Stater Bros. Markets

Our family has used Stater Bros Up and Down the Hill with great success for many years now. For our family living Up the Hill, Stater Bros store #110, located at Bear Valley and Navajo in Apple Valley is our local grocery. Dalton was a superb assistant manager for us until he was transferred. Now we have Gabriel who is the store manager and also superb. One of the many strengths exhibited by these two leaders and others at the store and regional is their ability to listen to and care about what customers have to say. Also at this store are many workers who have spent their lifetimes working here and in a few cases, their children are now working here and guided by other workers who knew their parents. Everyone seems to really enjoy working here and pulls together as a team to produce really amazing results. At the risk of overlooking so many who go out of their way to help, we will mention just a few of the more recent ones among many examples, such as, Ed, Deanna, and the very friendly people who bring our groceries to the car. One and all, these people really care about others and do their utmost at every turn. Stater Bros is truly a family store through and through. Thank you.

I was in town for the holiday, and as soon as I walked in the door ,I was greeted by everyone.. everyone was so friendly, I couldn't believe it. Coming from customer service myself it was very noticeable. The energy was great!! Mgr Gabriel, your team was amazing!! Keep it up. I always say a happy team, steams from a great leader!! I do all my grocery shopping online & Stater's is far superior to any other grocery store. Items are always fresh or have long expiration dates & are delivered in a timely manner. Recently I needed to add substitutions to my order after chat closed & Marlene, the assistant manager, was pleasantly accommodating. She not only personally filled my order, but used a gift card to pay for the items. Thank you so much, Marlene.

We have been shopping at this location for decades, but it seems like since they put the new one in the "nice" part of Apple Valley, we are a bit neglected. That being said, I was in line this morning with one item. The cashier asked for backing, which arrived, so I headed over to the new person, as I was the next in line. She ignored me and went to the line. I explained that I was the next person in the existing line. She never apologized for being rude. I spoke with my husband, and he knew exactly who I was referring to before I even described her, stating that he intentionally avoids her line. We don't mind that our store is a bit run down and often the last to get resources, but we continue to come for the friendly staff that's been there for decades, in some cases. If new staff don't want to join the friendly culture, I'm sure there's an opening at the new location...

This stater bros has been in this location since I was a kid and it has always remained the Same environment.. wonderful, heartwarming, inviting,friendly environment. I really love going here because all the employees are friendly and knowledgeable of their store. Not once have I heard "I dont work in that department, so I'm not sure" so I appreciate that response. Their baggers are so efficient at how they put things in the bag and never have I seen one mad worker. They rarely have long lines and even if they do you'll see a manager come down from their office to help out. Now that is excellence in customer service, their cart retrievers are so dedicated that they'll go in the rain! To get that cart, amazing work. Their meats are so tastey and fresh and if you want a particular size of cut these guys do it all from seasoning, to cubing and cutting, so efficient!So if you're ever in need of quality meats, and a friendly environment this is your store! Great job everyone keep it up!

This is the Stater Bros I buy my groceries at. It's not too far away from where I live
. They are very willing to help you to your car if you're handicap or the elderly.
As of lately the cost of groceries has gone up a lot and I'm unable to purchase what I use to buy. All thanks to the increasing costs of everything.
Otherwise nothing else has changed.

The only thing that has changed is the cost of groceries. It costs more for less. At least I walked out of there with a $ 1.13 in my pocket walked in with 78.00.

Very disturbing experience today at this location! As I walked in the door you could smell Christmas in the air. There was a young man coming down the stairs from the office as he walked towards me i asked where the smell was coming from? He replied I don't know maybe your upper lip... I was stunned by his reply! This young man wasn't wearing a name tag but he was wearing management clothing, black pants, white shirt and a red tie! He is bald wears glasses. Very rude young man! I will not be shopping at this location again.

I am a loyal customer of Stater Bros markets. Always clean and well stocked. Great meat, deli, produce, liquor, and service deli departments. Friendly hard working employees. Dawn is always friendly and welcoming at the checkstand. No matter how busy it is, she always goes out of her way to make eye contact and welcome you with a smile. As is usual and customary with Stater Bros, the store looked exceptional very clean and neat. The customer service was again, second to none. The fried chicken and potato wedges were cooked and seasoned to perfection! Colonel Sanders doesn't have ish on Staters! Well done Apple Valley Starer Bros!

I purchased pre sliced turkey across from the sushi and noticed at the check out the bag was torn open below the slider. I told the cashier I didn't want it and she asked if I wanted another. I said yes and she handed the turkey to the box girl who left and came back with what I thought was a new one. The next day I went to make a sandwich and saw the turkey bag was placed inside another bag and then sealed. Ugh! I threw my receipt away along with the turkey. Why would the box girl do that. Nobody would want to buy turkey in a ripped bag exposing the meat to peoples hands.

Went to staters today January 10th 2024 my daughter's birthday. I picked out a cake. I asked the short woman with dark brown hair working at the bakery, if she could write Happy Birthday Katie on the cake. Why didn't you write my daughter's name in cursive also, instead of capital block letters? Very disappointed, you're Fired!!

My husband went in today to get a freshly made sandwich for us and they put old, slimy, rotten, lettuce. The people working in the Deli area always have an attitude and seem like they hate their job. Everytime we go in and ask for a freshly made sandwich they point to the premade ones but we are allergic to some of the ingredients in those so we want a freshly made sandwich. It always seems like a huge issue or a big deal.

Most of the staff are very nice and pleasant. However, there is a cashier by the name of Elba who constantly harasses me with dirty looks and is very rude every single time I come through her line and when I am buying 21+ products (alcohol) she is very condescending, rude, and makes it almost completely uncomfortable. Now, I am a frequent enough shopper and each time she does the absolute most, snatches my ID fully from my hand, spends a good 30-40 seconds holding up the line, looking back and forth at me and the ID in the rudest way, asks me how old I am, when I answer (as always) it’s followed by a rude stare. It’s really the most embarrassing experience ever, EVERY SINGLE TIME. While I understand the importance of the ID process this is not a normal case of this and I have never felt as harassed as I did tonight. She questioned me about whether or not I had been drinking in front of a line of people! How absolutely embarrassing. Look, I don’t know what this woman has against me or if she treats others the same but I absolutely don’t understand how you can have employees that make customers feel that uncomfortably. I do the shopping for my family since the are unable and I don’t appreciate being embarrassed like that. I’m 31 years old and have never been consistently treated that way by an employee. It’s ridiculous.

Of this particular store usually has a good selection of fresh produce and Quality Meat. Some of the items are a little overpriced but in general it's about an average overall prices of items however definitely not a discount Market. You can find vegan and gluten-free products here as well as free range grass-fed beef and chicken from local Farm which is very nice since I don't buy commercially processed meat. Their Seafood section is small however typically fresh. The staff are usually helpful and friendly.

Loss prevention needs more training on assault.. you don't as a grown adult attempt to choke out and toss a under age girl to ground because of mistaken identity .. do better loss prevention.

If this is the stater Brothers in Apple valley near Navajo and Bear valley road in Apple valley this is the best stater Brothers I've ever been to..... The music isn't too loud or brashy..... Calm atmosphere helpful people....... A pleasure to shop at !!!!!

Love staters but wish one thing... The staff wouldnt be so rude. They walk in front of you and cut you off as your trying to shop. Really rude when checking out. I was trying to help the checkout lady and she was still rude to me. I was doing her job for her to HELP her. I have injuries from an accident and my arm is in a special sling/brace. Unbelievable. Ps. This same lady is a manager!! So unbelievably rude to CUSTOMERS! Short dark hair. Petite in height.
