra creamy real whip cream. For the most part it was ok but extremely disappointing that this location didn’t have the traditional whip cream! It was just the regular whip cream you get from a can at the grocery store. Not homemade. I had an omelette because a friend of mine had one at the Norco location when I met up with them and it was delicious. But here it was almost just a block of melted cheese. My daughter loves cheese so I could’ve given it to her but I order with mushrooms and veggies which she didn’t like. Service was okay. Bathroom could’ve used a cleaning but it was half an hour before closing when I used it.

Fantastic food, good service. Anaheim water is awful, however (has been for decades). Suggest a water filtration system be installed to remove the chlorine taste smell. Otherwise, a totally great old-school experience!

I asked for well done French toast . It wasn’t cooked as I asked and was very dry. Omelette had no flavor and bacon had so much fat I couldn’t eat it. Never coming back. Place is overrated!!!

This is a rarity. It’s actually better than it was before! The staff is so friendly and the food is perfect with a large breakfast menu. The place has been remodeled and it’s very neat and clean. These owners are committed to quality. The very best breakfast. Ever.

This place is amazing!! Jesus, Ray and Maria are the best!! We make sure we sit in their section EVERYTIME!! They are the only location with the hash browns like this!! The sautéed apples are everything!! Love this place! We always go before we go to Disney!!

Food was delicious and plentiful. My bacon cooked just right even though it was thick. And the pancakes fluffy tasty and the salty butter really brought out the sweetness of the syrup. Too bad I live 150 miles from this place. If not I would be there every weekend.

Their 49er pancakes just melt in your mouth and their hash browns are so good. The fresh orange juice is so amazing. The service was very fast once we got a table. We joined the wait-list online at home before we left. I joined the wait-list on Saturday at 10am for a party of six. There were 38 parties before me. But when I got there at 11am, they sat us right away. I would highly recommend this place.

If you want to eat in Grandma's kitchen (or Aunt Mary's), this is the place. Great place! Sweet environment. Long wait times, but it's worth the wait. Get to know your family better, or the other waiting customers. Weekdays aren't quite so busy as weekends but more than two or three people will wait at least 5-10 minutes. I recommend the cherry crepes with pecans & chocolate chips added. YUMMMMY! They also have traditional American breakfasts that taste like home. Parking teaches patience.

We were looking for a good breakfast spot while visiting and found this place. We were absolutely blown away with everything such as the fast service, delicious food and friendliness of the staff. We loved the pancakes, bacon and hash browns! Our waiter was Jesus and he was the main reason we loved our visit. He was quick, funny and provided such quality service. We will absolutely come back here when we visit again!

I had the country fried steak with potato pancakes and it was great. No one in my party had issues with the food - they all enjoyed it.

- Parking is tough on a Wednesday at noon
- Service was ok - maybe cause it was so busy it was less than perfect
- It was very loud in there - also maybe because it was busy

The food was good enough to go back if in the area.

Its been a year since we ate here, thought we give it another try for breakfast. Now mind you, they only offer you one item with your eggs or hasbrowns. For example, i wanted sausage, egg, and bacon with hashbrown. So i ordered, sausage and and eggs that came with the famous original pancakes (or other flavors if you like.) Then had to order side of bacon (3 pieces for $7.50) side or hashbrown. My order came out to $45 lol. The crazy thing about that is the PANCAKES.. THEY WERE DOUGHYYYYY.. Nothing special about their original house of pancakes. Not even a splash of vanilla at least. Very dissallointed . Dont understsnd why its so popular. The food doesnt stand out and they sell everything seperatelty. I would of been good with one egg, one sausage , one bacon, one pancake and toast! Well overall, not worth the money.any resturants out there have special items thwt mske them unique with good portions unfortunately, this resturant doesnt. Sorry .

We always have to stop by the original pancake house when we come to socal. Very long wait so be prepared to wait over 30 min unless you come early but it's well worth it since I never wait this long for any breakfast spot. The service is great always refilling coffee and never wait too long for food. overall it's a great place for some great breakfast. Suggest you guys try the waffles too! Update: wait times are good before 9am lol still best breakfast in anaheim!

my family and friends went this past weekend and got seated outside. the atmosphere outside is awful in the summer. the tent outside is made with no gaps on the inside so we had no wind coming though. it was a whole greenhouse effect. our son is six months old had him dressed in short sleeves and shorts. i had to step out a couple times because he was so hot and his cheeks were so red.
the table behind us had a baby girl in fleece pajamas. long sleeves and pants. her whole head was sweating and it was dripping around her neck. as we were walking out the family were cooling her in the parking lot. so if you have an infant please be asked to sit inside.

Also ohne Reservierung wirds zur Frühstückzeit schwierig, aber es lohnt sich zu warten. Der Service ist hervorragend, das Essen schmeckt gut und ist auch reichlich. Kaffee wird immer nachgeschenkt.

This was our first time here and Jesus was our serve and he was FANTASTIC! He had amazing energy, very funny and gave OUTSTANDING service. Very attentive and helpful when we ordered. He definitely made our first time a great time. The food was great and came fast, the atmosphere was very home-y. We left very full and satisfied haha. We will definitely be back and make sure we have Jesus as our server again! :)

The nicest people work here they were all so sweet, the food came out so fast and was delicious!!! The price of the food is very reasonable and the portions are huge, a great value for what you pay for. We went on our way out of town after 2 days at Disneyland and it was a great way to end our time in Anaheim. 100% recommend!

Love that you can get in line on Yelp before you arrive. The waiting area isn’t super large so that is helps with your congestion.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. I had the Waffle, which was thin and crispy, and slightly tart. My wife had the blueberry pancakes, which she found to be tasty. Eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection, and the hashbrowns were thinly shredded and cooked crispy. The atmosphere is that of an older diner, but the place was clean and the service was prompt. Would definitely go again.

Hands down a great spot to have breakfast. Anything on the menu is your best choice ever. The staff is excellent. The atmosphere is homie. I love this place. I always get the cottage cheese pancakes and bacon. So yummy!

For something so simple, all of the food was incredible. Delicious and well-prepared! As a former coffee chain manager, I was deeply impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency maintained by the entire staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly without being overbearing. If you’re looking for a great, simple, delicious breakfast/brunch, look no further.

Great breakfast! It is hard to find a good diner and this place hits the nail on the head. I had the coconut pancakes and they were absolute perfection. A word of warning, the short stack is still a huge serving so be prepared. The service here was also great, the waitress was sweet and fast. I highly recommend dropping by if you are in the area.

Even though it seems to take forever to get a table, the wait is well worth it once you get inside and get a seat. The wait staff are very efficient and keep your drinks filled. The food was really good and plentiful, so much so that I didn't eat until dinner time!

The best breakfaat EVER! Their bacon is some of the best bacon I have ever had in my entire life. French toast and eggs benedict are also delicious. Parking is tight, but on the weekends, use the school parking lot next door. Be sure to join the mobile waitlist.

I hadn't been here in a few years and it instantly made me smile. I had the Apple Pancake. Although it takes about 20 minutes to make; it is totally worth the wait! We also tried the Sourdough Pancakes and those were so soft and fluffy. Service is always great.
The parking lot is small so have patience. The restaurant is always full, but we managed to get in fairly quickly. It's always worth the wait!!
