Fine dining, dry aged steaks, amazing craft cocktails and distillery! There is nothing else like us in the High Desert! Our inside dining room is open 11am - 9pm and the courtyard is open 6pm - 11pm, subject to change in accordance with the seasons.
Been here multiple times with family. Last time their lamb was really good. This time I wanted to try their shrimp and got shrimp porridge. My husband still got the lamb and it was under seasoned . Food was mediocre this time , I went there because I had good experience the first time but I don’t know what happened maybe if chef was replaced . So for atmosphere it’s a big restaurant I just love that and their service is good. Food can definitely get better

My family and I went to Towns End for a late lunch/early dinner. This restaurant did not disappoint. Whoever designed this restaurant did a great job! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was beautiful and inviting. The staff was great and accommodating. The food was good, a little pricy, but good. My son-in-law ordered the Turf and Surf (steak and lobster). The steak was cooked perfectly, and the lobster was tender. My daughter and I had the cheechburger and fries, and my little grandsons had the grilled cheese and fries. We didn't have any cocktails but did look at the menu. They have a huge selection of beer and a decent selection of wine. They had a good variety of handmade cocktails that sounded oretty yummy! This is a great place for date night or a night out with friends. They have a good size bar and can order food from the bar! They do offer outdoor seating, which looked really nice. They have a good size parking lot in the back. I would highly recommend this place!

Great in door and outdoor bar, outdoor seating, live music on the weekends. Only closed Mondays and open every other day of the week. Come for the craft drinks and lively atmosphere. And leave with a bottle of house brewed vodka, whiskey or bourbon..you won't regret it. Check the full review @itsamandachamberlain

Really cool place! We've eaten here several times and it's been consistently good, the burgers are really good and the mixed drinks are awesome. I don't normally do mixed drinks, I'm mostly a beer kinda guy but looking at the drink menu got me hooked and I had to try a couple of these. The watermelon margarita was awesome and the smoked pineapple bourbon sour was excellent too. My only complaint is that they could've been bigger! I'm sure they were normal size, but they were so good that they went down pretty quickly. The BBQ Monday night special was pretty good, though the beef portion was kinda dry but the ribs were great. All the other times we ate here I had the burgers and I've got zero complaints there, they were really great. Looking forward to returning, and definitely recommend.

easy parking in the back and then you walk through this very cool patio space that was quiet during the day but we heard gets busy at night. The restaurant had no line and they took our drink order right away. The cocktails were fun and tasty. Food was very good. Decor is vintage and special. En route to restrooms you can view the meats being dry aged and a locked whisky cellar with some rare finds. Definitely a hip spot.

Where to start! I will say that this one is a hard review for me because from the moment you park your car at this establishment, you get the feeling that you're gonna love everything about it. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Starting with the positive; the place is very inviting, the set up, the motif, the environment just makes one feel welcomed and in a good mood. It has a huge outdoors area where one can eat, drink, and enjoy some live music. Then there is the indoor portion which is just as cool as the outside but they just play music over the speakers which is good for me. Then you get the menus. There are 2 menus, one for drinks and one for food. The prices are like from a restaurant in Orange County, ASTRONOMICAL!!! But then I thought to myself; Maybe the food is soooooo delicious and fresh that it's worth it. Not really! The food was okay. I did order a burger which was pretty good but I'm sorry, I've done better for much less. $22.00 for that burger was just a bit much. Our server was nice but we kept having to ask for things that no one at a restaurant should have to ask for. Especially a restaurant that is so expensive. We didn't get silverware, there was no ketchup, no salt, no pepper, no sauces or anything like that. And to top it off no napkins. Again, for the prices they charge things should be navigated a lot better than they are.
I'll end with the fact that I'm a second chances kind of person. So I'll probably come back sometime in the future, but I sure hope they change their pricing a bit. Also, they offer a variety of whiskeys and Old Fashioned drinks. But they have no cigar smoking section. Word to the wise, Old Fashioned and cigars are like biscuits and gravy. You can have them separately, but when you put them together, the heavens open up!
We'll see what happens the second time around.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon with the wife for drinks and dinner. The parking is fully lit and looks safe from roaming local zombies.
Upon entering you pass by the outdoor seating which looks great with plenty of space heaters.
The entry looks cool with repurposed theater seats for the waiting area and an old space heater that adds a old school touch. We were seated on the back wall that is elevated from the floor which has a great view of the bar and layout.
So when asked about drinks I jumped right in with the smoked Old Fashioned. What a great choice that was. So as I started reviewing the menu I noticed that there is French influence on the cuisine here. Is there a French/European community here that I am not aware of? Creme Brulee, Poutine, French onion soup.
Definitely interesting.
So I ordered the Desert heat burger, sub french onion soup and sub onion rings since this is all made in house.
And of course the wedge salad.
So, the onion soup was done very well and was a great surprise having that on the menu since it's very uncommon. Well done.
Onion rings were a complete flop. And I mean total flop. Just sad.
The burger was absolutely delicious, ordered medium, arrived medium. It had a little heat, not super spicy. Maybe I will order again and see if they can get my burger To Death Valley levels.
For something so simple, I will have to say that the wedge salad was probably the star of the show. But not gonna ask how they rinse the half head of lettuce without introducing much water and falling apart.
And for dessert of course we ordered the creme brulee. I might have detected citrus notes. Not sure if it was vanilla bean flavored, good brulee crust when it arrived. It was aight.
The service was excellent and they were on it.
Very clean.
Somewhat odd menu offerings .
So all in all, I will say that we will return and try out some other dishes and Old Fashioned 's.
Maybe a steak? Who knows, but what I do know is I will definitely stay away from the onion rings.

