Food was below my expectations. We ordered different items and they all tasted pretty bland. Was excited to try based on the reviews but definitely will not be coming back again. The only great thing was the beer, it actually tasted what it was supposed to taste like unlike the food.

I hate to leave a bad review especially at a family owned restaurant but my uncle used to speak highly of this place and it's definitely changed the food was nowhere near an authentic flavor or taste just a regular burrito with tough meat we came with others and they gave us a hard time about separate checks and even chips and salsa saying one per table...we could have gone to El Torito like usual but it was a birthday recommendation. Now I read in the news they are cancelling the Thanksgiving Giveaway due to health reasons I understand that but we even donated to those meals that day as many others did so I hope that goes to something because that was the only reason I justified eating at this place was telling myself at least they do something nice for others but please that sala tasted like El Pato and I've had better burritos at Del Taco I hope it was just an off day.

Really nice place, with great tasting Mexican food. Owner has a very cool story, and originates from Texas. Overall everyone here was super friendly and inviting, food was phenomenal. I ordered the carnitas plate, my wife ordered a wet burrito of sorts, and my son was given small portion of rice and beans and tortilla. Overall very satisfied. Close to hotels and the theme parks too which was really cool. Open till 9pm but sometimes some people camp or drink/smoke in the lot, stay safe!

This place was recommended by hotel staff. Gave it a shot as it was so close to our hotel and all the theme parks. I consider myself picky when it come to Mexican food. I was not disappointed. The food was 5 star. I enjoyed all the history and military service artifacts on the walls. Make sure you ask about the family’s history. Highly recommend.

Service is not good. Took over 10 minutes to get a server. Then another 8 or 10 to get our waters. They were not too busy, it was 10am. Food is average. I like their menudo but the 2nd time I asked for more, it took for ever and I never got my tortillas. My pata was missing from it too. My family ordered chilaquiles, it seemed like they got the chips and added warm salsa to them.. not good. We were disappointed. Dont think we'll go back. The hostess is a bit rude

Review №47

My husband and I love the food!! It is so delicious!! However what I have noticed about the women servers or waiters, they treat Mexican-Americans rudely and especially the lady with the very short hair cute, (looks like mans hair cut)!! With white people she is so different!! She smiles at them, takes their drinks order almost Immediately after being seated!! My family used to go there often and were very generous on tipping (despite of the racism and bad attitude of the waitress)!! We continued going but after a while our friends and family who we see at gatherings began talking about Casa Garcia Restaurant on Chapman, I listened and stayed quiet because I wanted to hear what they were saying and they were all talking about how they give much better service to White folks versus Mexican people and if you are Mexican speaking in English forget it they ignore you! This is why I’m sharing my experience because they need to treat “ALL PAYING CUSTOMERS EQUALLY “!! We just want to go there and enjoy our food and pass a wonderful morning, after attending a beautiful Sunday morning Mass and enjoy eating our breakfast or Lunch!! But when you get seated and having to wait at the very least 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge that you are waiting for a waiter or waitress then comes the lady with a Cara de poco amigos, my sensitive stomach gets upset and I can hardly eat!! So please take this comment very seriously! Everything I have written is the absolute truth! I want to go back to your restaurant, but management need to pay close attention to what is happening on the floor with their employees and how they are treating their customers!! I must say though the men waiters are very polite and very respectful and they have wonderful people skills!! Well ok take care and may God bless you all!! I want to go back and eat menudo!!

Although the other day I decided to go with the Ribeye breakfast platter and was extremely disappointed. The Ribeye was really thin & had a little bit of the "almost expired beef smell" AND I barely got any potatoes. Definitely not worth the $24.

Some time had passed since I last ate here, and did not enjoy it, but I decided to give it another try.

We ordered dinner combos with a salad. The salad comes out of a bag, adding a few croutons and tomatoes would be nice. The ranch dressing was so watered down that the bottom of my bowl was full of ranch dressing water. The cheese in my cheese enchilada wasn't even melted, and my food was cold. I showed my server, and he did order me another one. It took about 15 minutes to get it, and my companion had finished eating. I showed the *manager* the water in my salad bowl and my uncooked enchilada. She did apologize, but that was easy. My meal should have been comped, and I would have left happy. Instead, I left unhappy and feeling cheated and disgusted.

I ordered a combo dinner plate of a cheese chili relleno and beef taco. It also came with soup or salad. I chose soup and got menudo. I also got a strawberry margarita. The food was delicious and reminded me of TexMex from Houston, where I’m from. The minor complaints I have was that the salsa wasn’t my favorite and the margarita wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be.

I’m going back home to Houston in a few days, but when I come back in town, I definitely will be returning.

My wife and I are driving down from visiting San Francisco and my cousin calls and says that there's a man from Bishop that owns a Mexican restaurant in Anaheim. Long story short, I call Casa Garcia and start talking to Veronica (Frank's daughter). Three hours later, we're sitting in Casa Garcia and having lunch conversing with Frank about Bishop Texas. I must say we were longing for a South Texas meal and we surely enjoyed the enchilada/taco plate. Frank, Veronica and Cindy were such gracious hosts that we couldn't stop eating and talking throughout the visit. Thank you for an amazing experience. Keeping ya'll in our prayers!!

Omg! Worst place ever! My friend and I were craving Mexican food! So we decided to try out!
“Casa Garcia” on Chapman Avenue in Anaheim.
We both ordered Menudo. We were served by the worst! Unfriendly! Nasty! Rude! Slow! And very very STUPID! Woman named VERONICA
She served my menudo and 20 minutes later I had to get up to go to their kitchen area to ask for my friend’s menudo?

Our menudo was warm not hot ! We also ordered coffee ! It was nasty!

Seriously? This woman ? Ruined our lunch !
