We used aleppo for catering last year and they didn't have restrictions as long as 25 kabobs were ordered. Their website says $9 chicken $6 beef kefta kabobs, with a minimum of 25 kabobs per order. I tried to order 30 kabobs 15 of chicken and 15 kefta. I was told the price on the website was wrong and that it's actually $12 per chicken, $9 is for an order 25 chicken kebabs only. Apparently I could have placed an order for 25 chicken and 5 kefta and the pricing, that would have been honored, but they couldn't honor 15 each?! The website is unclear and they should have honored the pricing online while the corrected their website. Gonna use another restaurant

been to aleppo many times growing up and living in socal, hadn't been in a few years and they moved (i'm late to the game). i'm not sure how i feel about the new location. i liked the hidden one on brookhurst st in the heart of little arabia. it transported me overseas. this one is nice but feels very khaleeji modern. maybe i'm just a sucker for nostalgia.

anyways, the kibbeh nayeh is still so delicious. 10/10 recommend. i begrudgingly shared with my family of 6 but that's all i really wanted to eat as my dinner lol. the cheese rolls were good only had a bite because i gotta watch my gluten and dairy intake. the meats on the platters slapped. and they are shareable plates in my opinion. we got apps and salad to share so those two plates were enough for the 6 of us. the ashta was good but two bites in and i was sugared out. i recommend sharing that with at least a few other people or someone who loves sugar.

service was decent, we came on christmas day for dinner and it got slammed right around 6 so then our server was overwhelmed. understandably. no place to pray is also quite disappointing. my brother asked for like a quiet corner or rug to borrow, didn’t even need to be a room but nothing. that’s another reason why little arabia was better, down the street from a masjid.

We ordered their house special, Kabseh and their mix platter. The mix platter was good and fresh, however I can’t say the same for the Kabseh. It was lukewarm warm and seemed not so freshly made. It was also disappointing we were not able to pray on the premises. We asked one of the servers for a space to pray and were told they have no such accommodation. We ended up praying outside the restaurant. I guess they only have halal food and no halal accommodation.

I came to this place 5 years ago and the food blew my mind. It was authentic syrian and tasted so good. I came here yesterday and i was disappointed. The kibbeh was probably cooked last week and served to me. Chicken shawerma “syrian style” came with lettuce and did not taste like shawerma. I was very disappointed. I shouldve never came back here and left the great taste of the restaurant from 5 years ago linger on.
It is sad to see how it went from authentic to Americanized!
Sadly I dont recommend this place if you are looking for good aleppo/ syrian experience.

incredible food, and great portion sizes. i loved their mocktails! They accommodated my dietary restrictions alright, (some dishes like salads were premade so i had to skip) but i wish they had gluten free or dairy free dishes marked on the menu. our waiter was knowledgeable about ingredients and preparation, but they had just one waiter working the whole back patio - it seemed like wayyy too much to do for just one (albeit very skilled) waiter. the atmosphere was very nice, however it may be a dicey choice for anyone trying to quit smoking. the back patio was a hookah lounge as well, and just about every table had at least one setup going - the smell could get a little strong if youre sensitive to it. but, everyone in my party enjoyed their meals, and the apps / deserts we shared. we all had a great time!

Huge disappointment from the restaurant!

We ordered grilled cheese with watermelon and herbs, it was delicious.

I ordered a beef kebab, it was terribly dry, like the rice for it, the vegetables were clearly not fresh.

My partner ordered Syrian Ravioli. The sauce was delicious, but the filling (meat) in the ravioli was also dry.

Also, there was one waiter for the whole restaurant, whom we had to wait a long time to ask for the bill.

Aleppo Kitchen is one of the best places to enjoy real authentic Mediterranean food ! I have been to a lot of authentic places and this one by far has the most fine touches ever .
It sounds like it is run by real authentic hands , fresh Hummus, delicious meat Pie , perfect spices mix .
I was also impressed how clean and organized from inside and outside , that outside Patio is very relaxing too especially at the sunset .
The staff was courteous and professional with warm touches , I was greeted by the owner Abu-Sami and his kind wife who made me feel at home .
I truly believe it is one of the best places in California to dine in and chill at night .

The ribeye is dry and not flavorful on the hummus. It’s also cut in strains which makes it even more dry.

Super clean and nice interior, and the food was literally cooked to perfection.

Even the fries were lightly battered and seasoned, adding flavor and extra crisp. The chicken was super moist and juicy (even though it was white meat) and seasoned perfectly. Nothing was overly seasoned or salty. Everything was perfectly seasoned and executed. The rice was also flavorful with perfect texture. The plate was pretty big I couldn’t finish it, the wrap was good enough for one serving. I loved the Syrian seasonings they used for the chicken and the Aleppo pepper they sprinkled on the rice.

The food is not cheap but worth every penny based on the quality of food you get.

The food is good and the service is pleasant, however:

The top of the menu clearly states the wraps come with fries. I was charged separately for fries because at the bottom the menu then switches to say fries cost extra. When I pointed out that the heading literally and plainly says fries are included, management refused to remove the charge. Charging for something you state is included is an unfair, misleading, and I'd suggest possibly illegal business practice, regardless of the literal small cost.

