We are in town from Utah and were looking for a good place to eat. I am so glad we discovered this place. It was literally one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. A little pricey $35 for 2 people (burger, fries & drink) but you have to expect that anywhere in California. It was honestly so worth it! Wish we had one of these in Utah!

Food Hall excellence! Been twice now, three excellent poutines, two sandwiches, one bunch of cheeseburger egg rolls. Only one small point, I wish the yolk on the loco moco egg was a little runnier. Worth the drive, and the packing house is worth another.

Leaving this review for others for awareness, I got food poisoning 24-48 hours after eating here, I'm not saying it was this food but I'm backtracking everything I ate before my incident. I'm leaving a similar review on all places I ate.

I ordered the braised beef sandwich and the meat was very dry and tough. The sandwich lacked any type of sauce and I needed to drench it with ketchup to not choke on it. The fries and spicy garlic were delicious tho. It’s frustrating spending close to $15 for a sandwich in this economy and receiving such a poor excuse of a sandwich.

With the advent of so many smash burger place you don't ever need to go to a mediocre one, especially in LA.

With that being said, the double wagyu smash burger here was not bad, a 7/10. The fries and cheese curds were also about a 7/10. If you're at the packing district and are craving a burger, this would be your choice.

Stopped for lunch before heading home from a mini vacation in the San Diego area. My son and I are definitely carnivores so this place had our name all over it. The Kroft has excellent reviews and has garnered local awards, and we can confirm both are extremely well deserved. This place is like a fusion of Filipino, Mexican, and American food. Pictured are a pair of sandwiches we ordered, not pictured but also ordered was Philly cheese loaded fries, and some unique egg rolls (cheeseburger and birria). Everything was fantastic, but out the egg roll selections we liked the cheeseburger ones the best and feel like they are a must try.

We ordered them from doordash, the food tasted great and was unique. I would definitely recommend this place, being we ordered from here on vacation. The food was a little cold, which was expected since it was delivered, it did not ruin the taste though. Would definitely order again, if we do return to Anaheim again, maybe next time in restaurant.

This restaurant is mostly hamburgers and loaded fries. They did have chicken sandwiches, drinks and other side items to choose from. We ordered the basic cheeseburgers and some fries. Don’t let the two patties scare you off because the patties are very thin but are bigger than the bun. The cheeseburger itself is pretty basic with cheese, pickles and some condiments with a very soft bun; however, it was quite tasty and actually filling. The fries were okay but definitely needed seasoning. I think we’ll try the loaded fries next time and maybe the cucumber lemonade? The delivery service was also arrived on time which was a plus cuz our food was still a good temperature and not cold.

The Kroft is located on the first floor of Anaheim Packing House, which is a go-to destination for those in pursuit of great comfort food.

100% HANDKROFTED Homestyle comfort food…The HANDKROFTED PORCHETTA sandwich has Pork Belly, Loin, Cracklings, Salsa Verde, Arugula, Caramelized Onions on a toasted, buttered Ciabatta. The Ciabatta could have been more toasted and it had a little bit too much butter.

Each bite is full of juicy goodness!

The packing house gets very crowded so parking can be challenging here. Service could have been more helpful.

Has this place twice! The first time was amazing and probably the best thing we got at Packing House that night. Might have been the braised beef? Came back and got the regular Wagyu Smash Fries and was a bit disappointed. They do offer some craft beer, which is nice if you don’t want to split up and head over to Monkish.

Decent food and good vibes!

The menu is quite unique, but is filled with delicious options. If you’re not accustomed to the menu items, this might not be the place for you. I’ve never even heard of most of the items, but wanted to try everything. The prices are probably a bit higher than expected, but they definitely reflect the portions given. I waited for about 10-15 minutes, but didn’t mind considering how good my sandwich was.

* Kroft Fried Chicken Sandwich: 9/10 - really tasty and decent sized portion

The parking lot gets busy quite easily so you might have to park on the street. The staff was really friendly and the restaurant has an urban atmosphere. We’ll definitely be stopping by to try all of the other delicious options!

Highly recommend giving them a try!

The Kroft, nestled within the bustling Anaheim Packing House, has rapidly become a go-to destination for those in pursuit of great comfort food with a twist. Among the star attractions of their menu are the Wagyu Smash Fries, Cheese Steak Sandwich, and Smash Cheeseburgers, each of which manages to elevate traditional American cuisine to new heights.

