Omg....food looks AMAZING...I walked in to get sour cream, and cotija cheese to make tacos Dorados 🌮 and this place was beautiful, organized and welcoming..I took picture to show you guys . There a place by the end of the packed foods so you can get your self any utensil you might need. 😉 I 5 stared the place .the food is so clean and fresh .I took a picture of this worker that made sure her area was looking neat and organized 👌🏼 Northgate improved so much....I love it 😀 😍

This was fun. We are from Norway and we’ve never seen a supermarket like this. Specially the fresh food departments. Overwhelming fruit and vegetables. Never seen such range. Nice staff. Good prices. Big parking. #wheelchair friendly. Thank you for a good shopping experience.

When you walk in and look around all you can say is, "WOW!" They have all you need for Hispanic food & drinks and more! There is also a sweet Asian lady making BOMB sushi rolls. You won't see that at Cardenas! I bought a dozen pork tamales, half-dozen chili & cheese tamales, a couple of strawberry tamales, and, of course, a small tray of yummy sushi rolls!

I wish they had one in Utah! "Super Nice" Mexican grocery store, high end quality service and products. El pan dulce is a bit dry and thicker but this would be heaven if everything was perfect!

Wow!! This is a SUPER market. It’s Northgate on steroids! Everything is super sized. We didn’t know where to start. We arrived with empty stomachs and large appetites...bad. We wanted to eat everything in site.
Before doing some shopping, we got some food to satisfy our tummies. We shared some pork pozole, a pork tamale, a Chile/cheese tamale, Chile verde chilaquiles, pupusas and some sweet Mexican bread. Our favorites were the pozole, chile/cheese tamale and the sweet bread. We also had champurrado and Mexican ponche; both good.
Now that we were satisfied, we shopped for some groceries. Everything looked good and fresh. They even had a tamale cooking class going on! We stopped to take some tortas and agua frescas home!
Definitely coming back here!

Yikes worst north gate ever, we bought tamales de elote (way to salty) , we bought rojo (way too dry and old) we got verde (no flavor). We also tried the Jugos de agua , lemon (way to agrio) cucumber (just tasted bad) didn’t buy any since we tried it. There are flies and fruit flies flying every where. The cooked food didn’t even look delicious, rice looked over cooked. They really need to make a lot of changes. The little girls that work there in the cash register looked amargadas we went last night provided bad customer service. Definitely not returning to this location mejor the one in Santa Ana way way better and clean. Oh also where they make the tortas there was a lady wiping down the counter where they make the food with an old dirty wash cloth, um disgusting . Do better north gate you where just built couple years ago. Change staff change management for letting it get this bad. Oh and the sea food area omg smelled bad. I don’t think it’s supposed to smell that bad probably have expired food back there or there just not cleaning that area correctly that the employees are probably use to the smell and can’t tell how bad it smells. Yuck

Store Experience with One Notable‼️

I wanted to share my overall positive experience at Northgate, one of my favorite stores. I find myself visiting this store at least three or four times a week, and it has consistently delivered exceptional quality and freshness. However, I feel compelled to address an unfortunate encounter with one of the employees, specifically the lady responsible for selling the fresh guacamole she is a regular at this station. The shorter lady

While the manager and the rest of the attendants at different stations have always been friendly and helpful, my interaction with the lady in question left much to be desired. I approached her to inquire about the availability of onions and cabbage to accommodate my posole
, only to be met with a rude and dismissive response. She curtly suggested I seek assistance elsewhere, which was quite disheartening given the otherwise excellent customer service I had received throughout the store.

Although I chose not to engage further and promptly left the store, I believe it is essential to highlight this incident. Customers, myself included, appreciate a positive and respectful environment when shopping, and being talked down to is certainly not conducive to such an experience. I sincerely hope that the management addresses this issue and provides the necessary guidance and training to ensure that all employees consistently uphold the high standards of customer service that Northgate is known for.

Despite this isolated incident, I wholeheartedly recommend this particular Northgate location. The quality and freshness of their products are outstanding, and the majority of the staff members go above and beyond to assist customers. It is my sincerest wish that the lady in question reflects upon her behavior and realizes the impact it has on the store's reputation and customer satisfaction. I will get my gac elsewhere

I look forward to returning to Northgate and experiencing the exceptional service that has become synonymous with the brand.

