Corner Bakery

I placed a phone order today and when I picked it up I noticed my sandwich was missing but I had to get back to work, so I said no worries and went back to work. One of the sweet girls had the sandwich made and walked it over to my work!!! She even added a chocolate chip cookie. Thank you to all 3 girls that helped me and to the kind man who made my food, you are all greatly appreciated. The food being delicious was the cherry on top. Thanks again.

Anaheim Hills location: I like their greens & grains salad very much. However, every time (I mean EVERY TIME), their salad ALWAYS mixed with rotten or yellow wilted leafy vegetables 🥺. This picture is better than the past orders. A couple of times, they were really bad, that almost half of the leafy vegetables are rotten and yellow. I didn’t want to drive a distance to return. So, I just picked out the bad leaves. I mentioned this issue to them every time I order, but they seem not to care.

Jennifer was amazing!!! We need more customer service like this!! She offered and helped me beyond expectation. I didn’t know the menus well enough and she was so patient, accommodating, and informative! Normally one would say, “no! We don’t have that.” Or “ No, we don’t do that!” She not only said “We can” but also “how about this instead?” GREAT service!

Went once had a good sandwich. Went again yesterday and my sandwich had two slices of ham a tomato slice and a slice of cheese. Charged me over 3.00 for a soda and the soda machine was out of order. By the time I left it still wasn't working. .they said I could get an iced tea. How about my money back?

We've never been to a Corner Bakery that is so unattended and dirty. The floors were dirty and the bathrooms too. ALL the tables hadn't been picked up and there was several people working at this time. We noticed how dirty it was as soon as we got to the door.....as you can see,hadn't been cleaned either.....the doors were full of fingerprints. Very disappointing. Won't be back here.

A majority of the food didn’t have much flavor and the people working didn’t look like they wanted to be there for the most part :(. My food was lukewarm but a nice lady took it and reheated it, which I appreciated. She seemed like she genuinely wanted to make sure we were all good. I don’t think we will be back though…too expensive for the quality of food we got :((

My overprice sandwich was burnt. I felt like a nuisance when I told them. The portions are very small and very expensive. The people that were working were not happy to be there.

I love this place!
I'm just here for a week visiting and working. And even though I have a beautiful Airbnb, it's still nice to get out and see other people while getting work done. This place had delicious food and almost ridiculously friendly customer service. The employees remember you and say hi and ask how it's been going, even after a couple days. And there are lots of tables inside and on the patio. You never feel pressured to hurry up and go. A perfect place to get some work done and get some delicious food and coffee!

NO SERVICE, food was good, coffee was hot, most tables were empty and not ready to be used, the trays used to deliver the food plates need to be given somekind of militay burial, they are very tired and it shows, rear seating bench is not very welcoming to be used. Hire more people or just shut down!

Pancakes were tasty, bacon was greasy and when on the plate they were touching the cery okd nasty tray, coffee was hot but I had to ask for it, the guy just left it in the kitchen

Food tasted okay. Very basic no frill. Smaller portions than in the past (Pre-Covid) . No side dishes or very limited options (Ala Carte). Baked goods were tasty and fresh, coffee was uhh.

Normally, I really like Corner Bakery, but this last time I went, I was served a sandwich AND a dessert that I didn't order! What a disappointment! I ordered my food "to go", and with gas prices being as they are, I didn't drive back to have them correct my order. Too expensive to do so!!

I haven't been here in a while , mow I know why. First, the place was empty, should have been my first thought... my wife, daughter and myself ordered. Food took a while, but I saw only 3 people working. When we ordered , we were told ice machine was broken at station..we went over to get ice and stood there for a while before 1 of the 3 helped us.. the area that held the drinks was bare..compared to pre-Covid. We sat for a long while before getting our food..The place didn't even have music like it used to so I played off my phone some music that wouldn't offend anyone. There was only 1 other person in the place. We ate, the food was ok but after speaking to my wife and daughter, we will not be going back.... might try a different Corner Bakery to see if the same or was it just the one in Anaheim Hills we will avoid.

The amount on the menu has decreased. They have removed alot of my favorites. This one has, as of recently, some equipment problems that don't seem to be fixed.

Great food always. Even better deals on the app with rewards. Love the breakfast bacon egg and cheddar panini. I will be back for the pick two lunch and a side of the Lemon Chicken Orzo soup.

Tried it again and again there’s a problem. If you eat here 10 times 7 of them you will be disappointed. They should shut it down or get new manager

Worst customer service. There were about 7 people working behind the counter. Cashier on Sunday was brain dead even though he seemed to have guidance. We ordered 2 coffees and a pastry. Coffee orders were wrong. Took forever. The place was filthy. Birds were eating off uncleared tables outside. Will never go back. A joke!

So I'm writing this on the fact we went back a second time thinking the shear lack of competence from the front staff to carry out a basic order was a fluke. This was not the case, this time spectating the staff carry on simple tasks with mass confusion turned into a sort term comedy, then went to disbelief and realization that this store, even with management shrugging at every staff question, was on now on a path to doom. The only thing holding it together is the prepackaged items that come from corporate that come with instructions. I really hope who own this place realizes it has a staffing issue before it's to late.