The Wagyu Smash Fries are nothing short of a symphony of taste. It combines the richness of 2 Wagyu beef patties, grilled onions, American cheese, diced pickles, and secret sauce with the crispy, golden texture of perfectly cooked fries. A must-try for any visitor. Meanwhile, the Cheese Steak Sandwich is a testament to The Kroft's commitment to quality and flavor. Tender slices of rotisserie beef, garlic mayo, grilled onions, swiss cheese, and a soft potato roll come together in a symphony of flavors that pays homage to the classic Philadelphia cheesesteak, with a unique twist that sets it apart.

A visit to The Kroft is not just a meal; it's an experience that leaves you longing for your next visit. Come check it out!

This place is good but not great. I don't think the value was worth the price. The sandwich was smaller than I expected. The Mac & cheese was ok. The bbq fries were what I expected. They did have a happy hour with 50% beers, sides, and wine. That made it worthwhile, otherwise I would have felt like I overpaid. This restaurant is in the Anaheim packing district building where most things are overpriced so it's probably just what you should expect. Otherwise, the service was great. There is fairly minimal seating as well. I would maybe eat here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way or even come to the packing district for this restaurant.

The Kroft is located on the first floor of Anaheim Packing House. The parking is not ideal if you want easy parking. The packing house has a small lot and street parking, but it gets very crowded. There is a parking structure with free parking nearby a few blocks over but it's about an 8 minute walk.

I ordered the Wagyu smash burger with braised short rib poutine and truffle garlic fries to share with my husband. The fries are a good portion and shareable if you get a sandwich or burger as your main. The burger was good but a bit on the salty side, I'd prefer in n out over it. The fries were also flavorful but a bit on the soggy side. If it was crispier, it'd be perfect.

The service was very friendly and were nice about accommodating my French fry orders when they initially told me that they were out of fries at the moment.

French dip sandwich was actually really good. The Chicken Parm poutine was a lazy recipe. It was cut up pieces of fried chicken, no mozzarella and some store bought marinara poured on some fries. It had 4 pieces of fried cheese. That's not a poutine. The fries were not fresh, it actually had a few fries that looked like the had fallen out of the basket and cooked for a few hours in the fryer. Chicken had bones in it. Over pretty bad showing. I know how hard it is to staff a restaurant right now but the staff that was on looked as if they could careless and were not the least bit friendly. We love coming to the packing house every year when we visit LA. Will not be stopping in the Kroft again.

It was my first time in the Anaheim Packing house and I was being guided by a local friend of mine. She really recommended The Kroft, so I decided to stop by and try the food and drinks.

I ordered a wagyu smash burger, the Braised Beef Poutine fries, and a mango cart.

The Wagyu Smash burger was terrible and reminiscent of a McDonalds burger, had little to no flavor and was extremely disappointed that the cheese of choice was KRAFT cheese….. seriously. The cheese was an absolute joke and ruined the burger.

The Braised Beef fries were good, but definitely lacking in cheese curds. I had about 5-6 pieces of cheese curds and was disappointed. I didn’t particularly like how soggy the fries were with the broth of the Braised Beef, but that was more my fault for not asking for the Braised Beef on the side.

Normally I wouldn’t leave a review for a beer as common as a Mango cart, but this beer had a rotting fruit taste/smell. I’m aware alcohol is fermented and so is the fruit but I’ve never experienced the rotting fruit smell/taste.

Service can be better, when I approached the the register the young man was talking friendly banter with a cook in the back paying no attention to the front. A young lady with her headphone in her ear stood by the food window, wasn’t sure if she was an expo or knew how to work the front but she just stared at us. He brought us our food and drinks and was nice during the whole interaction.

My first time here and we tried 3 items. (1) BBQ Wagyu Smash: tangy bbq sauce, thin burger patties w/cheese, fried onions all atop of fries. For a bit of spice...the Chicken Tikka Masala Poutine: chicken, cheese, onions, and masala gravy made in house! (3) Cheese Steak Sandwich: the right amount of tender meat and cheese on a potato roll (a bit greasy). Still, all were great! You just can't miss here. Also we took a chance on 1 of the specialty drinks, cucumber lemonade. Couldn't imagine, but it works! We will definitely be back!!

Great comfort food stop in the Anaheim Packing District, perfect for when you just can't bring yourself to stuff down another Disney meal. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala Loaded Baked Potato, an intriguing concept executed mostly well (though the relatively creamless chicken tikka tasted a bit more like chili at times). Their chicken nuggets and fries were also crispy and delicious. A sign near the entrance offered a $50 reward for any soul brave enough to eat 10lbs of poutine, which would have been fantastic had I not wanted to (like many other Packing House visitors) preserve my health for Disney in the coming days. There are so many great food options within the Anaheim Packing District, but Kroft certainly isn't a poor choice. (Be aware, however, that most areas of the Packing District, including outdoor seating, are not dog friendly.)

