Got food to go.
The macho burrito is not for the faint of heart. This thing could feed a small family.

It's a decent place with decent food. No complaints. Service is friendly, attentive and accommodating. Atmosphere is nice, cute and casual. Great place to have lunch.
And it's got all your basics met, can't complain and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

Best Mexican food in town. There is nothing on the menu that isn’t delicious. The Cadillac margaritas and Micheladas are the best. The staff treats you like family and is always friendly.

The place looked like it was closed since there were chairs on top of the tables. But it was open, it must have just opened. We ordered the Chile relleno plates, I added a chicken enchilada. It's a big serving. The Chile was not spicy but it was filled with cheese and the tomato sauce was yummy.

My husband and I love this spot. We always get the same thing, cause we're boring =P but any time I stray from my usual I'm always satisfied. Salsa is the best and their red sauce is off the hook. Try this place if you enjoy your Mexican food and family style service.

We love amys we feel at home when we come. the atmosphere is cozy. The food is delicious and Miss Daisy is adorable. We absolutely this our favorite place nothing better than walking in and getting a sweet greeting from Josh or Daisy or mom us like we are family and we just met them probably four months ago salsa is delicious. The Carne Asada street tacos are to die for my daughter loves the enchiladas. My husband loves the burritos. We go here at least twice to three times a week. They also have burgers that are really good.

Terrible...over 15.00 for a burrito. It was not big, no good. Don't recommend! Stay away! I wish I would of just gone to Del Taco. It actually tastes better and would saved hard earned money! Don't let Amy RIP you Off!

We decided to dine here because of a referral. Service was extremely slow. We witnessed walk-ins received service over people dining in. A family of four walked out that seemed to receive a lack of attention. A family of three arrived, ordered a meal, and enjoyed chips and salsa as they waited. They received their order and left. Upon noticing all the events taking place around us, I told my spouse to change the order to go. He received an apology for the delay, and we dined at home with a glass of wine 🍷. We will return, but only for takeouts.

We just discovered this restaurant a week ago and there food is so good. We've gotten food from them 3 times already. Take out once and dine-in twice. Their customer service was so pleasant. We had Burritos, Carne Asada Fries, Tacos, and Fajitas. Thank you Amy's restaurant, we'll see you soon!!!

This has been Dad’s go-to place for years. He loves their tacos. I love the enchiladas. My husband said he loves the menudo, that’s it’s the best he’s had in the high desert so far. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We love coming here.

We were the only ppl in the restaurant, ordered water because we don't drink soda and the server charged us $12 for 3 fountain drinks we didn't order, then she acted confused & looked to see if we were lying. Check your receipt!

This is hands down the BEST Mexican food and service in all of California!!! We will go no where else since we found Amy’s!! The owner, Maria and her staff do an outstanding job! It’s a lovely family owned business that makes their own salsa and refried beans. You can even buy containers to take home if you like. We go once or twice a week!! Fabulous place! Best Mexican food in the High Desert. They serve large portions, the prices are reasonable, and the servers were very kind and attentive. Y hablan español 🩷
My only critique is that the place itself is kind of run down and dark. But the food was good enough that I will eat here again for sure.

Hands down, best carne asada burrito I’ve ever had and believe me I’ve had my fair share! Also, if you care about getting great service in addition to good food, the woman that runs the place is fantastic. She has customer service down to a science, which is as rare as seeing a unicorn these days. Seriously, best Mexican food restaurant in the HD 😋.

I moved out here to the High Desert for about 1.5yrs now and I have not found a place the pleased my taste for a good Mexican restaurant… effing love this place only live 2 minutes always - new favorite place to go to when I do t feel like cooking and i live alone sooooo I’ll be here all the time hahaha

So I stopped here on a whim. I was putting gas in my car in AV and I looked up local Mexican food spots. Amy's had some good reviews. I stopped in saw chile colorado on the menu which is a favorite of my husband's so I tried it. Service was awesome, I got complimentary chips & salsa with our order but the burrito was not as authentic as I expected. The rice is pretty good though and the verde salsa was 5 star! We might go back to try something different. I did notice a full bar and drink specials so that's a thought also. Location was in a strip mall on Highway 18 so there's that also.

My family and I have been going to Amy’s for years! We love the staff and the food is amazing! We take all of our friends here, especially when they’ve never been and they all love it too!! The wet Chile verde burrito is one of our favorites!

Asked a local of any Mexican places in town. Sent me here. It's a little whole in the wall, ma and pa place. They are so wonderful about checking in on you, to see if you need anything. The chips and salsa are both freshly made. Not oily, delishes salsa. They food is made dresh right when you order it. I got the Chimichanga burrito combo. It was amazing, warm, big. Go in and give tjis place a try.