I always order food from here and mostly the kibbeh niye which is great . Placed an order yesterday for 4 kibbe niyye and a plate of kibeh kabob and 4 plates of dolmas. Omg first of all my uncle drove to pick them up got home they forgot to put the 4 kibble niyye. Then I was calling no answer for like 30 min then finally someone picked up. Got my cousin to drive up there 30 min away and finally got home . And omg could not even eat the kibble niyye I don’t know what happened it was so spicy to a point it was disgusting. I don’t know if meat was old and trying to cover it up with spicies but that was disgusting we threw them out. They never make them like that. Then called to let them know and her answer was oh I don’t know maybe it was a new chef. Wow ok.
The dolmas were nothing special ok and the kibbeh kabob same nothing special

Homos had a weird taste, so I asked to change it to lebna dip, which had a weird taste as well, apparently it was cheap old olive oil they used on top. The bbq plate, what a joke, we paid $30 for 3 half skewers, rice was awful, taste like when you cook rice and leave it in the fridge for 2 days then warm it up with some water, never had such a bad rice in a middle eastern restaurant.
Cheese wraps are also warmed up to the point the ends were burnt, coming of the freezer as well. The worst food and waaaaayyyy overpriced.

Seem like a good restaurant at first as soon as we walked in. Waited for about 10 minutes and still no one sat us down. So I took the initiative grabbing couple menus and sitting down at a table with my family without a server. Then waiting for another five minutes the female server finally comes and says did you take a seat yourselves. I said yes of course we waited for 10 minutes even said is there anybody back there no response so I figured that we take a seat ourselves. The server seemed kind of cranky right at the beginning, and seemed like she was just in a rushed to either go home, or she does not like working there at all. We ordered the food, and they gave us the food without any utensils at all, and the meat was so tough hard as a rock. This is not a 4.2 star but a zero star. There was literally only two people sitting down when we arrived there was no excuse for them to make us wait over 15 minutes.

The waiter said, how was the food in the middle of us eating we told them that the meat was tough and all they said was sorry instead of saying here let me remake that for you. Overall very bad terrible customer service, disrespectful to customers, and will never eat here ever again.

All the good reviews are false they are not true. They probably created false accounts to bring up the restaurant to a 4.2 star when in reality it’s literally a zero star.

Also, I forgot to mention the Shawarma there the bread was hard as a rock barely any meat, so dry, couldn’t even swallow my food properly. This restaurant will eventually go out of business.

I was brought to this restaurant today of someone else's volition, and I am so very glad I went. For an appetizer, the table got the Mediterranean Dip Trio, and it was amazing. All of the dips were incredible, the hummus being the best I've ever had. It was so creamy. For an entree, I had the Gyro Lavash Wrap, which was great but outperformed by the fries. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the outside. Although not usually taken note of for restaurant reviews, the music choice was elite. My compliments to whoever was on the aux. It was a perfect blend of rock, indie, alternative, and pop, with old hits and new bops.

Hummus: 10/10
Baba Ghanoush: 8.6/10
Muhammara: 8.9/10

Gyro Lavash Wrap: 7.8/10
Chicken Shawarma: 9.3/10

Great Syrian food. Always have to make a special trip here for some good Syrian food. Quite a few good items from the menu here but there are a couple which could be better. Tip amount though should be based on total before taxes and not after taxes which is not the case here.

I went to your new location in Newport Beach. In all honesty the meat quality was pretty bad. The meat was brown in color when it was pulled out of refrigerator. I had to immediately cancel that order when I saw the quality of meat being used. Didn’t look fresh at all. The salad drawing was really off too. Didn’t have proper olive oil, lemon, and mint kick to it. Rice was average at best also. Seems like the only way to get high quality beef is to go to a Japanese or Korean BBQ place where they use prime beef and prime Wagyu. No brown meat comes to you from there and you can see the marblings from the beef there but having a middle eastern background myself I can sort of understand how the majority of the middle easterners either wouldn’t know or appreciate the difference in quality as to them quantity comes first. I have been to many middle eastern restaurants but unfortunately I have yet to find one that can match the beef standards served in either a Korean and Japanese BBQ beef restaurant. Second part of review is for new location

Food was excellent. Had a very unique salad. The dolmas were really superior and the rice was creamy. Chicken kebob was moist. Also very huge lunch portions we could have split a dish. Definitely will return.

Was there before the concert at Honda Center, great Syrian/Turkish restaurant with excellent food, great service, and atmosphere (if you enjoy outdoor hookah), the lamp is excellent.

Food isn't bad, a little expensive for what you get but it's a nice change for the area.

Mansaf and the soujouk flatbread are to die for. I am not sure if the Mansaf is authentic because I’m not jordanian, but it was incredible.

I really wanted to give a five star review but several things happened that let me give less
We were on a family vacation and wanted a Mediterranean authentic restaurant.
When we first came in we asked to sit outside cause we wanted to have a Hookah . They said they couldn’t seat us outside cause we had kids and it was against the law. It’s clearly untrue because other restaurants we had no issues sitting outside with the kids and Hookah.
For the food we ate it was amazing except for 2 major things. When we asked for more pita bread they said it will be a dollar for every extra one we wanted ( found that very cheap on behalf of the owner)
The Tabouleh was very sour and told us that it’s premade and is always the same

Horrible service. Walked in and the employee saw us and walked away without saying anything. Waiting for 10 minutes and no one came over or said anything to us. Maybe you have to wait 30 minutes but the place was empty.

Very good food! We did not know that they don't serve alcohol, but enjoyed the alcohol free mixed drinks instead.
Food was awesome. Great flavors and beautiful presentation. They got busy at the end of our meal and it took some time to get the check. Our servers were otherwise very friendly.
Would recommend Aleppo's to anyone looking for a great meal without alcohol.