If you’re lucky enough to be within driving distance of the Anaheim Packing District make the trip. It’s a conglomeration of small eateries and cool little shops that are local owned and operated. We went here specifically to eat at The Kroft. I’ve been following their IG for years and finally made the journey. The kids were especially excited because our two kids really wanted to try poutine that’s all they’ve been talking about so when i suggested the kroft they were all on board.

Just a word of warning parking is challenging here. Most of it will be on street parking and you’ll get to walk up an appetite or walk off your meal.

We ordered the following:
Son and daughter ordered: classic poutine fries
Daughter 2: chicken sandwich
Wife: tikka fries, mac n cheese(they were out of the flaming hot mnc sadly) brussle sprouts
Me: i was wavering between the porchetta (best selling menu item btw) and the wagyu double smashed burger. I opted for the burger but want to try the porchetta next time.

Everything looked and tasted amazing. Love the sweet tang of the Brussels sprouts and my burger was amazing. Really liked their pickles they use as well.

Prices are reasonable to feed this party of 5 and that’s with drink orders. Highly recommend you try this place they’ve been around for years so they’re doing something right!

I think I came on an off shift. My husband said “let there be poutine.” He knows I am Canadian and love Poutine. It’s Canadian soul food.

Imagine my surprise when the first one I got had gravy that was too cold to melt the cheese. That’s the entire point of Poutine! Cheese curds melted into the fries with toasty hot gravy. The one I was served had cold and congealing gravy.

They remade it and try no 2 and the gravy was just hot enough to melt some of the curds. The gravy also had a peppery aftertaste I wasn’t too keen on.

Poutine is supposed to be hot fries, fresh cheese curds with vey hot gravy poured on top. I think they added the curds after the gravy.

The fries were great. Cooked to perfection ruined by improper Poutine creation.

Not bad for a non-Canadian dish, but not right . I’ll try them again in a few months.

I have to save my half of the poutine as leftovers for tomorrow. Happy to have it.

Update 8/17/22

Tried it again today and unfortunately, it was pure mush and just tasted so off. As the pics display, it looked like dog food. I asked for a remake and it was worse the second time which I didn’t think could be possible. So, this time it was a 1 star. The fries were soggy with a lot of blackened parts but not fully cooked or crispy. The curds and chicken were unfortunately soggy as well and just didn’t taste right…

Oh my, oh my! Who thought to make a chicken parmesan poutine?! And how does it taste that incredible? This is not just a snack or appetizer - it’s a full on meal for 2 and it’s incredible! You have perfectly crispy yet soft fries (it feels wrong even calling them that) mixed with deliciously fried chicken, topped with addictive fried cheese curds, and a sauce, oh the sauce, it reminds me of my dad’s homemade marinara - no one makes it like him and yet, it took me back. It’s exotic and so spot on with the chicken and potatoes. Everything complimented each other and pictures do not do this justice. We ate all of it and loved every bite. Definitely go. :)

Great food! Very chill atmosphere! I had the Poutine fries, braised beef sandwich, cheeseburger rolls and chicken & fries. The braised beef sandwich was good but a little dry, but overall everything was really tasty! Just be prepared to wait for your food when they’re busy! I definitely RECOMMEND!

Lot of poutine options on the menu. Was tempted to buy multiple to try it out. They give a lot of fries and maybe 5 like pieces of chicken. We got tired of eating it after a while since it's pretty much 80% fries so I'd recommend splitting it with 3 people or something unless you're a big french fries fan. Will definitely try out the other options whenever I stop by there again

There was a plastic to-go lid in my sandwich. I’m also pretty sure I swallowed a piece of plastic, but they refunded my sandwich so there’s that. The cashier was really nice about it, but the cook was a little insincere with the sorry.

The Kroft is located inside the Anaheim Packing District. They are popular for good reason - their food is delicious! I’ve ordered their Braised Beef Poutine and, although much different from my first poutine in Eastern Canada, I enjoyed the modern American take of this classic French-Canadian recipe!

When I arrived at the building I didn't know where this place even was but searching I did end up finding this place. It wasn't expensive and the food came out pretty fast for how busy it was. The food was awesome and better than I expected. I will definitely come back to try something else on the menu!

Local counter-serve spot with creative poutines and sandwiches. They’re still operating during covid for takeout and delivery. Came here on a Sunday around noon and there wasn’t a line. You order at the counter and they’ll take your phone number so that they can text you when your order is ready. The food was ready in less than 10 min. Credit cards are accepted. There’s a small dining area (currently closed due to covid) or you can eat outdoors.

