We were looking for lunch heading out of the Disney area. My wife found this gem, very close to the Angels stadium. They serve elevated Filipino food, something that is not common. The food was terrific. I had the pictured adobo bowl. My wife and kids all had something different and they were all delicious. They also have a juice menu that was great. The menu also included alcoholic drinks, which we didn't get. They also showed better service than Disney, as they were busy but asked my daughter what she wanted to watch on the TV. They also saw that it was my daughter's birthday and without prompting, at the end of our meal, the staff all sang happy birthday with a candle and Nutella pancakes. That is attention to detail and just caring about your customers. We will let others know about this place and be back when we're in the area

Linked to a scammer that’s scamming people from a Cancer patients donation page. Somehow I was charged my Lola Lumpia when I was asked to donate to a cancer patient to raise money for their family. This is despicable if you guys are truly linked to this scam. Shame on you guys.

My party of 2 ordered and after 45 minutes of seeing larger parties who arrived later get their food before us, our waiter finally checked on us and had to re-order our food. It seemed they expedited because the food came shortly after but the beef tapa which I paid extra for also came out very dry and unpleasant to eat. Waiter didn’t come to refill our water either which I ran out of very quickly. It’s not like the waiter was too busy with other tables either, he was seen conversing with coworkers and being on his phone quite often with lack of attentiveness.

I REALLY enjoyed this place. Honestly. If you ever do decide to come here, make sure you go online and get on the waitlist, just make sure you're there when you're at least the top 10 in line.

This place had such a great atmosphere and vibe.

The look of the inside was really homely. The people were very friendly.

I submitted a photo: I myself had the Adobo Fried Rice Omelet -- it was really good (however, I got extra rice to counteract that it had a lot of adobo gravy).

It was definitely more on the pricey side, and we did have to wait outside for a little while, but honestly, it was worth it.

A Filipino breakfast is very hearty, and Lola's knows how to make sure you feast and are full by the end of your meal!!

Lola's by MFK is a great place to have a Filipino breakfast/brunch. There are many great options that are not only classic Filipino breakfast items, but some that are Filipino-inspired and their take on the food is great!

When you come, know that you need to scan the QR code in front to join the waitlist (unless you are lucky and there is not a wait!).

Upon sitting down, there was just so many items I wanted to try. I did first get a Boku Pandan Cold Brew, which had just the right amount of boku pandan flavor in it where it was just not too overwhelming!

Now I will talk about a bunch of the dishes I had!

Adobo Fried Rice Omelette - This was my favorite dish. It was very hearty and had full of flavor! The chicken adobo inside was good and it had the right amount of sauce to over that garlic rice inside! I need to have someone make me this at home!

Ube Pancakes - By looking at it you may think there could be too much Ube flavor in here with all the color, but it was not too overwhelming. The pancakes themselves tasted great and it was just the right amount of Ube to complement the dish. If you want that sweetness for breakfast, then this is a dish to get!

Pork Sisig (was a special for the day when I was here) - You cannot go wrong with a good Pork Sisig! They did a great job with the stir-fried pork with those fried onions on that sizzing plate. This was definitely another heavy dish that we looked to munch on!

The service here was outstanding and very attentive considering it was very busy.

I will definitely need to come back here. I see they do a Kamayan brunch (communal-style meal where it is encouraged to eat with your hands), which is maybe what I need to try next time!

Very disappointing food from what I hoped would be an authentic Filipino experience. I ordered the "Silog" bowl with Tocino and the rice was severely undercooked and under seasoned lacking any flavor of garlic. It was more like steamed rice with crispy garlic than anything else. Given that this is the fundamental part of the "silog" breakfast, it is very upsetting that this restaurant can't get the rice correct.

I contacted the restaurant to address the undercooked rice and received new rice which was still lacking flavor. I do not believe this restaurant to be catered to the Filipino palette and rather a restaurant that is designed for people that do not know what the food should taste like.

As a Filipino who is looking for a taste of home, this was not it. Save your time and money, you can find better food elsewhere.

My bf and I were finally able to take the the time to find this place and eat here. I was so excited because I've been craving Filipino food for a while now. Sobrang sarap dito! I had the Adobo Fried Rice Omelet while my bf had the Bangus Sisig. Both were very tasty! I also had to try the Milo coffee and my bf had to try their buko pandan coffee. the pandan was the best part (he let me try it hehehe) we're definitely going to try and make some time to try other dishes!

The restaurant had at home vibes with the last supper and Lola's photos and a pretty mural on the wall and San Miggy beer towers hahaha...Staff was super friendly and it definitely seemed like a cool work environment!

Can't wait to try more dishes and maybe even their kamayan with a bunch of friends.

