Alright! Finally made it back.
I must say this experience was a much better one.
Greeted immediately. Told us we could sit where ever we'd like. We opted for outside patio. The weather was perfect today!
Onto the food.
Ordered quesadilla birria.
The chicken is tender and very well seasoned and marinated to perfection.
Comes with fries they were fresh and delicious.
We also got the Cheeto fries with an egg.
Our eyes were bigger then our stomach lol.
The fries were great. Food was excelled here today.
Thank you for inviting me back Jorge. And this time it really hit the spot. Excellent service and excellent food!
The only reason I didn't put 5star is because the water tasted a little weird. And the birria broth wasn't enough.
Will I return? Most definitely.
Do I recommend this place now after returning?
Yes.
Try it out! You'll enjoy.
Just don't order the nachos LOL.

ask for Diana!!! loved her!!!
Dining at Temple Cantina was an absolute delight, and much of that can be credited to the incredible service provided by Diana. From the moment we arrived, her warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic experience. Diana went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that every detail of our meal was perfect. Her genuine enthusiasm for both the food and the guests was evident, making the whole experience feel personal and special. She made us feel like VIPs without being overbearing just the perfect balance of attentive and gracious. It’s rare to find such exceptional customer service, and Diana truly elevates Temple Cantina to another level. I can’t recommend her highly enough, and I will definitely return, knowing that the service will be as outstanding as the food. Thank you, Diana, for making our visit unforgettable!

The food was excellent. A colleague and I had the house taco plate. Another colleague had the birria burrito. We had the pork bellies, that tasted like chicharon, and birria taquitos. Came here for a work lunch. There was, unfortunately, a sewer smell that interrupted our meal.

Probably the closest thing to Mexico without being in Mexico. The steak tacos were delicious and they don't water down their alcoholic drinks. Although the spicy margaritas were a bit too spicy for my liking. Overall, beautiful atmosphere and our waitress Ari, provided us with a spectacular level of customer service. Got to take home a blue bong-shaped souvenir too!

We went here for a dinner. Thankfully I was with two other people that were willing to eat family style so that we could try more dishes as a part of our trip to Tempo Urban Kitchen. When we arrived there were plenty of tables available. We took a table out on the patio.
We started with a unique sushi roll that featured lemon as a key element for the flavor profile. It was unique to anything I have had before and really represented the fusion style of this restaurant. We then had the cream cheese-stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon. These were spectacular and the cook on them was amazing. The bacon was well-cooked and added a crunch to each bite. We then shared their version of a tuna tower. The fusion element here is that the bottom layer is guacamole with amazing fresh tuna on top.
They don't take reservations but we were able to get a table pretty easily right at 6:00. The wait staff was efficient, friendly, and worked together well as a team. We enjoyed our meal and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a flavor explosion of Asian and Mexican inspired dishes.

The staff consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome—many of the servers recognize us by face and even remember our orders! Some of our favorite dishes are the tinga taquitos, asada tacos, and loaded fries. For the past six months, Andrea and Diana have been our regular servers, and their friendly and attentive service always makes our visits a pleasure.

This used to be the place to be on a Friday/Saturday night, but its a ghost town now. Reason? Prices. This was my crew's hang spot and we all agreed that it's just not worth it. Food is fine, not mind-blowing, but good. But small portions & high prices leave a lot to be desired. ($18 bux for chips & guac?!!.. common now) It's a shame to see it so barren all the time now.

Dark interior, almost moody. Similar to a club setting but fairly quiet. We had margaritas, chicken, asada, & pastor street tacos as well as Birria tacos (tacos dorados de birria). All the meats were tender & seasoned well 😋 all good!! The tortillas were unexpectedly greasy. I prefer street taco without the extra oil sheen. Otherwise, the service was great & quick. We recommend it if you need a fix. Definitely have a lot more to try out.

A "Fools Gold" experience in every way. My friends and I were pretty excited to come visit and left disappointed. The drinks had an extremely small amount of alcohol (if there was honestly any at all). The food was bland and not authentic. Our server was really nice but the food & drinks were just not up to expectations. I feel like maybe I'd try a different location for the Mr. Tempo name but this one wasn't it.