We got two orders of poutine - one classic, the other braised beef. Each serving is good for 1-2 people. The classic is $8 and comes with gravy, cheese curds, and a Louisiana hot sauce on the side (I’d recommend dipping your fries for a little acidity). Parsley is included. The braised beef has the same gravy and cheese curds, along with beef, mushrooms, and pickled red onions. There was a more generous amount of gravy and cheese curds in the latter. Overall, a good spot to enjoy some poutine when you’re in the Anaheim Packing District.

I've seen this place here and there on Instagram and it piqued my interest because fries! While browsing through their menu, I was having a hard time trying to decide because everything sounded so good. I was leaning towards the Country Fried Chicken, but my bf decided he was going for the Chicken Tikka Masala and I didn't want two orders of fries.

The order came out rather quickly and the sauce to fries ratio looked good. One complaint I did have was that they called it a Chicken Tikka Masala, but it was so hard to find the pieces of chicken. The fries and the sauce tasted fine to me, but the sauce was pretty warm. I was kind of hoping it would be on the hotter side.

We plan to come back to the Anaheim Packing District, so I'd probably try their country fried chicken or one of the many other options they offer.

Phenomenal food served in larger portions. Well worth the price. I certainly wish that I was in town more frequently so I could try the rest of the menu. While the braised beef was amazing, the tremendous fries made me very curious about their varieties of poutine. Definitely check it out if you're around the Packing District!

Have been craving a French dip sandwich and was happy to see one on the menu here. Sadly, for being one of the more expensive sandwiches on the menu, it was extremely disappointing. The bread choice is all wrong for one. It’s a very sweet, soft roll and I think something with a little more texture and not sweet would have been better suited. The meat was overdone and not very flavorful. Barely any caramelized onions. I wish the horseradish mayo had more of a kick or better yet they did a mustard. I understand putting your own spin on a traditional sandwhich but this was not good. I very rarely write bad reviews but hours later I cannot stop thinking about this less than mediocre French dip.

The braised pork poutine is hands down my favorite out of the three poutines I've tried here (chicken pot pie and the loco moco). The loco moco is a close second. There's a yolky egg on top along with a meatloaf and the ketchup sauce makes it pretty sweet. I love eating my poutine with the Louisiana hot sauce to give it an extra kick.

This is one of the many bright spots of the Anaheim Packing District. It was a little bit of a challenge to actually decide on one thing from the menu, since they ALL sounded delicious! The fries were perfectly crispy so they didn't get soggy from the gravy. The gravy itself was so flavorful, and was the right consistency. The chicken was perfect, and they gave a generous portion of it. And there was even bacon on top of it all!I highly recommend this place! When I come back to Disneyland, I'll definitely make the short drive over here.I would say the only negatives are: the parking situation is a bit of a headache and when the place gets busy there's nowhere to sit. These are just little things that are no big deal.

What's Good: the Porchetta sandwich is good - good mix of meat, fatty pieces and crunchy pieces. Could go well with one of the dipping sauces (25 cents each). The Loco Moco Poutine is tasty but very filling - definitely a sharable. After a while the fries get soggy and tastes like just mashed potatoes. But tastes really good up front.

Other Notes: inside the Anaheim packing house so lot of food and drink options. Valet there is $4 but there's street parking too. On weekends, go with valet.

Poutine on another level. Loco moco poutine we ordered because of the picture they put up while we were walking by. It was as incredible as it looked. Meatloaf, gravy, scallions, fried onions, fried egg, and more. It was bomb.

Excellent porchetta sando for $10. The pork dip sandwhich is not so great however; meat is mushy and wet even before dipping, making for a horrible texture and mouth feel. Stick with their tried and true porchetta.

I have had their poutine fries which are also good; portions are nice for the price. Despite the myriad of options at Packing House, I find myself returning for the porchetta sando often. Pro tip: take it to-go across the street to Unsung brewery and wash it down with a nice beeru.

If you are familiar with their poutines they are delicious but I can say they have changed their meat source and it's not as good as before.

When I crave pickled red onions the short rib poutine is what I order. Another favorite is the Kroft fried chicken sandwich has a great flavor in the jalapeno slaw. There is also a cucumber drink I order while waiting that is pretty tasty wish there was a refill.

With a new location opening in Chinatown I am willing to see if they recapture the flavor I use to know.

Limited seating, but that's the nature of the Packing house. Still would agree that the Kroft is one of the better resturants in the whole place.

The sandwiches are excellent! Flavorful, fresh, and always delicious! The poutine is good, but leaves a little to be desired... Sadly, The gravy is on the bland side.

Finished it off with an order of cheese curds which redeemed the meal! They are BOMB!!
