Panera Bread

Fantastic location! There is a great amount of seating outside that is nicely blended with shade and sun; easy access from the parking area as well, which has plenty of spaces.

The Deli Turkey sandwich is divine! The mustard sauce is delicious and the bread is light and easy to enjoy all flavors in the sandwich.

The flatbread is a good option if you want a pizza hybrid type of meal.

I would highly recommend this location to anyone in the area based off of the quality of food and the cleanliness inside and out….a great experience!

I have been a fan of Panera Bread before the introduction of pizza in 2006 and have used the location in Anaheim Hills for many years, generally ordering pick-up. My go-to favorite is the Chicken Almond sandwich, followed by certain bakery items. I also favored the pizza products but had not ordered it in quite some time because the quality of the product had seen better days since it’s introduction, but this time I decided to try it, hoping they had improved on the quality. Another thing I noticed at this location is the quality of service has deteriorated significantly, except for the front counter staff who always seemed helpful with a smile.
I placed my order online and arrived at the designated time (4:00 p.m.) for pickup. They have what is called Rapid Pickup and I looked and did not see the order initially, so I went to the window. I’m standing there looking at two employees, who just ignored me completely, so I went back to the Rapid Pickup and found my order on the bottom shelf, which was not hot any longer, but room temperature. Again, this is not the first time I have experienced this kind of service at this location. Many times, I had to ask my order status, only to discover it was sitting on the interior table waiting to be moved to Rapid pickup and when handed to me, I got the impression that I was disturbing the preparation staff.
I have the remainder of a gift card, which I will use to purchase bakery items, even though some of their quality has also gone downhill. After that I will take my trade elsewhere where the food is better along with the service. See pictures below of what is advertised and what I received after re-heating.

A pretty nice Panera located in a high end shopping plaza just off the highway. We ordered via kiosk and had our food in about ten minutes. In addition to the large dining room, there’s a pleasant large patio with shade and some larger tables with umbrellas. Great for people trying to take precautions against Covid.

I had the seasonal strawberry salad along with a fresh chunk of bread, while my husband had the Asian sesame salad. The location was out of Romaine so we both substituted other greens, which was fine. Our son had a large macaroni and cheese. On another necessary note for travelers, the women’s bathroom was clean and functional.

The food is decent. For me it's very hit or miss. There's some things I like a lot and others I don't like at all. The hot sandwiches are pretty good but I'm not a huge fan of the cold ones. The flatbread pizza was more bread than pizza but the flavor was ok. Out of everything, the soup is my favorite, especially the chicken noodle. I do think it's a little overpriced for what you get though.

This crew are like those in the sleeping town. It is not that they don't care, or care; just in an ongoing siesta. They don't want the job, but they don't like to lose the job. Either way doesn't bother them. And the joint is mostly empty or dispersed. To the owner it is like they could open or close it, while having caffeine, sugar or whatever please their day!

Very disappointed in the service I sat in the corner so me and my family wife and daughter can have a private meal and the employee was cleaning moving chairs around getting close to our table with chemicals. I asked him why wouldn’t you close the section off when you’re gonna clean? He says he was not allowed to climb from underneath the table went and grabbed box full of chemical wipes that were left on the table. I will never come here and eat again Panera you lost Customer who wants to have dinner with someone’s vacuuming and cleaning and coming really close to your table I was disgusted .

Almost always a seat available here. Most people get their food to go but we enjoy sitting here and dining in while the food is hot.
Tables are always clean and it’s a great place to come sit and use their wifi to get work done. It’s usually nice and quiet in here so I’ve dined in and worked for awhile.
Downfall and I know it’s not this locations spot but the food is pricey. $42 for 2 small sandwiches and a tiny bowl of Mac and cheese is a little absurd. It’s not filling. Panera is getting a little out of hand with their pricing

Panera - Anaheim Hills location. Extremely unprofessional! My take out order was completely different from what I ordered/paid for. (lesser value) When I called the store, the manager refused to come to the phone. I called back and was hung up on repeatedly. I WILL be calling corporate to report this. I will never do business there again.

I was at this location last Wednesday, and my wallet was stolen. I didnt realize it was gone until I received an alert from my bank that there were 3 transactions attempted on my debit and credit card. They do have cameras & I asked to view them. The GM is the only one that can, & would be in the next day. I spoke with her, & she said she would review the video, & call me back. It is now the following Monday, & I never received a call. I realize I will never get my wallet back. I just expected some common curtesy to at least call me back to let me know what was on the video.

$16 for a cold turkey sandwich. WOW! I could have bought a whole loaf, deli turkey, lettuce and had enough to make 12 sandwiches at that price! No cheese. Lots of mayo!!! Final cost with a regular Pepsi $20.49 for ONE sandwich and ONE soda !!!! I never got called or mobile alert that my order was ready. The woman, perhaps she was the manager, completely ignored me. If her paycheck was customer review based, then she might actually try to be helpful and friendly to the customers instead of ignoring everyone. Without customers theres no business or income. Terrible customer service after ordering. The young ladies working the order/registers were friendly.