Drove from Pico Rivera to this location. We were celebrating my Dads bday. My bro made reservations for 19 the day before. When we arrived, the two female workers seemed confused and when they checked, there was no reservation. They had to get an area ready last minute. The food was average at best and they don't offer fountain drinks or free water. They only have water bottles at $2 a pop. Their bottles Pepsi is $5 and they don't even offer jamaica. What kind of Mexican food spot doesn't offer that?!
The wet burrito I ordered was plain with a creamy "house sauce" that didn't go with the burrito. It wasn't worth $20 that I paid. The place is one of those trendy "Mexican food" spots with ridiculous decor. Good thing I wasn't tripping on acid when I went there. The colors would've set me off lol.
Overall, this place is not wilorth the money they charge for the average tasting food they offer. Oh! Almost forgot, I ordered their jalapeño poppers and I swear to you, it's the same kind jack in the box offers. I'm not even exaggerating. If you want actual Mexican food, you're better off looking for an actual Mexican restaurant.
I was very disappointed and my wallet didn't appreciate the over priced food.

But on the menu said that happy hour . but I don’t know if on tap or beer cans . But I we don’t know so one of the staff said only on cans but not on tap :( what the heck . So they rip us off they should say beer cans happy hour . And other thing is that when Oder a mango margarita for happy hour but they said you want a big one . So but I was not on happy hour for big one :( so they rip us off . I well not coming back to that restaurant never gain .

Came here for the experience… I want to make something clear from the jump they don’t have sparklers anymore! False advertisement! They should clarify that also they should change their menu. I hate that they have you use a barcode it’s very time consuming to order when they come a few minutes later asking if you’re ready when you have 11 pages too look through especially when it’s your first time. I ordered the asada tacos they were good, the carnita tacos were greasy and wouldn’t recommend, I got a chicken plate with rice and like a fajita mix of veggies it was very good but doesn’t include any tortillas which I don’t under why not. They have a ketchup that’s not your typical ketchup so we asked for the original ketchup. But Their happy hour is a bootleg, she never once mentioned anything to us or recommended anything or any of such. We sat outside thankfully because inside smells especially when sitting straight where the restrooms are, smells like the sewer. I liked the blended margaritas $20 but very good. The churro cart was delicious as well I would recommend. If you’re coming here for sparklers like I did they don’t have them!!

Felt like I was back on Revolucion street in TJ, circa 1995. The place isn't sure if it wants to be a restaurant or cheesy discoteque. The flashing lights and brightly lit decor screamed disco, along with the extensive drink menu. Unfortunately for our party, we were there for dinner -- which was lacking. The QR code menus on the tables, when scanned were extremely difficult to read (Nov 2023 update - Covid is over folks). I ordered a basket of chips as an app to hold us over while we figured out what we wante, which came with approx 20 chips on it, for a table of four -- okay, whatever, I know inflation is hurting us all so cuts need to made and prices increased. We decided to go elsewhere, so when I asked for the bill for my side of chips and pico, $8.42 was the total. Holy smokes...$8 for tortilla chips, average at best tortilla chips, not my abuelita made these tortilla chips, more like Vons sold these tortilla chips. To say I was disappointed was an understatement...by the looks and price of things, they're hanging on by a thread to keep the doors open or ride out that lease. We won't be back. Check with your abuelita before hitting Revolucion once more...unless that's what your looking for.

Club motif meets industrial aesthetic. The interior has mood lighting for dinnertime. You can see the type of lighting from the pictures in this review. It's kinda cool and different, a bit hard to see menu and food. There's a bar at the front of the restaurant and tvs playing sports and music videos.
If you enjoy pork belly, I would definitely recommend the pork belly bites. I had the shrimp entree this time and didn't really care for it. The flavors didn't mix for me so I would pass on this. The rice and beans were good. I've been several times and would recommend the dirty fries and enchiladas. The dessert was good if you're in the mood to top off the meal.
Plenty of parking in the lot.