So it's obvious a ton of money was spent on this place, super cool atmosphere if it wasn't in such a run down and hideous part of town. Why not put it on Apple Valley rd??? Now onto the food. Not good at all, super salty and not any care taken. The French onion soup was so horrible. The made the saltiest broth and threw some bread and a clump of cheese, not baked like it sould be. It was served like warm! Eeewww. We got the chicken sandwich and barbecue sandwich. Just very low average ans way overpriced. I will say the onion rings were good. But please do not waste your time unless you're just getting a drink. I can't stress how poor the food is for the price.

I work in the restaurant industry and I can understand that restaurants get busy and you have to wait, however we got seated and no one took drink orders for 30 mins. We then ordered our food after being seated for an hour, got our food two and a half hours after that. Onion rings were not hot and the steak was actually good. Except one steak was overcooked. The host was incredibly rude and practically ran our toddler over trying to get by. Also our waitress was aggressively slamming down our food items on the table. Really disappointed after hearing great reviews.

Had the AVO Burger, medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and is definitely the juiciest burger I've had in the high desert. The bun is so soft and delicious, the onions so thinly sliced and perfect amount. Get the salad instead of fries, really fresh and lots of veggies and croutons. Each table has a pepper and salt grinder, too. I loved every bite.

I have to give this place one star for the terrible food and customer service. Our group of 4 showed up on a Saturday evening and sat outside for the live music. The music was lovely but that was the only positive experiences about this place. This place looked understaffed because I only saw our server, Kristi, and a male server were the only ones working the tables outside. First of all, our server brought everyone’s drinks and forgot mine. She asks me what did I order again and later on brings it to me with our appetizers. When we placed our order, I ordered the Desert Heat burger. I clearly saw on the menu that this burger came with Serrano aioli and habanero jam. Our server brings us our food and my burger was already cold. The meat tasted dry, overall bland, and no spice at all. I then noticed that the burger didn’t even have the aioli nor the jam. I told our server and she takes it back so they could remake it. Time goes by and my group of friends were already finishing up with their meal while I still did not receive my food. Our server walks by and notices I don’t have food so she goes back to check. I didn’t see her again and when more time passes by my group already finished up with their meal so it was time to leave. I already lost my appetite so I told Kristi I didn’t want the burger anymore and she took it off our bill. Food is way overpriced and tasted bland, not to mention the terrible customer service so I don’t recommend this place at all. But I don’t necessarily blame our server because she was still being polite and trying her best. I mostly blame this restaurant’s bad management for leaving their employees understaffed.

