Modern American cuisine with a California fusion twist. Lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
We tried this out. The chicken pesto flat bread was good, thin crust and airy enough, the balsamic glaze overshadowed their "famous" pistachios pesto. My salmon was cooked perfectly, very garlicky couscous and cooked perfectly too, very good. My hubby had Chilean seabass one, the fish was fishy but also cooked perfectly, melting in your mouth. Our friends had lobster pasta and Shortrib fishes, they were delicious. The plate presentations and tastes were spot on and so for the pricing. The service was good. Definitely we will come back.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were treated with impeccable service — every staff member, from the hostess to our server, was friendly and attentive. We started with the shrimp and the short rib tacos as appetizers, and they were incredibly flavorful and tasty. For my main course, I had the chicken Milanese, which was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The drinks were both beautiful and delicious, adding a fun and creative touch to the experience. The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous, making it a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommend this gem!

This restaurant feels like it belongs inside Disney, it has that magical vibe from the moment you walk in. The space is clean and inviting, with beautiful decor that adds to the ambiance. We had reservations, and our hostess, Analis, warmly welcomed us and led us to our table. Our server, Yazmeth, was incredibly friendly and attentive, taking time to explain the drink menu in detail. We each ordered a drink, and both were excellent! The food was outstanding, and the dessert was equally impressive. We’ll definitely be returning and can’t wait to bring family along!

Try the cucumber lavender mimosa for brunch
It’s incredible!!!!
When Story Bar + Kitchen opened its doors, our family eagerly awaited our first visit. Last Saturday, we finally had the chance to go for brunch, and it was well worth the wait.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff, enhancing the already inviting ambiance. Although it took a few minutes to be seated, the wait was understandable. Once seated, we met our server, Sara, whose attentiveness added a special touch to our experience. She was charming and made sure we were fine on numerous occasions.
My wife opted for a salad and the 'just egg' dish, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The freshness of the ingredients and the bold flavors in both dishes were a hit.
My son and I indulged in the chicken and waffles. The waffles were crispy on the outside yet soft inside, creating a delightful contrast with the lightly spiced syrup. However, the chicken tenders, although flavorful, were slightly overcooked. A tad less time in the fryer next time would make them just right.
Our nephew chose the ahi tuna tacos, which he devoured in record time. The balance of the fresh tuna with a zesty sauce wrapped in a soft taco shell made for a winning dish.
My daughter went for the classic pancakes with chocolate syrup, which were fluffy and light—a dream come true for any child with a sweet tooth.
The kitchen did an impressive job in the speed and efficiency with which our food and drinks were served, minimizing our wait time and allowing us to enjoy our meal leisurely.
We left Story Bar + Kitchen with satisfied appetites and the resolution to return soon. There's a whole menu waiting to be explored, and we can't wait to dive in and discover more of what they offer.

I liked the menu better when it was Mimosa's. The food now is just ok. It's the kind of place you go to post on Instagram, not necessarily because the food is good. I'm also not a huge fan of the decor, it feels too dark and claustrophobic, but that's personal preference.
I got the short rib sandwich and I didn't like it at all. The bread was Parmesan crusted but just gave the whole sandwich a burnt taste. I ended up eating it without the bread and the short rib had no seasoning on it whatsoever. It was supposed to come with a dipping sauce but I never got that. The fries were also very oily.
Also tried the chicken Milanese and that one was much better than the short rib, but it was very small for the price and the breading was almost burned and very crunchy.
Service was also very slow. The only times we saw the waiter was when he took our orders and when he brought the check. Didn't get a refill and wasn't able to ask about the missing sauce. We went in the middle of the day too, so it wasn't too busy but he looked to be chatting with other people.
I thought I might come back to try something else off the menu but after this experience I don't think I will. At least with Mimosa's, it started off good then went downhill. If this is how they start off here, I don't want to see what it's like in a few months.

A newly opened restaurant (opened on 10/17/2024). Service was generally good, but may take time to run smoother. We loved the decorations and food presentations. Bao, short rib tacos, and sea bass were great. We found the Chicken milanesa the best deal. Ribeye was a bit tougher than expected. Utensil... Would prefer a regular dinner fork instead of a shorter version. Will definitely be back for more.

Amazing place for classic American cuisine. I got the Ribeye sandwich recommended by Mitzi and it was delicious. Everything was so tasty and nicely prepared. Such a great seating selection and they have a really pleasant ambiance. The place just opened and the way things are going this will be the next big hit in OC. Everything was terrific, no complaints whatsoever I can't wait to come back to Anaheim Hills and try it again. Mitzi and the team are true professionals, make sure to check this place out.