First time here and will be the last. Told the waiter it was our first time..no recommendations given. Wheres the menu? Oh its still 2020 here, you have to scan the barcode. We figured it out ourselves. Got the margarita, had no idea it was like the fat tuesdays style which i didnt even want that much to drink ($20). Birria tacos were good. I tried the bone marrow tacos, it was good but barely any asada meat or marrow as it is. You are paying for mostly bone ($20). I got the diablo roll which wasnt anything ground breaking. It was a tempura roll with thick rice and literally one small dice of tuna on top ($20+). So my issue were the nachos. As majority of mexican restaurants usually use chopped grilled chicken, we got nachos with seasoned shredded chicken. The kind you would see in an enchilada. Because of it wet, it got the chips soggy pretty quick. We had also asked beforehand if we could get some toppings on the side and were told by the waiter "its either all toppings or no." This is unheard of in this state full of mexican restaurants. They literally have a disclaimer in the front of their menu to notify them of any particular foods you cant eat, meaning they CAN modify your food. Seems like a lazy approach because the place literally only had about 6 filled tables. Guess no one wanted to wash the dishes? So the nachos are laid with not only seasoned wet chicken, but 2 other sauces making it even more wet. Ugh, that was gross. Told the waiter it wasnt great, he then goes in to a full explanation of what the chicken is. Why didnt he do that earlier???? The waiter had also suggested rice and beans. At least tell me you dont season your rice! It was bland, didnt taste well, and small ($8). They also do not offer glasses of drinking water, we are in mexico so you have to buy a bottle of water. There are no kid menus, so good luck asking to custom your food for your child because they will just say NO. Our bill came out to be close to $150.00. With the weak service and first impression, its an overall NO for me. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

This place rocks! Their birria is really good. I chose the house sampler taco plate and the mole chocolate tortilla stood out due to it's uniqueness. The crispy avocado is very flavorful and different too but the surf n turf
and Korean taco were uneventful. The Korean taco was just carnitas and pineapple with pickled cabbage. However, the Bone Marrow tacos! Most def coming back for the bone marrow.
Service is outstanding. Their agua frescas were good with the spicy tajin rim.
The "outdoor" patio is nice and totally enclosed... And the bar is neon black light with a super cool vibe. So I'll be checking it out for dinner and drinks in the near future.

Food is great but pricey and water is not free… i’ve never seen that at a restaurant….the only water they offer is bottled. I’m getting so thirsty while eating but sorry I am not paying for multiple bottles of water.
UPDATE: Them not having free water is a liee. They gave ONE of my friends a cup of water after she went up to someone else not our waiter and asked them for one but everyone else at our table was forced to buy water bottles because they said they didnt have cups of water but then bring one friend a cup after she went up to someone and asked ?? I just don’t like trying to be upsold water when my meal and drinks are already expensive. And all of my friends who bought water say the bottled water tastes like tap..
Another update: Some tables had the free cups of water and some tables everyone had water bottles so beware.

My wife and I tried the Downey location for dinner a few years back, so when we were passing through the Anaheim area and needed a brunch spot we figured we'd try their new location. It was unfortunately pretty underwhelming.
We started with cocktails, I had a bloody Mary that was pretty decent, and my wife got a mimosa flight. The mimosas were a little light on the champagne but otherwise pretty tasty.
For food I got the enfrijoladas, which it was my first time trying this kind of dish. It was pretty good but a little bland so I asked for some salsa. They brought me a spicy habanero salsa that was SUPER good. This should come standard on this dish--it needs a little heat and you shouldn't need to ask! My wife got the chorizo omelet, which she said was good but not great. We also shared the pork belly benedict, which I wasn't into, but my wife did enjoy. To me the pork belly texture was off, although when you mixed the green sauce on the benedict with the runny egg yolk, it made for a great dipping sauce for some toast! I must say though, two of our dishes came with "hash browns" and the sad excuse for hash browns that was delivered to our table was atrocious. Not crispy at all, almost looked like rice at first until you realize--it's potatoes! Excluding the hash browns I'd say most of the food was pretty damn good. But the hash browns were so bad it brought everything down with it.
Service was very friendly, although a little slow considering the restaurant was almost empty.
Overall, this place was closer to "decent" than to "good," and far from "great." But I do recommend the Downey location for dinner--the fried avocado tacos are worth the trip.

Food was great! Service was great too! The vibe is quick eats and good food. Fast casual for sure.
It has a little bit of a club vibe and has a moderate noise level.
Food was cooked and prepared well. Lots of alcohol choices. Not too many non-alcohol choices and missing some “staples” like Jarritos.
A bit pricey…

TERRIBLE!! I ordered a tomahawk steak. My steak came out 79 minutes after I ordered it, we only get 90 minutes max per table. Not to mention, EVERYONE in my 20- member dinner party was done eating already. So let me eat last and force everyone to wait for me?!?!
When it came time to pay the bill… they added $180 worth of gift cards to our bill because we didn’t meet the $50 per person minimum. The steak I turned back that I did not eat was $180… go figure!!!

30.00 dollar charge for a party of 6. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Manager on duty was completely useless. We will definitely not be back.
