Welcome to Earl of Sandwich Downtown Disney at the Tavern. Located in Anaheim, CA, Earl of Sandwich’s extensive menu pays tribute to the art of the sandwich. We feature an impressively wide variety of sandwiches on fresh-baked artisan bread, hand-tossed salads, soups, wraps and much more. We maintain our unique brand’s exceptional taste by using only the finest, freshest ingredients available for everything we serve. Stop by Earl of Sandwich in Anaheim, CA and experience the World’s Greatest Hot Sandwich and more!
Our dining experience at the Downtown Disney location involved a significant wait time, approximately one hour before seating. The menu offers diverse options suitable for all ages. Service was excellent, with attentive staff. However, food quality was inconsistent. The chicken Alfredo was undercooked, though palatable. The chimichurri sandwich arrived cold, while the fries were satisfactorily crisp. The prime rib lacked seasoning and flavor. Despite the remarkably fast service (under 10 minutes), the inconsistent food quality should be noted. Fair pricing makes it still worth considering.

Great place to stop for any meal. We visited in October and had a table on the patio for dinner. Super great spot to relax and still see all of the fun that surrounds Downtown Disney and Disneyland. Great people watching spot for sure. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and had no complaints about any of it. The service was good, attentive and really nice. Left feeling full and happy and ready to hit the parks again.

This review is for Earl's quick-service side in Downtown Disney. Currently, two locations are open: one on the east side of DTD and a new Pop-up (July 30th, 2024) on the west end of DTD next to the old ESPN Zone structure.
No matter what location Earl of Sandwich is based in, it offers some tasty grub. I love the variety of the menu, from sandwiches, wraps, and salads, the classics to the Limited Editions that change regularly, to grab-n-go desserts and other snacks. The pop-up locations also offer cold sandwiches.
When it comes to sandwiches, Earl's has some real winners. The Full Montagu, the Holiday Turkey, and the Original 1762 are a few of my favorites. My recent order of the Limited Edition Earl's Pastrami was delicious; my only critique is that it felt a little skimpy based on the advertised photo. I still enjoyed the sandwich.
There's plenty of seating in the patio areas, but if that area is full, there's a hidden and quiet picnic area across from Earl's near where the tram drops guests off under the monorail track. The pop-up location also has a few shaded tables for convenience.
The staff provides a pleasant experience through the ordering process to order pick-ups. Magic Key pass holders also get a discount off your order.
We will see where Earl of Sandwiches makes its permanent home at DTD. For now, these locations work fine.

Atmosphere - 4 stars - Located at the far end of downtown Disney (closest to park entrances) counter service with outdoor seating.
Service- 3 stars- basic counter service cast members- nothing stands out here. Took order kinda robotic.
Food- 5 stars- the food shines here for its quality and value. I got the Holiday Turkey sandwich- it’s a whole Thanksgiving dinner in one sandwich!! It’s loaded with turkey, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry and mayo. So good!!

We wanted to try the sandwiches here so we stopped. We ordered chicken wrap, a salad, tater tots, side of turkey, tuna sandwich and some drinks. Well the staff person helping us was very accommodating with the side of turkey but they forgot the tater tots so we had to go back and get them. The wrap was okay but nothing special. What we didn’t like was this place is not very wheelchair friendly. The aisle is very small and when at the register, my poor family member was in the way of others that we had to take her outside for more space. The patio seating is nice if you can find a table. It wasn’t too busy when we ordered but it did start to get busy; however, the wait for our food wasn’t a huge wait.

We went to check out Downtown Disney and we were hungry for lunch. After walking the length of the Downtown, we settled on the sit down area of Earl of Sandwich. Our server was fantastic, funny and attentive (wish I could remember her name!) The food was delicious and the patio seating was perfect, with beautiful weather! The food was definitely expensive, but we expected that, given it's location in Disney. Overall we would recommend this place for lunch! :)

I think out of all the food places we tried in our 3-day adventure this was the most cost efficient and most delicious. Bothe the sandwiches and the tavern were great spots to go to. The breakfast was filling, coffee was delicious. I would recommend coming multiple times if your planning a budget friendly visit to Disneyland.

