Had a bad experience on the 25th December.
Our friends who live in Irvine they recommended it although had a reservation but after arrival it took them 10 minutes to seat us 6 people ,we were placed in a very bad atmosphere 10 plus hookas extremely loud ,people were so loud plus waiters were colle tong tables China by throwing them 😳 in a plastic bucket ,very rude and unprofessional way of cleaning tables which most of these middle eastern background managements do and no one writes a bad teview about this ,that tossing utencils and china is so nerve stimulating for everyone ,like as if they were doing it on purpose to make the clients annoyed or leave early .
Literally I stood up three times and went back to the counter to ask someone to change our seat instead of outside I asked inside thinking that it's more quiet at least we can chat with our friends over 15 minutes to seat us inside, although there was an empty table this whole process took 25-30 minutes after that we were expecting at least a waiter to come and take our order, unbelievably no one approached us I didn't even care to send someone to say sorry we are keeping you waiting we will be soon with you nothing the whole restaurant for inside was smelling mold and I have a mold Allergy so I started coughing and my allergy got worse 1/2 our friends walked again to the counter to grab me a bottle of water because the whole table was empty nothing what's place on our table not even single plate anyways long story short after spending around 45 minutes is it called another restaurant by Googling the best one I'm so happy we were all happy we left the timer went to the restaurant the moment we sat down at the moment the waitress clicked on the submit button after 5 not mire than 10 minutes our 8 items food orders were on the table , two extremes so I never never recommend someone to go here I've been here before the food is not good at all plus you cannot find the restaurant if you are a first-time visitor it's hidden in the back and there is no single sign to guide you where is the restaurant .
Very poor management I am sure owners are cheap people, they don't pay good money for the servers and they don't hire enough servers ,shame on them on Christmas day they should have been more prepared.

Oh, btw I highly recommend you to visit ALEPPO's Kitchen if you are in Anaheim where we ended up having a nice classy dinner with arabic middle eastern vibes ,great servers super fast ,high quality 👌 gourmet food .

My girlfriend and I had just came off our flight and needed to eat. We stopped here as it looked good online. We were greeted and seated. Everything looked clean and felt upscale. Our server came and we could tell she did not really want help us, but we still ordered. I asked for the chicken shawarma but they did not have it and she suggested the chicken kebab. I said sure and later the host provided us with hummus for free and we were happy! The host made us feel great! Once we got the rest of the food we enjoyed everything fresh, however our server never checked on us or refilled our drinks. My girlfriend asked later if we can get dessert and asked for baklava. The server laughed at how my girlfriend pronounced the word and later said the kitchen closed. Not sure why she didn’t tell us the kitchen was closing or why she treated my girlfriend the way she did. So overall, food was great! Host was amazing! Our server was not really nice but she did her job. Definitely get the falafels!

Our Order Details:
We arrived in a family of 6 for a dine in experience, just dinner and no hookah. For starters we had an order of the Cheese Rolls and Spicy potato. We ordered several “Lemon Mints” and Sprites. We also ordered several entree items such as the Castle Grill Plate, 2 Lamb Chops, 2 Ribeye Steaks, and the Beef Ribeye Kebab. For dessert, we ordered 2 Kunafas. Our total came out to $500.01.

PROS:
The food looked and tasted great. Quality of the protein was great across the board and the ribeye steaks were the highlight of the night. The presentation was awesome as well. The Kunafa tasted great as well. The pros end right there.

CONS:
The service was absolutely atrocious and it was like that from start to finish. For some reason, it seemed that they were understaffed. Our server was taking care of several tables so I understand her positioning, but it did not excuse the lack of service received throughout the night. To be honest, the location was not even that packed and it seemed a majority of customers were there for Hookah anyways. Regardless, we didn’t receive our entrees for almost an hour after our order was taken. We received the “Lemon Mint” drinks quickly but they tasted subjectively bad. The Sprites we had ordered never came, and after reminding the server on two separate occasions, they finally arrived well after the entrees had already been served. It felt as though we were being considered an annoyance during our dine in experience, and not guests that would be spending $500 on a single dinner.

RED FLAG:
Now comes the frustrating part, the costs. Both the dining experience and the value of the food did not equate to $500 in any way. For groups of 6 or more, an automatic 20% service fee is added to the total. They also decide to charge a 3% credit card fee on top of that subtotal that has the service fee already included. It sucks that we were forced to give, essentially, a 20% tip for service that wasn’t even worth a dollar! It does seem that once they realize you’re in a group of 6 or greater, that they decide to half-ass the service since they know they already got the 20% tip in the bag. Regardless, the pricing did not match the ambiance or vibe of the restaurant, nor the service. You can drive to Istanbul Grill and get similar, if not better, quality kebabs for 1/5 of the price, all with better service!

TLDR; Extremely disappointed with the service. Nonexistent service. Lack of value for the extremely high costs. Mandatory fees and hidden “credit card” fees leave a sour taste in your mouth. Would not recommend dine in to anyone I love, maybe to my enemies I would. Hope they can learn from this.