This place was SO good. I got their breakfast bowl with tocino. Im not usually a fan of tomatoes but their tomato salad that came with the bowl was sooo refreshing. The ube cold brew was so earthy and the right amount of sweetness. The only thing that was insane was the wait time. We waited for about an hr and a half but I'd totally go again to try their other dishes.

Disappointed… Only serves brunch and its mostly pre-packaged food like tocino, longganisa. Their ensilada is only tomato nothing else.. Lumpiang shanghai is very tiny all wrapper… Buko juice and mango juice are the canned ones not fresh for 6$ each.. I paid 100$, where I can definitely cook and make this at home for 25$. Does not recommend this place.. Look for other Filipino food places there’s a lot more good place and food than this…

Food is disappointing. If you are craving Filipino food then avoid this place. I recommend going to Maria's Kusina or Manila Sunset instead. The serving of the kamayan (family meal) is little; not worth the price at all. The beef tapa is not well cooked; it's chewy. They charged us extra even though they said the replacement food was a compliment. Server was nice but everyone else was rude.

Little hidden gem of Anaheim!

This is a great place for a brunch!
As soon as we walked in to this wonderful place, were greeted with a Smile by Rochelle. She was excellent and very professional. Very attentive and knowledgable. 😊

The food was excellent and very affordable. We ordered the Silog breakfast bowl with Longanisa & Adobo rice omelette.
The Dirty Ube cold brew was refreshing.
The Ube Tres Leche
French toast is out of this world!

We love their Filipino displays around the restaurant most especially the mural of Lola with the grandchild kissing her hand.

We also liked the Bulletin Board with Tagalog translation.

There was a lot of respect shown inside this restaurant

We would highly recommend this place!

Nice brunch place that has the classics and specialities, with a Filipino and even American trendy brunch style twist, but at slightly lower to comparable prices to other brunch spots.

Everything we tried was done perfectly, I especially loved the Birria chilaquiles ($18, not too bad a price for being a huge, shareable portion). We liked the ube cold brew ($7) and even the regular hot coffee (only $3) was very good, as was the ube horchata ($4).

The online waitlist is a nice feature, we joined the waitlist on the way over around 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday and were seated immediately

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new Filipino spot last night. Our go-to's are : Sea Food City and Terrace by Mix Mix. We love these spots because it reminds me of naynay's cooking, they do not use too much oil (most Filipino Restaurants do), and the price you pay for the amount of food you get is a great deal!

Despite these being our go-to Filipino spots, they are out of the way. We prefer dining in at home most of the time - especially during our movie nights. Seeing that this place had over 200 reviews and almost a 5 star was a good first impression for us! Not only that, it was just 10 minutes away.

I called to place a to go order last night. Before I placed the order, I wanted to verify with them that I was paying cash. Most places nowadays are cashless - or - don't even take large bills. Whoever I spoke with over the phone confirmed that it was okay. So, we proceeded with our order. After we listed what we wanted, she verified my form of payment a few more times. We had to verify this more than the order itself.

Upon arriving, the way they decorated the restaurant was really homie-like and welcoming. I was greeted warmly by the hostess who later got replaced by another staff member. This might've been the person I spoke with over the phone. I handed her my $100 that I needed to break - which we disclosed over the phone. I felt like I was being characterized as a "shady character" by her. She was not welcoming like the hostess.

First impressions really do matter especially for a restaurant. I was really turned off with my interaction when I was paying. I wanted to give them business to help them grow, break my $100 and just find a new Filipino spot for us. I get that someone from the past might've given them a fake hundred dollar bill, but come on. I've worked in the retail and restaurant business when I was younger. You do not want to frickin' look smug or rude when someone uses a big bill like that. She also could've had an off day, fine. I've had those like the other billions of people on this planet. *You do not show your unpleasant mood towards your customers ESPECIALLY if they are new.*

I paid over $60 for 2 entrees, 2 sinangags, and lumpia. The pricing could be altered to be more reasonable. I paid less for higher quality food at other restaurants. Listen, if you do not have a tita, tito, lola, etc. in your life that knows* how to cook authentic Filipino dishes, this place would be an immediate 5 star. I don't see my mom often, so finding places that can cook like her means a lot to me. I'm sure other people from around the world could say the same thing.

The food was oily and they could've used cheap oil because it hurt both of our stomachs. You might as well go to Pinoy Pam's best and eat there since their food quality are the same.

They have something going on. Just a few things to alter and they'll be set.