This is a great store. It is so big and fairly clean. There's such a big variety of options here. I like to call this place the "whole food's" of Mexican markets. They have a big hot bar for food as well as a smoothie and drink area. You can also buy tacos and burritos right then and there. They have a small selection of pre-packaged Foods. I also really enjoyed their meat selections. They have really good pricing as well as pre marinated meat if you don't know how to marinate your own tacos and whatnot. I've also ordered cakes from here in the bakery is absolutely delicious

Cada vez cada vez que vengo a esta tienda todos los verduras y las frutas están casi ya bien maduras y algunas hasta podridas incluyendo la cebolla ellos promueven que tienen sus frutas y verduras frescas lo cual no es cierto los limones todo sin jugos y caros yo no recomiendo esta tienda ni volveré a ir a comprar en esta tienda todas sus cajeras tienen muy mal servicio al cliente y rudas

Fist of all normally my experience here is fairly well, however this time I am disappointed in the service with their bakery! I came in on 12/29/23 to order a cake to be picked up on 12/31/23 however the cake was nothing like what I had originally advised the guy I wanted pink flowers with butterflies on the cake and an 8 in it instead had pink swirls on it with butterflies! I spoke with the manager he was nice about the situation as was I, he advised me he can refund money I advised I can pick it up on 1/1/24 since that’s when I originally needed for my daughter’s birthday, I told him I’d pick it up by 12 pm on 1/1/24 I get here mind you 12:24 they advised it’s not ready they were told I’d pick up at 1 pm wth man as if they had already not messed up from the beginning now I have to wait lady told me to give her 20 min! I’m not a happy customer at all and it’s upsetting that even speaking with a manager they still manage to mess up again!!!

Compre milanesa y obvio no la hicieron bien. Pero buenos para cobrar más caros jamás regresaré es perdida de tiempo y dinero y ni cajeros tienen te cobran bolsas y ni empacan. As we know Northgate always has long lines. I was next in line in aisle 4 when the cashier Santiago told me lane 2 is going to open. When I got there the cashier with glasses told me" I'm not going to open". So I had to go back to the end of the line and the waste more of my time. This happened on 4-2-2023 around 6:50. My guess was that's the supervisor, because he didn't have an apron. If that's the way the supervisor treats customers, no wonder why they always have long lines. He didn't even try to acknowledge me when the guy with glasses went and told him something. Just bad service .

Es un buen lugar para comprar tu despensa de la semana o si tienes invitados y no te da tiempo de cocinar, aquí cuentan con paquetes de diferentes guisados y diferentes platillos, por ejemplo: te recomiendo el paquete de carnitas, viene con frijoles, arroz, tortillas y salsa, ahora, tienes antojo de postre 🍨? Ahí cuentan con panadería y pastelería. Tienen precios accesibles, te la recomiendo.

Últimamente aquí es demasiado caro ya, el pan casi a 2 dólares y no vale la pena a veces está muy frío y duro, los bolillos ya son 2 por dólar le quitaron cantidad y la comida echa ya no la hacen rica como antes, y si compras cócteles de camarón casi pagas 20 dls y te ponen más verduras que camarones, la caja exprés de la cocina siempre hay una sola persona y muy lentos para despachar nada amables, ya es una tienda muy cara.

Wonderful market with fresh produce and a great well priced meat section. They even have freshly prepared food, salsa bar, jugo bar. Also love the Central American aisle for a little taste of my childhood.

Only two registers open. One was a 10 item or less. Long line and the last person in the regular line was holding a "register closed" sign. Nowhere to go. Other than that it was pretty good.

I always go to Northgate to get the delicious mexican sweet bread “ojos or besos”, today i went to get some, but there was none sadly, so i was looking for the exit but they had it close, and there was no other way out unless you go through the cashier, so i ask one of the employees if he can open one of the doors so that i can exit the store, he looks at me weird but he agrees to open the door and he says “the key is broken” and then right away he says “ oh never mind here it is” and then as he open the door he says “you are not stilling anything right” i went into shocked when he said that, i was like really, so now if you don’t buy anything at Northgate Market you are a thief, now I know next time its a must, I need to buy something, that way they can let you out of the store with out questions

Always when stopping for champurrado (mexican sweet corn drink) there's nobody to help you, today I happened to ask a janitor if anybody could help and he goes inside the little court trying to help which I appreciate but they have to be shown how to help you, wash their hands to beging with and avoid touching or putting their fingers inside the cups.

Love all the authentic foods you can just pick up to go! Super clean store. I like getting the family meal to go with their carnitas! Great fast option for dinner that doesn’t break the bank. My favorite has to be the bakery section with lots of fresh pan dulce and bolillos that I can’t resist!

very comfortable to buy in this store everything is very organized and clean you can see in advance that it is one of their priorities to keep the cleanliness and the products in good condition, the only thing that catches my attention is the lack of courtesy and friendliness of the staff Starting with the supervisors and managers of the personnel, the lack of courtesy to the client is relevant. They identify as if they were talking to their employees without education and kindness, and especially if the people are Latinos, they treat you as if they knew you or were someone they considered, without importance. to the client in my opinion and my experience on this store!!

Todo en general en cuestión de producto y limpieza, pero la actitud de los empleados es muy déspota y amargados, ningún saludo ni sonrisas, y cuando les preguntas algo te contestan con actitud no se les da la amabilidad en ningún aspecto, asta párese que les pides fiado , y se les está pagado bien !!!! por que para los precios eso si es caro todo, desde hoy los cambio por alguna otra tienda que no sea #Northgatemarket