Just stop here for dinner. They were super friendly, the food came super quick, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We actually looked at other places to eat but this place made us feel like they wanted us to be there. Whereas other places here almost seemed like they were over customers for the day.

Dined at The Tavern I was so disappointed with today’s service. The person I believe was the manager told us our table was ready, then said it wasn’t, and had us waiting another 5 minutes. Finally, when we were seated, my family and I were squished together in a small area. The servers were just standing there trying to pass by but couldn’t. Then they told us we had to move to another table after we were already seated. It was truly unorganized. Overall, the food was okay, but the management was bad.

I was given $5 coupon when I combined about the cold dry old fish and chips and the meat in my cob salad that tasted old. The waitress didn't offer a refund for our $76 dinner or to remake it.
When we got back to Seattle I sent a complaint to the company about the terrible food that we actually felt sick from theat night we ate there. The company sent me a $5 coupon far cry from any compensation for a terrible meal but also the coupon couldn't be used any where but Disneyland. Why would I want to eat there again after that bad food anyway.
I really think we should be refunded at least one of the meals even though both were bad.
If you eat there and the food doesn't taste right make sure to talk to the manager and refuse to pay which will be the only way you will get your money back for really bad food.

I can’t tell you what a blessing this place was after a busy day in Disneyland! Our waitress Eve took such incredible care of us. She made us feel extra loved and like we were family. She can see needs you don’t even verbalize! She got an extra chair for our exhausted 3 year old to lay down and sleep. She knew which wines to suggest for 2 overwhelmed mamas. She knew exactly how long each of the kids’ foods took to cook and was able to suggest extra quick options for the hangry toddlers. What an awesome experience. Don’t miss out on Eve at the Earl of Sandwich!

Worse service ever, definitely won't be going back which is sad because the first time we ate there months ago it was really good and friendly staff. We had lunch here recently. I was very surprised at the level of customer service and great staff. This location is at downtown Disney and is very busy with park goers. And park goers can be difficult to deal with due to the huge crowds.
The sandwiches were excellent and the prices were lower than expected.
We will be going back every time we visit Disneyland.
I highly recommend this sandwich shop. Best bang for your buck at Disneyland or DCA.

If you're looking for a pleasant lunch spot in Downtown Disney, Earl of Sandwich has a charming outdoor area with plenty of sunshine and light shading to keep you comfortable as you enjoy your meal.
The highlight of this visit was definitely the bread—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly toasted. However, while the bread was impressive, the sandwiches themselves were a bit hit-or-miss. My husband truly enjoyed his Cuban but my Italian didn’t quite meet my expectations for an authentic Italian flavor.
That said, we’re eager to give Earl of Sandwich another go with my eye on the 1762 sandwich.
Overall, Earl of Sandwich is a nice spot to enjoy a casual meal, and the setting alone makes it worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.

I LOVE Earl of Sandwich located at DD FL.
This location is ridiculous. I was overjoyed and super excited to eat here during my vacation… Specifically my first night at Disney.
On their website, it says that they offer the veggie sub. On the Disneyland app it does not. I made a long walk from my hotel to downtown Disney just so I could get this sub.
Of course… The veggie sub… The most complicated sub in the world to make they do not have available on their menu.
I addressed the discrepancy in person at the register. I pointed out that online it says they have it at this specific location. The employee did not care at all. I asked if there was any way I could order a veggie sub and she said no.
So you are telling me that you cannot take the same bread and all the toppings that you offer for the other subs and just make a veggie with no meat and no cheese because I am vegan.? This makes absolutely no sense to me.
You lost a customer and I am reconsidering if this is an establishment that I want to visit again. So disappointing. Horrible customer service.

