Stater Bros. Markets

I'm not a fan of shopping of any kind so there's a special place in my heart for stores that make it easy for me. What I appreciate most about this Stater Brothers is that not only do they have most any item you're looking for, but they offer most things in different brands. You get choices, which almost makes the store too big. The place is spotless. When you get to the registers, don't fear. Unlike most stores where there are only a few lines open, they have friendly employees who are pleasant to talk with and they do it all while quickly scanning your items. A great shopping experience.

First of all I love Stater Bros in general. All the employees are super friendly and very helpful. This is directed to the seafood dept or the person that trains them.
I came in Monday and purchased a pound of the shrimp with the heads on. I didn’t look at the pan of the shrimp in the case. I just assumed they were all good. I took it home, put it in the freezer and on Tuesday took it out to use them. When I opened the package there was black liquid at the bottom of the paper. Over 75% of the shrimp the heads were solid black and some of the bodies were black as well. After googling black shrimp it said that it means the shrimp have been exposed to a bacteria and should be discarded. I immediately called Stater brothers and the associate I spoke to said that I could bring them back in and exchange them. I came back tonight to exchange them but I noticed that the majority of the ones in the case had the same issue. I asked him and he said they should be fine since most of them have the same black issue. I said no that’s actually not true. And explained what it meant. I’ve bought them many times and they are never black. So I decided not to worry about it and just asked him to throw them away since it was only $8.
Come on Stater Brothers get on top of your seafood! If your associate notices something when they’re putting them out, why would they even put them out? They should know what is good and what is bad seafood and not display or sell bad seafood. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with bad seafood from this particular Stater Brothers. The first time was king crab legs that were absolutely disgusting. They were brown and gray In color and slimy. Those I got exchanged, but I’ve never bought again.
As I said, I love the stater Brothers and I will come back again. However, I will not be buying any more seafood from Stater Brothers.

There was Liver meat in my Teriyaki Shishkebabs. Imagine going to bite into a juicy looking beef Shishkebabs and it's filled with Liver. When you ask for stuff to be split up and wrapped they act like your an alien. Maybe I don't wanna defrost 8lbs of food at once for 1 or 2 people. Stater bros please if you see this, take this seriously. I email complained and everything. My family is disgusted.

I’ve always appreciated how Stater Bros. on Av Rd is tucked away in a corner. I stopped visiting for a while due to unhelpful staff, but recently, I've been using Instacart, and it's been a refreshing experience. The staff is friendly, and I want to highlight Destiny in the fruit section—she's consistently helpful. I truly value her assistance, especially in this desert heat.

Rude cashiers.
This isn’t the first time I had been treated unfairly from a cashier here.
They don’t acknowledge you, They ring you up and don’t tell you the total.
I don’t know if it’s racism or if it’s because I’m using my ebt but this place needs to get more friendly people put on the registers.
If I could give them “0” stars I would.

Store is clean. The workers are always extremely nice. This isn't the closest Stater Bros to me, so this isn't my regular store, but I still come here, probably, a few times a month. Stater Bros has a good selection and fair prices on their meat. Their produce at all their stores is terrible though. I bought the strawberries in the picture I posted, yesterday, and I went to coat them in chocolate today, and more than 1/2 of them were already far too gone to eat. Stater Bros in general is way more expensive than shopping at Walmart, so I only shop there when I need something and can't wait for a Walmart trip. Oh and their prices of their bakery items and premade items is outrageous! I spent the same amount of money on the chocolate and strawberries in my basket than the premade chocolate covered strawberries, but I can probably make 200 strawberries out of all the chocolate I bought.

I love shopping here for groceries! The food they sell already made towards the front side is so delicious and fresh! Their already made food is amazing saves time when u don’t feel like cooking, their produce is always fresh and the staff is always super friendly!

Stopped by Stater Bros to pick some items up for dinner. The store was stocked and clean. The produce section looked great. Their meat department is always the best! The cashier was very nice and efficient!

This store has everything! The only problem we have encountered is that the fruit is never sweet. The strawberries and raspberries look really good but eating them is another story waiting to be told. They should consider giving samples before making people by them. You can always taste the grapes so why not have samples of the fruit? Why? Because then no one would want them. Seriously!!

Disabled customers beware. You will be treated like a criminal here. You will be asked if you are taking the electric cart to the parking lot multiple times in an aggressive manner. If they checked their security footage they would see that I customarily leave the cart by the entrance, plugged in so the next user can have it charged. Except when I have a full cart. Then I gladly accept an assistants company. This particular cashier claimed that her repeated question was to make sure because some people say no and take them out anyway. 1. Asking repeatedly does not guarantee anything. 2. Putting the burden of your security needs on disabled customers does not solve anything. Are disabled customers not burdened enough? Try seeing things from our perspective. If you need more security, hire. I hold management responsible for this. You keep her on and nothing changes. Apologies without significant change are empty words. The store employee in question forgets: We pay for her service. She gets paid to serve us, not the other way around. I do not want to be yelled at, talked down to, or be treated aggressively by someone Im paying. Disabled customers deserve better.

Like the quality of their meats there, but HIGHLY expensive to shop there, better atmosphere than FOOD 4 LESS though, less stinky frigging dirty bottom feeders you have to stand next to in line

Shop there because it close or I happen to be passing by, all the supermarkets have stopped competing now with all the mergers 5 or 6 different names all owned by 2 companies, no more competition, I worked in the grocery industry for 30 years , no loyalty anymore, do weekly shopping where the best deals are during the week need something I get where ever it s near by!!!

Stater Bros generally has relatively inexpensive and good food. It might not be a nationwide behemoth of a store, but its wide range of products serve Southern California well. As for this particular store, its atmosphere is good and I would recommend shopping for groceries here.

It was very expensive, I go there for about 4or5 items and thats it.i do my shopping at wenco,and aldis.they have there special items and its very cheap.lays chips at stater stores 4 bucks aldis chips that I like better 1.49.Staters is more than Albertsons or vons.They need to quit showing there new commercials.Staters brothers used to be cheap ,not no more....

Meat department workers look disgusting! I didnt want them touching my meat! Long beards and badly groomed. How did they get a job? I got a dirty feeling from them and felt disgusted. What is going g on in this store?Ok, the hiring standards have dropped. Employees have strange hair styles and tattoos. I remember Stater Bros only hired the best people - times have changed. Who wants strange people touching your food? Lol

I really appreciate how many of the employees at this store take the time to assist customers. I tend to be a little bit of a pain in the back side when Im in the produce department. Anyways seems that I cant find what Im looking for and I feel that I am constantly asking the produce staff for this item or that item and quite frequently this involves them needing to go in the back to look for something that Im requesting. They always have a smile on their face and do their best to find what Im looking for with the absolute most pleasant demeanor. Its very refreshing and nice to be treated so well when quite often its contrary. I have a small rabbit rescue and Im constantly in the produce department buying things so this extra effort from the stater Brothers produce department is greatly appreciated. I have gone to other stores and asked for assistance and just been dismissed with a simple we dont have any... Without the person even checking.

The prices are decent and the selection is very good. Im able to find everything I need and then some. Dominic is super nice and extremely helpful as are other store employees. This will definitely be one of my go to grocery stores.

They have everything I need dont have to worry about club cards etc. Pricing is lower then Albertsons and the staff is helpful. Best place for fresh meat.