Hate the machines where you need to put in your own order. Extremely confusing, which gives me anxiety. This location also always has the thermostat at freezing temperatures, where my friend and I got to the point that we jokingly said they were icicles growing on our noses. Other than that, food is very good. Just make sure to be prepared to put your own orders in, and wear a parka, gloves, scarf, boots, and a beanie when going to this restaurant.

I don t recommend coming here at night. The hours say they close at 9pm and they had almost everything put away at 8pm and the service was horrible. The girl that took our order was in a rush and rude. Then, when we got our soup and Mac and cheese it was literally cold. I asked them to warm it up and they sent me to a microwave on the floor. Wow! In addition, as I m sitting and eating my food, another little boy ordered Mac and cheese and the same thing happened to him. So, then one of the workers at 8:30pm says, we should just close the doors. So rude!

Ordered a half caesar salad for take out, as soon as I took the dressing container off the top I found this really gross thing in there. I have no idea what it is, looks like something off the bottom of someones shoe. Salads from there are very hit and miss anyway, but this is disgusting. I threw the salad away and will never order from there again.

It would have been nice for a sign to say that or maybe its the new thing and I just havent been to a restaurant in a while. We ordered chicken noodle soups for 4 people with drinks. I paid $ 43 dollars. Each soup bowl ypu can immediately see its all broth and 2 tablespoonfuls of noodles and bits of chicken. Its the most expensive soup Ive ever had!!.

Im not normally a review person, but I have just had the best experience at this Panera! The lady in the morning, Anna is so nice she helped me get my sandwich right. Apparently, you can get the sandwich with scrambled eggs or over easy. I dont like the over easy way I havent been told this at other Panera Breads and have been disappointed when I ended up with over easy also she told me about there unlimited drinks subscription where you only pay like $12 a month and can get coffee or a fountain drink every day. So cool! Thank you Anna for taking the extra time! You cant find people like this anymore theses days.

Went to Anaheim hills location after a long while, had a most terrible experience ever. Ordered a full size Asian sesame salad with chicken, insead got a half size at full price, two small pieces of shaved chicken, soggy lettuce, no cilantro or toasted almond. Raised the issue with the manager, he said the salad looks good to him then added, when we buy a bag of lettuce we dont know whats in it, we dont want to waste produce (meaning they use the soggy lettuce in the salad). Asked for the refund, was told no refund. The manager was extremely rude, unprofessional and argumentative. Will never go to there again.

I havent been in awhile. I ordered the green godess cobb. Old lettuce and the salad was small. I did not like the flavor, something was missing . Oh yeah.. the chicken. Needless to say, $14 salad, missing chicken and stale piece of French bread. I dont think Ill be back for another few months. Maybe it will be better..

Ok, so Panera has always been a hit or miss, its either good or garbage. The food that I DID get was very good, sorry to say that I dont know what the half barbeque chicken salad is because they didnt bag it. And wouldnt deliver what they didnt bag. And tried to force me to go to the store for a refund. Safe to say I wont be using this location again. At least not for delivery.

As always this place has delicious food. Ive always enjoyed Panera Bread and even though its my first time to this particular location its no different than the rest. They had indoor and outdoor seating with heaters which was excellent experience since there was so many of us we decided to sit outside and we did not freeze.

My husband has the monthly unlimited sip club subscription . Well, their drinks are not fresh. He drank the agave lemonade (nothing else) which I tried and I told him it tasted funny. Well, within 30 minutes of drinking it, he began to wretch and vomit! Ruined his day We told the staff there the next day and the only response he got was, sorry

Usually one of the better Panera Breads in the neighborhood, but not today. Place seems like its going down on both food quality and customer service. Talked to night manager (Grace) for black gunk on my pizza. She kept referring to the black stuff as to natural blackening of the flatbread when it was processed at the manufacturers. I knew what she was saying but this was not just over toasted bread. It was a tar like substance, which I showed to her by rubbing my fingers together and showing her in fact it was sticky, ball of black gunk. I referred to her that maybe her pizza ovens were dirty and she snapped at me saying No, we cleaned them in the morning. She then sort of offered me a remake of the pizza, but with a very negative connotation. You want me to remake your pizza or you can do whatever you like. Lol this night shift manager on 12/19 name Grace was either on something or was that time of the month. Super rude, so I asked her to just give me a refund as the ovens did not look like it was cleaned in a while, crusted black all over. She then gave me more of that hilarious attitude while processing the refund. She did not apologize even once in this entire transaction. Funny how people who are suppose to lead others in catering to customers acts this way. Such a shame to see this kind of negativity and unprofessional face from Panera bread. This was a good location, will be speaking with corporate and hopefully get some internal training over there and perhaps additional cleaning maintenance? Ruined my families night and appetite, hope she gets to eat some of her own cooking in the future. Word of advice, dont try to cover up sloppiness by demeaning customers by lying to them. I didnt want to make a scene in front of her employees but she needs to take responsibility. Many people who go there are well educated unlike some, so dont think your above people because of your title. (Which means nothing to me, but a whole lot to your employees who are watching you.)