I did not view this employee tell anyone else they can not sit here although I'm viewing plenty of new people coming to sit down. There is NO SIGN not to sit here without food or drink purchases

Rude and condescending attitude of employees. I’m always courteous and respectful, but there were two young women that acted as though I was wasting their time, even smirked and whispered while trying to ignore me. I even witnessed the manager being dismissive and rude to customers. It seems the quality and size of their food went downhill after they were located in downtown Disney.

Are you going to Disneyland? On a budget because of all the money you spent on a ticket and at the park itself? Want good value for the price? Then Earl of Sandwich is the way to go!
I've been going to Downtown Disney for years and have passed this place up multiple times, but I decided to try it out this time!
The service was fast and efficient. By the time I filled up my drink, found a table, and sat down, my food was ready in less than 10 minutes, and it was pretty busy. Staff was a little robotic, but it's no big deal, to be honest. It's a sandwich shop, so it's all fine.
The food is where the star shines! For only $9, you can pick yourself up a decently sized and delicious sandwich! Pair that up with unlimited fountain drinks, and a bag of chips and a combo will run you about $12. I'm a big dude, so I got their breakfast bacon and egg sandwich along with the chipotle chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious and pretty big for the price and got me full for most of the day. I will admit, it is a lot of bread, so many people might not like that. The bread itself is really good but a little dry. I personally think the bread slices need a little mayo or something on it. They also fill the sandwiches with plenty of meat.
The atmosphere is fine for what it is. Inside is really small and can get cramped, but the staff moves the line quickly. If you have a walker or wheelchair it's gonna be hard to move around inside, so I would recommend you have someone order for you or ask for assistance. The outside patio area is nice and spacious with enough shade, small canopy umbrellas, and the shade from the trees to keep you nice and cool with access to restrooms, too. Nice area to relax, and people watch as well. If you're in a hurry, you can also order online and do a quick pickup as well
Overall, if you're looking to save some money and want good value to the food portion, I highly recommend this place to try!

We arrived around 9:30 AM on a Thursday, there was no wait to sit. One of the hostesses was very sweet, but there is a hostess there with fake eyelashes named Jovana that has a bad attitude. It’s a good place to do some work and get some breakfast before heading in, the only improvement needed is from customer service.

UPDATE 5/10/2024
One of the Managers (Juan) ended up getting ahold of me and resolved every concern and inconvenience. They went above and beyond in not only addressing the situation that happened but also to make sure that we were heard and taken care of moving forward. Since Juans involvement, we have only positive things to say about the team and organization.
Had a very frustrating day that involved an EOS employee stealing my girlfriends phone 2/9/24. Phone was left in the restroom connected to the restaurant. We tracked the location to the restaurant and searched for over 1hr. Asked the staff multiple times if any of the employees had found a phone in the bathroom and nothing. At around 3pm that day, the phone location started to move. We had to then leave the park (Disneyland) and follow the phone which left the employee parking lot and travelled to garden grove. We eventually caught up to the employee and approached her in the parking lot of a grocery store and shared that we had tracked the location and asked is she found a phone, to which she claimed to not understand us. The second she drove away with her family, the location started to move...go figure! We then called the police and followed them. When we came to a stop finally we shared that we knew she had the phone, had called the police, and asked for the phone back. At which point she gave the phone back and we left. That same evening I went back to the restaurant and filed a complaint with Alex who was a manager on staff. He was polite and took all the information down and said someone would be in touch, which never happened. What's most upsetting is he shared that the employees know to turn in all found personal items and its apart of procedure. This did not happen. Due to poor character and integrity of a staff member, we lost an afternoon at Disneyland. We requested time off of work for this and were looking forward to this day for a long time. This was very upsetting and still days later has us completely bummed out.

