Ralphs Fresh Fare

In Los Angeles to stay for a couple of days and needed some water and snack. This was conveniently located not too far from where we were staying. The prices were same as a regular grocery store so I can’t complain.

Service was ok. The lines moved fast I checked out within 5 minutes. The store was clean but some of the shelves were empty, i.e. the water section. I don’t know if it was because it was later in the day or they just need to fill the shelves. But we found everything we were looking for so that’s a plus! Also, I like that there’s Starbucks inside. Another plus!

Nice looking store. Really good selection of fresh food and prepared food. They have a good selection of beer and wine. A decent selection of seafood and meat. Full service deli with a olive bar and good selection of cheese and deli meats. Though the service at the deli counter was super slow, only one slow person working, though nice. I was going to get some roasted chicken but gave up after what look like a much long endeavor than I wanted to endure.

Also, they sell these Visa Gift Cards that are mostly not Visa gift cards, these are mostly bank cards and in order to activate you need to provide a Social Security number.

I have never been treated this way anywhere. Im from ventura county. Ive never been treated this way anyplace. Liz short red hair grabbed my shopping cart as I was walking out. Treating me like a criminal. Looking at me with anger. She was pulling the shopping cart to her. Im humiliated. He coworker blonde heavy woman behind her as if I was going to attack them when they were the ones pulling my shopping cart away from me. I was on the road 2 hours. Stopped to get water for the road and other food. Ive never been treated this way in a store .....mall ......restaurant. unacceptable what she did how she Liz treated me. I really do need an apology from her attitude and way of treating a paying customer........what if.....I was indian....Korean....didnt understand English......I wouldnt know what was happening....Im really happy I didnt have my kids with me...they would have been scared humiliated.........Liz you need to be a security somewhere.....go work in LP......you are in the wrong work position

The store itself is huge. Great large selection of various items. Prices are ok, there are some good deals with having the Ralphs reward card. The store was really clean and very well kept. Clean, good variety but ISLES CROWDED WITH DISPLAYS making it hard to maneuver, causes customer impasses. Self checkout only OK, not nearly as good as Walmart. When alarm at door goes off no one resets it - they just let it eventually time out.

Shopped here for like 30+ years. This was our grocery store. Lately, it has just gone so downhill. You cannot go on a shopping trip without buying expired items. You have to check every one and you will for sure find expired food. We told the manager about some fresh noodles that were 4 months expired and a month later, they were still on the shelves, now 5 months expired. Their beer is expired! How can you sell expired beer? The last straw was last week when we bought 2 bags of expired lettuce and didnt notice until we got home. The romaine lettuce was 8 days expired and over a month past the picked date and they cost $10. Go look at their yogurt section and you will see that most are expired.

I ve been living and shopping in Arcadia for close to 40 yrs now. It used to be an upscale friendly place to shop at this Ralph s but that has seemed to change. I ve noticed that there are some really hateful unprofessional employees working there now. Very unhelpful and unsociable. Especially two women in the bakery. It always seems like they are mad about something and don t want to help. Like it s an effort to do something. Never explains anything either but only stares at you like you ve been done something wrong. I will be looking else where for a more adequate place to shop. I am big on service and the service here is slowly going away. There are a lot of staff that are nice but More are being hired that just don t care

The guy that helped me with my curbside pickup today was awesome! I wish I couldve gotten his name. He was such a sweetie! I really wanted to give him a tip but he walked back in so quick and I went inside looking for him but he was already off. that was probably the best curbside interaction Ive had and I really appreciate the help! I like this location. Havent had a bad experience, its always been pleasant.

Horrible experience with an dull - witted and lazy cashier whose name is Oscar L. He ran my card for the wrong item and didnt want to fix it. He said he cannot redo it. I went to the Ralphs 30 min later and talked to the other cashier and she simply helped with it, just pressing couple buttons. Please teach him how to refund the item and run the card afterwards.

While I usually shop at a competing market, I heard Ralphs had better meat. Since Im not a good judge of meat, I thought Id give Ralphs a try. It was an interesting exchange, or I should say, lack of exchange with the employees...first I stopped by the floral dept., smiled at the woman working in that department, she looked straight at me and didnt utter a word back, pretty much the same experience in the produce dept., when I came to the meat dept., I asked the man working there about either of the two cuts I was looking for...he said they dont carry them, theyre too expensive. Then all he kept saying after that is, Buy the chuck, its on sale and turned away. I didnt after that being my third unpleasant encounter and the meat did not look appetizing at all, from there to the check out line...to the next to the last employee, the checker, the only word he utter, not even hello was, Do you want bags?...last but not least, Star Bucks...yet another oh so, not, friendly Ralphs employee...I use that tongue in cheek...the ONLY person that was friendly and had a smile was the lady in Star Bucks who mixed our beverages, Not who took our order. I am friendly, say hello to people easily but what I felt there was a lot of unhappy folks and it showed through to the customers. Not only was the meat not any better than the market I originally went to but I left the store feeling not particularly upbeat or like that was a good experience. Im sure there will be many who will say the total opposite from my experience but Im just sharing how it was for me today.