This was me and my bf second time giving this place a try.
1. The ambiance is very cool
2. Our waitress was amazing and very sweet.
3. The drinks are actually good and (we didn’t wait very long for them)
…..but the food is down right not good!
He ordered the tri tip sandwich and fries and it was very tasteless! Fries had were not salted, the tri itself was dry and they put more other ingredients when the meat should be the star.
I ordered the ahi tuna salad and it was not good. The dressing was tasteless as well just no Asian flavor (very greasy) and the tuna itself was cut very sloppy and rigid. Not like anything I’ve seen before.
We are locals here in AV and was very excited to have TE but sorry to say we won’t be returning for a third time.

If I Could Give This Place A 2.5 Stars I Would Absolutely Do It Real Quick. I Went To This Place Back In The Middle Of May For A Birthday And This Place Is Overrated, It's Just For The Ambiance Of The Old Timie Whiskey Making Factory. Don't Get Me Wrong, There Whiskey And Bourbon Were Spot On But The Food Was Completely Unflavored And Unappetizing, Except The Steaks. Service Was A Bit Lower To Decent Quality. Servers Were All Over The Place And Always In A Rush Even On A Semi Busy Day.
Careful About This One, For Me, It's Just For A Hangout Bar Spot For Drinks And Beer. Also, The Whiskey And Different Spirits.

My brothers burger was over well, and had 1 dab of barbecue wich is outrageous because it was the barbecue burger. Our server Hayley did the best she could under the circumstances. They had ran out of chicken strips, shrimp and onion rings. We will be going back, but probably not for a bit. Also they had to stop seating people because they messed up so bad. Still love this place.

If you want to wait 2 hours for your food then this is the place for you! Made a reservation for my hubby on Father’s Day. Looking forward to the band and the cigar event. We
Subsequently sat down and ordered and waited for our food for over two hours. We were told that they were out of Tabasco, bacon bits, and onion rings. How does a restaurant not order supplies correctly? I’ve been in the food service industry long enough to know how these things work. We finally get our food and the burger is completely dried out. So completely disappointed. Was looking forward to tonight and was an absolute disaster. I love to support local businesses but I’m not going to be coming back.

Its just not getting better. When you order a cocktail outside, unless it's wine or an old fashion, you get a plastic cup. Unacceptable, since you're paying top dollar for cocktails. Brussels sprouts were not cooked, very hard. I sent them back. Ordered surf and turf. Lobster was small but cooked well. Steak was overcooked. I order medium rare and got medium to medium well. I sent it back. Then it comes back rare. Ugh. I sent it back again. My third attempt was close enough. There was no spice to the steak. Hostess didn't know what time band started or what type of music they played. On a positive note, the wine was very good.

I visited this restaurant over a year ago, and my experience then was fine. But this time around, I was disappointed. I appreciate that they are trying to bring some Boujee to the high desert. This place itself physically looks the part but their food and service miss the mark. The steaks are not worth and do not taste their price. I've been to other steakhouses with similar price points and Town's End's steaks do not come close to quality of taste. We also ordered the ahi poke appetizer, which was good but not the best. It was hard to pick up the ahi and cucumber with the few chips that came with it, and the ahi was overpowered with the cucumbers and sauce. The Mac and Cheese had a very strong horseradish taste, so beware if you aren't a fan of horseradish.
As for service, our server was quite timid. She might've been new at her job but it made the experience awkward. We also didn't get silverware when we sat down and had to wait a while since our server was MIA for a bit. When the food came out, they switched up my fillet (I ordered medium) with the fillet from another table (which was well done) and I had to send it back and wait for a new fillet.
Overall the experience and food quality didn't live up to the price point.

Worst anniversary celebration dinner ever! Still House was a disappointment! As a High Desert resident who appreciates the opportunity for a fine dining experience, it is with great regret that I share my, and my wife's experience here on our anniversary. Our only compliment goes out to Shawna, the server, whom, we believe did everything in her power to meet, or exceed, our expectations. Sadly, she could not control all of what we experienced. Here is the short summary: 1. No aged ribeye (of any duration)available, at first we were told that there was...but no. 2. No filet mignon available. 3. My wife's mojito was very small. 4. I sent back two dirty martinis, which I have never done at any bar or restaurant before. The first one was a cloudy opaque white color that tasted like coconut water! The second had no olive juice and was room temperature , clearly not shaken with ice. The bartender came to the table to lecture me about how the drink, that I have enjoyed for 40 years, has been made incorrectly by everyone else on the planet. And that her's was actually the correct way to make it. Hmmmm. Totally unprofessional and inappropriate, however, somewhat humorous as a senior citizen and medical professional to be spoken to like that by a very young female bartender (in training?). 5. A salad was delivered to my wife but no silverware was provided until we asked twice, twenty minutes to receive. We finally left before our entrees were delivered after waiting for over an hour....I don't think we will be back. However, I do welcome the opportunity to discuss this with the owner/manager. We would have spent well over $100, probably closer to $200 if we had been served the menu items that we wanted.

