I was lucky enough to win a business card raffle and got a free catering meal. I had only gone to DonerG once before this and the DonerG Bomb was really good! Mediterranean food is one of my favorites and this catering meal came with the chicken, beef, rice, salad, and a bunch of sauces plus the pita bread. I had a delicious dinner with family and now I plan on getting a catering tray for my birthday this year! I can't wait. Thanks DonerG Anaheim!

The food here is tasty. The employees are welcoming and friendly. However, I prefer the Doner G in Irvine/ Tustin area. The food at this Anaheim facility did not empress me. At the other location I though I found the best falafel ever and the food is fresh n hot!

I've avoided coming into this location. Even though it's close to me. I didn't want to ruin the great tasting experience I had in Irvine.

Don't go here unless you want to wait forever for subpar food

We live really close by so we've tried to give them a few chances both with take out and dine in, always come out disappointed. Orders for take out are always wrong and eating in takes a really long time (minimum 20 min wait) considering it's chicken rice bowls. The food is also not great, we only gave it a few chances because it's one of the few "healthy ish" options in the area.

Today was the last time, though. Walked in and there was only one person before me so I figured it wouldn't be too long. Waited for 10 minutes only for them to take the order of some random person that walked in after me.

Location in Irvine is a million times better

The first time I tried a Döner Kebab was in Stadthagen, Germany, and from that very first bite, I knew it was the best sandwich I would ever taste. During my months of living there, I indulged in nearly one Döner a day, fully aware that this luxury would eventually come to an end when I returned to the states. I still remember gazing out of the plane window heartbroken, as the faint twinkle of my favorite Döner shop faded into the distance.

Back home, I began chasing that high. I spent an entire summer obsessively trying to perfect the traditional fladenbrot (Döner bread). Every failed attempt only fueled my determination. I needed that taste again, I craved it, I had to have it.

A few days ago I arrived in Los Angeles, ready to start a new chapter. Yet, that unforgettable sandwich lingered in my mind. Could I possibly find a Döner here? I quickly pulled out my phone and opened the maps app, and there it was… DonerG. My eyes widened, and I gasped. A Döner shop? In LA? Could it possibly compare to the authentic ones I munched every day in Germany? I had to find out.

Walking into the restaurant, I was greeted by two of the kindest staff I’ve ever encountered. Despite my skepticism, when the food arrived, it looked authentic. It smelled authentic. I snapped a quick photo, but I couldn’t wait any longer.

That first bite was a rush of euphoria washing over me. One that could only be described as peace. Every flavor, every texture, transported me back to that first Döner I had so long ago. This was it. This was exactly what I had been longing for.

If DönerG offered a lifetime membership, I would pay any price. The food isn’t just a 10, it makes LA a 10. Whether you’re a homesick German or a curious tourist craving something new, DönerG is the place to go.

Beef was super dry. I got the DonerG original fladenbrot. First and last time since the beef was soo dry. There were fly's all over the restaurant. Not impressed. Will be looking for a different kebab restaurant in the area.

I was working and staying in the area for two nights, so I searched Google Maps to find a place where I could get a healthy salad to go. Well, I liked DonerG so much the first night that I went back again the next day. The salad platter is really delicious with such fresh ingredients. Over the two days, I tried the garlic white sauce, the red chili sauce, the serrano sauce, and the Iskender sauce, and I like the latter two the most. I had both the lamb and beef kebab and the chicken doner, and both were very tasty. The price is a little high for a fast casual bowl, but the freshness, healthiness, and taste are worth it to me.

We stop by this location every time we visit California, sometimes going 1-2 hours out of our way. It is difficult to come by Turkish Döner this authentic in the entire south west.

DonerG makes delicious Turkish food. My Iskender Kebab Plate was full of flavors when I got it home. I thought the pita given soaks up the flavorful goodies and juices.

Great portions for the price!

Leftovers were a repeat treat, too. Got two meals for the price of one because the portion size ended to be enough-is-more.

Because my order was missing the baklava, service, unfortunately, is a 3 stars this time. This mistake came as disappointment for my first-time visit. But these things happen.

It doesn't take away that the food here is flavorful, cultural, and unique among the rest of the restaurants in Anaheim.

I shall return to try other dishes!

Meat = DRY .
Portion = extra small
Fries= soggy due to the to go container which is completely covered.

The doner wrap was unfortunately underwhelming.

This was for my 6 foot brother and for all that I paid basically 20 dollars. No drink was ordered. First time and last time. Not returning sorry. Kind employees and cool concept, though! Hope it changes. Kolay gelsin 🫶

Never have a been here and gotten a bad experience till today, guy making my food was very disheartening towards me for taking my time to order $60 worth of food, even threw the receipt at me. Ill have to go to other doner g’s or find a better option.

I come here fairly often for dinner, really great food and service. The location is never packed so it's easy to sit down and have dinner there. The only complaint is the location, going for dinner is hit or miss with heavy traffic in the area they are located.

So, it’s been a long while since I had Doner. While looking for shawarma lunch while
In the Anaheim area, I was glad to find this Turkish restaurant called DonerG. It was a big disappointment to find out they don’t serve Doner…there was an option between chicken and beef shawarma. No Doner…. Anyways I asked for Doner (google: Classic döner kebab, et döner, consists of a heavily seasoned mixture of beef and lamb that is pureed into a paste, shaped into a log, and finally slow-roasted for hours on a vertical spit to juicy perfection. ) and got shawarma.
It was below average average shawarma and portion was very small.
Don’t come here if you’re looking for Doner. They should change the misleading name..

First looks, okay this is a weird strip mall with a lot of vagrants. Whatever it's Anaheim I can deal with that.

Then the initial ordering. Staff wasn't particularly knowledgeable about their menu. I ordered, they told me I don't pay until I get the food, so I went outside to wait for the food with my dog. My husband went in to use the bathroom and was given attitude by staff, it wasn't just a "bathrooms are for customers only" it was the attitude and the way they looked at him was incredibly rude and antagonistic.

They called me in to pay, I had to remind staff what I ordered. I ordered 4 falafel to go with my food at 1.25 each which should amount to 5$ but they went ahead and gave me a 6$ falafel box I really didn't want because "this one comes with a salad" I didn't even ask for. It wasn't even a salad it was pickled radishes.

The food was subpar, the doner meat came out of a bag I watched them cut open.

To top it off, we ate outside on the patio and a staff member decided to sit right next to us to smoke a cigarette. We couldn't taste anything besides cigarette, his phone was loudly playing shows and we couldn't even try to enjoy the 50$ meal together.

1/5 stars for me, there's a lot they need to work on and the quality of food needs to be examined. I am sad I wasted my money on this place.

Cook sat next to my table outside and smoked a pack of cigarettes while on his break, lady manager inside was rude about everything. Food was decent but atmosphere and everything else absolutely sucked

Such fresh ingredients. Amazing falafel wrap. Love the seasoning that they put on the fries. The sauces, especially the house sauce, is sooo good. Service is always fast and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and has lots of places to sit.

-1. They offer a product that they don't know how to prepare and to a certain extent it saddens me that they make fun of those who don't know what it should taste like.
-1. The food they gave me seemed more like a Mexican lunch. The sauces, the rice and the flavor have no relation to the product they offer.
1-. I guess the good reviews are from the people who write to get a piece of dessert.
It was a frustrated lunch... I feel cheated.