This place was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool. We came for brunch 9 of us. The huge booths were perfect. The espresso martini was good, the bloody Mary and the strawberry basil mimosa was the best. They have Americano and that was great..I had the espresso caramel pancakes it was dessert. I loved the devilled egg's. Tried my friends ube coconut waffles also delicious. My son had the fruity pebbles pancake. Like dessert so good..my other friend loved her short ribs. The bacon and potatoes were good. I had the classic. Breakfast with poached eggs and add the avocado to make my own avocado toast with a side of the aioli which was incredibly tasty. I will definitely come back for dinner..loved the concept and food and decor. Jody the server was great

First vist to this new restaurant. We thought the menu was good. Food was good. Would like to see more Gluten free options. The staff was great. The lights shinning down on the tables are way too Bright. Parking was ok.

Service was absolutely horrid. From sit-down to having someone take our order took about 15-20 minutes. After our order was finally taken, two other servers came to try to take our orders again. Great teamwork happening here. We ordered two cocktails (that seemed extremely watered down), pork bao, and chicken milanesa. They were edible. Just generally bland and lacking in any redeeming quality. Paying the bill was equally as messy as getting orders in. Would not recommend anyone waste their time here.

Our team had the pleasure of celebrating our Christmas Lunch at Story Anaheim Hills, and it was an unforgettable experience! Everything, from the outstanding service to the mouthwatering food, was truly top-notch. The **Short Rib** and **Ahi Tacos** were bursting with flavor, and the **Short Rib Grilled Cheese** with its sourdough parmesan-crusted bread was absolutely divine. The **Chicken Piccata** was perfectly prepared both tasty and incredibly filling. The **Rib Eye Sandwich**? Easily one of the most tender and delicious sandwiches weve ever had. Our server was exceptional, knowledgeable about every dish on the menu, and offered fantastic recommendations that made our experience even better. We were delighted to have our own private area, which made the occasion feel extra special. To top it all off, the **Agua Chile cocktail** was the perfect refreshing addition to our meal. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Story Anaheim Hills, for making our Christmas Lunch so memorable. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for incredible food, exceptional service, and a wonderful atmosphere.

They don t serve anything for their weekday brunch. The only time they actually serve something other than eggs is the weekend and even then the lines and wait time are long. Doesn t make it any better that the hostess out front seems new & from the two times we ve gone she doesn t know what she s doing.

My first visit to Story. Treated my mom Barbara to dinner the day after Thanksgiving. I tried the chicken piccata and half of it was tough. Once in a while this happens. One of the managers Jake came over and made things right. This just happens sometimes and we understand. Its how they respond that matters. Jake came over and spoke to us about our meal and took care of us. Our servers Amber Leigh and Jodie were very good and deserve props too!

The food is great but the service from Amber at the bar was amazing. So attentive and professional. Suggested some great items from the menu that were outstanding. We had the Ahi tacos and Charcuterie plate and the drinks were perfect. I d highly recommend this business. It was very busy but they were able to accommodate us at the last minute.

I had dinner with my wife and another couple on a recent Friday night and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the staff were very nice and accommodating. I had the short rib tacos and a Caesar salad and it was fantastic. They have a sizable whiskey list, however I would like to suggest a preference. I ordered a glass of whiskey neat (no ice) and the glass it came in was not to my liking. I may sound pretentious, but when I typically order a glass of whiskey neat, I usually receive it in a classical whiskey glass. I didn t care for their whiskey glass because it was so different and almost seem like a cognac glass. They are still deserving of 5 stars and I am mentioning a personal preference. We will be back! Thank you.

Jodi was an absolutely astonishing server she blew it out of the park with her friendliness and knowledge. The food and cocktails were also fantastic. My fiancee got the picatta and i got the short rib and it was tender and full of flavor. We shared the goat cheese crustini and cheesecake as well and they all were wonderful. My fiancee loved the creasy peach drink and normally sticks to one drink and had to get another! I cannot recommend this place enough.

We heard about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. It is dark inside. Our server was pleasant. I had the pork belly bao sandwich that needed extra sauce. Very dry. We also had the spicy Thai salad, added shrimp. $27.00! It was not a large salad and definitely overpriced. The sodas were $4.50 which I think is overpriced as well. Most likely will not return, but wish them luck!

tried them last night and it is a beautiful space in anaheim hills. chef christy gray has put together a great menu of shareables, small plates and entrees. tried the short rib tacos to start (a must try), followed by the bulgogi pizza, the short rib pasta, sticky ribs and ribeye steak and lobster. all were wonderfully prepared and plated and had great flavor. i can see this place being a great blend of scene and food. maybe the setting for a real housewives of OC set? seriously i can see this being a great place for scene that also has great food. service was friendly and fast as well.