Not the case.... I ended up staying up all night from a horrible stomach ache, that still has not gone away the next morning.. The place was beautiful, but the experience was not.... We will not be returning

Went on a Saturday evening, got there about 4pm or so. Got seated pretty quickly, had the 1lb top sirloin loaded baked potato and a house salad with a highball to drink, was in a party of 3. Got food within a half hour or so. Had a band playing that night which was quite nice. Food was very good, service was quite excellent to be honest, I think we spent about 60-80 dollars per person. But that was a steak, side item and salad with alcoholic drink drink per person which is honestly very reasonable with the economy the way it is. But the best part honestly was the fact that one of the owners was there that night going around and asking how everything was that night. He was a very nice gentleman, especially because when we asked him if we could have a tour of the on-site brewery for their hard spirits he was quite happy to let us take a look. Im honestly looking forward to going back there again quite soon. The atmosphere was nice, their entire decorative theme/motif/ atmosphere was very enjoyable, I liked the way it looked. It was my first time there, my sister has been there a couple of times and suggested it. She says that every time she goes there she finds something new to see in the design, im quite looking forward to experiencing that for myself. If you find yourself nearby with an hour or two to spend for lunch. I STRONGLY suggest you stop by for lunch or dinner, it was a very enjoyable experience.

The worst dining experience ever. Sat 45 minutes waiting for food, when it arrived, onion rings cold, sandwich cold and the only thing the waitress could say was the cooks. This at a premium place with premium prices. Would never give this place second chance.

The waitress could see the excitement on my lap when I saw my tomahawk steak cooked to perfection and I ate to climax

Like all Brew Houses it has to be seen. The walls are wood planks w/iron work done by the local high school.

We went to Townsend in Apple Valley, on Hwy 18, just off Pawnee. They distill vodka & whisky for now, but next year, they will be distilling their own beer as well.
They have a huge BBQ meat smoker, so on Mondays, the daily special is Ribs, but during the week, they serve smoked Carne Asada, pork carnitas tacos, taquitos, & all the rest of the Mexican cuisine. Delicious vegan Mexican food such as potato taquitos are served as well.
The bar is highballing out of control. You can Dine-in or mix & mingle on the decked-out patio. Prices may be a little steep, but the atmosphere is most definitely worth it.
Lastly, they have a tasteful gift shop, so you can enjoy those bottled distilled spirits at home as well.

Very nice place BUT the food was horrible. Not good at all, especially for the price. The onion rings were burnt and my chicken was dry and bland. The tri-tip sandwich was dry.

Had a great experience last night. I didn't have a reservation on Saturday night but we were seated within 10 minutes, the food was great and our server Allie couldn't have done a better job. The experience was so good it was almost strange, we felt like VIP's!

Had a great time, food was excellent. Had a singer in there that I swear Jonny cash jumped down in soul. Needless to say he was amazing. What an experience couldn't have asked for a more perfect dinner.

The camp fire old fashion was way too sweet for my liking. I ordered the tri tip sandwich, which was flavorless. Expensive sandwich with no flavor is depressing. The cheese curds and fries I ordered were good. The service really lacks. I went 1-13-2024, and the time frame was approximately from 3-5pm. The waitress lacks customer service, attentiveness, attitude, etc. the ambience in the area was calm, so I didn’t mind that. As for mandatory 25% tip, it would have been great to know that up front. Then I figured, that was the reason the service was crud, because regardless, the waitress was going to get a nice tip. I will not be returning, and advising others of this experience.

We entered through the beer garden. The place is really got an 1800's kinda design with plenty of room for a good time. Upon entering the restaurant, the decor continued. Really cool looking. We pulled out our steel chairs which were heavy but comfortable and Sat down.. We ordered steak and appetizer. The items were ala carte and a little pricey. However, did not disappoint, steak was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. Side orders and appetizer was huge and very delicious. Drinks are mixed well and very good. We went back 3 days later and brought friends. Nobody was disappointed. Very good and well worth the price.