Waited over 10 minutes for 3 sandwiches, staff let it sit there without calling us or activating buzzer, continued to mingle amongst themselves and or take more ordered until their back counter was full of sandwiches.
The manager(?) offered to remake it after family demanded for it.
Food itself was good, original could use a bit more horseradish.

The service was exceptional and very friendly we even spoke a bit with the owner (I’m assuming he is) he gave my son some cherries and our host brought out celebration badges along with a surprise little cake & ice cream for us. May I just say I am beyond grateful for such hospitality! The food was AMAZING and the drinks were very tasty! 100/100 would recommend!
we hope to stop by again very soon! Thank you again! All the love from Arizona!

The server took our parking ticket, but didn’t validate it resulting in a $27 parking charge when exiting downtown Disney. We then called the restaurant asking to speak with the manager. This restaurant is probably the most reasonably priced sandwich shop in downtown Disney. I have gone there for breakfast before entering Disneyland and sometimes have had Dinner after a full day at Disneyland. I really liked that they make the salads when ordered. We were able to customize it without issue. For the sandwiches, the outside wrapper is clearly marked with a sticker with the name of the sandwich which I appreciate especially if there are several people in the group. The only complaint I had is that the avocado was extremely hard to find in my Chicken Bacon Avocado wrap. Otherwise the food was very tasty.

* UPDATE * They obiously don’t care if they receive poor reviews. I asked one of the workers outside the location, did you see the review I left? “ They don’t care about reviews, they care about tourist, we get enough so they don’t care”
This is the customer service FAIL that is plaguing businesses and causing loss of revenue and growth. There are other GREAT places to eat within a few feet that provide a better quality of food and care about their customers.
This location is quite a bit smaller than the one in Disney Springs and smaller than the old location as well. The food quality here has been a tad bit lower than normal lately. Pass by here on a weekly basis and decided to give them a try again. The visit was delayed in the order line with a payment system that went down. So we stood there waiting for a longer than nessesary wait to get our food. Once we received our food, we had to find a seat outside as there were no seats inside, again, unlike the old local and the one in Disney Springs. The sandwiches had a less than aesthetically appealing look to them, but had good flavor profiles. Worth the price point, not at all at $9 a pop. The broccoli cheddar soup was not bad and as I remembered with good amounts of broccoli and had was served hot. The tomato soup on the other hand had more croutons than soup, so that was disappointing for sure. $5 a cup for those….The Miss Vickie jalapeño kettle chips were as they always are, good, but NOT at $2.25 a peice… By piece I mean 10 chips… We decided to partake in a few desert choices they offered for review purposes. Chocolate chip cookies, brownies and the strawberry shortcake cheesecake from company - Bsweet. The chocolate chip cookies were ok, not amazing by any stretch, but good. Not granular and had a decent bite with classic chocolate chip cookie flavor and around $4.50 The brownie bites were the winner here! Moist, chocolaty, flavorful and classic delicious brownie flavor we love. These were $5…. The loser, the Bsweet strawberry debacle they have for sale. From the looks of it, we had great expectations. From the first bite, you knew this was NOT going to be something you finish. The texture was foamy and not cakey by any means. The strawberry flavor was completely artificial and chemical tasting. A total disaster in your mouth and ruins your tastebuds for some time after you wash down the concoction. When you have multiple people tasting the same item with the same result, you know it’s the product. This disaster was priced the highest at $9 and it added insult to injury…
The decor is not anything to write home about, as you would have hoped for in a Disney attraction enviroment. The location is ideal as it is a stones throw from the front gates of both parks. But at this price point, there are better options for your dollar, especially in these times. Sorry, Earl Of Sandwich has been downgraded to a viscount… But at least its not a baron… There is hope for redemption if they can turn it around…I’m not holding breath… More care in their product… Better desert choices that are actually tested for goodness BEFORE overcharging and feeding to customers… Kick up the atmosphere and decor a bit… Don’t rip people off… $2.25 for a bag of chips with 10 chips in it? Really Earl, really? $3.99 for a med fountain drink? Again, really?? $8.99 for chemical cake? A $65 experiment I wouldn’t do again for that price… 3/5 is a fair rating, as most would just give you 1 star and call it a day.

