Great little dive bar. The band played classic rock. People made room to dance, and the patrons were friendly. Bob was behind the bar. As busy as he was, the wait wasn't too long at all.

One bartender who is super nice but slow. If he had help they could be making more money. The band was fun, they played a lot of favorites. The place got pretty crowded but a real nice diverse group of people. Great dive bar!

Now this is the best dive bar in SGV!! I went to see Pat O'brien and the Love Priests (Sat 9pm) and those old dudes could ROCK for sure! I came here 4 years ago looking for jazz music and that was when I went to another venue on the same street but wasn't satisfied, so I heard more music once I walked down. One point I was afraid for those old guys might not survive the Covid, but They Are Back for good!🤩👍
The bartenders are all very friendly with good pours and the price is good. They don't do fancy beers and they don't have beer taps, so just bottles and regular red and white wines. But I want to say I saw all sorts of age groups came here everytime so that is always a good sign. That being said, you will have a good time over there, too.

Small hole in the wall that has been there FOREvER! If you love Dive bars, this is it! Robert (the bartender) is such a sweetheart! There is usually only 1 staff working because it's a small spot. Not only are the staff great, even the regulars that are customers there are great! They are all friendly and welcome you with open arms!

Bob is the best! We always have a wonderful time here. Great live band on Saturday nights, definitely is one of our favorite spots for drinks and a good time.

Great place to hang out and listen to some live music. The band is great. Also the bartender is one hell of a guy Mr Bob does a great job with getting you your drinks. If you don't have anything to do on Friday Saturday night go down here and check it out you won't be sorry

Small hole in the wall that has been there FOREvER! If you love Dive bars, this is it! Robert (the bartender) is such a sweetheart! There is usually only 1 staff working because its a small spot. Parking: Small parking in the back but more parking next door and in the front there is street parking as well. Wheelchair accessibility: You have wheelchair access wide door access through the back door/parking. I believe there is one step through the front door and a bit narrow.

This is a dive bar, no getting around that. For years, it has had younger, (arguably)hipper bars and dance clubs next door but those places always close down and First Cabin stays open. Its success has a variety of ingredients, here are the two that Im most familiar with: 1. Bob at the Helm. The bartender who years ago cut off what could have been an award winning mullet serves up great cocktails. Ive never gotten a bad drink at the first cabin, and Ive never paid more than $5 for one. 2. Pat OBrien and the Priests of Love. This dive bar band plays blues and classic rock, often better than the band theyre covering. Pat OBrien appears like a vampire, mainly because hes porcelain white, not an ounce of body fat, and drinks protein shakes between sets. But appearances aside, you will be rocked by this man, do not doubt it. Every break he takes, he commands you, ...priests of love gonna take a break. get a drink, catch up on your conversation. make sure you know what day of the week it is though, hes only there Friday and Saturday. I have seen a variety of craziness occur at this bar but usually peaceful chaos. ive been going here for 20+ years, and ive never seen a fight. If youre under 30, expect to be the youngest person in the bar.

Such a great tavern! Walked in not knowing what to expect (no windows ). But we walked in and bellyed up to bar! Greeted with a hearty hello and a handshake from Bob, we were in the right place!! Inexpensive beer was an obvious plus and then the band of old timers started belting classic rock! So good! This place is only 100ft +- and 15ft wide, so its cozy and dimmly lit! Perfect! The bathrooms were new looking and clean. The other patrons, obvious usuals and newbies like ourselves all looked to be very comfortable and enjoying the night! Definitely a must in Arcadia, and an easy 1 stop pub crawl! Thanks First Cabin and Bob...see yall again soon! Cheers!

First cabin bar has an awesome bartender. Quick, efficient and friendly. It does get crowded particularly when bands play but theres extra seating outside in the parking lot.

Decided to drop in the cabin couple weeks ago on a Saturday. I parked in the back & could hear a band playing. Btw, parking was not a problem.Walked in, sat down & enjoyed the band vibe. Was like forever to order a drink. After 10 -12 min a heavy older guy with square glasses took my order Ordered a 12oz bottle of Budweiser. He returned & $6.00 was the fee, add $2.00 tip & total is $8.00 YIKES! We tryna make up loss Corona Virus revenue on one customer. I ve never paid over $4.50 for a beer & bought many Modelo at $4.50. I bounced after the first beer, 3 more and $32 on 4 beers just seemed wrong. Haha! Knockouts doesn t charge that much. I won t be returning unless they adjust prices & the bartenders attitude, forgot to mention he s not friendly. For now I ll continue visiting Knockouts & The Station. Don t waste your time or money here.

Heard the band from outside and had to check it out, best decision! They have a live band that plays rock n roll and blues Fri and Sat. The bartender is an older gentleman with the perfect bartender attitude. Not to many bars like this left, will definitely be coming back.

Fking LOVE the Cabin. Bobby is one of my favorite bartenders of all time. And, Pat OBrien & The Priests of Love (who play every Thurs, Fri & Satrdy) are unbelievably amazing. Come w a few extra $5 bills for a cash request & theyll amaze you with, not only their own 8 albums worth of songs, but also covers on Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrixy... Many more. &Pat plays it beautifully. If ya like dive bars &/or like great live music, check this spot out.

Randomly stopped in to kill some time with a cocktail. Decent prices, friendly staff. Crowd is a little wonky/older so if youre looking for a club environment this isnt the spot for you. But if youre lookin for a dark place to have a cocktail and chill in the corner youll be right at home.