Very cute spot . Decent size parking lot . They have a pretty large menu with all your typical Filipino eats with a little twist . Portion sizes are fairly decent. Prices are not too bad. The service was a little slow, but they seem to be shorthanded didn’t like the fact of seeing an employee sit us down and help out a little but then sits down on her laptop when it got super busy . But I guess management can’t deal with that . We ordered the UBE pancakes which are a definite must try . We also ordered the sizzling Bangus Sisig ( which wasn’t sizzling when it came out lol ) wished it was a little more crispy, but the flavors were good. We also ordered the Tapsilog which was pretty good and the tomatoes are a nice touch . I will definitely give it another try to try out some of their other menu items. I hear the Ube French toast is a top seller but unfortunately I did not try it this round.

The dining experience was truly delightful, marked by the consistently delicious nature of every dish. A standout among them was undoubtedly the ube French toast, impressively striking a balance between sweetness and a wonderfully soft texture. The silog breakfast offered a rich variety of flavors, with the longanisa standing out for its harmonious blend of sweet and savory notes. In comparison, the beef tapa leaned towards a tangy profile. The adobo fried rice omelette added a flavorful twist to the meal, although personally, I found the longanisa to be more to my liking.

A notable advantage was the ample parking available. We utilized the website's waitlist feature and were seated after a 25-minute wait, with the added benefit that 20 of those minutes were spent driving. This efficient system added to the overall satisfaction of the experience.

This place is nice & clean. The service is great, they're all very friendly. We tried their dinner on a Sunday around 8pm so there's not a lot of people. We ordered:

Adobo - seems like Ginataang Manok w/o papaya or chayote, the chicken was boneless and some of it were loosed. The taste was okay but home cooked is more tastier for me.
Pork Sisig - I did not like it. It was chopped in a very fine minced. Taste is not that good too. But maybe the fish sisig is better.
Pork Liempo - that's the good one. I love the taste and the small cuts, very tasty.
Pork Steak - cut un small pieces as well and tastes good.
Mango Juice - don't expect too much, it's from a can only.
Ube Orchata - it's alright not amazing.

Serving is quite small! Do not expect too much. All in all, it's like $26/person. Ulam mostly 16 + 3 rice + 6 juice. I'd say I can get this price from somewhere else that's really good and has appetizer already for the same amount.

The only thing that fell short for me was the "bangus sisig." It really wasn't that good. Didn't crisp as sisig should. Could have probably gotten away with canned tuna on this one too since milkfish usually has a distinct flavor (get that bansilog and you'll know what I'm talking about).

Otherwise everything was great. 10/10 will go again and try their other dishes.

Gets packed on the weekend, especially peak hours. Try and go on their off times during weekdays. In which case you may only wait 10-15 mins.

Another restaurant by MFK, another review.

The spot is near the Angels Stadium and is accessible both from the 5 and the 57, and a bit from the 22.

If you are coming in for brunch, I suggest you come in early as the line builds up fast. Check in with the QR code so that you'll be included in the queue.

Coming in you would we a lot of Filipino designs like the wooden spoon and fork, the Last Supper, a Mano Po mural, and so on.

We got Iloco-moco, bangsilog, and bangs sisig with a batch of ube horchatas and longanisa on the side.

My iloco-moco's meat was a bit salty and too dry - it was crispy, however. The fried bangus was huge, fresh, and probably good for two people. The bangus sisig was okay - not the best, but not the worst, just mid. Longanisa was hard and dry. For the ube horchata, man, you have to have two glasses of those - it's goooooooood.

Would I recommend it? Yes, I would just to scratch the curiousity and the hype. But would I come back? Probably, after a 40 mile bike ride at the SART.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR BRUNCH!!!!

Came here with my boyfriend thinking we could have a good time but we were very disappointed. On our arrival, we were given an estimated wait time of about 30 minutes but we ended up waiting over an hour. This was the first red flag. After waiting this long they ended up seating us in a location where every server and cleanup crew would need to come through. Food, dirty plates and servers were constantly in our way while we tried to enjoy our food. This was the second red flag. After ordering the food, we noticed the food arrived in an almost unnaturally and alarming speed. There was clearly not enough time to cook the food when we ordered it. Lolas attempts to make service quick by making your food 30 minutes before you order it. The food was cold and disgusting. It tasted like it had been sitting in the open air for a long period of time. The French-toast especially was soggy, cold, and tasted like it had been made earlier in the day. It had no taste of Ube and we weren't even brought syrup along with it. The waiter was never to be seen until they brought the check. What made matters worse, we ended up sick due to this food. We will not be returning to this establishment and I hope I have persuaded you to never visit this place.

First time coming here, been wanting to see what’s the hype about this resto. Overall, if you are an ube lover, this is not the place for you, but their silog bowls are good. I ordered a bangus sisig to go, I was expecting more of the sisig for $21 but they gave me a little bit with rice on a big container… not sure what was that about. I don’t think I am coming back to this place. At least I know what they hype was about. Not my first selection if I want Filipino food for bfast.

