Food and service were good. Prices were high. I got 2 eggs with hash browns and a coffee, no meat, the bill came to $19.50. Then there was a $2.00 surcharge added to use a debit card, which was not advertised until you got to the register to pay. Bill was 21.50 for two eggs, hash browns, and coffee. At a diner. I won’t go back.

Old school diner with really friendly staff, and massive pieces of pie!
We ordered breakfast that came out within 10 minutes. We had bottomless coffee and beautiful, massive, delicious coconut cream pie. It was made from scratch that morning. I knew I should have bought the whole pie 😞 I’ve been dreaming of it ever since.

The breakfast here is awesome. It's hard to find a place that makes a good corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy. Chef's coffee shop does a great job with both. Their pancakes are decent.
Staff is friendly and the regulars who inhabit the diner in the afternoon give the place a grandparent's house atmosphere.
I would definitely prefer this place over Dennys.

Cute place. The pictures I'd seen didn't do it justice. The food was good. My tuna melt was unlike anywhere else I've had it. It was like a tuna salad melt which was interestingly tasty. The service was good. The server wasn't particularly friendly but she did her job promptly and efficiently. Would definitely come back.

An average dinner, friendly service with down home cooking. I ordered the Texas Omelette, and it would have been very good, but there were egg shells all over the thing haha! Decent cup of coffee that won't ever be half empty.

Note they do take credit cards, but as of March 1st, they charge a .50 fee.

Parking is limited, so good luck!

This is my new favorite coffee shop.

They have the best hasbrowns I've had in awhile.

It's very busy and there was a steady flow of people. A annoying woman sat across from me and had a whole conversation on her phone with the speaker on. So I moved. I wonder about people sometimes.

The decor is super cute. I hope they never change it. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is a flowing!

My only real beef (except for the woman on the phone) is that they close at 2pm! This would be a perfect late night stop for me to have a good read, catch up with an old friend or a late night game of perquakey!

The service was great, the food was okay. The toast, bacon and waffles were delicious! Can't say the same about the coffee, burrito & omelet. I would definitely come back though to try other items though. They definitely have old fashioned taste to the food which is great!

The best lil small town diner! I love Michelle, her family, and the other staff. I suggest the cheese potatoe scramble with potatoes o'brien. Let's not forget the coffee is delicious!

Family run restaurant done the right way. Very popular with all ages. Food is cooked to perfection and large portions. The downside is if you want to use a card they're going to charge $2.00 extra.

This is truly an old school diner. Grest food,food, service. Reminds us of neighborhood diners from back east. Will definitely be the one place to visit when we are back in the area

Was in the mood for a basic comfort-food breakfast. That's exactly what I found here. The high points: really tasty link sausages,eggs done perfectly. Sounds easy enough, but it's not easy to find.

I have been living in El Monte for years but it recently took my friend that I've known since 2002 to actually take me to try it. She has been going there with her family longer. Its Family Friendly owned Awsome Service and the Greatest Diner Food you would Ever taste. I Highly recommend it it.

DO NOT COME TO THIS DISGUSTING PLACE.
My coffee cup had lip stick on it and when I brought it up to the waitress attention, she didn't even apologize, my toast was burned, and they used canned mushrooms on your omelet.
I asked to talk to a manager and the cashier was rude about it and said that they didn't have a manager on site.
This place smells old and the restrooms are disgusting.

This is my new favorite coffee shop.

Toast was not fully toasted when I mentioned something to the waitress kind of older on the heavy side along with the coffee being warm she had a very bad attitude. Very aggressive and disrespectful not to mention the place is really dirty. I recommend that no one go there

Food was very good here. The pancakes were good not great, but the portions were great!! Now I will say this place is really expensive for a diner. With corned beef hash, pancakes and a small orange juice I payed $25. Pretty outrageous for breakfast. I'd come back if they didn't charge almost $6 for orange juice. I could literally buy a whole gallon for less.

Our Son's Fiancee brought us to this little gem in the wall breakfast diner. They also serve Lunch, and offer dessert. Thee Atmosphere was settled, easy , calm, and enjoying . The food was perfectly seasoned and brought to us hot and in a timely manner. Staff was welcomey. Turns out the young lady who seated us went to High school with my future Daughter -in-Law. Sadly they close at 2pm? Would've liked to try their dinners? I will and do Co-sign for this fantastic comfort food place that is worth spending the time and money. So worth it. I have driven past this place multiple times when I drove the Metro bus. One particular morning my son and were going out for breakfast and I just happened to be driving by Chef's Coffee Shop so I decided to try it out. My son wasn't that hungry so all he had was wheat toast with butter. I had the sirloin steak with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy. The food was cooked to perfection, my steak was tender and my eggs were scrambled soft just like I ordered them. I'll definitely be coming back to this place even though it's a little dated and the bench seat sunk in a little and it was hard. But don't let that stop you have checking it out. Bon appetit!

Went there for breakfast and ordered the 1/2 french toast plate #3. The French toast was really good. The only negative thing I can think of was the menu should point out that 1/2 portion is actually 2 slices. To me, that seemed like a whole portion. Needless to say, I couldn't finish it. The food did come quickly even though the place was busy.

My boyfriend and I ate a grilled cheese, tuna sandwich and fries. I also had a side salad. Great service!! Wonderful people working here and the food is amazing. I’ve lived in Arcadia for over a decade, and this restraint has always been terrific. I’m visiting from Arizona, and this was the first stop. The waitress is a sweetheart!!

Food was mediocre at best. If you are not a regular they don't tend to you like the others that were coming in after us. Iam sure they have earnedbthat status this was our first time there won't be coming back. There was a nice welcome from the waitress then disappeared . Mind you there were about 5 people at most.

I go for breakfast. Many times they are crowded but are able to handle everyone just fine. I like their menu, and I recognize other patrons seem to return frequently as well. . Location is fairly close to my home as well.

I had a double bacon burger that was ok at best. As I left, I noticed everyone had a breakfast plate even though it was noon. Wish I realized that when I was seated. It is very much so an old style diner.

I went in with my Register Service Dog and they refused service to me. I stated they couldn't refuse her as its against ADA. They respinded they have customers who dont like dogs. Im sorry thats not a reason to refuse a Medical Service Animal. Since Bob passed the staff has gone down hill. I knew Bob and he would have never stopped anyone with a service animal (with their jacket on). Sad the place is not what it used to be.