The food was whatever very bland. Presentation is ok portions are perfect. But lacks taste in every aspect. Bring your own seasonings if you want to eat here. It's my first and last time coming to this place. Oh :FYI MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. THEY PUT A SERVICE CHARGE AUTOMATICALLY ON THE RECEIPT. But that's just my opinion and experience here. So obviously I couldn't reply to your comment Owner of Amy's. First of we all order separately. 2 of all my check had 3 persons in total plus I gave a cash tip. 2 I did complain about my food. 3rd my that I order before the meal came after the meal. So even though we were a big party everyone paid separately. After all that time of not getting my plate replaced. I gave up and called a loss. Not once was I told that my order was being fixed or anything. Was ask about my food and complained. After that not another word was mentioned to me. So I waited to see how long it would take any of your staff to remember. They couldn't even remember my drink. With I also left on the table untouched. I paid because I ordered the food. But regardless of the fact. My whole review is about the taste flavor. And the fact that I was forgotten about. So yeah if I want it a refund i wouldn't of paid. So like I said 1st and last time.

My go to burrito is always a California burrito, my wife having a labor close to the hospital and she was craving some Mexican food. Google then found Amy's. Overall the burrito was good but the only thing is that fries was not that good, but I will be back for more.

Above all else, what makes or breaks a restaurant is the quality of the food. We stopped here to eat while in the area. Since I'm Mexican I'm pretty critical when it comes to mexican food. The food did not disappoint. The portions were good, flavor was outstanding ( I'm not a big bean fan, but these were right on the money as was the rice) table salsa was good, and the place was clean. What I really appreciated is that they brought a small salsa bowl for each person, something you don't regularly see. Usually there is one small bowl everyone needs to share. The chips were warm, nicely seasoned, and crispy. The waitress was not very efficient and was slow to take our order so someone from the kitchen came to help. The lady from the kitchen turned out to be a kind and excellent waitress. Because of the slow waitress I was expecting our food to take forever, but I was gladly wrong. Our food came out in a timely manner. The young man assisting in the dining room was also outstanding. He was very attentive. The margaritas I saw others drinking looking very inviting, but, alas I had to drive and had to pass. I saw a couple order a second round .....darn! Next time. Both my son and husband agreed that they would return to this establishment. My son ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos with french fries. Tasted his fries and they were good and crispy. They came across as homemade since some still had the skin (which I like) and were meatier than most french fries. He gobbled up his tacos and didn't complain so they must have been good. My husband and I had burritos. He had a carne asada and I had carnitas. I had the combo with ranchero sauce. The sauce was green so I think it was a misstep, but I'm not complaining. It was delicious! The carnitas were right on the money. My husband asked for extra spicy salsa on the side since his mexican tradition demanded that everything needs to be super spicy. I don't know from where the sauce originated but it must have been good because my picky husband consumed most of the sauce in the small bowl that was brought out. What impressed me was that it was house made and not some bottle. Boy! He lathered that burrito with that sauce and happily consumed it. It was funny. Will definitely be returning if ever in the area. Gotta try that margarita. If I were to make any suggestions it would be to update the decor.

Lives up to its claim that it's the BEST Mexican Food in the HD. Support a local, family owned business and dine here. Get the Carne Asada Burrito combo....my God I wish I had the recipe for their beans. I could eat them all day with the house chips!

I found this place when I was pregnant looking for some good crunchy tacos. So glad I did! Their crunchy beef and chicken tacos are so delicious!!
Update: They have a special on the tacos every Wednesday so it's a must! And I tried their carne asada fries...so delicious! They smother them in their red sauce and then add the toppings. Best asada fries I've had up here.

Their crispy tacos are just amazing! I mean, all of their food is just great! But we get the crispy tacos about once every two weeks. The servers are also just super nice with great customer service!
The margaritas are top notch too!

A hole in the wall that you will probably miss if you are not aware of it. A family member brought me here for late breakfast and this little authentic place hit the spot for mexican food. We had a variety of plates, from shrimp enchiladas to fish tacos, chile verde plate, Margaritas. All was very good. And the waitress was kind and provided good service to us all, even with four other tables occupied and she being the only one serving. Price was average compared to other locations like this. I would definitely come back here again when i visit.

This place is the worst restraunt Ive ever eaten at,the waitress spilled our drinks all
over us and there was a long hair in my taco,the food was cold and the silverware was dirty,then while we were in the parking lot getting ready to go home I got so sick I started vomiting and sweating ,this place is not right ,eat here at your own risk,.this place is terrible I Don't recommend anyone dining here ever,the service was so poor and there food was awful and tasted old.by far the worst restraunt experience Ive had in the high desert.