The self bagging system is flawed. Your machines say place the item in the bag yet you tell us not to bag the items until the end. If you put the bag on the counter or put the item on the counter a second too late or dont put the item on the counter, theres an issue. Attendants, please dont be condescending. The system tells you to do one thing and you verbally tell us to do another thing so please please dont act as if were the problem. You could say sorry, the system is not perfect. But instead you tell us were the problem. Not the best customer service.

I cant say enough about the wonderful service I received at the Ralphs (Arcadia, CA) Floral Department on 4-4-23. I needed a last minute floral arrangement. The florist Gloria was getting ready to clock out for the day. She not only stayed behind to help me find the perfect flowers, but also took her time making the most beautiful arrangement. She and her assistant Arlene went above and beyond to assure that I was taken care of. I received numerous compliments on the arrangement. Thanks so much to you both for all your help.

After adding a Starbucks to the store the prices on everything increased. No one seems to be able to navigate this parking lot as you often have to wait for someone driving the wrong way down the isles or parking almost against your car. Does have a DMV kiosk so thats a plus

I only go here because its so close. Horrible organization across the store, Ive bought items that i found expired when I got home, the fruits/vegetables go bad really fast (especially compared to other stores in the area), and 1/3 of the staff are not pleasant to be around.

This review is strictly regarding renting a RugDoctor. I did not know asking for an employee to help me rent one RugDoctor machine would put such a dent in employee attitudes and the one who actually helped me, Matt, was super uninterested in making this transaction comfortable. Upon entering the store I located the RugDoctor area which is next to the Starbucks and self-check out stands. I saw one employee next to the self-check out machine and proceeded to ask her for help. She was on her phone so it took her a solid 10 - 15 secs to look up but before I could get a word out she said She can help you out over there, pointing 10 feet to another employee who was using the self-check out machine. I was confused because I thought the employee using the machine was a customer but when that person helped me, she called around for an employee who was well-versed with renting the RugDoctor equipment out. Enter Matt, who gave a strong appearance and attitude of sigh, lets get this over with. Thankfully, I had already done my research and did not have any questions regarding usage so the transaction was as quick as it could be but Matt made a couple of side comments that made this interaction unsavory. First comment was him commenting on where I live by saying that he lives near me (Drivers License is required for renting as he was filling out a rental contract). I have no issues with saying you live near me but I responded that I did not grow up in said address and recently moved there from Northern California. Matt made a small comment saying that makes sense. That whole comment was unnecessary and made me think why he felt the need to say that. The second comment was him saying he wants to go home while hes waiting for the computer to load up. At that point I knew this transaction was below bare minimum of customer service. Im all for employees wanting to go home, especially after a long day of work, but one can be more professional. The only reason I went to his store was because the Ralphs off 3601 E Foothill Blvd did not have the equipment I wanted to rent out. I was at that store 15 mins before this store and although they didnt have what I wanted, the hospitality and service I received from one of the males there was 1000% better than this store.

These employees dont understand, theyre hired in part for Customer Service! You sell things to the public, thats your job. I had an interaction in 1 way or another with 3 employees and they all had bad attitudes, especially Nicci and the manager Mike/Mark is a liar and what an insensitive human being!!. I just talked with managers at other Ralphs and they do accept formula returns. I returned 1 that was opened because it broke my daughter out ITS A BABY FORMULA SHORTAGE AND WERENOTBGIVING FREE MONEY AWAY FOR THINGS THAT HARM OUR CHILDREN!!! And parents are trying to feed their babies on what we can find and I couldnt get in touch with my wife but there was only 1 bottle of 1 kind on the shelf, the last 1 but it was 20$ and he said it cant be returned,even unopened. I wasnt going to open it but if we did, we would have kept it, like so many other kinds but to say it cant be returned unopened, is rediculous!! And I just spoke with managers of 2 others ralphs that said yes, if they had some. I was left with such a bad taste in my mouth for this store that I told people about it and they too had nothing nice to say about this store and theyre interactions. Ill never be back here. Bad service and bad attitudes.