Went here for some drinks to take a break from disney. Another bartender said this is the place to go with the best bartenders. She wasn't wrong. We have had Gabe two days now and he is great to talk to, attentive and all around just a great guy. He made our disney experience great. We came in 4 separate times to see him. This is a must for people looking for some good drinks and banter. Thank you Gabe!

Pretty good food, ridiculously good service and a nice patio vibe off downtown Disney.

The food here was delicious. Very affordable for being in disneyland. Also they move the line fast. Almost no wait for your food. Would definitely recommend for a quick meal on the go at disney.

Had the Turkey Club. It was pretty okay. The kids had some of the best chicken tenders I think I've ever seen though. Hot and juicy. The kid's burger was good too but the fries left a little to be desired.

I never understood the hype of Earl of Sandwich when people spoke of it. But after being around fast food for almost a week straight, I just craved a salad. It may not be in the name, but Earl of Sandwich made a wonderful salad. It was filling and reasonably priced too. Returned here twice in a week and on the second trip, I grabbed a wrap. Perfectly made.
I just wished the staff wouldn't continuously shout out "Next Guest!!!" Every three seconds even after you are clearly looking at the menu, and even go so far as to say that.
They have an outside eating area, but I took my food to go.

Absolutely fantastic hot sandwiches that don't break the bank in Downtown Disney.
We tried the Italian, Earl's Club, tater tots, chicken chipotle sandwich and chicken noodle soup. Everything hit the spot on a chilly rainy day. The sandwiches were simple but so good. I liked how the bread was soft and each sandwich was cut in half which definitely made it easier to eat. The sandwiches were so good, we even got some to go. They reheat pretty well in the microwave. I only wish they had a shop in NYC!

The best thing about this place was the ducks at the dining area since the Holiday Turkey sandwich tasted good but felt like a reheated frozen leftover sandwich flavored with Thanksgiving. Apparently a what seemed to be a day old cinnamon bun costs just as much as a full size sandwich. I don't plan on having another scamwich here again.

Early Sandwich at Downtown Disney offers a delightful selection of gourmet sandwiches, with one particular star in my book: the turkey sandwich. However, be prepared to factor in parking costs when budgeting for your visit.

The workers here hustle 💪🏽 we were seated at the bar with Roberto, who is not only tending to the bar but is all over this place tending to guests who mostly all know him by name. Excellent work, everyone.

If you're a fan of the Earl of Sandwich menu, the Tavern menu is completely different. Think more of your classic above average restaurant food (with above average prices). My wife got a Caesar salad and I got the fish tacos; both were delicious. We also ordered a couple of their signature cocktails; these were not anything to write home about. The service was nice and friendly. My only issue I had with the restaurant is they only accepted cash for that particular evening we were there. Not sure what the problem was but I hope they get that fixed soon.

Earl always delivers. Bomb bread and they are generous with the meat. I've ate here three times this week. The Italian is a classic and I had the Cuban twice it was so good. Go for the extra meat and cheese, it is well worth it. This is in downtown Disney. They have a bunch of baked goods as well that look delicious. The buttered toasted bread is the chefs kiss.

Just sharing this beautiful brick of baked goods in 6 different layers! 2 of us have been eating for 2 days. Is a delicious bite with coffee and a worthy treat that serves many.
The second dessert is their Ube Cake… which I think is beautiful in color 💜 but …I feel like it’s not fair that I critique it because I bought it for my daughter who loved it 😂 (I found it grossly sweet and without flavor and it would get a 3 rating if it stood alone).

Great food as always!! It’s a must every time we are at Disneyland! Italian is my go to, never disappoints and my wife had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was great as well.