Always fresh, always delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, they have incredible muffins and mini bundt cakes and cookies, etc. Dine in, take out: and don't forget their house brewed ice tea!

Been a while since I visited a corner Bakery. Used to look forward to their Pesto dishes. However, not only was there not enough sauce to to cover the pasta, the sauce was absolutely flavorless. Wow, what happened to the great tasting Pesto, CB!? I can only assume they changed the recipe or perhaps the cook was new. But the Mac and cheese was just as bland. Three of us threw out the two pesto and one mac and cheese dishes. Chicken was sad as well. Very disappointing.

Worst. Customer Service. EVER!!!
Had a problem with an order so my friend and i call in for help, not only did the person on the phone not really know what they were doing, but the manager refused to come to the phone and help out. We were lucky to get a refund but never got confermation on how long it was gonna take. Never ordering from here again 😑

The food is good and the staff is always friendly but I think it's kind of overpriced. I got a club panini for $10 and it came with 1 slice of turkey and 2 bacon strips. I would understand if it was a carved turkey breast or something, bit this was 1 slice of deli sliced turkey. It literally costs ¢40 at the grocery store. Maybe it was just a mistake when they were making the sandwich, I hope this isn't how they're saving money due to Covid.

If I could give this location a negative # I absolutely would. My daughters and I popped in for dinner on Tues 5/11/2021 on one our busy afternoons of on the go activities...

First of all the service was bottom of the barrel terrible, questions were treated as bothersome and this was as we were ordering, regarding entrée sizing.

I ordered a pasta dish, adding chicken and of course paying extra, barely found 3 sliver pieces of chicken and terrible sauce.

My daughters ordered roasted turkey sandwich kids meal with a side of fruit. Well, when they finally opened their meal containers - they were disappointed. Cheap white bread slices, cut sloppy with a slab of cheap deli slices turkey, didn't look or taste roasted. Oh and we did not receive our side of fruit!!

This place used to be great, but we have given it to many opportunities for redemption. Terrible service, terrible low quality and over-priced food.

Ordered Corner Bakery breakfast via DoorDash. Got a breakfast bowl and the avocados were all black. So just because it’s mixed in with the eggs you don’t serve fresh avocados? This was not an oversight by any means. The cook knew exactly what they were doing.

The line to order was very long and it took a long time to place the order. You can dine inside the restaurant again at this location. The food tasted good. They seemed very understaffed but the staff there were nice given the conditions. They ran out of Dr Pepper so make sure you ask if they have items in stock before you spend almost $3 on a soda.

We’ve been to this location a handful of times and the food is always good. Today we picked up an order and just thought it worth mentioning Sam was a superb cashier/host. She gave us a big wave as we walked through the door. I could see the smile behind her mask. We felt very welcome. She was very efficient in preparing our order. Everything was correct. Her attention to detail was perfect.

Ordered large salads for patio dining. Patio tables were very dirty. The order came up via pager, the food was packaged to go in what looked like small containers. I mentioned that their patio tables were very dirty and they they said they don't clean them unless someone asks. So I asked them to clean the table on their patio. After waiting about 5min while holding our food in the bag, they never came out to clean it. We took the food and left. The salads were tasty, but smaller servings. With Covid, one would think they would be diligent in cleaning their tables to promote business.

2 visits in past 3 days. The counter service/servers were outstanding. The food on the other hand was inconsistent. The pesto pasta was nothing like the other OC Corner Bakery Cafes. As for the breakfast wrap, the bacon was soggie, again inconsistent with the other OC Corner Bakery Cafes. Hence 2 Stars.

It was ok. I was so disappointed because I always eat at other Corner Bakerys and have always loved it. I totally sold my kids on going there one day while out and when we got our food it just felt processed, bland and totally not worth the build up. Idk what the deal was with this place it was just so sad and either not like how I rememberd it or just a bad store.

I have had better food at other Corner Bakery Cafe locations. I waited for almost 10 minutes at online order pick up before getting asked how I could be helped, even though there wasn't a line in ordering. One of the staff seemed uninterested or had gone through a bad day, but the manager was very polite.

The reason for the disliked review is the food. The service was good. The employees were very nice and professional. Our child got pasta with a meatball. Pasta was luke warm and the meatball lacked flavor. My ham and swiss sandwich had too much mustard making it very hot and unenjoyable. The bread was just ok, the ham was good, but the cheese tasted old not fresh. Cheddar broccoli soup was lacking flavor and was lack luster. Club panini reminded us of cheap cold cuts you could get at your local grocery store. The food ended up giving all of us indigestion and in the morning not feeling great. The restaurant hasn't been updated since it opened and it shows with torn/cracked seats and worn down furniture. This location is looks like it's headed for a downward spiral including the food. Corner Bakery needs to step up their game and get their food up to par so they can afford to update the restaurant.

Took 20 minutes to make our food when they werent busy, never told us it was ready so we had to ask ourselves, and then on our way across the street the cheap paper bag they gave it to us in tore and the cheap containers all ripped and smeared everything on the sidewalk. Never wasting my time here again.

I love this location in Anaheim Hills. It's clean, organized and staff are very friendly. I cannot say the same for the Irvine location though. That place is a mess and I'm not sure why considering it's in Irvine.