Our waitress was also the bartender and very nice but we next got a 2nd drink until we were eating main course. The food was amazong.and everyone was sweet. My BF noticed manager/bartender went on a break so our server took over the bar and all the drinks for the entire restaurant 🙃.

It's not a place for kids. This is a very nice, comfortable dining experience with a great atmosphere. If you're looking to have a date night leave the kids with a sitter and enjoy.

Came with a group of people. Terrible. I ordered a steak and it was extremely small. I could probably eat the whole thing in 2 bites. It was $40 with no sides included. Not to mention it was cold. Other guy said his food was cold as well. Service was even worse. I will NEVER go back there again.

First off, they were out of everything when we arrived at 4 pm on a Friday, including the Friday special of fish & chips. How are you sold out of the Special at 4 o'clock? They were out of other items as well.
I ordered the gourmet grilled cheese, which was brought to me charred (parmesan was black on the outside). I already had to return a cocktail that was prepared unlike all the rest of the same drinks at my table of 10, so I decided to just eat it & never dine here again.
FYI: The Tomato Bisque is less creamy & more chunky like a marinara. It wasn't nasty, just not what I was expecting.
Waitress was good.
Overall, I expected much more from a restaurant of this caliber. We drove all the way from Barstow. I won't make that mistake again.

Went at 4pm on Thursday. Ate indoors not close to the bar. The music was really loud. Order a watermelon margarita. It was small for the price and lot of ice. Not much flavor. I ordered the half a chicken it was really dry, lifting up the chicken was a hot mess of asparagus and gummy mash potatoes. My husband order other things and our guests. Not happy

Walking in, the decor and atmosphere were a great start, but that is where it ended.
Several items our party tried to order were not available, including rootbeer and lemonade. When the food arrived, the steak was overcooked, no melted butter was served with the lobstertail, and the baked potato missed half its trimmings. The burger tasted no different to a fast-food joint. For dessert, two of the items we wanted to order were again unavailable. We finally managed to order bread pudding, which was pretty good.

Unfortunately, the experience was not as great as expected. Overpriced steaks while everything else seems reasonably prices,
Service was not the best experience (waitresswas really busy), mainly due to the large tables they had to deal with at the same time.
2 Steaks came overcooked, baked potatoes arrived when everyone was done eating the steaks except one that was still waiting for his own NY strip....
However the overcooked steak and the late backed potatoes were removed from the check by the manager.
The place itself is great, good decoration. I am sure it's great to enjoy the patio when the temperature is adequate.
So, experience was bad this time for a group of 7 but I will give them another chance ...

I've been coming to the restaurant since they opened last year.
I enjoy the architecture and the high end build but I've noticed that the food quality has gone down hill.
My guest and I ordered the New York strip steaks and they were uneatable. We sent them back and told the waitress not to replace it.
Very disappointed, Not Going Back

My wife and I went to Towns End for a date night. We made it there for happy hour. The items on the Happy hour menu were decently priced and the food was excellent. It was obvious that the mixed drinks were what people were having. We opted for a beer and a glass of wine. I can't wait to show this restaurant off to my family. One of the best places in the High Desert!

Love the atmosphere of this place and will keep giving it a try periodically. I’ve been here 4 times to eat and really wish there was a menu for special dietary needs. Waiters have not been helpful regarding this either. I have a gluten allergy and was served something with gluten although I did disclose. Not sure what it was as I ordered steak and Brussels sprouts. Rooting for a change here would love to recommend and enjoy more often

Delicious! I don't normally go to breweries but I did not expect much from the food- I was blown away by how delicious the burgers are! The drinks perfectly compliment the food as well. Dining inside, they have a beautiful tavern theme with many adorning lights. They also have live shows every week, host events outside and give brewery tours.

Date night outing, the food was delicious. I had the rack of lamb asked for medium was closer to well done, still very good. Hubby had the steak cooked more to a medium vs. the med/rare as requested. Having said all that the dinner dishes are Ala cart, meaning you have to get your sides at an additional cost. For the cost of dinner the sides should be included plus an offering of bread while you wait. We will not return but will go to places just as delicious if not better. One is in near by Big Bear.