Was it the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten? Absolutely not. However, it was pretty good. I was told that the Italian sandwich was going to be very flavorful. It wasn’t full of flavor, but it was pretty good. The bread is what really makes it delicious. It’s not a lot of food if you have a hearty appetite, but it will do the trick. The people were nice. The place was really clean. The bathroom was very clean. Lots of seating outside.

One of the worst meals ever at a very overpriced eatery at downtown Disney. The green salad has zero flavor and is soggy. I will never eat here again.

I very much enjoyed this little sandwich shop located at downtown Disney in Anaheim. The food was fairly priced and might even be considered cheap for being in a place like Disney where food is usually expensive. Their sandwiches were about 8 dollars and provided more than enough food to satisfy my hunger of walking around to park all day. The staff was polite and the seating was heated outdoors at night when it got chilly this January. Our group ended up going for both lunch and dinner. My only complaint was that making the sandwich a combo was an extra $5.50 including only a medium fountain drink and a bag of chips. But overall it was really good and I would recommend for people looking for lunch at Disney for a good price.

The line for Earl of Sandwich Tavern was consistently 20-30min. We decided to get on the list and ended up sitting at the pizza counter. It was fun to watch the pizza 🍕 chefs.
We ordered the Mac n cheese burger 🍔. It was big, messy, and fun to eat. Perfectly medium and flavorful.
The service was friendly and fast. Would return when it Downtown Disney again.

THE BEST sandwiches!
The outdoor seating provided a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, offering a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of Disney crowds.
The sandwiches were not only delicious but also made for the perfect refueling during my Disney visit. Whether it's a quick bite before, after, or even during your time at the park, I highly recommend stopping by!!!

Got my order wrong. The grilled cheese was some cheese on basically a burger bun, and the tomato soup and cheese and broccoli soup tasted worse than Campbells

The food for dine-in was good. The reasons why I gave it a 4 star, my fries came out cold already when the food arrived to me, I got my burger in medium cook and it came out fully cooked which is no big deal because the burger was still moist and soft to eat, the high table by the bar was wobbly so it was a struggle to not move the table so much or else our food falls off the table, and lastly, I hope they change the time to order the prime rib. The time to order the prime rib was at 1:30pm and we dine in at 12:50pm, so keep in mind, if you want prime rib, go in after 1:30pm.

Food we ordered included chicken Wings. Unfortunately it was overwhelmed with too much sauce made it difficult to enjoy
We wiped off most of the sauce. Otherwise the wings were tender. The atmosphere was just ok. Didn't like that they allowed a vendor in to take photos and sell them to guests. His pitch was misleading. I guess my issue cuz i don't like being distracted while dining.

Ate in the Earl of Sandwich Tavern twice during a recent visit to the parks. I can't say enough about their service and food quality. They were great about allergen issues. Had the tasty and tender, slow roasted chicken with the most amazing garlic mashed potatoes and fantastic green beans.

Earl of Sandwich Tavern offers a great selection of food and great customer service. Request to be seated in Erikka’s section and you won’t be disappointed! We recently visited to celebrate my nephews birthday and she comped him a treat for dessert. I highly recommend the Mac-N-Cheese Burger with fries, it is mouthwatering.

I'm grateful for Gabe. He was doing a great job today multitasking a lot of things. I felt a bit of the warmth in your customer service and you're very friendly. I hope your hard work and charisma is acknowledged.
For the food I had a pretty decent meal. I had the chimichurri steak sandwich and I didn't really taste any of the chimichurri flavor. It was interesting to have the red and green tortilla chips in the sandwich but I was definitely wanting more flavor or at least being able to taste the chimichurri sauce which tasted like it might not have been in the sandwich. Had the Mac n cheese on the side which was decent but tasted somewhat undercooked? Or just too soft or something.
The area for the bar seating feels very cluttered and it's such a small area. I don't expect it to be big but I'd much rather have a table next time. It was very uncomfortable seating at the bar.