I have been going here for ages, so it is very familiar, and easy to get in and out of on my way to and from work. My main complaint is that the section where they sell bottled water, sparkling water and items like tonic water are always out of stock on many items. Bare shelves almost every time I go in. The cashiers I have known for a long time and mostly very nice, although there are some store managers that could really use a brush-up course on customer service. There is also one deli worker that on occasion acts like you are disturbing him by asking for help.

Called the Ralphs to ask if their DMV Kiosk worked and the attendant immediately responded that it was working. Drove there less than an hour later and the Kiosk is out of service.

I think she probably think we looks easily to be taken advantage of. So if you guys want to buy stuff here make sure the price is right. Don t be tricked by the night mean manager over here! The food is good but there is a big guy cashier who was prejudiced against the Chinese/Asian customers. He is only nice to the White customers. He never said hi, or thanks to any Chinese/Asian customers. The other cashiers are ok.

Im giving a 2 star just because I do still like coming here. But Debbie the sales manager is very sarcastic and did not like it one bit. If I asked what the price was after the discount is applied. Very good grocery store, high quality produce, but, like other so-called supermarkets, does not carry some basic goods, e.g., frozen pineapple juice and malt vinegar. One can buy frozen orange/pineapple/mango juice which is really apple juice. Be sure to read all labels of all so-called juices, drinks and punches. I was driven to start shopping at Wal-Mart to get frozen pineapple juice, and now shop there regularly. Still, it is a pretty good local market, and some of the Kroger-branded products are excellent and well-priced.

I have mixed emotion, Ive been coming to this for about 7 years... Most of them are decent people.. today I have to deal with the cashier Arlene,,,,,Arlene is not the greatest lady I observed her dealing with two different people ahead of me she was so nice to them when it came to me she was very rude .. I called her manager I let her know that happened , manager was a decent lady... All Im saying if I Arlene she dont like her Job go work somewhere else simple as that. Happy holidays everyone.

I highly suggest that a place be marked on the floor where you should stand to wait for the self service check out...I stood by it and was told there was a line of two people across the aisle in the freezer area...I moved up after it was my turn and was told to get in the back of the line...also the lady that should know me acted like I was a nobody and was very rude...THIS IS WHY I SHOP AT AT TARGET AND TRADER JOES...

Despite the expired and moldy grocery that they carries, the customer service is terrible. Thinking Im just run right in and pick something up real quick. An item was placed at a wrong spot, I walked the cashier to where I found it. He told me its at a wrong place and suppose to be here but its overstocked. So he ended up taking the item I wanted to purchase and place it at another wrong price spot because the original price spot is overstocked. He didnt say anything to me... no sorry... or I can price match it for me. He simply took my item and just place it at another wrong price tag where theres space for it. I walked right out. Didnt even want to bother to speak with such a poor customer service cashier. Thanks for so much for trying to save time and not going to Walmart. Keep up the good work Vons. Let see how much longer you can last.

This Ralphs has been remodeled to a Fresh-Fare. It now has a Starbucks inside. All new shelving and is very nice. Highly recommend that you pay a visit.

No cashiers available here in the a.m just like at at all the other Ralphs. Maybe 7am is to early to shop or purchase anything here. Ralphs is force feeding their customers to the self check out stand so we can do their job so they dont have to. Maybe if we were given a discount it would be worth the time, trouble and inconvenience but self checking and bagging a full basket of groceries on your own is another reason why Im opening an Amazon account for my groceries. Good Riddance Ralphs.

I just happen to be close to Ralphs on foothill blvd and instead of going to my regular Ralphs I stopped there. I wish I hadnt. The checker was very arrogant and rude, I had a rain check so when the manager (a woman) was called she made it seem as though I was asking for charity. I will never shop there and would never recommend shopping there either.

I saw Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli in this very store buying milk late at night around 86 when they lived on blueth hill. With that being said this ralphs is like any other, it has groceries .

Employees here have horrible customer service. Local to this store but I drive the extra few miles to shop at Ralphs in Pasadena just so I can avoid this place.

Nice looking store. Really good selection of fresh food and prepared food. They have a good selection of beer and wine. A decent selection of seafood and meat. Full service deli with a olive bar and good selection of cheese and deli meats. Though the service at the deli counter was super slow, only one slow person working, though nice. I was going to get some roasted chicken but gave up after what look like a much long endeavor than I wanted to endure.