The Mexican- Filipino fusion is interesting, bursting with lots of flavor. Salty, greasy, with sugar items. Definatly a little different for those looking for something unique, but they do have scrambled eggs. I show up when it opened at already like 15th in line, so this place gets packed fast. So just a heads up. But overall, I enjoyed my experience there

Can't help but say I was satisfied eating here and be prepared for long lines if you're not there early. If you're coming for brunch you could be waiting at least an hour. All the food that came out was pretty filling and tasty. Would recommend the French toast and the sisig was 👌.

Food is all hype, whomever owns this establishment, their Lola’s wont be proud, it’s their service, and especially food. They forgot one of our order, had to remind them 2x, waited long for the server just to get our bill. Not only that the food isn’t equal to the price.. maybe I’m spoiled in NYC, but this food isn’t even close to food trucks standard.. ALL HYPE NO SUBSTANCE!! Their Lola isn’t going to be proud 1 ⭐️ out of 10 ..

Joined the waitlist online and got our names called as soon as we pulled into our parking spot. The service here is stellar and the food comes within minutes. Place was full when we went to plan well. I ordered the Silog Breakfast Bowl which has garlic rice, sunny side up egg, tomato salad, and Longanisa. I was craving that so much. Also ordered the house special chicken adobo garlic fried rice wrapped in an omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic and scallions. This food hit the spot in a major way. We ate everything. Would come again when we are in the area because I don’t see many places that serve this type of cuisine in the San Gabriel Valley. Thank you.

Went for both brunch and dinner both times the food was exceptional both times. The Illoco Moco made my Hawaiian girlfriend quite happy and certainly filled me right up. For dinner I got the chicken adobo and she got the bangus. The adobo was good but the bangus was out of this world. She ate the whole fish by herself. If I had tried to eat more than one bite I think she might've bit my hand. The fish that we got did not look like the other reviews and was certainly seasoned properly with a pretty small but noticable kick. The ube horchata is perfect for dinner or brunch the calamansi hibiscus fresca went perfectly with the bangus.

I recently visited Lola's MFK, a Filipino and Filipino fusion restaurant. While the atmosphere was nice and the staff were very attentive with quick service, the food we ordered was underwhelming and bland. My wife ordered the Adobo Omelette and I ordered the Iloco Moco, but unfortunately, they did not meet our expectations. The Calamansi Juice lacked the distinct taste of Calamansi, the Adobo sauce was just plain gravy and on the bland side, and the Garlic Rice didn't have the expected garlic flavor.

Despite the service being great, we cannot recommend this restaurant to others due to the underwhelming food. If the restaurant can improve the flavor profiles of their dishes, it would greatly enhance the dining experience.

A group of us were in Anaheim for the NAMM Show 2023 and were really craving Filipino food. After a long day of walking around, we wanted more than your standard turo-turo place. Lola's came highly recommended by many on the SoCal Filipinos Facebook Group. But of course, Lola's is a brunch place. Enter Pacita's...the dinner restaurant!

Pacita's doesn't have a huge menu, but that's okay. Because everything they offer has been delicious! I personally loved they had vinegar, banana ketchup, the all-purpose brown sauce as table condiments. They also had what looked like soy sauce, but I'll bet was actually patis.

We had pancit, coconut adobo chicken, sisig bangus, bistek tagalog, and for dessert, turon brulee & dessert sisig. All of it was so good and so tasty! We've made it official: Every NAMM, we'll have to eat here at least one night.

It was ok, I guess... Got there around 10AM and went on the wait list. We were told the wait was an hour. We got our called 2 hours later. There were empty tables but they said they were setting them up for a couple of big parties. If you have a wait-list, you shouldn't allow big parties to tie up tables. As for the food, I've had better food elsewhere where they don't bring the bill to your table even before you finish eating.

Amazing Filipino brunch. They have a waitlist but it’s worth it and moves pretty fast. The adobo omelette is very filling and savory. I personally would recommend getting an extra egg for the breakfast bowl cause one egg is not enough for all the garlic rice goodness. The ube tres leches french toast was not as sweet as expected but it was really good. Consider asking for extra coconut whipped cream for more sweetness. Ube horchata was pretty good but there was a lot of ice in our cup.

1000% would come back here again

3.5/5. Came on a Saturday around 11 for the first time and there was already a long waitlist because apparently you can join the waitlist online, so that was my mistake for not checking. I was 46 in line so it was a 1.5 - 2 hour wait.

By the time we got in, it was almost closing time, and they had just ran out of the bangus sisig and ube horchata so we didn’t get to try that. We got their ube tres leches French toast, iloco moco, and tapa silog. The ube French toast and iloco moco were good, but the tapa silog was a bit basic (tomatoes, beef, and rice) for its price.
