They have my business for life. Great prices for those of us who watch our spending. Come see for yourself. Sure, it's not all pretty and polished like other grocery stores, but this company puts its effort into passing us good prices. That means a lot to me, my family, and our high desert community.

There's a good selection of fresh produce, and meats. I can not speak on frozen foods, soda, and bread because I don't buy those products very often.

I am a big fan on the bulk foods. They have dried Goji berries, raw unsalted sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds! 🤣💙

This is a big WinCo but their prices seem to be a little more than the one down the road in Victorville. The area is a really nice area but a majority of the people are super smug. The employees are nice enough and they have a security guard for the parking lot. The place seems super organized and has a good selection of items for most WinCo's, it's super big. Other than the prices, it's super nice. Much different demographic than the VV one.

What can I say about WinCo it's open 24 hours a day the people there are awesome the food prices are awesome. They have nice fresh produce a big wide selection of all kinds of stuff and who doesn't like to go shopping at 2:00 in the morning I know I do. And it's WinCo is way better than the other WinCo on Roy Rogers which can have some shady characters but the one in Apple valley is very nice.

Great place for all your shopping needs. The employees are friendly and very helpful. Pizza Shop is so well run and the pizzas are fresh and delicious. Hard working individuals make a great Pizza Pie for the value!

Love shopping there. Especially in the middle of the night, when there's really no other costumers there. The only thing they truly need to get together at that store. When, there is more than ten people in one line and only two registers open. Use common sense and open all the registers. They definitely have more than enough workers to do so.

There is something certainly not right with some of the folks this store is hiring! On quite a few occasions I have been left standing waiting on customer service at the deli/ hot foods section while the workers behind the counter take their time approaching me to ask if I need any help they just look as if you are standing there to watch them as they work. My worst experience came on Monday 8/12/24 when the employee name Jack was so rude that I had to summons the deli manager as well as the store manager! This is our neighborhood store in Jess Ranch but I'm beginning to think only certain customers are given good customer service. Stater Bros may get my business if things don't change at this location!

They won't take back the frozen limp salad that some tweeker put together in deli. Whom said they where sick and now I believe him.Don't buy anything perishable they won't take it back. Altough, I have returned sour cream (which was frozen). Isn't that perishable? Am unable to get things at 9 pm, as aisles are closed off. I thought this store is 24 hours. Also, the quality of people they are hiring is ridiculous. THESE PEOPLE ARE WORKING WITH OUR FOOD!

I frequently go here for fresh produce. A good variety of fruits and vegetables brings me back again and again. I haven't had a problem with poultry, cheeses, red meat, frozen foods.

Although prices have gone up , this is still the best bang for your buck. Always check dates on specialty items , as they are only human, and might miss an exp. date. Service is always great once store is running.

What is a Walmart!

1st time going to WinCo. Won't be going to Walmart again, unless it's out of necessity. Barstow's Walmarts selection is always poor quality and disappointing. WinCo's prices are usually a bit cheaper and the quality is noticeably better. My family and I don't mind the extra 30 min drive to go here.

Good budget grocery store. Credit cards not accepted. Debit and cash ok.

When I was in my health kick checking labels on products, they weren't as healthy. The store is comparable and cheaper than food4less though. Fruit and whole foods are very competitively priced though.

Sucked..your managers are rude...they run up abf down iske s8cking and eating on the floor ignoring customer request...i stood for 5 minutes about 10 feet away from 2 of thise o believe are managers as the feed the faces and ignored me! When finally i started to jump and wave my arms for some sort of attention...the female stuck with her straw in her mouth and looked at me like what what steadily suckingl on her drink. Talking to the other i suppose manager....this is totally unacceptable behavior for managers...i question them about some froz0en food that was totally melted down to water....they said to me...oh thats because it is defrosting...well frozen foods should not melt down to water content then sent back to freezing again! the foods would cause contamination to freeze again...
I did my best to explain to the 2 individuals this is unacceptable...and walked away due to there lack of knowledge and food temperatures...and making up things as they did.....
I suggested that the frozen food is no longer good as i have worked in every aspects of the food industry....
My knowledge dates back to 51 years...so a i walked away in order to have no confrontation about thier so calked protocal they lied about...i in fact i was trying to help them. I found a great spot where they could possibly put the damaged frozen food...all the while the man manager wanted to fight it its our protocal..to leave frozeb foid at 37 degrees i inducsted no frozrm food can be left at 37 when the state rule frozen means 0 to 7 degrees...he tryed to fight it and he is causing your company to contaminate our Public...the foid industry is crucial to any manager because a store can be shut down immediately if your personal is not trained properly....i say this all to say...if you care anything about the Public you would refrain from hiring indivuals who are not trained properly....so therefore the burden lies on top of the owners of each establishment that chooses to not to train employees properly...

I want to say that we did some late night shopping and the freight crew were working so hard. Yet with all the hustle and bustle, they still managed to be extremely considerate and helpful. When I looked a little lost, they stopped and asked if I needed help and then guided me to where the product was. They are the true superstars of this store!!! Definite kudos to the freight crew!!!

So disappointed with the self-checkout service.
I understand their policies, I have a little over 15 products, but nobody was at the self-checkouts, and the lady was rude. There were just 3 cash registers open and they were super full. Seriously, at least open more cash registers.

I've been to several different Winco's and the Apple Valley outlet is my favorite. Workers/associates are very personable and not sarcastic and the aisles are clean (there is always someone cleaning and restocking). But my main reason for going is the selections of items per price. Meaning they carry some items that other stores will not, and the prices are based on that. 4/16/24 today's visit still reaffirmed my opinion of this store.

I almost exclusively do all my grocery shopping here I love their bulk section and affordable pricing I recommend this store to anyone struggling with high prices these days. Side note you should definitely try the deli pizza it is delicious.

Added 3/07/2024: WinCo has expanded their canned food items that are hazardous to our health under the brand label, "Festival," specifically canned corn with CA Prop 65 warning. See pic.
Added 11/2023: Bad enough WinCo stocks other food brands that are hazardous to our health, but under their own WinCo label is outrageous! See pic & check out the warning label on their canned mandarin oranges.
Added 8/2023: I found WinCo stocking canned fruit from China, under the brand of "Festival." It warns, "Consuming this product can expose you to lead, cadmium & arsenic..." and includes the CA Prop 65 warning. I brought this to the attention of local management over a month ago - it's still on the shelves. UNETHICAL - for an Employee Owned Company!
Previous post: WinCo is good for purchasing name brand products for less. I won't purchase beef as it's often NOT graded at ALL, let alone USDA Choice! I won't purchase fresh seafood/fish as more often than not, it smells! Which means it ISN'T fresh! You have to carefully check their produce. I have found they stock product that's already spoiling, which means there's a problem with their supply chain. I also find they don't rotate their stock, so expiration dates are all over the place. Generally speaking it spoils quicker than from better stores. My guess, like all discount stores, they purchase their stock from lower quality sources; overruns / over produced items, etc.
