First time trying Persian food yesterday and it was an amazing experience. We were greeted with a smile from the moment we walked in. Samin took our order and was so friendly as well as the rest of the staff. And the food was amazing. So delicious. The music and the ambiance was perfect too. Will definitely be back soon. 10/10 would recommend to you

Hatam never disappoints. As one of the most experienced restaurants in the area, quality in terms of freshness and taste is over the top. If you are in Anaheim area this is the place to be. Beautiful welcoming atmosphere and high quality rice dishes paired with your favorite kababs makes it hard not to eat here. Highly recommended.

Hasan catered my family party and it was excellent, highly recommend this restaurant for catering, indoor dining, or take out. I want to be fair, the food was good and the people seemed nice. Until when I got the bill I figured the numbers are jacked up I asked how did you get to this number she said because we add 18% service charge automatically. Nothing on the menu shows they do that and what's worse the bill has place for tips to get even more money.
Dishonesty to the fullest, something I do not tolerate at all.

Decided to try Persian food today. Service was a tad slow. Portions are pretty big. Food is tasty, But pricy. Gratuity is automatically charged. Overall a good place to try Persian food. Their yogurt sauce is really tasty. The flat bread is delicious. *fun fact, you get a plate of butter and raw onion. The raw onion is a delicacy that is enjoyed as is.

Don’t really know what’s going on. Seems like there’s a issue with my food more often then not. Twenty percent 20% of my koobideh was burned do to the grille malfunction there was nothing that can be done. I was told to order rare next time but it’s going to be pink inside. How about I order normal cooked and I get it that way. Gave up trying to explain it to the lady and just eat what I could. You burn twenty percent of my food and I pay one hundred percent of the price great job.

This review is for their new location at 2383 W. Lincoln Ave, Anaheim.
A nice new space for them. Which I hear they like. They are always friendly and welcoming. The food is good and generous in portion size. They are renovating the patio for outside seating and will be making an outside waiting area. They are doing well so far since opening up. The chicken Koobideh with Cherry Rice is really good. I'm glad they are closer to me. Its easy for parking as well. Please check them out at this new location. Support small businesses because they support the community. This restaurant is simply the best! Every time we dine here, we receive top-notch treatment. We've used their catering services three or four times, and they have never disappointed us. The food always exceeds our expectations in both quantity and quality. Their service is impeccable—always punctual and accommodating. They never rush for payment and are incredibly patient. I can't say enough good things about this place. Whenever I need catering, this is my go-to restaurant.

This restaurant was one of my biggest childhood memories. My parents always used to take me here around 12 years ago. I fell in love with Koobideh and persian cuisine because of Hatam. Thank you Hatam for being a part of my childhood and having amazing, nostalgic food.

Hatam (the one in Anaheim) used to have a good reputation; however, for the past few years the customer service has been sub-par, in particular when the woman on the phone takes an order. She will randomly start speaking Persian with you even if your primary language is English. I dont know if she is Afghan or Iranian, but she always gets my / my familys food order wrong and its like walking on eggshells to get something as simple as good tahdig from this place. Its a shame because theres a lot of potential but this woman seems to always ruin the customer service experience to the point that nobody wants to return.

The quality of the food and customer service was terrible. All the plates were dirty, and there were lipstick marks on the glasses. There was a hair in the yogurt and shallot dip. When I informed the waiter and said I wouldnt be leaving a tip due to the poor conditions, they responded aggressively and insisted that I must tip. They didnt even apologize for the bad service and dirty dishes.

Best tasting Persian food in Orange County , best prices, best service , most friendly staff n most helpful . Unfortunately on my last visit 2 of the servers were not very nice to me, kept ignoring what I asked for and one gave me a smart Alec response , the guy just ignore me twice , I had taken a guest there for first time, and they both disrespected me in front of my guest, not a professional nor hospitable way of treating a loyal customer, they angered me. Not cool .

Ran into someone who had mentioned Hatam at my usual Persian hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Tustin so had to try it and compare. Got Hatams combo boneless chicken and filet mignon. Verdict is the filet mignon, chicken, rice and grilled tomato which I like to cut in half to juice the rice were all on the dry side. Also, portions were smaller and not as flavorful as my usual place in Tustin. Persian ice cream had good flavor without overwhelming rose flavor so its the one thing I would recommend.

No consideration of environment. People on the phones who work there, people talking constantly, everyone asking for a menu, ect extremely disorganized. I won t be back anymore. I ordered for take out. Tipped 2$ on top to have me wait instead of simply doing a jog and handing me my food instead of placing it in front of a man talking constantly. lol..I won t be back.

Food taste good but overpriced for the portions of actual meat you get, literally 3 small slices on beef and 3 of chicken with about 2 pounds of rice for $27. I have been to many other places and its not like that okay. Supposed to be more there. Hummus was not that good, tasted like have been in the refrigerator long enough already. Placed a carry-out order that included dolmas (grape leaves) and two meat plates. This was my first time trying grape leaves, and unfortunately, they had an overwhelming bitter and overly flavorful taste that wasnt to my liking. However, the plates of meat were a different story the meat was cooked to perfection, retaining its juiciness. The pita bread and salad served on the side added to the delicious experience. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly service provided.

If you wont accept orders after 8 PM, it is nonsense to announce that you are open until 9. I and my friend and family had decided to meet there and each of us had drove for 90 minutes from opposite directions and we were here to place an order at 8:10, as the restaurant claims that it is open until 9 PM. However, surprisingly, we were turned away because the restaurant closes at 9!! Ridiculous!

One of the dumbest experience i have had . I Literally waited for 33 minutes for food I ordered when i got there , 12 minutes of them which is the food was ready n sitting on the counter. The only two servers out there passed over 7 times , until one decided to ask me what I ordered and give me my order , the worst part is she wanted to make me feel guilty that i ddnt know that the food is ready !!!!

Absolutely no service and quality of food was horrible. I blame the whole problems on the management/owners. It seems like they have lost their interest on this business. Its heartbreaking. Hello, good food, taste very good, good portion ingredients, good drinks, relaxing atmosphere, you feel like you are king Everything beyond and above Hatem restaurant in Anaheim is very relaxing and the quality of the food is excellent and delicious, and the service and behavior of the staff is excellent and very clean.

I use to go to Hatem Restaurant every month and I even recommended it to friends and family wedding. Last time I used it after covid-19 was Aug.25,22 I took an order togo to feed my 3 years old so he can try Hatem for the first time. After I picked up the order I went to the park and I was surprised to find the meat was burned (see photo) the rice tasted very old. I called the restaurant right away and they first said if I bring it back they will remake it, I told the lady that was not possible to go back then she told me that she will refund the purchase price $17.25 which was a lie.(they never refunded it. I will never use them again and I will make sure that I will let all family and friend to see the photo. The Lying is what I dont appreciate. what was bad is I can see from a distance that the lady opened the box and closed it and she was talking to another lady behind the counter. That was not professional to see what was in the box but ignore it. You kept my money, the trash kept the food, I had a bad taste from your restaurant. YOU LOSE!!!