Came here today for the soup and half sandwich special, because I did not say the exact words Panera Duets, I was charged $3.00 more than the $7.99 special price. The manager blamed it on Corporate! Then said if we came back to him after eating, (even though we had the receipt in hand), he d refund the $3.00. Stupid!!!

Went to Panera for the first time in a while looking to switch it up from my usual. Food was average, not great but not bad although a little pricey. I can say the dining area was fairly nice with trendy but comforting lighting and a cool feel, although the music was quite loud and distracting while trying to work in what I assumed would be a peaceful environment I can t imagine conversation would be great with it so loud either.

I love this place, but was very disappointed this time. I ordered the steak sandwich with white cheddar cheese. Thats all it said on the menu. What I got was the steak sandwich with white cheddar cheese, horse radish and pickled onions. Slightly changed the whole taste! Better inquire what theyre adding to it. Am going to write to their corporate office: they need to list what goes into the so there are no surprises!

NOT A PLACE FOR COFFEE. The coffee was very light. Tasted like water. Please boost it up. I tried all of them and they were all the same. I just started the coffee subscription and was quite disappointed. The stars were for the nice people there. *** I reduced this from 2 stars to 1 star *** I told the people weeks ago about the coffee but nothing was changed. I ve been to other Panera s since then and noted that the watery coffee is unique to this location. 8/30/21

~A Cautionary Tale~ We were greeted politely, as usual for Panera protocol, but the restaurant was totally empty... at 6pm on a Saturday evening! The food was very good, again as usual, but there was no wait service after we placed our order. This, I expect, was the order of business for many restaurants and eateries on the 2nd day of Californias opening for business as usual, as owners & managers struggle to welcome their customers back with less than normal operating resources. My advice? PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH THE RESTAURANTS YOU VISIT AS THEY STRUGGLE WITH STAFFING, FOOD SHORTAGES, AND OFTEN FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FROM THIS VERY LONG, HARD 15 MONTHS OF SHUTDOWN. They are all trying desperately hard to provide their customers with the best possible dining experience. Be thankful for those that survived, and hopeful that their employees will be willing and able to rejoin them in their efforts. Supportive loyal customers are essential to restaurant business survival in California now... lets do our best to help! KUDUS TO CA CUISINE!

I placed an order and they messed up on my order. I called so they can correct my order the manager told me no that they were closing. They were still there when I went it in, I asked if they could politely remake it and he stated no he could not along with not giving me my money back. Ordered the pick two, a half salad and half sandwich. The salad was supposed to be a mix but was 4 pieces of kale with 1/2 small container of dressing. My avocado turkey BLT was dry with no mayonnaise, hard, unripened avocado that I threw away. The tomato was the end piece with the core piece still on. Will never eat there again for the price.

They dont bring your food to you . Very automated. If I wanted to get a Del Taco experience I would have gone to Del Taco! The food was good though

This location in Anaheim hills is great. They have a great management team and employees. Not like other Panera locations I been to. If you need to eat oatmeal ( per doctors order. ) you need to come here. Its not like a pre made cardboard oatmeal container where they add hot water like other restaurants.

I was very pleased with my sandwich. I typically go to other coffee shops that are easier to find, but I am glad I came into a Panera and I will be coming to other Paneras more often.

The whole staff here was so sweet to my little boys. They talked to them, took extra time on the order, and even slipped us a kids yogurt from there kitchen. This kind of customer service is why I keep coming back to Panera. Thank you.

This place is pretty clean and I love the healthy sandwich options. I come here with my two year old and they are nice enough to cut the crust off her sandwich for her and the kids sandwiches come with a little Stonyfield yogurt tube. The employees have been nice in my experience and do a good job of keeping the tables picked up so you dont have to sort through any sticky tables. Most of the outside areas are shaded so its nice to eat al fresco when it isnt windy. It can get a little loud inside, but thats just luck of the draw. Sometimes you get one person outside that projects their business to everyone who isnt deaf. I guess thats anywhere though. Overall, it is a pleasant experience. I like how I can type in my own order if there is a line, or order from my phone and do a rapid pickup if were on the road running errands. This place never lets me down.

Great place for quick lunch with co-workers. Really like the variety of teas and juice concoctions. First time having the Cuban sandwich. Insides were tasty, bread was great, but they dont press the sandwich or grill it in anyway. So if youre expecting a traditional Cuban this is not the place to get it.
