El Patio Drive in is great restaurant, great food, awesome customer service! Hard shell beef taco was perfectly crispy, bean and cheese burrito was good size and tasted good! Chips and salsa was fresh and great tasting! They even opened the door for me, when I was leaving!

I grew up living right next to the old location. Had to come out of my way to come and try out the new spot. It's as great as I remember it.
Got the El Patio special wet burrito with asada. Their food is so good in such a nonchalant way. You get it, it tastes amazing, and yet for El patio it's no big deal because they do that all the time everyday.
They have a really wide menu and quite a few options.
If you're local and haven't tried El Patio You need to fix that.

On a side note, I love that some of their art are pictures of the old location. This Such a nostalgic cozy feel to this place with amazing food

I came in today around 3pm.

I’m a big Mexican food lover but I haven’t had food this bad in a long time.

The chips and salsa were bland and stale.
The pork quesadilla was dry and oily
The tamales were so terrible I had to throw them away.

I came in here excited to try a spot nearby but left disappointed. I’m not sure how they have been in business for this long.

One of the BEST places for delicious Mexican food! Keep track of menu items you've had, to be sure you don't miss one of their great dishes. 😉

The food is bomb all around! I specially like their wet burritos, red or green, and tacos (all meats) with great and yummy spicy salsas! The meat, rice, beans, and cheese are good quality with great taste, reminiscent of your mom's or grammas cooking. 🙌

They have great drink options, from aguas frescas (horchata, tamarindo, jamaica), glass bottled sodas (Sprite, Coke, Sidral Mundet, Jarritos, other), great-tasting coffee, and more!

The staff is friendly and attentive. They are not pushy when you order, and are helpful if you want more chips, extra salsa, or to custom make your order.

Pricing: competitive on most items & better than other places on some. This is a place where taste and value go hand in hand, unlike other places where prices are high but food is bland.

They take cash, debit/credit, and you can Phone your order. Recommended!

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of seating that can accommodate wheelchairs. The door is not automatic, with the staff are on it and quite friendly. If they see you they will help you.

Well, first of all, not a drive thru. Staff was friendly enough, place is clean, food was portioned well, but lacked any flavor. The chili verde burrito was dry, no sauce, not even salt. The Carne asada tacos were also flavorless. The taquitos were the same, no flavor. I dont understand the great ratings. It will fill you up but no taste. Needs some love here. Long wait for a simple order also. If you want to try this place, recommend you call your order in ahead. Cant give it more than 2 stars for our taste.

I havent been here in years but I was in the area and wanted to stop grab something to eat. This location is much larger than the original location on Magnolia. I ordered the carne asada fries with everything(guac, pico de Gallo, sour cream and cheese) The fries were thin like McDonalds and it barely covered the plastic plate. It wasnt pulled high just enough, I think the price to ratio is not sufficient so I wouldnt order again. The workers were friendly and the good was decent and hot. Not out of this world but not terrible.

Unfortunately it wasnt all that, first order was the two taco combo, the shells shouldve been more crispy, meat was ok, and more lettuce shouldve been added, beans were mediocre, surprisingly the rice was flavorful and delicious, second order was the carne asada fries, meat wasnt that of quality, tasted like round meat not flavored well, portion was definitely not worth the price. Service was decent, somewhat friendly, and unknowingly, a dollar is added when using a card. Area is a bit sketchy also.

Been going here since I was a little kid and they were located in a small shop pn la palma and magnolia. Havent stopped going there in over 15 years shredded beef tacos are legendary and the salsa is the ****. Love el patio its the buisness.

The food was really good! I usually get a combo plate for the first visit to try out the rice and beans. I was in a hurry so I got a carne asada burrito. It was really good. The Jamaica was average. Nothing special. Would definitely eat again

I used to visit original location. Glad I found them again. I moved to Pennsylvania and panicked when I come back for visits that they were gone. I will always come here every year as I return for visits to California. Both here and Casa Sanchez on Anaheim in long beach will always be my favourite place to go and a must do on every visit.

Potato tacos, asada quesadilla and BRC burritos are my go to favs. I remember this place when it was located on the other side of town half it s size happy to have seen this place move up with the same original quality

You wouldnt know it by appearances, but this place is a jewel. Theyre a tucked in between a bar and some shops and easy to pass, but well worth stopping in. Best nachos Ive ever had. Some places skimp on things or leave essential ingredients completely out (looking at you Taqueria de Anda), but this place does it best. Carnitas is best, but asada is my go to. Their sauce is amazing, I just bought a container. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Couldnt ask for more and wish these guys success in these tough times.

Wet burrito was unfortunately not good at all, just meat, cheese, tortilla and very greasy sauce. No lettuce tomato onion rice or beans or anything that comes in a regular burrito (except for a light spooning of refried beans over the top to add wetness) Mine was rolled very loosely eventually becoming a soggy soup of tortilla, meat and cheese. The amount of grease made it basically inedible. $10 to pretty much throw it in the trash. Fish taco was sadly soggy also, but thankfully the chicken taco was very good.