We had the chicken kabab, shawarma, hummus trio and falafel plate and all the things were fresh and delicious. I especially liked that everything was spiced and seasoned very well and the falafels were crispy outside and moist inside and very flavorful. Highly recommended

Atmosphere was good but kabab was dry and they brought the one plate first and the another one it took 15 min (you guys should serve the all plates at the same time ) and hookah was okay . Besides all its overpriced , 30$ for kabab is crazy . I used to love this restaurant btw it was amazing but I learned that the management changed and nothing is same anymore.

Excellent grill items. The appetizers were really good as well. We had the Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Kippe and taboule salad. For entrees, we had the Castle grill plate and the Lamb chops. All were equally delicious.

I wasn't really impressed. When i read the menu , i expected to get turkish food or Mediterranean with a twist. I ordered the Iskandar Kabab but they said they no longer serve that. I asked for Adana and the same response i get. I then decided to go with the basic traditional bbq plate that each and every Mediterranean in the city serves.
Below my expectations. What differentiates this restaurant?! Nothing really
The same menu but higher prices oh and they charge 3% extra for credit card payments.
Did i mention the tabbouleh was with no salt. Not even a pinch. It was chef mistake they admitted and served another tabbouleh few minutes later. Their bread is good - home baked.

Would i return? Not really. If I'm craving bbq, i will go to the other restaurant down the road.

We were 7. We ordered 1 big bbq platter and 1 small bbq platter , it comes with its appetizers like hommus and mutabbal and tabbouleh. Each one of us paid 33$.

We chose a table, the cloth was dirty, we asked to get it changed, they did quickly! Appetizers were really good! ( tabuli and fatosh) Food was not to the expectation. We wanted to order a type of drink and a type of food, both were unavailable on Friday night! Chicken shawerma was terrible (not even close to real showerma) Over priced! Visiting from MN! Not recommend at all. Over all! Frustrating experience!

The food is very good and the atmosphere is nice as well. We had a family meal and the value for the amount of food was great. Higley recommended to get the family meal - the rice is extremely tasty as is the chicken, beef and lamb. It is hard to find the restaurant - behind a strip mall. Look for the big sign on the side of the wall at the strip mall and then once you find it you will never forget it.

The food, the music, the price, and the service was good. As a Turk, this is probably the most authentic Middle Eastern experience I have gotten in any restaurant I have been to in the United States. I would definitely recommend to others.

The only negative was the quality of the hookah. I could not get any flavor from the hookah. I am no expert but something must have been wrong either with the tobacco or the device itself. Still a 5 star experience though!

What a fabulous, testy food, hookah is excellent , you got to try the sesame bread, the chef Hidayat came to my table to check on the food, he’s very professional and friendly, barbecue is excellent, don’t forget to try the kenafeh. and the turkish tea.

The Castle doesn't need my review to encourage you to dine at this hidden gem of a restaurant - you have been scrolling through 5 star review one after another. But I want to offer my gratitude.

A group of us were helping our dear friend close a successful local business to start a new adventure. It was a week long project full of packing, hauling, dirt, sweat etc. We were finally finished, happy and hungry and started looking for a restaurant. Most of us are not from the area and a google search told us Denny's was close. Then someone found a reasonably priced upscale restaurant with 4.9 stars only 0.1 miles away. We could walk and didn't have to find a place to park the moving vans.

That's where the experience begins.

The restaurant is nestled behind another business providing a secret get-away feeling. The owner greeted us warmly and we felt welcome despite our work clothes.

The restaurant is lovely.

The menu offers a family meal with multiple hot and cold appetizers. Since we had a party of 10 we ordered multiple family meals. That meant we had 12 different dishes come to the table.

That is when the magic began. For the next 20 minutes I don't think any of us said anything other than, "wow, oh my goodness, this is delicious!"

Ever dish was amazing. Every one. The food was fresh and exciting and each dish was distinctive.

This was easily the best restaurant meal I have eaten in over a decade, and several others said the same.

As for service, the chef came to our table. Basak, his daughter, served us. Wonderful.

After working so hard, the opportunity to have an incredible meal in that beautiful place and to meet such lovely people felt like a gift from heaven.

We drove all the way from San Diego to this place and it really worth it.
It was a buffet during Ramadan and I was amazed how they were so organized and the food was hot and delicious, the customer service was amazing too. They kept going back and forth asking if we need anything and offering us coffee and tea.
The manager was there all the time and he was trying to make sure that everything is going smoothly.
I cant thank you guys enough for everything.

Great ambiance, service, food and not to mention the desserts 😋 Moussa the manager took care of us on a busy night. Got a great table and the Turkish coffee and baklava were a great conclusion. I will be back.

This was my first time since the new management and I have to say it is absolutely flawless from the service to the food it’s outstanding mousa is the General manager he’s super nice and so is the entire staff. You don’t even need to call anyone to the table they are always there asking if you need anything super amazing friendly great for family and hookah is amazing as well
